El objetivo de este trabajo es aportar un aspecto no muy conocido de la biografía de Victoria Kent: sus estudios de Magisterio en la Escuela Normal de Maestras de Málaga. tras una rápida exposición biográfica se analiza su expediente académico, encontrado en el archivo de la antigua Escuela Normal, y el progreso realizado como estudiante hasta conseguir el título de maestra superior en 1911

El presente trabajo está en la misma línea de investigación que otros anteriormente realizados por nosotros sobre los cambios producidos en parámetros de la Actividad Electrodermal en relación con rasgos de personalidad y en la Anorexia Nerviosa. En una muestra de 20 pacientes diagnosticados de Anorexia Nerviosa y según criterios DSM-III-R (18 mujeres y 2 varones) recogemos la Actividad Electrodermal, concretamente la resistencia de la piel, en primer lugar en situación de reposo para las medidas tónicas y en segundo aplicando un test de habituación con estímulos auditivos para las medidas fásicas. Agrupamos los pacientes en respondedores (40%) y no respondedores (60%) a los estímulos presentados. A todos los pacientes les fue administrado el test de Rorshach, que valoramos a través de diferentes escalas psicodiagnósticas (neurosis, psicosis, depresión). Aplicando el test estadístico chi-cuadrado no encontramos diferencias significativas entre respondedores y no respondedores en las diferentes escalas del Rorschach en general, sin embargo analizando individualmente los items de las tres escalas encontramos diferencias significativas en el item 7 de la escala de neurosis, y los items 4 y 10 de la escala de depresión. Los resultados son interpretados como que los no respondedores parecen tener una más baja creatividad ideacional que los respondedores., Present investigation is in line with our previous work on electrodermal activity (EDA) in anorexia nervosa: first, we elucidated EDA changes in our patients; and, second, we assessed the relation between observed modifications and differents personality traits. In the present study we try to go further into the relations between EDA results and personality by means of Rorschach test administration and interpretation. The sample included 20 patients diagnosed according to the DSM-III-R criteria (females, 18; males, 2). Skin conductance level, skin conductance response and habituation to acoustic stimuli were evaluated, and patients grouped either in responders (40%) or nonresponders (60%). Rorschach test was administered to all patients, who were evaluated in different psycho diagnostic scales (neurosis, psychosis, depression). Although, as expected, chi-square test did not showed general significant differences between responders and nonresponders, when single items in the scales were found, thus, item 7 in neurosis, and items 4 and 10 in depression. Obtained results are interpreted as due to the fact that anorexic responders posses a higher ability to cope with emotions, whereas nonresponders seems to show low ideational creativity. This study proves the potential of using different but complementary approaches (EDA and Rorschach test) to anorexia nervosa patients.

[EN] Introduction: There is a need for biomarkers to monitor the earliest phases of Parkinson's disease (PD), especially in premotor stages. Here, we studied whether there are early gait alterations in carriers of the G2019S mutation of LRRK2 that can be detected by means of an inertial sensor system. Methods: Twenty-one idiopathic PD patients, 20 LRRK2-G2019S PD, 27 asymptomatic carriers of LRRK2-G2019S mutation (AsG2019S) and 36 controls walked equipped with 16 lightweight inertial sensors in three different experiments: i/normal gait, ii/fast gait and iii/dual-task gait. In the AsG2019S group, DaT-SPECT (123I-ioflupane) with semi-quantitative analysis was carried out. Motor and cognitive performance were evaluated using MDS-UPDRS-III and MoCA scales. We employed neural network techniques to classify individuals based on their walking patterns. Results: PD patients and controls showed differences in speed, stride length and arm swing amplitude, variability and asymmetry in all three tasks (p < 0.01). In the AsG2019S group, the only differences were detected during fast walking, with greater step time on the non-dominant side (p < 0.05), lower step/stride time variability (p < 0.01) and lower step time asymmetry (p < 0.01). DaT uptake showed a significant correlation with step time during fast walking on the non-dominant side (r = −0.52; p < 0.01). The neural network was able to differentiate between AsG2019S and healthy controls with an accuracy rate of 82.5%. Conclusion: Our sensor-based analysis did not detect substantial and robust changes in the gait of LRRK2-G2019S asymptomatic mutation carriers. Nonetheless, step or stride time during fast walking, supported by the observed correlation with striatal DaT binding deserves consideration as a potential biomarker in future studies
