The article presents the opinion of students on undergraduate majoring in “Aviation Security” in Polish Air Force Academy. The aim of the study was to describe the training and propose changes in the educational process of students for the security. The article presents the aims and tasks of public education for the security of the State and analysis of the results that have been obtained on the basis of a questionnaire. Participation of countries in international alliances stems from a desire to increase the level of national security through the support of its own defense capabilities guarantees the assistance provided by the allies. The North Atlantic Treaty was based on the concept of collective defense of the member countries against various types of threats. Polish membership in NATO recognizes the importance of the Alliance as an entity acting on behalf of the global and regional security. The research was to analyze representations of burnout syndrome in four groups of professionals, including sex, age and susceptibility to stressful factors. The research was conducted out among: teachers, banks’ employees, building administration employees, employees of renovation and construction companies. The highest rate of stress was observed among teachers and bank employees, but connected to the national sector, because of increased contact with multitudinous people. The stressful factors that were encountered: burden of work, conflicts with co-workers and superiors. Low income, fear from being judged were predominant causes in cases of teachers and bank employees; family issues were a stressful factor in a teacher’s profession. The main components of burnout syndrome were distinguished among teachers and employees of renovation and construction companies between the age of 31-40 and bank employees and building administration employees between the age of 41-50.

The road accident problem is currently one of the most important issues in the health and social policies of states on all continents. Almost 1.3 million people die on the road every day, and 20-50 million people suffer severe injuries, most of which require long-term treatment. The aim of the study was to find the most frequent and permanent causes of road accidents and to present actions that should create the basis for the development of road safety strategies and programs at local and global levels. A comparative analysis of the literature on road safety shows that, although road accidents have the most common and often complex undertow, their causes have changed a little over the years. Strategies and programs to improve road safety should include the following actions: reducing exposure to accidents, preventing accidents, reducing injuries caused by accidents, reducing injuries by improving the accident medical care.

Road traffic accidents and falls are the cause of over 80% of serious injuries in children. However, injuries resulting in road accidents are the leading cause of children’s death, more common than cancer and birth defects. The paper presents ways to reduce the risk of children in traffic. Road accidents are a serious problem of the modern world. They are one of the main causes of all injuries, which represent the third leading cause of death in the world. The research presents the problem of the road accidents, with particular emphasis on road accidents involving pedestrians and characterize the most common injuries are suffered by pedestrians in the road accidents. The type and extent of pedestrian injuries among the victims of road accidents mainly depends on four factors: the speed of the vehicle, construction vehicle, the braking maneuver carried out by driving a vehicle and age of the victim. The most important factor affecting the consequences of accidents on the victims is the vehicle speed at the time of collision. In adults, injuries occur most frequently located within the limbs.

Introduction. The first links in the rescue chain, the first aid and the call for specialist help, often determine the fate of the victim in a state of sudden threat to life. Therefore, the pyramid of rescue success should be built on the foundation of social rescue. Each reduction in the time of starting first aid increases the number of victims who survive the accident. Objective of the work. The aim of the work was to examine the state of knowledge of students about the European emergency number 112 and to compare knowledge about emergency numbers among various academic communities. Material and method. The study was conducted among students of the Medical University of Lublin, the Medical University of Warsaw, Lublin University of Technology, University of Economics, Law and Medical Sciences in Kielce. 610 respondents, including 402 women and 208 men, took part in the study. The research tool was the author's questionnaire, whose design was modeled on the research "Flash Eurobarometer Series 285". The obtained results were subjected to statistical analysis using the STATISTICA 12.5 program. Conclusions. Most of the respondents (92%) identify the 112 number as an emergency number that allows them to connect to emergency services from anywhere in the European Union. A significant number of respondents (47%) identify the 112 number as an emergency number in Poland. One in three respondents will use the 999 number to contact the emergency services as a witness to an emergency in Poland. Non-medical university students more often (63%) will use the 112 emergency number than medical college students (41%). Respondents (98%) confirmed the usefulness of a unified emergency number throughout Europe, but decided that they were not sufficiently informed about 112 as the European emergency number.
