This special midsummer issue highlights the research conducted by each of the College's departments with a summary article for each of the departments. The special events of the month were the activities of Farm and Home Week and the Alumni Day reunion weekend. Photographs for both events are included in this issue. During the Alumni Weekend, several classes held reunions, the new Zavitz Hall was dedicated to Dr. Zavitz, and Class of 1912 held its silver jubilee. Provided in this issue are the biographies for each of the alumni for the Class of 1912. Dr. J. B. Reynolds delivered an address to the alumni regarding the history of the O. A. C. and the Macdonald Institute. The Farm and Home Week events were a success. This mid-winter issue begins with a travel diary of a student's journey through the Scottish Trossachs. The highlight of the issue is the success of the Conversazione and its theme of India. A student contributed a humorous piece on traveling salesmen, while another student presents the debate over the seminar method of teaching at the college. This issue begins with an editorial on the many connections the Ontario Agricultural College has to the Royal Winter Fair. This summer issue begins with a photograph and history of the Massey Hall and Library. This issue begins with an article about the history of Red Fife Wheat from its origins in Galicia to its importation to Peterborough. Agricultural articles pertain to the dietary benefits of human consumption of rye and timothy grasses, and continued research in soil nutrient depletion. Other articles include the presentation of A. This issue begins with an editorial on compulsory attendance at lectures and the debate it has created amongst students. A student writes of his work with Western Canadian farmers affected by drought, soil reclamation, and the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Act. The agricultural articles in this issue pertain to the chemistry of soil testing in Ontario, South African agriculture, and the gas storage of pears. Students provides articles on the idea of establishing national state scholarships for students in Canada, the adventure of being employed on a cattle boat to England, and the success of the horticultural exhibit - the Winter Garden, at the Royal Winter Fair.
