Abstract

The quantitative evaluation of quotations in the Russian Wiktionary was performed using the developed Wiktionary parser. It was found that the number of quotations in the dictionary is growing fast (51.5 thousands in 2011, 62 thousands in 2012). These quotations were extracted and saved in the relational database of a machine-readable dictionary. For this database, tables related to the quotations were designed. A histogram of distribution of quotations of literary works written in different years was built. It was made an attempt to explain the characteristics of the histogram by associating it with the years of the most popular and cited (in the Russian Wiktionary) writers of the nineteenth century. It was found that more than one-third of all the quotations (the example sentences) contained in the Russian Wiktionary are taken by the editors of a Wiktionary entry from the Russian National Corpus., Comment: 12 pages, 3 tables, 5 figures, published in the journal (preprint)

Abstract

45 лет назад началась история Санкт-Петербургского института информатики и автоматизации Российской академии наук (СПИИРАН), когда Распоряжением Совета Министров СССР от 19 декабря 1977 года и Постановлением Президиума Академии наук СССР от 19 января 1978 года был организован Ленинградский научно-исследовательский вычислительный центр АН СССР (ЛНИВЦ), преобразованный в 1985 году по решению Президиума АН СССР в Ленинградский институт информатики и автоматизации АН СССР (ЛИИАН), затем в 1991 году в связи с возвращением городу его исторического имени Институт обрел актуальное и сегодня название СПИИРАН. К своему 45 летию Институт информатики (ЛНИВЦ, ЛИИАН, СПИИРАН), объединившись с пятью ведущими академическими организациями Северо-Запада России, в 2020 году стал Санкт-Петербургским Федеральным исследовательским центром Российской академии наук (СПб ФИЦ РАН). Визитной карточкой научного коллектива СПб ФИЦ РАН являются системные междисциплинарные исследования. Полученные учеными фундаментальные результаты в областях информатики, кибернетики, искусственного интеллекта, робототехники, безопасности, экологии, сельского хозяйства и инновационно-инвестиционного развития территорий нашли применение в формировании прикладных решений по цифровой трансформации агроэкологического производства, укреплению продовольственной, экологической и информационной безопасности граждан нашей страны.

Abstract

Интеграция методологического базиса нескольких разных наук при междисциплинарных исследованиях является характерной чертой новых механизмов решения современных прикладных задач. Формируемые теоретические основы аэролимнологии, как нового научного направления, рассматриваются с точки зрения вклада в нее трех ключевых наук: лимнологии, информатики и робототехники. Приведены классификации методов и способов лимнологических исследований, воздушных робототехнических средств, информационных технологий, перспективных для решения задач в области аэролимнологии. Задача научного направления аэролимнологии формулируется как изучение возможностей и ограничений комбинированных способов дистанционного сенсорного измерения, роботизированного пробоотбора и аналитического исследования параметров экосистем пресных водоемов для мониторинга и предсказания динамики их развития. Среди основных направлений аэролимнологических исследований выделены: построение ортофотопланов и фотограмметрических пространственных моделей рельефа дна и отдельных элементов донного ландшафта и прибрежной зоны разного масштаба; геолого-геофизическое картирование подводной части береговой зоны; изучение фитопланктона, в частности «цветения» воды, вызванного цианобактериями; исследование распределения и миграций крупных представителей гидрофауны; изучение температурных полей и процессов перераспределения водных масс. Обсуждаются ограничения, накладываемые на использование беспилотных летательных аппаратов (БпЛА) при пробоотборе и мониторинге прибрежных водных территорий, прежде всего погодно-климатические, временные, пространственные, технические. Преимущество использования беспилотных летательных аппаратов в аэролимнологии обосновывается увеличением скорости получения данных, возможностью подлета к труднодоступным и территориально удаленным объектам, снижением влияния человеческого фактора. Научная новизна представленного исследования состоит в попытке интеграции междисциплинарных знаний при использовании беспилотных летательных аппаратов и обработке полученных данных на основе технологий искусственного интеллекта при изучении лимнологических объектов и процессов. Отмечается важная роль геоинформационных систем и приводятся примеры карт типизации берегов и геоморфологии Ладожского озера, размещенные на сайте Центра коллективного пользования научным оборудованием «Северо-Западный центр мониторинга и прогнозирования развития территорий» СПБ ФИЦ РАН. Рассматриваются основные этапы методологии проведения аэролимнологических исследований с применением междисциплинарных подходов на основе лимнологии, информатики и робототехнических средств, функционирующих в разных средах.

Abstract

The Large Area Picosecond PhotoDetector (LAPPD) Collaboration was formed in 2009 to develop large-area photodetectors capable of time resolutions measured in pico-seconds, with accompanying sub-millimeter spatial resolution. During the next three and one-half years the Collaboration developed the LAPPD design of 20 x 20 cm modules with gains greater than $10^7$ and non-uniformity less than $15\%$, time resolution less than 50 psec for single photons and spatial resolution of 700~microns in both lateral dimensions. We describe the R\&D performed to develop large-area micro-channel plate glass substrates, resistive and secondary-emitting coatings, large-area bialkali photocathodes, and RF-capable hermetic packaging. In addition, the Collaboration developed the necessary electronics for large systems capable of precise timing, built up from a custom low-power 15-GigaSample/sec waveform sampling 6-channel integrated circuit and supported by a two-level modular data acquisition system based on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays for local control, data-sparcification, and triggering. We discuss the formation, organization, and technical successes and short-comings of the Collaboration. The Collaboration ended in December 2012 with a transition from R\&D to commercialization.

Abstract

First results of a soft photon yield in nucleus-nuclear interactions at 3.5 GeV per nucleon are presented. These photons have been registered at Nuclotron (LHEP, JINR) by an electromagnetic calorimeter built in the SVD Collaboration. Abstract

The digital transformation of agricultural technological processes is substantiated to be relevant in the context of the exacerbating global problems of food security, the agricultural business stagnation in the regions of the northern Non-Black Earth Region, as well as the ESG transformation of the economy.Research purpose To develop control algorithms for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) based on numerical methods of machine learning to ensure the monitoring of the crops state and the improving of the production process planning and operational management.Materials and methods The following methodology was used: the original methods of machine learning, knowledge engineering and computer modeling for organizational and technological processes of technical objects’ life cycle in industry and products’ life cycle in the national economy, as well as mathematical and algorithmic models, methods and prototypes of proactive automation tools for information, physical and energy interaction of heterogeneous robotic and cyber-physical complexes.Results and discussion Artificial intelligence systems were created for the photogrammetric processing of visible spectrum images and those taken with multispectral video cameras with the construction of orthophotomaps, digital elevation models. Machine learning numerical methods were applied. Possible ways of formulating recommendations for the land revegetation and amelioration were demonstrated. Algorithmic software and hardware have been developed for the automation of vertical farms, closed cycle fish farming plants. The authors carried out wireless registration of measured and calculated parameters received from the distributed sensors, conducted their analysis based on big data technologies and proactive control of cyber-physical devices responsible for the functioning of the aqua and phytocultures life support systems. The authors provided the examples of produced UAVs and attachments designed for processing the agricultural land, as well as examples of automation modules for vertical farms that provide proactive autonomous control.Conclusions It was determined that the developed software and hardware ensured a 6-percent increase in the residual charge of the UAV battery after the flight. Image analysis using a multispectral camera improved the accuracy of identifying the plant areas with phytopathologies up to 99 percent.
