The objective of the work was to carry out the ethnobotanical exploration, collection and in situcharacterization of populations of chilli Amashito(Capsicum annuum var. Glabriusculum) from the states of Tabasco and Chiapas. The work was carried out from July to December 2017 in 24 communities in the state of Tabasco and 15 communities in the north of the state of Chiapas, Mexico. Exploration sites were chosen based on the survey of key informants (recognized collectors), market information and available literature. Asurvey was applied to 39 collectors, one for each study site. The sample size to collect varied between 3 and 5 plants. Twenty morphological descriptors of plant, flower and fruit from 98 populations were measured in situ. The data were analyzed by means of principal component analysis and hierarchical clusters with the 13 variables that explained the greatest morphological variation. The collectors identify nine morphotypes of chilliAmashitothat are distinguished mainly by color, pigmentation, shape andsize of the fruit, and these grow mainly in ecosystems of cacao, acahual, banana and milpa farms. The first three main components explain 50.2% of observed morphological variation. The populations of chilliAmashitoare differentiated and grouped according to the geographical characteristics of the study sites. The populations of the northern region of Chiapas were characterized by presenting elongated and larger fruits compared to those of the Tabasco communities. It was also found that in the neighboringareas where the two study regions converge, a group of populations that shared morphological similarities was distinguished., El objetivo del trabajo fue realizar la exploración etnobotánica, recolecta y caracterización in situ de poblaciones de chile Amashito (Capsicum annuum var. Glabriusculum) de los estados de Tabasco y Chiapas. El trabajo se desarrolló de julio a diciembre de 2017 en 24 comunidades del estado de Tabasco y 15 comunidades del norte del estado de Chiapas, México. Los sitios de exploración se eligieron con base al sondeo de informantes clave (recolectores reconocidos), información de mercados y literatura disponible. Se aplicó una encuesta a 39 recolectores, uno por cada sitio de estudio. El tamaño de muestra a recolectar varió entre 3 y 5 plantas. Se midieron in situ 20 descriptores morfológicos de planta, flor y fruto de 98 poblaciones. Los datos se analizaron por medio de análisis de componentes principales y conglomerados jerárquicos con las 13 variables que explicaron la mayor variación morfológica. Los recolectores identifican nueve morfotipos de chile Amashito que se distinguen por color, pigmentación, forma y tamaño del fruto principalmente, y estos crecen principalmente en ecosistemas de haciendas de cacao, acahuales, platanales y milpas. Los tres primeros componentes principales explican 50.2% de variación morfológica observada. Las poblaciones de chile Amashito se diferencian y agrupan de acuerdo con las características geográficas de los sitios de estudio. Las poblaciones de la región norte de Chiapas se caracterizaron por presentar frutos alongados y de mayor tamaño en comparación con los de las comunidades de Tabasco. También se encontró que en las zonas aledañas en donde convergen las dos regiones de estudio se distinguió un grupo de poblaciones que comparten similitudes morfológicas.

Aethina tumida Murray (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae), is a pest of Apis mellifera L. (Hymenoptera: Ap-idae), responsible for economic losses in honey production. In Mexico, there are no authorized pesticide products for its control. The main objective of this investigation was to evaluate the tox-ic effect of Dysphania ambrosioides L., Ocimum basilicum L., and Origanum vulgare L. on the survival of adults of A. tumida. Dysphania ambrosioides registered the highest mortality rate (100%) at 1, 5 and 10 g 24 or 48 hours after treatment, being statistically different from the rest of the treatments (P ≤ 0.05). Treatments based on O. basilicum and O. vulgare, in which dose and time played an important role, both demonstrated greater effectiveness (69.2 and 65.8% respectively), with a 10 g dose 48 hours after treatment. Dysphania ambrosioides powder proved to be the best treatment for the control of A. tumida, Aethina tumida Murray (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae), es una plaga de Apis mellifera L. (Hymenoptera: Apidae), responsable de pérdidas económicas en la producción de miel. En México no existe un producto autorizado para su control. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue evaluar el efecto tóxico de Dysphania ambrosioides L., Ocimum basilicum L. y Origanum vulgare L. en la so-brevivencia de adultos de A. tumida. Dysphania ambrosioides registró la mayor tasa de mortalidad (100%) a 1, 5 y 10 g después de 24 o 48 h del tratamiento, siendo estadísticamente diferente al resto de los tratamientos (P ≤ 0.05). Para O. basilicum y O. vulgare, la dosis y el tiempo jugaron un papel importante en su efectividad (69.2 y 65.8% respectivamente) con la dosis de 10 g a las 48 h posteriores al tratamiento. Beekeeping is one of the outstanding activities worldwide, however, the time of shortage of nectar and pollen negatively affects the conditions of the colonies; In view of this situation, the present work aimed to evaluate protein syrups obtained from chaya leaves (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius Mill IM Johns), moringa (Moringa oleifera L.) and ramón seeds (Brosimum alicastrum Swarts) added in doses of 10, 25 and 50 g of sugar syrup in a 1: 1 ratio (p / v). Acceptance, weight gain, number of bees, number of cells with capped brood, nectar-honey and pollen were recorded. Data were collected using a completely randomized blocks design with a 3x4 factorial arrangement. The B. alicastrum syrup had an acceptance of 99.9%, followed by C. aconitifolius and M. oleifera, with 91.7 and 83.4% respectively, in weight gain, B. alicastrum gained 0.87 ± 0.14 kg, followed by C. aconitifolius and M. oleifera, with 0.3 ± 0.17 and -0.4 ± 0.11 kg respectively, in the same way B. alicastrum presented the best response for the variables, number of bees (1021.64), cells with brood (499.69) and cells with nectar. -Honey (515.22), surpassing C. aconitifolius (791.33 bees, 125.88 brood and 299.88 nectar-honey) and M. oleifera (805.08 bees, 240.11 brood and 305.45 nectar-honey); It is concluded that the syrup added with 25 g of B. alicastrum was the best combination and can be used as an efficient alternative in the supplementary feeding of honey bees during the lean season., RESUMEN. La apicultura es una de las actividades sobresalientes a nivel mundial, sin embargo, la época de escasez de néctar y polen afecta negativamente las condiciones de las colonias; ante tal situación, el presente trabajo, tuvo como objetivo evaluar jarabes proteicos obtenido de hojas de chaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius Mill I. M. Johns), moringa (Moringa oleifera L.) y semillas de ramón (Brosimum alicastrum Swarts) adicionadas en dosis de 10, 25 y 50 g al jarabe de azúcar en proporción 1:1 (p/v). Se registró la aceptación, ganancia de peso, número de abejas, número de celdas con cría operculada, néctar-miel y polen. Los datos se recabaron mediante un diseño bloques completamente al azar con un arreglo factorial 3x4. El jarabe de B. alicastrum, tuvo una aceptación de 99.9%, seguido de C. aconitifolius y M. oleifera, con un 91.7 y 83.4% respectivamente, en la ganancia de peso, B. alicastrum gano 0.87 ± 0.14 kg, seguido de C. aconitifolius y M. oleifera, con 0.3 ± 0.17 y -0.4 ± 0.11 kg respectivamente, de igual forma B. alicastrum presentó la mejor respuesta para las variables, numero de abejas (1021.64), celdas con cría (499.69) y celdas con néctar-miel (515.22), superando a C. aconitifolius (791.33 abejas, 125.88 cría y 299.88 néctar-miel) y M. oleifera (805.08 abejas, 240.11 cría y 305.45 néctar-miel); se concluye que el jarabe adicionado con 25 g de B. alicastrum fue la mejor combinación y puede ser utilizado como una alternativa eficiente en la alimentación suplementaria de las abejas melíferas durante la época de escasez.
