Teaching Sustainability is a complex and demanding task requiring a multidisciplinary approach as is clearly demonstrated by the world focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (and specially goal 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable). The flipped classroom methodology facilitates the necessary discussion for embedding different points of view on the learning process. In this way students can effectively receive out-of-class and in-class opportunities to promote personal learning. However, structuring the huge amount of information handled is a very difficult tasks for students. In order to develop students’ learner autonomy or develop high-level thinking skills to achieve the learning competencies embedded on an Interdisciplinary Sustainable Architecture (ISA) curriculum, the use of mind-mapping learning strategy is known an effective knowledge construction tool for helping students’ organizational thinking. Beyond this fact, many previous studies have considered peer assessment as an effective learning strategy to provide students with a teacher’s perspective view to think and evaluate knowledge acquisition. This research presents relevant results on the use of mind-maps with an online peer assessment approach. This tool is embedded as a key element for structuring Sustainability Assessment knowledge within a course based on the flipped teaching methodology. Moreover, an experiment has been conducted to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed approach on students’ learning analytics such as time involvement and learning reflections. It is important that educators use an online peer assessment learning environment for learners and aim for the goals to help learners become more critical, independent, and autonomous in the development of any Sustainability curriculum.

Psychological capital (PsyCap) has been a topic of increasing interest in the last decade. However, there is a lack of validated instruments in Spanish to map PsyCap and its consequences for individuals’ well-being. Consequently, the goal of this study is to adapt the 12-item short version of the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ-12) to the Spanish context by analysing its internal consistency and reliability, factor solution and external validity. Results indicated that the PCQ-12 exhibited good Cronbach’s alpha (.87) and omega coefficient (.93) values in a sample from a vehicle inspection company (n = 798). As expected, results also revealed that a second-order factor structure provided the best fit. Moreover, PsyCap is associated with increased job engagement (? = .579; R2adjusted = .333), decreased job burnout (? = ?.409; R2adjusted = .166), and lower psychological distress (? = ?.349; R2adjusted = .121) (all p < .01), which provided additional support for using the PCQ-12 in the Spanish context. Implications for theory and practice are discussed. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

DRUG prescribing , *CLOZAPINE , *DRUG abuse - Abstract
Objective: Clozapine is the only approved strategy for treatment‐resistant schizophrenia, although it is highly underutilized. We aim to generate practical and actionable evidence‐based recommendations for the use of this drug considering prescription barriers. Method: Narrative review. Results: A consistent body of evidence supports the efficacy of clozapine reducing morbidity and mortality in schizophrenia. The main obstacles to its use are the lack of experience by prescribers and perceived treatment burden. Systematic screening of eligibility, utilization of available resources for consultation, developing a professional network with other stakeholders, as well as optimizing how clozapine is presented to patients is discussed. Furthermore, specific evidence‐based recommendations for initiation, maintenance, and safety monitoring with clozapine are provided. Conclusion: Clozapine prescription is one of the areas in psychiatry with the greatest mismatch between efficacy and utilization in clinical practice. Although multiple barriers to the use of clozapine exist, some of these may be overcome by updates of routine clinical practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: RECIPE study was designed to assess the impact of dietary supplementation with fermented milk enriched with plant sterols (FMPS) on the nutritional behavior, lifestyle and the joint therapeutic responsibility of hypercholesterolemic patients. Methods: Observational, prospective, multicenter, international study, was conducted to assess dietary habits and other lifestyle components in hypercholesterolemic patients in whom the general practitioner indicated FMPS supplementation. Nutritional, lifestyle and clinical data were collected at the initial visit and after a 4 months follow-up. The biochemical and anthropometric data were retrieved from medical records obtained at baseline and 4 months. Results: We report the results of Spain. Two hundred and one physicians who provided valid data of 1044 patients participated. The addition of FMPS was associated with improved overall nutritional index, being adequate initially in 28.2% of patients, and increasing up to 75.2% at the end of the study (P< 001). This nutritional change was associated with an improvement in the lipid profile and anthropometric data. Patients more adherent to therapy generally achieved a better result in all parameters compared to non-compliant ones. Conclusions: The addition of FMPS to a diet designed to reduce the LDL enhances the patient's attitude regarding changes in lifestyle, leading to better overall control of dyslipidemia and anthropometric improvement. © 2012 Elsevier España, S.L. and SEA.

The multiplicity of inclusive photons has been measured on an event-by-event basis for 158 AGeV Pb induced reactions on Ni, Nb, and Pb targets. The systematics of the pseudorapidity densities at midrapidity (rho_max) and the width of the pseudorapidity distributions have been studied for varying centralities for these collisions. A power law fit to the photon yield as a function of the number of participating nucleons gives a value of 1.13+-0.03 for the exponent. The mean transverse momentum, , of photons determined from the ratio of the measured electromagnetic transverse energy and photon multiplicity, remains almost constant with increasing rho_max. Results are compared with model predictions., Comment: 16 pages including 4 figures

Measurements of direct photon production in p + Pb and p + C collisions at root(NN)-N-s = 17.4 GeV are presented. Upper limits on the direct photon yield as a function of p(T) are derived and compared to the results for Pb + Pb collisions at root(NN)-N-s = 17.3 GeV. The production of the eta meson, which is an important input to the direct photon signal extraction, has been determined in the eta -> 2 gamma channel for p + C collisions at root(NN)-N-s = 17.4 GeV. This study aims to address possible gender differences on the prevalence rate of burnout and the perception of stressors involved in its development. A cross-sectional survey study was conducted, in which 578 teachers from different teaching levels in public schools around Andalusia completed the Teachers’ Burnout Questionnaire-Revised (CBP-R; Moreno-Jiménez et al., 2000) and some socio-demographic questions. Results revealed that differences on the prevalence rate of burnout depended to great extent on the criterion used for labeling a person as burned out. In addition, results showed that men perceived higher levels of depersonalization and lack of professional accomplishment than women. Furthermore, gender explained differences on the perception of several stressors considered as antecedents of burnout in teaching. These findings have important practical implications for measuring burnout and for developing interventions directed to its prevention at work.

This paper addresses the effectiveness of social skills training for the acquisition and improvement of communication skills required in the implementation and development of corporate social responsibility strategies in a SME (Small and Medium Enterprise). A quasi-experimental pre-post design was used, in which 56 senior and middle managers of such enterprise were trained (experimental group), while the comparison group was composed by 28 workers in the same job position at another company in the same productive sector and similar demographic composition. Results showed that scores of trained participants in both adoption of the other-party perspective and empathetic interest scales were higher after than before training. Their scores after training were also higher than those obtained by the comparison group in both variables as well as on an empathy heteroevaluation measure based on semantic differential. Findings and its practical implications for implementing and developing social responsibility strategies are discussed.

MicroRNAs are molecular structures with post-transcriptional activity, involved in the gene expression regulation. Several studies have demonstrated the involvement of microRNAs in different physiological functions, as well as in the oncogenesis process. The expression of microRNAs may be altered in the tumors by either interaction with tumor suppressor genes or oncogenes. Discussion. A review of the medical literature on microRNA-21 has been conducted, showing the evidence between microRNA-21 and neoplastic disease, specially with colorectal cancer. Conclusion. The current status of microRNAs makes necessary to continue the investigation of the pathogenesis of cancer and microRNAs. The knowledge of the involvement of microRNAs in the pathophysiology of neoplastic disease, will allow to extend the supposed clinical applications of miR-21 not only to the determination of the prognosis of colorectal cancer, but also for the differential diagnosis of processes of colonic mucosae

NUCLEUS-NUCLEUS COLLISIONS ,158-CENTER-DOT-A GEV ,COLLABORATION ,PERSPECTIVE ,QUARK-GLUON PLASMA - Abstract
Neutral pion transverse momentum spectra were measured in p+C and p+Pb collisions at root s(NN) = 17.4 GeV at midrapidity (2.3 less than or similar to eta(lab)less than or similar to 3.0) over the range 0.7 less than or similar to p(T)less than or similar to 3.5 GeV/c. The spectra are compared to pi(0) spectra measured in Pb+Pb collisions at root s(NN) = 17.3 GeV in the same experiment. For a wide range of Pb+Pb centralities (N(part)less than or similar to 300), the yield of pi(0)'s with p(T)greater than or similar to 2 GeV/c is larger than or consistent with the p+C or p+Pb yields scaled with the number of nucleon-nucleon collisions (N(coll)), while for central Pb+Pb collisions with N(part)greater than or similar to 350, the pi(0) yield is suppressed.

In this paper, a cutaneous alternariosis is described. This is an estrange opportunist infection with less than 100 cases. The patient was not VIH although inmunocompromised due to several factors: Malabsorption Syndrome, megaloblastic anemia secondary to gastrectomy and distal pancreatomy with gastrodigiunostomia due to gastric adenocarcinoma four years ago; splenectomied in the same operation, long treatment with hydantoin, and corticosteroids. The patient was managed in the internal medicine unit due to a problematic respiratory infection with cardiac rhythm disorder and progressive debility in lower limbs, together with cutaneous lesions in which "alternaria sp" was isolated by culture. After beginning treatment with oral itraconazole, his evolution was excellent. The main interest consists in the rareness and the original presentation of the cutaneous alternariosis in this case.
