The present investigation seeks to analyze the evolution of the unemployment rate and the consumer price index in Paraguay during the period 2008 – 2018. That is why the fundamental purpose of this research is to visualize the causes and effects that generated the respective variations in these indicators. The approach used by the research was documentary from various official sources, such as: General Directorate for Statistics, Surveys and Census (DGEEG for its Spanish abbreviation) and Statistical Bulletins of the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP), among others, which served as base to realize proper calculations. Among the main results obtained it should be noted that the large variations that occur each year have a common factor, the climate, for being the Paraguay a country characterized by the predominance of the agriculture and livestock sectors. Finally, is highlighted, on the one hand, the importance of politics to encourage investment to reduce the breach between the preparation of the young people in terms of training and what the companies need; and on the other hand, the influence of the general level of prices in the determination of the inflationary process.

Purpose:RPGRIP1 encodes a ciliary protein expressed in the photoreceptor connecting cilium. Mutations in this gene cause ∼5% of Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) worldwide, but are also associated with cone–rod dystrophy (CRD) and retinitis pigmentosa (RP) phenotypes. Our purpose was to clinically characterize RPGRIP1 patients from our cohort, collect clinical data of additional RPGRIP1 patients reported previously in the literature, identify common clinical features, and seek genotype–phenotype correlations. Methods: Clinical data were collected from 16 patients of our cohort and 212 previously reported RPGRIP1 patients and included (when available) family history, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), refraction, comprehensive ocular examination, optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging, visual fields (VF), and full-field electroretinography (ffERG).Results: Out of 228 patients, the majority (197, 86%) were diagnosed with LCA, 18 (7%) with RP, and 13 (5%) with CRD. Age of onset was during early childhood (n = 133, average of 1.7 years). All patients but 6 had moderate hyperopia (n = 59, mean of 4.8D), and average BCVA was 0.06 Snellen (n = 124; only 10 patients had visual acuity [VA] > 0.10 Snellen). On funduscopy, narrowing of blood vessels was noted early in life. Most patients had mild bone spicule-like pigmentation starting in the midperiphery and later encroaching upon the posterior pole. OCT showed thinning of the outer nuclear layer (ONL), while cystoid changes and edema were relatively rare. VF were usually very constricted from early on. ffERG responses were non-detectable in the vast majority of cases. Most of the mutations are predicted to be null (363 alleles), and 93 alleles harbored missense mutations. Missense mutations were identified only in two regions: the RPGR-interacting domain and the C2 domains. Biallelic null mutations are mostly associated with a severe form of the disease, whereas biallelic missense mutations usually cause a milder disease (mostly CRD).Conclusion: Our results indicate that RPGRIP1 biallelic mutations usually cause severe retinal degeneration at an early age with a cone–rod pattern. However, most of the patients exhibit preservation of some (usually low) BCVA for a long period and can potentially benefit from gene therapy. Missense changes appear only in the conserved domains and are associated with a milder phenotype.

- Abstract
The objective of the study is to analyze the factors that determine the creation of economic value in Colombia's economic sectors. The research is developed under a quantitative methodological approach, under a correlational design. This scope of research seeks to measure the association between EVA and the factors that determine it. For this purpose, a total of 9037 companies distributed in nine Colombian economic sectors were analyzed. The results of the statistical tests (correlation and linear regression) reveal a low relationship between the creation of economic value added and the EVA determinants defined for the study. This allows us to conclude that there is a low linear association between the determinants of EVA and EVA, which shows that the value creation of companies towards their shareholders does not depend on a single element, on the contrary, it is the sum of the synergy that the companies have within themselves., El objetivo del estudio se centra en analizar los factoresque determinan la creación de valor económico enlos sectores económicos de Colombia.

- Abstract
The Altman Z-Score model is recognized in the literature as an indicator for measuring the probability of financial insolvency. While this model is widely used as a metric for predicting financial distress, there is no agreement on the factors that determine the behavior or outcome of the Z-Score. In this sense, the purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that determine the behavior of the Z-Score in Colombian companies. The research is developed under a quantitative methodological approach, with a correlational design. This scope of research seeks to measure the association between the Altman Z-Score and the financial indicators that determine its outcome; to this end, a total of 2,684 companies in the Colombian commercial sector that reported financial information on a systematic basis during the period 2016-2020 are analyzed. The results of the statistical tests carried out reveal that there is a direct relationship between the indicator measuring financial structure (equity/liabilities) and the Altman Z-Score. This leads to the conclusion that a company that seeks to capitalize profits and keep debt levels under control, from the point of view of Altman’s model, will be a company with financial stability and a low probability of financial insolvency.

- Abstract
Predicting the bankruptcy of a company has led to several investigations. The use of financial ratios has been proposed as an indicator to measure the stability of a business unit. Altman developed a Z-Score model, which used organization’s financial information to predict the probability of business failure 2-3 years in advance. The following work proposes the application of this model in Colombian companies to measure the probability of financial insolvency between the years 2016 and 2019. In order to fulfill the objective, the research was carried out under a quantitative approach. The results of the measurements show that the model can be applied as a predictive financial tool to measure the probability of financial insolvency of companies in Colombia. It can be concluded that Altman’s Z model can be applied to Colombian business structures to predict financial emergency situations one, two and three years in advance., A previsão da falência de uma empresa levou a várias investigações. - Abstract

- Abstract

Background: Previous studies have shown that children and adolescents with COVID-19 generally have mild disease. Children and adolescents with cancer, however, can have severe disease when infected with respiratory viruses. In this study, we aimed to understand the clinical course and outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infection in children and adolescents with cancer. Methods: We did a cohort study with data from 131 institutions in 45 countries. We created the Global Registry of COVID-19 in Childhood Cancer to capture de-identified data pertaining to laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections in children and adolescents (

PROBABILITY measures , *BUSINESS failures , *FINANCIAL ratios , *BANKRUPTCY , *MEASURING instruments - Abstract
Predicting the bankruptcy of a company has led to several investigations. The use of financial ratios has been proposed as an indicator to measure the stability of a business unit. Altman developed a Z-Score model, which used organization's financial information to predict the probability of business failure 2-3 years in advance. It can be concluded that Altman's Z model can be applied to Colombian business structures to predict financial emergency situations one, two and three years in advance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ABSTRACT The present investigation seeks to analyze the evolution of the unemployment rate and the consumer price index in Paraguay during the period 2008 - 2018.That is why the fundamental purpose of this research is to visualize the causes and effects that generated the respective variations in these indicators.
