Objective: Our objective was to evaluate the effect of glucocorticoid regimens on renal response, infections, and mortality among patients with lupus nephritis (LN). Methods: We performed a systematic review and meta‐analysis of the control arms of randomized clinical trials (RCTs). We included RCTs of biopsy‐proven LN that used a protocolized regimen of glucocorticoids in combination with mycophenolic acid analogs or cyclophosphamide and reported the outcomes of complete response (CR), serious infections, and death. The starting dosage of glucocorticoids, tapering method, and administration of glucocorticoid pulses were abstracted. Meta‐analysis of proportions, meta‐regression, and subgroup meta‐analysis were performed at 6 and 12 months for all outcomes. Results: Fifty RCT arms (3,231 patients with LN) were included. The predicted rates of CR, serious infections, and death when starting on oral prednisone at 25 mg/day without pulses were 19.5% (95% confidence interval [CI] 7.3–31.5), 3.2% (95% CI 2.4–4.0), and 0.2% (95% CI 0.0–0.4), respectively. Starting on prednisone at 60 mg/day (without pulses) increased the rates to 34.6% (95% CI 16.9–52.3), 12.1% (95% CI 9.3–14.9), and 2.7% (95% CI 0.0–5.3), respectively. Adding glucocorticoid pulses increased the rates of CR and death but not serious infections. We observed a dose–response gradient between the initial glucocorticoid dosage and all the outcomes at six months after accounting for the administration of glucocorticoid pulses, underlying immunosuppressant, and baseline proteinuria. Conclusion: A higher exposure to glucocorticoids during the initial therapy of LN was associated with better renal outcomes at the cost of increased infections and death. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: The longitudinal responses towards multiple doses of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines in patientswith systemic autoimmune diseases remain incompletely understood. While observational studies suggested the safety of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines in rheumatic disease patients, laboratory evidence is lacking. Methods: Here we evaluated seroreactivity, clinical manifestions, and multiple disease biomarkers after 2 or 3 doses of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines in a cohort of patients with rheumatic diseases. Results: Most patients generated high SARS-CoV-2 spike-specific neutralizing antibodies comparable to those in healthy controls after 2 doses of mRNA vaccines. The antibody level declined over time but recovered after the third dose of the vaccine. Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or psoriatic arthritis (PsA) remained without significant flares post-vaccination. The changes in anti-dsDNA antibody concentration and expression of type I interferon (IFN) signature genes were highly variable but did not show consistent or significant increases. Frequency of double negative 2 (DN2) B cells remained largely stable. Discussion: Our data provide experimental evidences indicating the efficacy and safety of repeated COVID-19 mRNA vaccination in rheumatic disease patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to increase the storage capacity of the East Spent Fuel Pool at the Cofrentes NPP, located in Valencia province, Spain, the existing storage stainless steel racks were replaced by a new design of compact borated stainless steel racks allowing a 65% increase in fuel storing capacity. Calculation of the activation of the used racks was successfully performed with the use of MCNP4B code. Additionally the dose rate at contact with a row of racks in standing position and behind a wall of shielding material has been calculated using MCNP4B code as well. These results allowed a preliminary definition of the burnker required for the storage of racks. Recently the activity in the racks has been recalculated with SEACAB system which combines the mesh tally of MCNP codes with the activation code ACAB, applying the rigorous two-step method (R2S) developed at home, benchmarked with FNG irradiation experiments and usually applied in fusion calculations for ITER project.

International audience; La flore adventice est nuisible pour la production agricole mais est aussi l’un des piliers de la biodiversité dans les paysages agricoles.La réduction de l'usage d'herbicides demandée par le plan ECOPHYTO, implique que la gestion des adventices dorénavant combinel'ensemble des leviers du système de culture. L'objectif du projet CoSAC était de concevoir, d’évaluer et de promouvoir des systèmesde culture conciliant réduction d'usage des herbicides, maintien de la production agricole et préservation de la biodiversité. Pourcela, il était nécessaire de : (1) mieux comprendre et prédire le fonctionnement de l'agroécosystème, notamment les mécanismesbiophysiques régissant la dynamique des communautés adventices, (2) évaluer l'effet des techniques culturales innovantes sur cetteflore, (3) développer des modèles et outils d'aide à la décision pour la conception de systèmes et leur évaluation multicritère afin dede les utiliser pour (4) proposer des stratégies durables de gestion adaptées aux contraintes (5) intégrer conseillers et agriculteurstout au long du projet pour s'assurer que les outils et innovations développés soient effectivement opérationnels.Au champ, des essais ont permis de quantifier et d'analyser les effets et la robustesse de techniques et/ou combinaisons detechniques innovantes dans différents contextes pédoclimatiques et de flores adventices. En parcelles jardinées et en serre, ils ontpermis d'analyser les processus biophysiques sous‐jacents. En effet, connaître les causes d'un effet est essentiel pour savoir dansquelles conditions et avec quelle ampleur les innovations techniques vont être efficaces. Des connaissances ont ainsi été produitespour améliorer le modèle FLORSYS qui simule la démographie, la croissance et la reproduction des adventices et des couverts cultivés.FLORSYS a servi de champ virtuel pour évaluer l'impact des adventices sur la production agricole et sur la biodiversité dans dessystèmes innovants co‐conçus. FLORSYS a aussi été adapté en un nouvel outil d'aide à la conception de systèmes de culture(DECIFLORSYS). Afin de faciliter la valorisation et le transfert des résultats, des conseillers et agriculteurs ont été impliqués à toutes lesétapes du développement des outils, de la conception et de l’évaluation des systèmes innovants, via des formations, enquêtes etateliers participatifs.AbstractWeed floras are harmful for crop production but essential for biodiversity in agricultural landscapes. The reduction in herbicide userequired by the ECOPHYTO plan implies that weed management must now rely on a judicious combination of all components of thecropping system. The objective of the CoSAC project was to design, evaluate and promote cropping systems that reconcile reducedherbicide use, crop production and biodiversity conservation. To this end, we needed to (1) better understand and predict thefunctioning of the agroecosystem, particularly the biophysical mechanisms driving weed dynamics, (2) evaluate the effects ofinnovative cropping techniques on the weed flora, (3) develop models and decision support systems for cropping system design andmulticriteria evaluation, (4) use these tools to design sustainable weed management strategies adapted for farmers' constraints, (5)integrate advisors and farmers throughout the project to ensure that the newly developed tools and innovations are operational.Field trials allowed quantifying and analysing effects and robustness of innovative cropping techniques and their combinations fordifferent pedoclimates and weed floras. Greenhouse and garden‐plot experiments allowed analysing the underlying biophysicalprocesses. Knowing the causes of effects is essential to determine in which conditions innovative practices will be efficient and howmuch. This knowledge was also used to improve the FLORSYS model which simulates the demography, growth and reproduction ofweed floras and crop canopies. FLORSYS was used as a virtual experimental field to evaluate weed impacts on crop production andbiodiversity in innovative cropping systems co‐designed with farmers. FLORSYS was also transformed into a novel tool to supportcropping‐system design (DECIFLORSYS). In order to promote and transfer the project results, advisors and farmers were implicatedduring model development as well as cropping‐system design and evaluation, via training sessions, surveys and participatoryworkshops with farmers.

International audience; Each cropping practice affects weed dynamics depending on pedoclimate or time-step. Weed management must be reasoned at the cropping-system scale and multiperformant cropping-system design is difficult. Decision Support Systems (DSS) for farmers and crop advisors are essential, and to make these tools operational and utilized in practice, end users must be involved when designing the tools. Our aim was to test a DSS prototype with end users to identify its strengths and weaknesses. The prototype consisted of (1) a »design guide«, i.e. a decision tree visually linking combinations of cropping practices to performances in terms of weed harmfulness for crop production and weedborne biodiversity, (2) a »fast prediction tool«, i.e. a random forest predicting these performances from cropping-practice combinations proposed by users. Both were built from a cropping-system database simulated with the mechanistic weed dynamics model FLORSYS. Workshops were conducted in 2017 with five advisors from Champagne-Ardenne (France). The first workshop aimed to design innovative cropping systems adapted to different regional production situations and to choose weed-impact indicators to evaluate the systems. In-between workshops, the systems were simulated with FLORSYS to estimate indicators. In the second workshop, the simulation results and the design guide were presented, testing different output formats. After the workshops, the prediction tool was tested by the advisors via an online R-shiny application. Feedbacks on the application’s use were collected via an online questionnaire. Several improvements were suggested, especially for synthetically describing a cropping system. The DSS promoted discussions among advisors, especially when confronted with surprising results (e.g., alfalfa did not increase field infestation). The workshop format was adapted to improve the DSS and to demonstrate its usefulness. Funding: INRA (EA and MIA divisions), the French project CoSAC (ANR-14-CE18-0007) and the Burgundy Region. Ce numéro comprend les articles correspondant aux présentations du Colloque Casdar 2018.; This study, based on 3 axes, fits in with the "National Plan of Action Messicoles" for the conservationand protection of threatened or vulnerable flora in cereals (« messicoles »). An inventory and survey ofagricultural practices was deployed on 159 plots in three climatic regions, soils and contrasting farmingsystems for 2 years. The results concerning the wealth in messicoles are presented in connection withcultural practices. To date it isn’t possible to prioritize the practices most favourable to their presence. Ina second part, we wanted to identify and evaluate the functional role and services rendered by thoseplants in agricultural systems: there is a link between floristic diversity and trophic resources, but therole of messicoles sensus stricto will be very difficult to extract from the global role of natural flora.Finally, an ethological survey sets the basis for the understanding and appropriation of the stake of themessicoles by the actors of agricultural farming and prescribers; Cette étude, construite selon 3 axes, s’inscrit dans le cadre des recommandations du « Plan Nationald’Action messicoles » pour la conservation et la protection des plantes messicoles fragiles. Un dispositifd'inventaires et d’enquêtes sur les pratiques agricoles a été déployé pendant 2 ans sur 159 parcellesdans trois régions au climat, aux sols et systèmes d’exploitations contrastés. Les résultats concernant larichesse en messicoles sont présentés en liaison avec des pratiques culturales. Ils ne permettent pasde hiérarchiser les pratiques les plus favorables à leur présence. Dans un deuxième volet noussouhaitions identifier et évaluer le rôle fonctionnel et les services rendus par les messicoles dans lessystèmes agricoles : il existe un lien entre diversité floristique et ressources trophiques mais le rôle desmessicoles sensu stricto sera très difficile à extraire du rôle global de la flore naturelle. Enfin, uneenquête éthologique fixe les bases de la compréhension et de l’appropriation de l’enjeu des messicolespar les acteurs du milieu agricole : agriculteurs et prescripteurs.

Giant ragweed (Ambrosia trifida L.) is an annual Asteraceae originating from North America introduced in France in the early twentieth century. Originally described in ruderal habitats, Ambrosia trifida has recently been reported in cultivated plots in South of France (Midi‑Pyrénées area). As this species is a major invasive weed in North America, its native area, the question arises about the future development of the species in France. Can we assume a low capacity of the plant to adapt to landcapes in France with a low risk of naturalization or should we consider a program to eradicate this species before it colonizes natural environments where its management would be more complex ? Acquired data indicated that giant ragweed eradication remains a realistic medium‑term objective., L’ambroisie trifide (Ambrosia trifida L.) est une Asteraceae annuelle d’origine nord‑américaine introduite en France au début du XXe siècle. Décrite au départ comme une plante des milieux rudéraux, Ambrosia trifida a été récemment signalée dans des parcelles cultivées en région Midi‑Pyrénées. Cette espèce étant une mauvaise herbe majeure très envahissante dans sa zone native en Amérique du Nord, la question se pose de son devenir en France. Peut‑on parier sur une capacité réduite de la plante à s’adapter aux habitats en France avec un faible risque de naturalisation ? Ou doit‑on envisager un programme d’éradication de cette espèce avant qu’elle ne colonise des milieux naturels où sa gestion serait plus complexe ? Background and purpose: Spain has been one of the countries heavily stricken by COVID-19. But this epidemic has not affected all regions equally. We analyzed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on hospital stroke admissions and in-hospital mortality in tertiary referral hospitals from North-West Spain. Methods: Spanish multicenter retrospective observational study based on data from tertiary hospitals of the NORDICTUS network. We recorded the number of patients admitted for ischemic stroke between 30 December 2019 and 3 May 2020, the number of IVT and EVT procedures, and in-hospital mortality. Results: In the study period, 2737 patients were admitted with ischemic stroke. There was a decrease in the weekly mean admitted patients during the pandemic (124 vs. 173, p<0.001). In-hospital mortality of stroke patients increased significantly (9.9% vs. 6.5%, p = 0.003), but there were no differences in the proportion of IVT (17.3% vs. 16.1%, p = 0.405) or EVT (22% vs. 23%, p = 0.504). Conclusion: We found a decrease in the number of ischemic stroke admissions and an increase in in-hospital mortality during the COVID-19 epidemic in this large study from North-West Spain. There were regional changes within the network, not fully explained by the severity of the pandemic in different regions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Prod 2017-296a EA GESTAD INRA AGROSUP Ce livret présente une partie des travaux présentés lors de la journée d’animation conjointe des RMTs FlorAd et AgroforesterieS avec le soutien de la FRB.; National audience; Les RMTs FlorAd et AgroforesterieS a organisé une journée thématique sur l’intérêt de l’approche fonctionnelle pour la gestion des plantes adventices et/ou de la végétation des linéaires non cultivés (bords de champs, bandes enherbées) en grandes cultures, vignes et dans les systèmes agroforestiers. La journée a eu pour objectif de faire découvrir l’approche fonctionnelle et ses potentialités, et de réfléchir à la manière dont le développement pourrait s’emparer de cette approche en collaboration avec la recherche. Édito par Sabrina Gaba (Inra) Le 11 décembre 2017 s’est déroulée à l’ACTA une journée d’animation sur l’utilisation de l’approche fonctionnelle pour la gestion de la flore adventice en grande culture et en vigne et la flore des linéaires non cultivés. Pourquoi organiser un tel évènement en plein débat autour de la reconduction de l’herbicide devenu le plus célèbre du monde « le glyphosate » ? Il est tout d’abord important de rappeler ce que sont les flores adventice et des linéaires. Ces flores des milieux cultivés sont constituées d’espèces végétales sauvages (plus de 1400 espèces en France) qui se développent dans les champs de blé, entre les rangs de vigne ou au pied et entre les arbres dans les systèmes en agroforesterie. Parmi les espèces les plus emblématiques, on citera le coquelicot, le bleuet, le pissenlit ou encore le chardon. Alors que pour certains, l’énoncé de ces espèces évoque des souvenirs de « soirs bleus d’été », pour d’autres ces espèces représentent un risque important. En effet, ces plantes ont besoin de ressources telles que l’azote ou la lumière pour croître et produire des graines. Or dans une parcelle agricole ou viticole, ces ressources sont également nécessaires pour la croissance de la culture ou de la vigne. Une réduction de la quantité de ressources pour les plantes de culture signifie une perte de production. C’est pourquoi les agriculteurs et les viticulteurs ont mis en place des stratégies de gestion leur permettant de contrôler l’abondance de ces flores dans leurs parcelles. Ces stratégies de gestion, dont la plus connue est l’application d’herbicides, sont très efficaces, tellement efficaces que de nombreuses espèces sont désormais rares, alors que d’autres ont développé des stratégies pour tolérer ces traitements rendant leur gestion difficile. Pourquoi l’approche fonctionnelle permettrait de répondre aux enjeux associés à la gestion de ces flores ? Avant de répondre à cette question, il est nécessaire de rappeler les enjeux socio-économiques et environnementaux associés à la gestion de la flore adventice. Ces enjeux peuvent paraître triviaux même si on peut déjà entrevoir un possible antagonisme bien connu entre production de bien alimentaire et conservation de la biodiversité: réduire ces flores permet de garantir des productions mais peut engendrer un déclin de la biodiversité végétale. Le système est cependant plus complexe ! En effet, ces flores n’interagissent pas seulement avec les plantes de culture. Elles fournissent des ressources alimentaires sous forme de graines pour de nombreux insectes et oiseaux granivores, de nectar et de pollen pour les insectes pollinisateurs et de la biomasse végétale pour des insectes herbivores. Réduire ces flores, engendre par conséquent une réduction de l’ensemble des organismes qui en dépendent. Vous allez me dire qu’il s’agit toujours d’un problème de conservation. Oui et non ! Prenons un exemple. L’abeille domestique est un des organismes dont la persistance dépend à un moment des espèces adventices, et abeille domestique = miel mais pas seulement, la production de nombreuses cultures comme le colza ou le tournesol dépend de l’abeille domestique pour la pollinisation. Ainsi réduire ces flores sauvages est nécessaire pour la production agricole mais pourrait également entraîner une réduction de la production agricole et apicole ! La gestion de ces flores est donc un casse-tête ! L’approche fonctionnelle comme vous de le découvrirez dans ce livret est une des clés pour trouver une ou des solutions à ce casse-tête. En effet, en s’intéressant aux caractéristiques des espèces (par exemple, leur taille ou leur teneur en nectar), cette approche permet d’appréhender les diverses facettes de ces flores sauvages afin d’acquérir des connaissances sur (i) les liens entre ces flores et les pratiques agricoles, (ii) sur les effets de ces flores sur la production agricole (et viticole) et (iii) sur les rôles de cette flore pour le maintien des autres organismes des milieux agricoles. Ce livret synthétise les travaux de recherche présentés lors de la journée d’animation du 11 décembre 2017 organisée conjointement par les Réseaux Mixtes Technologiques FlorAd et AgroforesterieS et la Fondation pour la Recherche sur la Biodiversité (FRB). Cette journée avait pour objectif de présenter un panorama des applications de l’approche fonctionnelle en grandes cultures, en vignes et dans les systèmes en agroforesterie, c’est également l’objectif de ce livret.

The CoSAC project associates partners from research and development in order to (1) quantify and understand, with experiments, the effects of novel agricultural practices on weeds and the functioning of the agroecosystem, (2) design tools that predict the effect of agricultural techniques et pedoclimate on weed flora, (3) use these tools to design sustainable weed management strategies and to evaluate their performances in contexts of changing agricultural practices, climate, biodiversity, (4) facilitate the adoption of these novel strategies by farmers. We will present the first results of the project, e.g. the effect on weeds of cover crops during fallow or associated to a cash crop, the ex ante evaluation of changes in agricultural practices in terms of weed impact on crop production and biodiversity, or the design of multiperformant agricultural systems with the FLORSYS model., Le projet CoSAC regroupe des partenaires de la recherche et du développement afin de (1) quantifier et comprendre, à l'aide d'expérimentations, les effets de pratiques agricoles innovantes sur les adventices et le fonctionnement de l'agroécosystème, (2) développer des outils prédisant les effets des pratiques agricoles et du pédoclimat sur la flore adventice, (3) utiliser ces outils pour concevoir des stratégies de gestion durable des adventices et d'évaluer leurs performances dans différents contextes de changements (pratiques agricoles, climat, biodiversité), (4) permettre l'adoption de ces stratégies innovantes par les agriculteurs. Il est présenté les premiers résultats du projet, notamment l'effet des cultures de couverture, en interculture ou en association avec une culture « de rente », sur les adventices, ainsi que l'évaluation ex ante de changements de pratiques agricoles en termes d'impact de la flore adventice sur la production agricole et la biodiversité, ou la conception de systèmes agricoles multiperformants à l'aide du modèle FLORSYS.

Integrated weed management consists in using several weed management techniques in a long-term approach. The vast number of techniques precludes cropping systems from being easily conceived and climatic interactions render the systems difficult to pursue. Farmers and farm advisors need decision support systems (DSS) to develop weed management strategies adapted to multicriteria/multiobjectives of weed management, to the economic, social and environmental stakes and to the constraints of farmers. Such a DSS is developed from the mechanistic weed dynamic model FLORSYS. This model is a “virtual field” allowing the evaluation of the performance of agricultural systems over a large range of agricultural and pedoclimatic situations. Different stakeholders are associated with the tool development in order to adapt the prototypes to the farmers' objectives and constraints, via surveys, meetings and workshops with the future users., La gestion intégrée des adventices consiste à combiner de nombreuses pratiques agricoles en anticipant leurs effets à long terme. La multitude de combinaisons possibles rend les systèmes de culture difficiles à concevoir et l’interaction avec le climat rend les sytèmes difficiles à mettre en oeuvre. Les agriculteurs et conseillers agricoles ont donc besoin d’outils d’aide à la décision leur permettant de développer des stratégies adaptées à l'aspect multicritères/multiobjectifs de la gestion de la flore adventice, aux enjeux économiques, sociaux et environnementaux et aux moyens disponibles et objectifs particuliers de chaque agriculteur. Un tel outil d’aide à la décision est développé à partir du modèle mécaniste de dynamique de la flore adventice FLORSYS. Ce modèle simule une "parcelle virtuelle" et permet l’évaluation des performances de systèmes de culture sur une large gamme de situations agricoles et pédoclimatiques. Différents acteurs sont associés au développement de l’outil afin d’adapter les prototypes aux objectifs et contraintes des agriculteurs, via des enquêtes, des rencontres et des ateliers avec les futurs utilisateurs.

A consequence of the agricultureal intensification of the second part of the XXth century is the depletion of some species linked to arable fields. These species called “segetal” are considered since 2012 under a National Action Plant (PNA). A survey has been conducted to explore the relationships between these segetal weeds and agricultural practices. It involved 159 farm plots for two years in three regions having contrasted climates, soils and farming systems. Data of species richness are presented in relation to agricultural practices. They cannot allow hierarchical ranking of the most favourable practices, whatever the region, but rather the presence of segetal weeds is associated with combination of several practices., L’intensification des pratiques agricoles au cours de la 2ème moitié du XXème siècle a eu pour conséquence la raréfaction d’un certain nombre d’espèces liées au milieu agricole. Ces espèces dites « messicoles » font l’objet depuis 2012 d’un Plan National d’Action (PNA). Afin d’explorer les relations entre ce groupe d'espèces adventices et les pratiques agricoles, un dispositif d'inventaire des espèces adventices et d’enquête sur les pratiques agricoles a été développé sur 159 parcelles dans trois régions au climat, aux sols et systèmes d’exploitations contrastés pendant deux ans. Les résultats concernant la richesse en messicoles sont présentés en liaison avec des pratiques culturales. Ils ne permettent pas de hiérarchiser les pratiques les plus favorables à leur présence, quelle que soit la région : celle-ci semblerait plutôt liée à la combinaison de plusieurs pratiques.

Afin de caractériser la pression des communautés adventices dans les parcelles agricoles des réseaux DEPHY, le groupe de travail « adventices » du projet CASIMIR, avec la collaboration d’experts de la profession et des utilisateurs potentiels, propose deux protocoles à destination de la filière Grande Culture. Les objectifs de ces protocoles sont de : (i) évaluer à court terme l’effet des pratiques agricoles (à l’échelle de l’itinéraire technique) et leurs performances en matière de gestion des communautés adventices, (ii) évaluer à long terme l’effet du système de culture sur l’évolution des communautés adventices. Le protocole CASIMIR DEPHYFERME : l’observation est réalisée sur une station de référence de 2000m², dans laquelle l’observateur circule en effectuant un W. Il identifie les adventices, leur attribue une note visuelle de densité via l’utilisation de l’échelle « Barralis » modifiée et renseigne le stade phénologique dominant de chaque espèce adventice. Ce protocole simple et peu chronophage est à destination du réseau DEPHY FERME. Le protocole CASIMIR DEPHYEXPE : l’observation est réalisée sur huit stations de 16m², ainsi que sur un quadrat positionné à l’intérieur de chacune des stations. Après avoir identifié les espèces adventices, dans la station, l’observateur note la densité avec l’échelle « Barralis » modifiée. Puis dans le quadrat, il complète son observation en réalisant un comptage du nombre d’individus par espèce. Lors de chaque notation le stade phénologique dominant est renseigné. Enfin, un relevé de biomasse est effectué pour évaluer l’importance de la compétition des adventices sur la culture. Ce protocole plus précis et plus long à mettre en œuvre est à destination du réseau DEPHY EXPE. Les observations sont réalisées deux fois par an : avant les désherbages de sortie d’hiver pour les cultures d’hiver ou avant les désherbages de postlevée pour les cultures de printemps afin de faire un état des lieux de la flore présente; puis avant la fermeture du rang ou la floraison afin de voir l’intensité de la compétition avec la culture. Ce travail a bénéficié de l’expertise du RMT Florad. Pour vérifier leur faisabilité, les protocoles ont été testés dans les réseaux RotAB et Rés0Pest. Ils ont également été discutés et critiqués avec les ingénieurs des réseaux DEPHY et d’autres professionnels de l’agriculture via une enquête web., To characterize weed pressure in agricultural fields of the DEPHY Ecophyto networks, the "weeds" working group of the CASIMIR project, helped by crop and weed experts working for the french crop institutes, developed two methods (CASIMIR DEPHYFARM and CASIMIR DEPHYEXPE) to survey weeds in main crops. The objectives of these methods are: (i) with shortterm concern, assess the efficacy of farming practices to manage weeds within the crop season, (ii) with longterm concern, assess the effect of cropping system (farming practices and crop sequence) on the dynamic of the weed communities. The CASIMIR DEPHYFARM method is based on walk away surveys made within a 2000m² reference plot where the trained person walks across the survey area (“W” path). The weeds are identified and their density is visually assessed using a "Barralis" modified scale. Their dominant phenological stages are also recorded. This simple and quick method intends to be used in the DEPHY FARM network. The CASIMIR DEPHYEXPE method is based on surveys performed on eight 16m² plots with one quadrat in each. Weed species are identified. The density of each species is visually estimated with a "Barralis" modified scale within the 16m² plots and precisely counted in the quadrats. On both, the dominant phenological stage of each species is recorded. At the end of the second surveys, the above ground biomass of each weed and crop species is yield to assess the cropweed competition. This method which is more complex and timeconsuming intends to be used in the DEPHY EXPE network. Surveys are performed twice a year: firstly before winter weedings (in winter crops) or before postemergence weeding (in spring crops) to observe emerging flora; then before the closedcanopy occurred to assess the flora competed crop. To design these methods, the CASIMIR project benefited from the expertise of the RMT Florad. To assess their feasibility, methods were performed in the RotAB and Rés0Pest networks. They are also discussed and criticized by engineers of the DEPHY networks and other professionals from agriculture through a web survey.

Tesis de maestría en ciencias especialidad física El estudio que se ha realizado con el paso de los años en materiales simples para obtener las características particulares de dichos materiales en dimensiones micro y nanométricas, han ido subiendo de nivel de complejidad, de tal manera que en la actualidad se ha tenido que recurrir a la mezcla de materiales o formación de compuestos que permiten el estudio de nuevas estructuras. Al conocer las características particulares de los materiales simples, se ha buscado de diferentes maneras las características de nanopartículas y nanoestructuras de mezclas de materiales. La observación del comportamiento óptico y la formación de nanopartículas han servido para conocer las características particulares de los materiales, así como también la formación de nanoestructuras en el interior de materiales donde han sido alojados. Algunos de estos estudios son: la óptica no lineal, el estudio teórico de la estructura electrónica, entre otros. 3, 4, 11, 12, 13 Gracias a los estudios que se les han realizado a la gran variedad de materiales se les ha podido dar una aplicación en base a sus características, algunos materiales son utilizados en medicina, en la industria farmacéutica, alimenticia, y también en la ciencia misma. En un estudio exhaustivo de los materiales se ha manejado, por su mejor respuesta, materiales metálicos para su formación como son: el Oro, la Plata y el Cobre; también se han utilizado materiales no metálicos como el Carbono y el Silicio; del mismo modo diferentes tipos de compuestos como: ZnO, CuCl, CuBr, CuI, CuO, CdSe, CdS, PbSe, CdTe y actualmente mixtos como CdSxSe1-x y CuClxBr1-x. En particular éstos últimos, que se han estudiado como partículas embebidas en vidrios y en forma de películas delgadas, serán objeto de estudio en el presente trabajo. Utilizando diferentes técnicas experimentales, se estudia la formación de nanopartículas embebidas en una matriz de ii halogenuro alcalino y se utilizan la contaminación por difusión y la contaminación desde el fundente como dos procesos fáciles en su manejo. Como este tipo de nanopartículas presentan una particular respuesta óptica, una manera de identificar las nanopartículas es debido a sus bandas excitónicas de los espectros de absorción y al conocer el comportamiento de las nanopartículas de CuX (X=Cl, Br) en KCl y KBr, se propuso estudiar la formación de nanopartículas en una matriz de la mezcla KClxBr1-x contaminado con cobre para tratar de formar el compuesto CuClxBr1-x y comparando con la literatura.
