The article discusses high definition (HD) imaging of giant omphalocele that is ventral abdominal wall defect resulting from failure of lateral ectomesodermal folds joining midline of abdomen. Topics discussed include case reporting fetal giant omphalocele with herniated sac found containing multiple small bowel loops and liver; amniocentesis performed karyotype and microarray result found normal; and examination by ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed abdominal wall defect.
