Myo9a is an actin-based molecular motor with a RhoGAP domain in its C-terminal tail. It plays a role in a variety of biological processes, such as in regulating the immune response, neuron development, and cancer progression, and its deregulation can lead to the development of disease conditions. Myo9a acts mainly via its RhoGAP domain. In the current study, we used a pET32a vector with an N-terminal Trx-His6 tag to express Myo9a-RhoGAP in a soluble form. High-purity Myo9a-RhoGAP protein was obtained after two rounds of Ni2+ affinity and size-exclusion chromatography. We mixed Myo9a-RhoGAP and RhoA in equimolar ratios in the presence of 5 mM MgCl2 and 20 mM NaF to achieve a stable RhoA GTP hydrolysis transition state complex. Analytical gel filtration and SDS-PAGE were used to verify complex formation. ITC and GAP assays suggested that Myo9a-RhoGAP could bind to RhoA and accelerate RhoA GTP hydrolysis in vitro. We purified the soluble Myo9a-RhoGAP protein with GAP activity and achieved the Myo9a-RhoGAP/RhoA·GDP/MgF3− complex assembly in vitro for the first time. The data may provide novel insights into Myo9a structure and function.

ZigBee and LoRa are communication technologies widely used in the application of the Internet of things (IoT), especially in the field of smart building environmental monitoring. The main purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the transmission performance of ZigBee and LoRa wireless communication networks in the building. Through two indicators of packet loss rate (PLR) and round-trip time (RTT), this paper discusses in detail the transmission performance of ZigBee and LoRa technologies in whole buildings under the same working conditions. We set up three experimental scenarios of line-of-sight, horizontal and vertical to evaluate the communication performance of these two networks by changing the baud rate and packet length, and cost and power consumption were considered. Experiments have shown that LoRa networks outperform ZigBee networks in most cases and are the best choice for building communication networks. The experimental results provide basic data support and engineering reference for the application of these two technologies in buildings, especially for the deployment of communication networks throughout buildings. The innovation and contribution of this paper are to discuss the effect of packet length, baud rate, distance, and different locations within a building on the performance of ZigBee and LoRa transmissions, using RTT and PLR as metrics through three experimental scenarios.

Photovoltaic thermal systems have gained tremendous popularity in the production of electric and thermal energy. In this paper, the photovoltaic thermal modules for the building façade assisted by heat pump system is proposed which combines the photovoltaic modules with an evaporator part of the heat pump system to produce hot water and electrical energy. Also, the photovoltaic thermal panels are used to preheat the cold ambient fresh air without heat pump operation. The proposed system was constructed at the Institute of Building Energy, Dalian University of Technology, China to study the ambient fresh air heating characteristic, electrical power generation, and hot water generation through performance evaluation indices under natural weather conditions. It was found that the average electrical, thermal, and overall efficiencies are 8.8%, 26%, and 50%, respectively during the pre-heating of fresh air. While the average air temperature is 15.2°C inside an air gap. The average COP for water heating is 3.91 during the water heating mode. This study could be used as a guide for photovoltaic thermal solar-assisted heat pump systems on building envelopes in a multi-energy generation under different weather conditions. Practical application: The study considers the photovoltaic thermal modules for building façade not only to generate the electrical energy and pre-heated fresh air but also to generate the hot water when assisted with the heat pump system. This research could assist researchers and engineers in the field of photovoltaic thermal façade systems in multi-energy generation such as for the production of electricity, heated/cooled fresh air, and hot water generation.

Cryptosporidium parvum is a major zoonotic pathogen responsible for outbreaks of severe diarrhoea in humans and calves. Almost all investigations of cryptosporidiosis outbreaks caused by C. parvum have focused on its IIa subtype family in industrialized nations. From December 2018 to April 2019, approximately 200 neonatal calves on a large cattle farm in Hebei Province, China, were diagnosed with watery diarrhoea and over 40 died. To investigate the cause of the outbreak, faecal samples were taken during and after the outbreak from neonatal calves of ≤4 weeks of age (n = 40 and n = 56) and older calves of 4-24 weeks of age (n = 79 and n = 38). A total of 18 faecal samples collected from ill calves at the peak of the outbreak were analysed for four common enteric pathogens using an enzymatic immunoassay (EIA). In addition, 75 samples from neonatal calves were tested for rotavirus by EIA. All samples were analysed for Cryptosporidium spp. using PCR and sequencing techniques. Of the initial 18 samples from sick calves, ten were positive for C. parvum, five for rotavirus, and one for coronavirus. The overall prevalence of rotavirus in neonatal calves was 20.0% (15/75), with no significant differences during and after the outbreak. In contrast, Cryptosporidium parvum infections were significantly higher during the outbreak (60.0%, 24/40) than after the outbreak (30.4%, 17/56; p = .004). Cryptosporidium parvum infection was associated with the presence of watery diarrhoea in neonatal calves (OR = 11.19), while no association was observed between C. bovis infection and diarrhoea. All C. parvum isolates were identified as subtype IIdA20G1. This is one of the few reports of outbreaks of severe diarrhoea caused by C. parvum IId subtypes in calves. More attention should be directed towards the dissemination of C. parvum in China.

Purpose This paper aims to present a numerical study on the natural convection, which operates either as an evaporator or condenser unit of the heat pump system to pre-cool and pre-heat the ambient fresh air. Design/methodology/approach This study focuses on natural air cooling or heating within the air channel considering the double skin configuration. Particular focus is given to the analysis of airflow and the heat transfer processes in an air channel to cool or heat the ambient fresh air. In this study, the physical model consists of one wall, either heated uniformly or cooled uniformly, whereas the other wall is adiabatic. Findings The results show that the variation of both velocity and temperature is observed as the flow transition occurs at the evaporator or condenser wall. In either case, the temperature rises in the range of 6.3–8.4°C with an increase in mass flow rate from 0.07–0.08 kg/s in the photovoltaic thermal condenser part, while in the photovoltaic thermal evaporator part, the change in mass flow rate from 0.048–0.061 kg/s causes a decrease in temperature from 7.1–4.5°C. Practical implications The solar-assisted photovoltaic thermal heat pump system, in building façade having an air layer application, is feasible for pre-heating and pre-cooling the ambient fresh air and also reduces the energy needed to treat the fresh air. Originality/value The influence of condensing and evaporating temperature under natural convection mode in double skin conformation is considered for pre-heating and pre-cooling of ambient fresh air.

The role of species-specific immunity in infection patterns of Cryptosporidium spp. in humans and farm animals is not well understood. In the present study, the dynamics of Cryptosporidium infections in a natural cryptosporidiosis model was examined using genotyping, subtyping and whole genome sequencing tools. In a cross-sectional survey of Cryptosporidium spp. in 934 dairy cattle on one farm, marked age-associated differences in the distribution of Cryptosporidium species and C. bovis subtypes were observed. In a closely followed longitudinal birth cohort study of 81 calves over a 9-month period, shedding of C. parvum oocysts by the IIdA19G1 subtype started at 4 days, peaked at 2 weeks and ended mostly by 4 weeks. In contrast, the shedding of C. bovis oocysts started at 2 weeks, peaked initially at 6 weeks and had a second wave during 15th to 23rd weeks. For C. ryanae, calves had mostly only one episode of infection by one subtype, with accumulative infection increasing much slower than C. parvum and C. bovis. Overall, the accumulative infection rates and mean duration of oocyst shedding for calves in the cohort were 97.4% (76/78) and 2.3 weeks, 100.0% (80/80) and 3.9 weeks, and 78.7% (63/80) and 3.2 weeks for C. parvum, C. bovis and C. ryanae, respectively. The oocyst shedding intensity was much lower in C. bovis and C. ryanae infections compared with C. parvum infection, and in the second episode of C. bovis infection compared with the first episode. The two episodes of C. bovis infections were caused by different genome types that differed mostly in nine genes. Cryptosporidium parvum infection was associated with the occurrence of watery diarrhoea. Data from the natural history study of cryptosporidiosis indicate that despite the existence of acquired immunity against homologous pathogens, neonatal animals experience waves of Cryptosporidium infections by different species and genome types.

Background RNA-sequencing was performed to explore the bovine liver transcriptomes of Holstein cows to detect potential functional genes related to lactation and milk composition traits in dairy cattle. The bovine transcriptomes of the nine liver samples from three Holstein cows during dry period (50-d prepartum), early lactation (10-d postpartum), and peak of lactation (60-d postpartum) were sequenced using the Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform. Results A total of 204, 147 and 81 differentially expressed genes (DEGs, p p APOC2, PPP1R3B, PKLR, ODC1, DUSP1, LMNA, GALE, ANGPTL4, LPIN1 and CDKN1A. Conclusion This study explored the complexity of the liver transcriptome across three lactation periods in dairy cattle by performing RNA sequencing. Integrated analysis of DEGs and reported QTL and GWAS data allowed us to find ten key candidate genes influencing milk production traits.

The historical practice of widow chastity in China is regarded as an outcome of traditional Confucian thought. This study examines how economic factors played key roles in the formation of this cultural tradition by studying the causality between technological progress in the cotton textile sector and the increase in the number of widow chastity cases between the Ming and Qing Dynasties. We find that the incidence of widow chastity increased significantly with rapid technological change in the cotton textile sector and increased demands for female labor. This result remains robust when the issues of widow chastity selection and alternative economic and cultural channels are addressed.

This paper presents a radiative/convective hybrid heat dissipation photovoltaic-thermal heat pump (HHD-PVT-HP) refrigeration system based on the traditional PVT solar heat pump, which can be used to meet the cooling demand of buildings. PVT modules are used for the system condenser. The PVT modules emit heat to the ambient surroundings (hybrid heat dissipation) mainly by two ways: radiation to the night sky and convection with the surrounding air. An experimental study and parametric analysis of the HHD-PVT-HP system is conducted. The experimental results indicate that the HHD-PVT-HP system is able to stably refrigerate on summer night, with an average COPref value ranging from 1.8 to 2.1. Moreover, the heat dissipation performance of the PVT modules is good, with an average hybrid heat dissipation flux of ∼420 W/m2. To predict the operation characteristics of the HHD-PVT-HP under various ambient conditions, a system simulation model is established and validated with experimental data. The simulation results show that changes in the ambient air temperature and wind velocity have obvious effects on the heat dissipation characteristics of the PVT modules and system refrigeration performance. However, when the outdoor wind velocity is greater than 1 m/s, its influence is obviously lessened. Additionally, the relative humidity of the ambient air has little effect on the refrigeration capacity and COPref of the HHD-PVT-HP system.

Photovoltaic thermal heat pump technology stands for the combination of solar heat pump technology and a photovoltaic system, which has the characteristics of tri-generation (heating, cooling, and electricity) to meet the building's energy requirement. In this paper, the dual-use photovoltaic thermal heat pump system was used and investigated experimentally with an emphasis on the refrigeration mode, which with the feature of the novel roll-bond photovoltaic thermal unit working as condenser directly. Moreover, renewable energy such as solar radiation and long-wave radiation are the main energy source of this system. The experimental investigation of the system comprising; 4 roll-bond photovoltaic thermal units, 1 horsepower heat pump unit and 600 L ice storage tank was carried out. The performance evaluation method and uncertainty analysis of the system was proposed and implemented along with the examination on the refrigeration performance and operating characteristics of the system. The results indicate that the proposed photovoltaic thermal heat pump system can achieve the refrigeration for building space cooling demand in summer with high performance and long-term stable operation. This study could provide a valuable reference for the photovoltaic thermal heat pump multi-generation system design and large-scale practical application in northern China.

Ischemic stroke is one of the most common causes of death worldwide. The transformation of microglia from the classic M1 to the alternative M2 state has been shown to have both deleterious and immunosuppressive roles in neuroinflammation. Microglial polarization toward the M2 phase is currently proposed to be a beneficial phenotype in brain ischemic injury. Phoenixin-20 is a newly identified pleiotropic neuropeptide expressed abundantly in different brain regions. In this study, we found that administration of Phoenixin-20 in ischemic stroke middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) mice significantly reduced the brain infarction area but improved the neurological deficit score. Gene expression analysis showed Phoenixin-20 treatment inhibited pro-inflammatory M1 phase microglial markers: a cluster of differentiation molecule 11b (CD11b), cluster of differentiation molecule 86 (CD86), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin 6 (IL-6), and increased anti-inflammatory M2 phase markers (found in Inflammatory Zone 1 (FIZZ1), Arginase 1 (Arg-1), Chitinase 3-like 3 (YM1), and interleukin-10 (IL-10)) in the infarcted brain. We further investigated the molecular mechanism of Phoenixin-20 in cultured microglia. We found that treatment with it induced signature genes expression in microglial M2 state, including Fizz1, Arg-1, YM1, and IL-10, indicating the promotion of microglial polarization toward the M2 state. Furthermore, we found that treatment with the M2 phase cytokine interleukin 4 (IL-4) induced the expression of microglial G Protein-Coupled Receptor (GPR173), which is the receptor of Phoenixin-20. Silencing of the microglial signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6) partially blocked the effect of IL-4 on GPR173, suggesting that STAT6 is the upstream regulator of GPR173. Finally, we showed that the silencing of GPR173 completely abolished the effect of Phoenixin-20 in microglia, indicating the dependency of its regulatory role on GPR173. Collectively, our study demonstrates that Phoenixin-20 has a protective role in the acute stroke model. Our cell-based study demonstrates Phoenixin-20 promotes microglia toward M2 transformation, which could be the mechanism of its neuroprotection.

Photovoltaic thermal heat pumps are conducive to the environment and have drawn much attention due to their great potential in buildings for energy generation and saving of land. This paper puts forward the façade-mounted photovoltaic integrating air chamber cooled by refrigerant-based heat pump. The integrated photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) on the building facade is not only thermally efficient but also results in ambient fresh air cooling, hot water, and electricity production. This paper investigated the performance of façade mounted photovoltaic integrating air chamber by heat pump, which results in a multi-energy generation. The working mode and description of the façade-mounted photovoltaic integrated air chamber by heat pump during summer are presented. Finally, the system performance was analyzed underexposed weather conditions for electrical performance, hot water production, and cooling of hot fresh air. It was found that the average and minimum temperatures of the cooling air through the air chamber reached 21.7 °C and 15 °C, respectively. The average electrical, thermal, and overall efficiencies of the façade-mounted photovoltaic thermal system were 8%, 77.6%, and 98%, respectively. The average coefficient of performance (COP) of the heat pump during water heating was 4.41.

Direct-expansion solar assisted heat pump (DX-SAHP) is a promising technology for saving energy. In this paper, vapor injection (VI) cycle system to DX-SAHP system is studied. Thermodynamic comparative analyses of ideal VI cycle and ideal conventional vapor compression cycle was carried out for verifying the advantages by applying VI cycle into DX-SAHP. Additionally, photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) modules were used in the system to harvest thermal energy and electric power. A PVT based solar heat pump system employing VI cycle (PVT-VISHP) was proposed, fabricated and investigated experimentally. Performance of the experimental prototype was subsequently evaluated for seven days in winter. The system’s performance was evaluated based on the average ambient temperature of −1.13 °C and solar irradiation of 164.03 W/m2. Results showed that the total generated electricity, heat, and consumed power of the system were 0.51 kWh, 23.68 kWh, and 7.24 kWh, respectively. Moreover, average heating coefficient of performance (COPth) and advanced coefficient of performance (COPPVT) of the PVT-VISHP system were 3.27 and 3.45, respectively. In the study, the ambient-evaporating temperature difference ranged from 9.2 °C to 17.1 °C. Furthermore, variations of injected vapor’s pressure, mass flow rate, mass flow rate ratio, and subcooling effects were analyzed in detail. Performance of the PVT modules during a sunny day was tested. It was found that the PVT modules’ average thermal collecting and PV efficiencies were 49.9% and 7.51%, respectively.

The hybrid photovoltaic-thermal system has shown great progress. Electrical energy is produced from PV panels while thermal energy is produced via a working fluid carried through the panels. In this paper, the vertical PV/T is introduced using working fluids such as air and liquid, which serve to control the excess temperature of the PV panels as well as to collect heat to be made available as thermal energy. Installations of PV/T systems on building façades, as well as integration with other technologies such as heat pipe and heat pump are also discussed. Current studies of such building integration technologies are also explored, including the scale of application. This study aims to provide constructive information which can be used in future development of building facades for large-scale applications, to contribute to future sustainable development. Practical application: This study helps researchers and engineers who are considering photovoltaic thermal systems for building façades to have better understanding of its effect on electrical and thermal energy – for space heating, fresh air supply and hot water supply – using an active building envelope.

Photovoltaic thermal heat pump system has gained much popularity in the recent research field, which generally refers to the integration of photovoltaic and solar assisted heat pump to meet the various building energy demand. In this paper, dual-use roll-bond photovoltaic thermal heat pump system employing new roll-bond photovoltaic thermal unit has been proposed and investigated experimentally. The system operation principles and the design method of the main components are introduced in more details. A mathematical model of each component of the system is developed according to distributed and lumped parameter models. The tri-generation performance evaluation method of the unit and system is also proposed. The experimental investigation on the tri-generation performance of the system is carried out simultaneously, in terms of the heating, cooling and power supply capacity. Through analysis, it is evident that the proposed system has the potential to provide space cooling, hot water, and electricity for buildings with high efficiency and long-term stable working condition. Furthermore, the detailed performance parameters analysis has been carried out. The results demonstrate that the roll-bond photovoltaic thermal heat pump system is practically feasible and has a large potential for building energy conservation.

The BECMP (building energy consumption monitoring platform) is a valuable tool that can bring about a remarkable improvement in terms of energy conservation. With the growth in scale and use BECMP, data packet loss is becoming an ever-increasing and more serious problem. Large-scale BECMPs are typically configured using a hierarchical structure, making it susceptible to problems such as congestion and packet loss due to malfunctions in the link layer. These problems lead to a loss in efficiency of maintenance, thus eroding the gains realized by BECMP. In this paper, a decentralized and self-organized network structure is proposed. Rather than a hierarchical structure, a flat topology is implemented to improve robustness and the efficiency of data transmission. A corresponding routing strategy based on the minimum spanning tree algorithm has been developed and validated. Simulation results have shown that the proposed network is able to adapt to interference within the network and achieve a better overall performance.

Photovoltaic thermal (PVT) heat pump technology refers to the integration of photovoltaic and solar heat pump, representing the deep exploitation and utilization of solar energy. In this paper, roll-bond-PVT heat pump (RB-PVTHP) system with single stage compression is proposed and investigated experimentally. The roll-bond-PVT (RB-PVT) unit is introduced in detail which is combined with the photovoltaic module and single-sided roll-bond evaporation heat exchanger laminating together. The designed experimental system consists of 4 pieces of RB-PVT units, 1 HP heat pump unit and 150 L heat storage tank, which is also equipped with various monitoring sensors to explore the system operating characteristics. Then the performance evaluation method of the unit and system is proposed. The experimental investigation on the cogeneration performance of the system in northern China during summer is carried out simultaneously, in terms of the thermal efficiency, electrical efficiency, thermal-based overall efficiency of the unit and heating COP of the system. The operating characteristics monitoring results show that the system works in a long-term stable condition during the daytime with considerable cogeneration performance. The detailed performance parameters have been given in this paper. This study demonstrates that the RB-PVTHP system has the large-scale practically feasible application value in northern China.

Current thermal sensation estimation models mostly are suitable for the sedentary condition, failing to consider the difference of human thermal sensation in different activity states. This has caused critical limitations in accurately predicting thermal sensation. Moreover, the development method of current models primarily relied on regression analysis, which ignored the non-linear characteristics between the skin temperature and thermal sensation. This paper aimed to identify the significant parameters that can accurately estimate human thermal sensation in different activity states by experimenting and developing the estimation model based on the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model. A series of human subject experiments were carried out in an environment chamber. The results indicated the feasibility of using wrist skin temperature and its time differential and heart rate as variables for developing thermal sensation estimation model. After that, the T–S fuzzy model was used to develop the thermal sensation estimation models, taking into account the influence of gender. To analyze the applicability of the estimation models in an unstable condition, several experiments were further carried out in the actual built environment. The study revealed that the thermal sensation estimation model based on skin temperature and its time differential and heart rate showed a high degree of accuracy, while the estimation model based only on skin temperature and heart rate also indicated good prediction effect. In addition, the verification results illustrated that the proposed models can predict the human thermal sensation in the unstable environmental condition.

Mammal's milk is an abundantly foremost source of proteins, lipids, and micronutrients for human nutrition and health. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying synthesis of milk components provides practical benefits to improve the milk quality via systematic breeding program in mammals. Through RNAi with EEF1D in primary bovine mammary epithelial cells, we phenotypically observed aberrant formation of cytoplasmic lipid droplets and significantly decreased milk triglyceride level by 37.7%, and exploited the mechanisms by which EEF1D regulated milk lipid synthesis via insulin (PI3K-Akt), AMPK, and PPAR pathways. In the EEF1D CRISPR/Cas9 knockout mice, incompletely developed mammary glands at 9th day postpartum with small or unformed lumens, and significantly decreased triglyceride concentration in milk by 23.4% were observed, as well as the same gene expression alterations in the three pathways. For dairy cattle, we identified a critical regulatory mutation modifying EEF1D transcription activity, which interpreted 7% of the genetic variances of milk lipid yield and percentage. Our findings highlight the significance of EEF1D in mammary gland development and milk lipid synthesis in mammals.

The Internet of things presents tremendous opportunities for the energy management and occupant comfort improvement in smart buildings by making data of environmental and equipment parameters more readily and continuously available. Long-range (LoRa) technology provides a comprehensive wireless solution for data acquisition and communication in smart buildings through its superior performance, such as the long-range transmission, low power consumption and strong penetration. Starting with two vital indicators (network transmission delay and packet loss rate), this study explored the coverage and transmission performances of LoRa in buildings in detail. We deployed three LoRa receiver nodes on the same floor and eight LoRa receiver nodes on different floors in a 16-story building, respectively, where data acquisition terminal was located in the center of the whole building. The communication performance of LoRa was evaluated by changing the send power, communication rate, payload length and position of the wireless module. In the current research, the metrics of LoRa were quantified to facilitate its practical application in smart buildings. To the best of our knowledge, this may be the first academic research evaluating RTT performance of LoRa via practical experiments.

To explore the molecular basis for a pedigree affected with coagulation factor V (FV) deficiency.Clinical data of the patient and his family members was analyzed. Targeted capture and next-generation sequencing (NGS) and Sanger sequencing were carried out to detect potential variant of the FV gene.The patient presented with jaundice and prolonged prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastic time (APTT). V factor activity measured only 0.1% of the normal level, though the patient had no sign of bleeding. A paternal heterozygous variant c.653TC (p.F218S) and a maternal heterozygous variant c.3642_3643del (p.P1215Rfs*175) were identified in the FV gene of the patient. His elder brother was a heterozygous carrier of the c.653TC (p.F218S) variant. c.653TC(p.F218S) was a known pathogenic variant, while the c.3642_3643del (p.P1215Rfs*175) variant was unreported previously.Mutations of the FV gene probably underlie the hereditary coagulation factor V deficiency in this patient. NGS combined with Sanger sequencing has detected potential variant with efficiency and provided a reliable basis for clinical and prenatal diagnosis for this family.

Background Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is an acquired disorder of mucosal damage characterized by the diffuse or local necrosis of the intestine. The suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) has been demonstrated to possess anti-inflammatory action in gastritis, ulcerative colitis and other inflammatory diseases. The present study aims to explore the effects of SOCS3 on LPS-induced colonic cell model of NEC, and investigate the underlying mechanisms. Methods Expression of SOCS3 in tissue samples of NEC and LPS-induced enterocytes were evaluated by real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR). Western blotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were applied to examine the effect of SOCS3 on inflammatory molecules. Co-immunoprecipitation assay were devoted to explore the relation between SOCS3 and TLR4. Results We proved that SOCS3 was expressed at a low level in tissue samples of NEC and LPS-induced enterocytes, and LPS inhibited SOCS3 expression via JAK2/STAT3 pathway. Overexpression of SOCS3 weaken the LPS-induced inflammatory response in FHC and CACO2 cells. Moreover, SOCS3 downregulates proinflammatory cytokines by targeting TLR4, thus mediating the p65 nuclear translocation, and the activation of NLR family pyrin domain containing 3/absent in melanoma-2 (NLRP3/AIM2) inflammasome, ultimately reveals its anti-inflammatory effects. Conclusions Taken together, our data revealed that LPS inhibited SOCS3 expression via JAK2/STAT3 pathway, and SOCS3 protects enterocytes against NEC through mediating p65 nuclear translocation and NLRP3/AIM2 inflammasome activation in a TLR4 dependent manner.

In this paper, the performance of an indirect natural circulation PVT system for domestic hot water with refrigerant as the circulating working medium was discussed and analyzed experimentally, including thermal performance, photovoltaic performance, overall efficiency, responding speed, heat exchange state, and temperature distribution at different positions. The influence of different five radiation intensities was tested. The results indicate that the performance is largely influenced by radiation intensity. The response speed of the system is greatly improved. It can complete the start-up within 5 min and maintain stable operation at relatively high efficiency. The superheat degree stays between 3 and 4 °C, which is not affected by the radiation intensity, but the sub-cooling degree of the liquid medium increases with the increasing of radiation intensity. Furthermore, the temperature of the panel all reaches the superheat range, but the superheat degree in the middle of the panel is the largest. The temperature distribution is not uniform, which needs to be optimized further.

The solar PVT heat pump technology shows an increasing trend in the field of building energy conservation and renewable energy utilization nowadays, due to its highly efficient and stable time-sharing distributed poly-generation characteristics, as well as its unique advantages in the integration with buildings. This paper analyzed the basic demands of modern buildings with respect to hot water, electricity, cooling, heating and architectural appearance. Several existing problems in the development of solar energy utilization technology were pointed out, as well as three development directions of integration, which refers to the integration of photo-electric and photo-thermal properties, the integration of heating and cooling, the integration of solar modules and buildings. Taking into consideration the perspective of building epidermis, the forms of solar modules which are suitable for the basic architectural design requirements were studied, along with the application of such solar modules and its feasibility. In addition, the design method of the roll-bond-PVT unit and the PVT heat pump poly-generation system were also proposed in this paper. The experimental study was carried out simultaneously, and the main experiment results of the PVT heat pump system were given.
