Orientadores: Wagner de Melo Romão, Ana Claudia Chaves Teixeira Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas Resumo: Esta tese analisa a trajetória do Movimento Nacional dos Catadores de Materiais Recicláveis (MNCR) no Brasil no período de 2001 a 2016. O MNCR emerge como ator político de influência nacional no mesmo momento em que se inicia um processo de incorporação das demandas do segmento na agenda do governo federal com a chegada do Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) ao poder central, em 2003. Levando em conta a emergência desse novo ator, o objetivo desta tese é examinar a experiência organizativa de um movimento social cujo desenvolvimento ocorreu próximo ao Estado durante o período de governo conhecido como lulismo. De uma perspectiva processual, a abordagem combina a reconstrução histórica do MNCR – desde sua gênese (1980-2001) até o fim do ciclo petista na presidência da República (2016) – com a análise dos efeitos que a atuação junto ao Estado teve sobre o próprio movimento. Por meio da pesquisa empírica e do debate com a literatura especializada, a tese mostra que a proximidade dos catadores com os governos petistas deu origem e possibilitou o que neste trabalho é designado como "agenda combinada". Esta agenda, por sua vez, ao mesmo tempo que produziu políticas públicas centradas no público catador, foi responsável por fortalecer o movimento e por provocar seu redimensionamento organizacional. Assim, ao conectar as leituras sobre a experiência do PT no governo federal com o campo de estudos dos movimentos sociais, busca-se contribuir com as análises das relações entre os movimentos populares e o Estado, explicando de que maneira a agenda combinada foi construída e como ela impactou no movimento dos catadores Abstract: This thesis analyzes the trajectory of the National Movement of Recyclable Material Collectors (MNCR) in Brazil from 2001 to 2016. The MNCR emerges as a political actor with national influence at the same time that a process of incorporation of the segment's demands in the federal government agenda begins with the arrival of the Workers' Party (PT) to central power, in 2003. Taking into account the emergence of this new actor, the main objective of this thesis is to examine the organizational experience of a social movement whose development took place close to the State during the period known as Lulismo. From a procedural perspective, that approach combines the historical reconstruction of the MNCR –starting from its genesis (1980-2001) until the end of the PT cycle in the presidency of the Republic (2016) – and the analysis of the effects that such involvement with the State had on the movement itself. By way of empirical research and discussion with the specialized literature, the analysis shows that the proximity of the MNCR to PT's governments gave rise to and made possible what here is designated "combined agenda". The combined agenda not only produced public policies centered on the waste pickers, but also was responsible for strengthening the movement and causing its organizational resizing. [Extract]. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the greatest global threats to human health. It is estimated that by 2050, AMR will lead to approximately 10 million annual deaths worldwide. Considering the impact of AMR on reproductive capacity and food production, in addition to its direct effect on infected people, the world's population could drop by between 11 and 444 million inhabitants by 2050 if AMR control is not achieved. As migrations and shared economies lead to the transmission of resistant bacteria across borders, the impacts of AMR become regionally significant. In the United States, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus caused 10 600 deaths in 2017. In Latin American and Caribbean countries, information is available from studies conducted in hospitals and other health facilities on the prevalence of antimicrobial-resistant pathogens. In many hospitals in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia, for example, resistance to third-generation cephalosporins and fluoroquinolones in Escherichia coli isolates is reaching almost 60%. Moreover, the dynamics of colonization and infection of multidrug-resistant organisms (such as carbapenemaseproducing Klebsiella pneumoniae) are unique in endemic areas of Latin America, favoring spread and dissemination. O problema de pesquisa se configura “Como os professores de Artes lidam com a problemática da profissão no tocante aos desafios do ensino, a importância concedida a seu ofício, e a busca pelos seus ideais de ensino de arte? ”. Para tanto, o objetivo geral desta investigação é compreender quais são as realidades e as aspirações dos professores de Artes Visuais de Pelotas acerca do exercício de sua profissão. Para isso um grupo de professores do Ensino Fundamental do município de Pelotas - RS, foram convidados a participar da pesquisa através de entrevistas semiestruturadas, onde puderam falar sobre as suas vivências em seus contextos escolares e as suas percepções sobre a docência e seus desafios. Importantes pesquisadores da Educação e da Arte-Educação foram autores referenciais para esta dissertação. Tais como: Arroyo (2000), Morin (2015), Freire (2016), Nóvoa (2009), Tardif (2014), Shulman (2014), Dewey (2010), Duarte Júnior (2001), Iavelberg (2017), e Ferraz e Fusari (2010). Através da pesquisa, percebeu-se que a importância atribuída ao ensino da arte é compreendida por cada professora à sua maneira. Esta pode, portanto, se relacionar a um modo de expressão, de reflexão e de percepção sobre a realidade e a história da humanidade. Para as professoras entrevistadas, entre os desafios da docência em Arte, está a desvalorização salarial e subjetiva do professor que coloca em cheque o valor do seu ofício para a sociedade, condição que se agrava por se tratar da disciplina de Artes. Também são desafiadoras, a adaptação dos conhecimentos acadêmicos a instrução escolar, a adaptação do ensino de Arte aos tempos, normas e espaços da escola e a pouca diversidade de materiais para trabalhar as aulas. A intensificação da jornada de trabalho em várias escolas e o pouco preparo para a inclusão das pessoas com deficiência em sala de aula são algumas das dificuldades encontradas. As professoras, portanto, vivem os seus papéis integralmente na sua maneira de ser e de ensinar. Formam seus alunos e se formam docentes no decorrer do processo educativo, que lhes resulta em uma nova compreensão sobre o seu ofício, a sua identidade e o seu contexto. Seguem assim, na busca por melhores condições de ensino e valorização da Arte, da escola e da docência. The present dissertation has its origin in the need to reflect on some aspects of art teaching in the school. The research problem is set "How do Arts teachers deal with the problematics of the profession regarding the challenges of teaching, the importance given to their craft, and the pursuit of their art teaching ideals? ". Therefore, the general objective of this research is to understand what are the realities and aspirations of the Visual Arts teachers of Pelotas about the exercise of their profession. To this end, a group of Primary School teachers from the city of Pelotas, RS, were invited to participate in the research through semi-structured interviews, where they could talk about their experiences in their school contexts and their perceptions about teaching and its challenges. Important researchers in Education and Art Education were authors for this dissertation. Such as Arroyo (2000), Morin (2015), Freire (2016), Nóvoa (2009), Tardif (2014), Shulman (2014), Dewey (2010), Duarte Júnior (2001), Iavelberg Ferraz and Fusari (2010). Through research, it was realized that the importance attributed to the teaching of art is understood by each teacher in his own way. This can therefore be related to a way of expression, reflection and perception about the reality and history of humanity. For the teachers interviewed, among the challenges of teaching in Art is the salary and subjective devaluation of the teacher who puts in check the value of his craft for society, a condition that is aggravated by being the discipline of Arts. Also challenging are the adaptation of academic knowledge to school instruction, the adaptation of Art teaching to the times, norms and spaces of the school and the little diversity of materials to work the classes. The intensification of working hours in various schools and the lack of preparation for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the classroom are some of the difficulties encountered. The teachers, therefore, live their roles integrally in their way of being and of teaching. They train their students and train teachers in the course of the educational process, which results in a new understanding of their craft, their identity and context. Thus, in the search for better conditions of teaching and valorization of Art, school and teaching.

Com o objetivo de identificar os efeitos da munificência da indústria no desempenho da firma, foram utilizadas como unidades de análise firmas brasileiras de capital aberto, ativas no período 2010 a 2012, atuantes nos setores Industrial, Financeiro e de Bens de Consumo Cíclicos. Como resultados foram identificados como significativos o impacto da munificência da indústria e do subsetor de atuação no desempenho da firma, bem como da interação entre os dois níveis de análise, e do tamanho da firma, considerado como variável de controle.
