Inspired by living organisms, soft robots are developed from intrinsically compliant materials, enabling continuous motions that mimic animal and vegetal movement.sup.1. In soft robots, the canonical hinges and bolts are replaced by elastomers assembled into actuators programmed to change shape following the application of stimuli, for example pneumatic inflation.sup.2-5. The morphing information is typically directly embedded within the shape of these actuators, whose assembly is facilitated by recent advances in rapid prototyping techniques.sup.6-11. Yet, these manufacturing processes have limitations in scalability, design flexibility and robustness. Here we demonstrate a new all-in-one methodology for the fabrication and the programming of soft machines. Instead of relying on the assembly of individual parts, our approach harnesses interfacial flows in elastomers that progressively cure to robustly produce monolithic pneumatic actuators whose shape can easily be tailored to suit applications ranging from artificial muscles to grippers. We rationalize the fluid mechanics at play in the assembly of our actuators and model their subsequent morphing. We leverage this quantitative knowledge to program these soft machines and produce complex functionalities, for example sequential motion obtained from a monotonic stimulus. We expect that the flexibility, robustness and predictive nature of our methodology will accelerate the proliferation of soft robotics by enabling the assembly of complex actuators, for example long, tortuous or vascular structures, thereby paving the way towards new functionalities stemming from geometric and material nonlinearities. An all-in-one methodology for fabricating soft robotics reported here uses interfacial flows in elastomers that cure to produce actuators that can be tailored to suit applications from artificial muscles to grippers., Author(s): Trevor J. Heavier-than-air flight at any scale is energetically expensive. This is greatly exacerbated at small scales and has so far presented an insurmountable obstacle for untethered flight in insect-sized (mass less than 500 milligrams and wingspan less than 5 centimetres) robots. These vehicles.sup.1-4 thus need to fly tethered to an offboard power supply and signal generator owing to the challenges associated with integrating onboard electronics within a limited payload capacity. Here we address these challenges to demonstrate sustained untethered flight of an insect-sized flapping-wing microscale aerial vehicle. The 90-milligram vehicle uses four wings driven by two alumina-reinforced piezoelectric actuators to increase aerodynamic efficiency (by up to 29 per cent relative to similar two-wing vehicles.sup.5) and achieve a peak lift-to-weight ratio of 4.1 to 1, demonstrating greater thrust per muscle mass than typical biological counterparts.sup.6. The integrated system of the vehicle together with the electronics required for untethered flight (a photovoltaic array and a signal generator) weighs 259 milligrams, with an additional payload capacity allowing for additional onboard devices. Consuming only 110-120 milliwatts of power, the system matches the thrust efficiency of similarly sized insects such as bees.sup.7. This insect-scale aerial vehicle is the lightest thus far to achieve sustained untethered flight (as opposed to impulsive jumping.sup.8 or liftoff.sup.9). Sustained flight of an insect-sized flapping-wing aerial vehicle weighing just 259 milligrams that does not need to fly tethered to an off-board power supply is demonstrated., Author(s): Noah T. - Abstract
In this work is proposed the design of a robotic cell and its subsequent implementation in a real machining company. The goal of the robot is to manipulate and transport parts that exit from a horizontal CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathe machine. CNC machines are a type of machines that are automatically controlled, which by scrubbing and turning pieces are capable of achieving all sorts of finishes. After this mechanization, the manipulated part has to be introduced into another vertical lathe CNC machine. After the second machine process, the part has to be taken again by the robot and placed on an output tape. This work presents the calculations of the robot's cycle time in nominal work and the calculations of parts that the cell is able to produce under normal production conditions. The implementation of this project has taken account of the compliance of standards, directives and regulations that are specified in this work. Following these regulations is essential in order to provide a safety environment for all workers, but also to make a responsible use of the materials used, in order to respect the environment. At the end of the work, the budget and conclusions from the work are presented with a brief explanation of the project's viability.

- Abstract
Al mismo tiempo, se realizará una guía detallada para proporcionar unas pautas iniciales a investigadores y estudiantes que quieran configurar la tecnología OPC UA y usarla en robots colaborativos., Nowadays, we have several methods to communicate the growing number of devices in the industry and manufacturing centres. Some of these options were developed more than four decades ago and are now showing signs of age. In recent years, the popularity of new communications protocols architectured with the ideas of Industry 4.0 has increased steadily alongside the need to have a reliable, fast, and secure network for data exchange between sensors, machines, robots, and people. One of these relatively new options is the standard OPC UA, which offers excellent support from devices by being platform-independent with a strong focus on security. These attributes are helping OPC UA become one of the top choices for scenarios where there are multiple devices sharing data. The aim of this research is to document the set-up of such technology between the robot UR3e (Universal Robots) and some PC programs. At the same time, the information in this project will be available in a concise step-by-step guide that will serve as a starting point for future students and researchers wanting to use OPC UA with collaborative robots.

Nowadays, we have several methods to communicate the growing number of devices in the industry and manufacturing centres.

The main purpose of this End-of-degree project is to design a robotic arm for classifying packages in department stores. To carry this out, the requirements of a robotic arm are studied to perform these functions, taking into account the different packets it will have to classify (different sizes and weights), how to differentiate them, the movements it will have to be able to make, etc. Once the features and functions required by the robot are defined, the CAD 3D design will be done using the SolidWorks program. Several static studies will also be conducted with this program in order to choose which material is most suitable. Subsequently, it will be studied what its load limits would be, the moments of force it would have to endure and the methods of motion transmission that would be implemented. The main difference from other similar robotic arms will be the wide range of possibilities it will offer in terms of the different measurements and weights of the packages it will be able to classify.
