The study regarding emergency nurses’ competencies remained virtually limited.Purpose: This study aimed to explore the emergency nurses’ competencies in the clinical emergency department (ED) context as needed by society.Methods: This qualitative study involved focus group discussions in six groups of 54 participants from three EDs. The data were analysed using grounded theory approach including the constant comparative, interpretations, and coding procedures; initial coding, focused coding and categories.Results: This study revealed 8 core competencies of emergency nurses: Shifting the nursing practice, Caring for acute critical patients, Communicating and coordinating, Covering disaster nursing roles, Reflecting on the ethical and legal standards, Researching competency, Teaching competencies and Leadership competencies. The interconnection of the 8 core competencies has resulted in 2 concepts of extending the ED nursing practice and demanding the advanced ED nursing role.Conclusion: The finding reflected the community needs of nurses who work in ED settings and the need for competency development of emergency nurses.Keywords: clinical competency, emergency care services, emergency department, emergency nursing, grounded theory, nurses, qualitative

COVID-19 menjadi pandemi global yang memicu kecemasan terutama pada perawat kritis (IGD dan ICU). Perawat IGD berisiko memiliki kecemasan karena menjadi lini pertama penanganan, sedangkan perawat ICU merawat pasien COVID yang berada di bawah ventilasi mekanis dan memerlukan prosedur invasif seperti suction yang meningkatkan risiko penularan COVID-19. Pengetahuan menjadi dasar perawat melakukan tindakan yang aman dan tepat bagi pasien dan perawat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan tingkat kecemasan yang terjadi pada perawat kritis. Metode yang digunakan analitik korelasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian adalah perawat di ruang ICU dan IGD di Rumah Sakit Kabupaten Kuningan Sebanyak 103 perawat yang diambil secara total sampling. Kuesioner tentang pengetahuan COVID-19 dan Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale menjadi instrumen dalam penelitian ini. Data dianalisis dengan somer’s d gamma. Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan sebagian besar pengetahuan perawat tentang COVID-19 dalam kategori baik sebanyak 97 orang (94,2%) dengan catatan perlu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang etiologi dan proses transmisi COVID-19, dan memiliki tingkat kecemasan pada kategori tidak ada kecemasan yaitu sebanyak 78 orang (75,7%). Hasil uji statistik didapatkan nilai ρ-value 0,026 dan nilai r = -0,665. Terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan tingkat kecemasan yang dialami oleh perawat kritis yang ada di Rumah Sakit Kabupaten Kuningan. Perawat diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang COVID-19 guna memiliki mekanisme koping adaptif selama pandemi.

POST STROKE PATIENTS IN THE SUBACUTE PHASE: INFORMATION REQUIRED Introduction: Post-stroke patient care in the subacute phase is carried out independently by the patient and family at home. Post-stroke patients must have adequate knowledge to carry out self-care at home. The lack of information obtained by post-stroke patients can affect the patient's ability to carry out self-care so that his health status decreases. Therefore, nurses as educators must be able to provide information according to the needs of post-stroke patients.Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the information needs of post-stroke patients in the sub-acute phase so that the nursing care provided is in accordance with the patient's needs.Method: This study is a quantitative descriptive study conducted on post-stroke patients at the Neurology Polyclinic, one of the hospitals in Bandung. The sample technique used was consecutive sampling as many as 83 people. The inclusion criteria of post-stroke patients in this study were having full awareness and not experiencing aphasia. The instrument used in this study was based on the concept of the needs of post-stroke patients Kevitt (2009) and Moreland (2009) with a validity coefficient of 0.73 and an r of 0.75.Result: The information needs of post-stroke patients in a row include information about self-management to prevent recurrence or stroke recurrence ( = 1,59), nformation about nutrition that must be taken ( = 1,54), information about risks and side effects of treatment ( = 1,49), information about certainty of disease condition ( = 1,48), and information about stroke ( = 1,45).Conclusion: Post-stroke patients need all information related to stroke, especially regarding self-management. Therefore, health workers are expected to provide education according to patient needs. Education for stroke patients can be done using various media and focuses on the patient. Keywords: Informations needs, Subacute, Stroke Patients INTISARI: PASIEN PASKA STROKE PADA FASE SUBACUTE: INFORMASI YANG DIBUTUHKAN Latar Belakang: Perawatan pasien post stroke pada fase subacute dilakukan secara mandiri oleh pasien dan keluarga di rumah. Pasien paska stroke harus memiliki pengetahuan yang adekuat untuk menjalankan perawatan diri di rumah. Kurangnya informasi yang didapatkan pasien paska stroke dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan pasien menjalankan perawatan diri sehingga status kesehatannya menurun. Oleh karena itu, perawat sebagai edukator harus mampu memberikan informasi sesuai kebutuhan pasien paska stroke. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan informasi pasien paska stroke pada fase subacute agar asuhan keperawatan yang diberikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasien.Metoda Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan kepada pasien paska stroke di Poliklinik Saraf dua Rumah Sakit di Bandung. Teknik sample yang digunakan adalah consecutive sampling sebanyak 83 orang. Kriteria inklusi pasien paska stroke dalam penelitian ini adalah memiliki kesadaran penuh dan tidak mengalami aphasia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan konsep kebutuhan pasien paska stroke khususnya bagian kebutuhan informasi yang dikembangkan oleh Kevitt (2009) dan Moreland (2009) dengan koefisien validitas 0,73 dan r 0,75.Hasil: Kebutuhan informasi pasien paska stroke secara berturut-turut diantaranya adalah informasi mengenai manajemen diri untuk mencegah kekambuhan atau stroke ulang ( = 1,59), informasi mengenai nutrisi yang harus dijalani ( = 1,54), informasi mengenai resiko dan efek samping pengobatan ( = 1,49), informasi mengenai kepastian kondisi penyakit ( = 1,48), dan informasi mengenai penyakit stroke ( = 1,45).Kesimpulan: Pasien paska stroke membutuhkan semua informasi yang berkaitan dengan stroke khususnya mengenai manajemen diri. Oleh karena itu, petugas kesehatan diharapkan dapat memberikan edukasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasien. The level of teachers' disaster preparedness in schools is one thing that influences the impact of disasters on children with disabilities, especially earthquakes, which can occur at any time, including during school hours. Therefore, this study aims to determine the description of earthquake disaster preparedness for special school teachers. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a total sample of 37 teachers at Cileunyi State SLB, and the total sampling technique used was this study. Preparedness measurement for SLB teachers uses instruments modified according to research needs. Data analysis with frequency distribution and results were grouped into ready and unprepared categories. The results showed that 86.5% of teachers were categorized as 'ready'. The best preparedness parameter is disaster knowledge, while the lowest is disaster warning. From the study results, it can be concluded that most SLB teachers are categorized as ready to face earthquake disasters. However, it is expected that efforts to improve aspects of disaster warning can be carried out, such as providing disaster warning tools, especially for children with disabilities.

Hipertensi merupakan merupakan penyakit kronis yang dapat dikendalikan salah satunya dengan perawatan diri ( self-care ). Sehingga diharapkan dengan self-care akan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan dan kualitas hidup. Untuk mencapai keberhasilan dalam mengendalikan hipertensi, diperlukan keterlibatan unsur masyarakat, salah satunya kader kesehatan. Kader kesehatan dapat berperan serta dalam mendampingi dan men- support pasien hipertensi dalam self-care hipertensi. Namun, belum ada program yang secara khusus melatih kader kesehatan dalam mengkaji self-care hipertensi. Sehingga program pengabdian masyarakat yang berorientasi pada pemberdayaan kader kesehatan dalam self-care hipertensi diperlukan guna mencegah komplikasi dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien hipertensi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan kader dalam mengkaji self-care pada pasien hipertensi. Metode kegiatan berupa pendidikan masyarakat yaitu pelatihan kader kesehatan dalam mengkaji self-care pasien hipertensi. Target dan sasaran pada kegiatan ini adalah kader kesehatan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pasundan Kota Bandung sebanyak 37 orang. Luaran kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan kader dalam mengkaji self-care pada pasien hipertensi. Evaluasi dilaksanakan dengan mengukur pengetahuan kader kesehatan sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan didapatkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan (α 0.000) setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat berupa pelatihan kader kesehatan dalam mengkaji self-care hipertensi ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan kader kesehatan mengenai hipertensi dan self-care hipertensi. Kata Kunci: Hipertensi, Kader Kesehatan, Self-Care ABSTRACT Hypertension is a chronic disease that can be controlled by self-care. It is hoped that self-care will improve the health and quality of life. To achieve success in controlling hypertension, it is necessary to involve one element of the community (health cadre). Health cadres can participate in assisting and supporting hypertensive patients in self-care hypertension. However, there is no program that specifically trains health cadres in assessing hypertension self-care. So that community service programs oriented to empowering health cadres in hypertension self-care are needed to prevent complications and improve the quality of life for hypertensive patients. The purpose of this activity is to increase health cadre knowledge in assessing self-care in hypertensive patients. The method of activity is the training of health cadres in assessing self-care for hypertensive patients. The target of this activity was 37 health cadres in the work area of Pasundan Health Center in Bandung City. The outcome of activities is an increase in cadre knowledge in assessing self-care in hypertensive patients. Evaluation is seen from the knowledge of health cadres before and after training. The result of the activity was that there were differences in knowledge of health cadres (α 0.000) after attending the training. Health cadre training in assessing hypertension self-care is effective in increasing health cadres’ knowledge about hypertension and hypertension self-care. Most cases of HIV in Indonesia occur during adolescents. HIV prevention can be done by changing good behavior. Currently, efforts to prevent the occurrence of HIV are not carried out optimally, one of the causes is a lack of knowledge about HIV. The research objective was to describe knowledge about HIV in adolescents. This research used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The variable in this research was knowledge of HIV. The population in this research was all students of SMAN 17 Garut. Sampling using the Stratified Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 277 people. Data analysis used univariate analysis with frequency distribution and presented as a percentage. The research was conducted from March to April 2020. The results showed as many as 5 respondents (1.8%) were in a good category, as many as 105 respondents (37.9%) were in the sufficient category, and 167 respondents (60.3%) were in a good category. in the unfavorable category. The conclusion of this research is that most adolescents have poor knowledge of HIV, almost half of the adolescents are in the sufficient category, and a small proportion of adolescents are in the good category. To overcome this, it is necessary to collaborate between teachers and health workers such as nurses to convey information in the form of counseling either directly or through social media, so that prevention efforts can be carried out optimally. Abstrak: Kasus HIV di Indonesia banyak terjadi pada usia remaja. Pencegahan HIV dapat dilakukan dengan perubahan perilaku yang baik. Saat ini upaya pencegahan terjadinya HIV tidak dilakukan dengan optimal, salah satu penyebabnya karena kurangnya pengetahuan tentang HIV. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan tentang HIV pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Variabel pada penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan tentang HIV. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa-siswi SMAN 17 Garut. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Stratified Random Sampling dengan jumlah sampel yaitu 277 orang. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dengan distribusi frekuensi dan disajikan dalam bentuk persentase. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebanyak 5 responden (1,8%) berada pada kategori baik, sebanyak 105 responden (37,9%) berada di kategori cukup, dan 167 responden (60,3%) berada pada kategori kurang baik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar remaja memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang baik tentang HIV, hampir setengahnya remaja berada pada kategori cukup, dan sebagian kecil remaja berada pada kategori baik. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, perlu dilakukan kolaborasi antara guru dan tenaga kesehatan seperti perawat untuk menyampaikan informasi berupa penyuluhan baik secara langsung maupun melalui media sosial, sehingga upaya pencegahan dapat dilakukan dengan optimal.

Pasien COVID-19 dengan gejala ringan hingga sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri sesuai dengan kebijakan terbaru yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah karena keterbatasan ruang perawatan. Pendidikan kesehatan tentang perawatan pasien COVID-19 selama menjalani isolasi mandiri (ISOMAN), menjadi sangat penting untuk mendukung keberhasilan ISOMAN pasien Covid 19. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang self care pada pasien COVID-19 selama menjalani isolasi mandiri dirumah. Sasaran kegiatan adalah seluruh masyarakat terutama pasien COVID-19 yang sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri dirumah. Jumlah partisipan yang terlibat sebanyak 74 peserta. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diawali dengan pretest, pemaparan materi, sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab dengan menggunakan aplikasi zoom, kemudian diakhiri dengan mengisi post test. Data univariat dan bivariat dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t test berpasangan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan rata-rata responden secara signifikan pretest 42.77 dan post test 83,24 dengan signifikansi 0,00. Hal ini menujukkan bahwa penggunaan metode daring dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan responden terkait topik pendidikan kesehatan yang telah diberikan. Kesimpulan pelaksanaan pendidikan kesehatan dengan medode daring dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan responden tentang self care pada pasien Covid-19 selama isolasi mandiri. Diharapkan pelaksanaan pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode ini dapat dilakukan untuk memberikan informasi bagi pasien COVID-19 yang sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri. Introduction: This study aims to assess the palliative care nursing (PCN) knowledge and attitude of nursing students toward end-of-life care (EoLC) after completing the multi-methods PCN courses. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a pre-and post-palliative survey was conducted. One hundred and sixty five nursing students from a faculty of nursing in Indonesia were enrolled, and knowledge and attitude were assessed using the palliative care quiz for nurses (PCQN) and the Frommelt Attitude Toward Care of the Dying and Death (FATCOD). Paired t-test and ANOVA were applied in this study. Results: After being involved in the PCN course, the mean score of PCN knowledge of the students increased significantly (p < 0.001). According to sub-domain analysis, the knowledge increased significantly in pain and symptom management (p < 0.001) and not significantly in the domains of theory and principle of the palliative, psychosocial, and spiritual care (p = 0.053; p = 0.080). Moreover, students’ attitude toward EoLC also increased significantly (p < 0.001), and positive attitudes increased from 75.6% to 91.5%. According to the ANOVA test, knowledge in two different groups (witnessed dying people and GPA) is not statistically meaningful (FWDP (1158) = 0.817, p = 0.367; FGPA (2.158) = 1.143, p = 0.322). Similarly, attitudes toward EoLC in two different groups are not statistically meaningful (FWD (1158) = 0.971. p = 0.326, FGPA (1157) = 1.278, p = 0.281). Conclusion: PCN courses with multi-method learning and teaching are effective to increase PCN knowledge, particularly in pain and symptom management knowledge, and also effective in increasing the positive attitudes toward EoLC.

Background: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) has a high recurrence in Indonesia. This condition may occur as a result of the failure of compliance with post-acute management following a heart attack by CHD patients. One of the causes is the lack of effective health education. Objective : The aim of this study was to identify the feasibility of the workbook in improving patients’ self-efficacy (SE) and quality of life (QoL). Methods: This research used a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control design. A pretest was done to the patients who were treated in the cardiac intensive unit, and a posttest was carried out at the end of the first and second month after the pretest. The population was all post-acute CHD patients who were admitted to the cardiac intensive unit in one of the referral hospitals in West Java, Indonesia. A purposive sampling was used and obtained 39 respondents who were divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group was given a health education using a workbook, and the control group was given a direct health education. Self-efficacy was measured using a questionnaire developed by the authors, with high validity and reliability. A SF-12 instrument was used for measuring the quality of life. Data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative analysis such as mean, Mann Whitney test, and Independent t-test. To estimate the effects of the intervention to QoL and SE, Kruskal Wallis test and One-way ANOVA were used. Results: The results showed that there was an increase in SE and QoL in both groups, either in the posttest 1 or posttest 2. The comparison of QoL in the pretest, posttest I and II obtained p =.452, .741, and .826, while SE between and within groups obtained p = .732, .220, and .009, respectively. Conclusions : Health education using the workbook was significantly more effective to increase SE than QoL of the CHD patients.

Introduction: Stress experienced by the baby will affect the body’s function by increasing the body’s metabolism. Nesting is used to reduce stress in premature babies. Nesting can be done in a supine or prone position. Few studies have examined the effects of body position on body weight and oxygen saturation. The objective of the study was to determine the difference in oxygen saturation and weight change on the use of nesting in the prone and supine positions in premature babies. Methods: The research used a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 30 premature babies, which was obtained using a consecutive sample technique. The independent variables were nesting positioning (supine and prone), and the dependent variables were oxygen saturation and body weight. The data of oxygen saturation and the baby’s weight were collected using pulse oximetry; the baby’s weight scale used observation sheets. The data was analysed using the t-test, Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test, and Mann Whitney U Test. Results: The results showed that there was a difference in oxygen saturation before and after the use of nesting in the supine (p=0.001) and prone position (p=0.000). There was a weight difference before and after the use of nesting in both supine (p=0.000) and prone position (p=0.000). There was no difference in oxygen saturation value and infant weight, before or after, between the supine position and the prone position (p=0.18; p=0.9). Conclusion: The use of nesting in both positions (supine or prone) can increase oxygen saturation and infant weight. Researchers recommend the use of nesting with supine or prone positions routinely in premature babies.

Background: A surgical procedure using general anaesthesia in laparotomy surgery results in reduced bowel sound. A large number of patients who experience a delay in returning bowel sound after laparotomy surgery become the reason to give proper intervention in order to increase bowel sound return time. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can be used is chewing gum. Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify the difference of bowel sound return time between groups of intervention and control after being given chewing gum intervention among post-laparotomy surgery patients. Methods: This quasi-experimental study used post-test only control group design. Thirty respondents were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation by calculating the bowel sound return time among post laparotomy surgery patients in the intervention group ( n =15) and control group ( n =15), and were analyzed using the Mann Whitney test. The intervention group was asked to chew the gum once for 30 minutes, and bowel sound was measured every 30 minutes for 120 minutes. Results: The results showed that bowel sound return time in the intervention group was 90 minutes and the control group was 150 minutes, and p -value was 0.005. Conclusion: There was a difference in the return time of bowel sound between the intervention and control groups. Therefore, the intervention of chewing gum could become one of the non- pharmacological interventions that can be considered in increasing the bowel sound return time among post-laparotomy surgery patients.

Background: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is one of the measures to deal with emergency cardiac arrest (cardiac arrest) where the heart organ loses its function suddenly. Hence it is unable to pump blood throughout the body. CPR consists of aid in circulation (compression) and breathing (ventilation). AHA has determined guidelines for implementing CPR, especially an essential point in CPR, namely chest compression. The standing position is fundamental in the implementation of CPR, but kneeling and footstool positions can be carried out during CPR implementation. This paper aims to show the impact of standing, kneeling, and footstool positions on CPR quality.Method: The method used is by searching journals in Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The keywords used are CPR, Kneeling Position, Footstool, standing beside the bed Obtained eight selected journals according to the topic, then analyzed.Results: Based on the search result, eight articles meet the criteria. The literature review results showed three positions that can be chosen when conducting CPR: standing, kneeling, and footstool. Those positions could give impact toward helper: pain level and exhaustion degree, and quality of CPR: compression strength, depth of compression, amount of compression, chest recoil, elbow movement, and movement in the lower back.Conclusion: Three CPR positions can be done, including standing beside the bed, kneeling, and standing on stepstool footing. Each position gives impacts both to helper condition and CPR quality. Researchers recommend standing on stepstool footing due to it provides the best effect on CPR quality.

A large number of patient visits to the Emergency Department (ED) will influence the outcome of the services provided. The triage scale is one method designed to manage patient screening for quality service improvement. Several triage scales are employed internationally in the EDs including the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS), the Manchester Triage System (MTS), the Canadian Triage and Accuracy Scale (CTAS), and the Emergency Severity Index (ESI). Several studies have a concern to identify the reliability of the triage scale, but only a few of them identified the accuracy of the triage scale. The purpose of this literature review was to identify the best reliability and accuracy among ATS, MTS, CTAS, and ESI based on the literature. The literature search was conducted on electronic databases EBSCO and PubMed with keywords including (triage OR emergency department triage) AND reliability AND ((the Canadian Triage and Accuracy Scale OR CTAS) AND (the Australasian Triage Scale OR ATS) AND (the Manchester Triage System OR MTS) AND the Emergency Severity Index OR ESI)). Assessment of articles was composed based on the PRISMA format with criteria including primary research articles containing the reliability and accuracy of the triage scale in English and published between 2009 – 2019. A total of 271 publications were identified and only 10 studies were included in this literature review. The results reveal that ATS has a moderate level of reliability (k = 04 – 0.57) with an accuracy of 46.2% – 58.3%, CTAS has a good level reliability (k = 0.770) with accuracy of 49%, MTS have good to excellent level of reliability (k = 0.61 – 0.95) with accuracy of 49%, and ESI have moderate to excellent level reliability (k = 0.45 – 0.94) with accuracy of 59.6 % – 72.5%. Based on this review, MTS and ESI are the triage scale with the highest reliability and accuracy. Therefore, MTS and ESI are highly recommended in the ED. However, each EDs need to pay attention to the characteristics, culture, and available resources before choosing and implementing an appropriate triage scale.

Cardiac arrest termasuk kejadian kegawatdaruratan yang membutuhkan bantuan hidup dasar dengan resusitasi jantung paru. Upaya pertolongan bantuan hidup dasar yang terlambat diberikan dapat berdampak kematian pada pasien. Tim reaksi cepat sebagai tenaga kesehatan yang dibentuk khusus untuk menangani pasien kegawatdaruratan dituntut mampu memberikan pertolongan pada pasien gawat darurat dengan cepat dan tepat. Tim reaksi cepat membutuhkan pengetahuan dalam melakukan tindakan bantuan hidup dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan Tim Reaksi Cepat tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif pada 37 anggota tim reaksi cepat yang dipilih menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan yang disusun dan dikembangkan peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan sebagian besar dalam kategori kurang yaitu sebanyak 36 responden (97,3%) dan satu responden (2,7%) memiliki pengetahuan baik. Responden dengan katergori pengetahuan yang kurang memiliki kategori kurang di semua indikator seperti, pada pengetahuan konsep dasar, pengkajian respon dalam BHD, resusitasi paru dalam BHD, resusitasi jantung dalam BHD, dan AED dalam BHD. Perlu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang bantuan hidup dasar dengan mengadakan pelatihan, evaluasi serta pembaharuan standar prosedur operasional BHD.

Background: Patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) should have good self-management capabilities. This is determined by the effective of health education which is based on the assessment of patients’ learning needs and consideration of health personnel. On the other hand, the study of perceptions of CHD patients’ learning needs in Indonesia is little known. Objective: This study aimed to identify the CHD patients’ learning needs. Methods: This study was a descriptive quantitative with cross-sectional approach. Population was CHD patients in one of the referral hospitals in West Java Indonesia. Samples were recruited using consecutive sampling technique for a 2-month period (n=106). Data were collected using TR-CPLNI instrument and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and Kruskal Wallis test . Introduction: Recurrence of coronary heart disease (CHD) occurs due to non-compliance patients in managing CHD. One predictor of compliance with CHD management is illness cognition (IC), and IC can be improved through illness stimuli that can be done through health education in this study through workbooks. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effect of the workbook on illness cognition in CHD patients. Methods. This research was a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control design. A pretest was done to the patient who was treated in the Cardiac Intensive Unit; posttest was carried out at the end of the first and second month after the pretest. The population was all post-acute CHD patients who were admitted to the cardiac intensive unit in one of the referral hospital in West Java, Indonesia. Purposive sampling was used and obtained 39 respondents who were divided into control and intervention groups. The instrument used was the illness cognition questionnaire (ICQ). Data were analyzed using the mean, median, percentage, and to estimate the effect of the workbook to the patients' IC used Wilcoxon and Friedman test. Results: The results showed an increase in acceptance and perceived benefits for both groups while in the helplessness showed the decrease scores. The p-value of IC comparison in the pre-test, post-test I, and II between groups for helplessness, acceptance, and perceived benefits were 0.118; 0.376; and 0.424, respectively. Besides, the p-value for differences of IC within control and intervention groups was less than 0.05. Conclusions: The workbook in this study generally did not provide significant IC changes to respondents.

Nursing education at post graduate degree aims to produce graduates with the essential competencies as researchers which are closely related to the capability of implementing information technology which are in the global health era. However, the implementation of blended learning which combines e-learning approach into the learning process has characterised with various challenges for students and lecturers. These study aims are to identify the effect of the blended learning approach to student satisfaction on the learning process in the master's degree nursing program in Indonesian context.Method: The study was conducted in 2018, the quantitative approach has been utilized. Participants in this study are 88 post graduate nursing students who were selected with purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through survey and analysis correlational with Pearson test.Finding of the study has indicated that the Blended learning approach as indicated in: Quality of Learning Process (QLP) in terms of Student Engagement and Accessibility & interactivity on average is 83% favourable and 17% unfavourable; and QLP from students’ perspective is 58, 96% favourable and 41.04 % unfavourable. Student satisfaction with blended learning process on average is 54.75% favourable and 45.25% unfavourable. The results of the Pearson analysis have shown that there is a very weak correlation between the Blended Learning approach and Student Satisfaction with correlation value of 0.180 and Significance value of 0.864. In this case, almost all participants stated that blended learning is essential as it makes the learning process more innovative and it motivates independent learning.

Background: Depression in Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients influence the quality of life and worsen their condition. However, Depression and factors related to its incidences in CHF patients in Indonesia are little known. Objectives: This study aimed to identify depression incidences and its related factors, including age, sex, working status, education level, and duration of illness. Methods: This study was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population was CHF patients who were undergoing treatment in one of the referral hospital in Bandung West-Java, Indonesia. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling and obtained 51 respondents for one month period. The data was collected using the Beck Depression Inventory-II instrument and analyzed using frequency distribution; Sommers’d Gamma; and Contingency coefficient Lambda. Result: The frequencies of respondents who experienced depression were mild in 62.7%; depression in 21.6%, and moderate in 5.9%. Besides, factors that significantly related to a depression were age (p=0.001, r=-0.419); and duration of illness (p=0.02, r=-0.396). Other factors were sex; working status; and education level, with the p-value were 0.100; 0.122; and 0.278 respectively. Conclusion: Most of the respondents experienced mild to moderate depression with agesanddurationofillnessassignificantrelatedfactors.Themoreagesandthemore duration of CHF diagnosis, the less depression occurred to the respondents. Thus nurses need to be conscious of the incidence of depression in younger age and or newly diagnosed CHF patients.

Background: Pressure ulcer or pressure injury is one of the complications of immobility patients in the intensive care unit. Nurses play an important role in pressure ulcer prevention. Actual factors like facilitators to preventing pressure ulcers can affect nurses’ behavior to prevent pressure ulcers. Objectives: The objective of this study was to identify nurses’ perceived facilitating factors that affected pressure ulcer prevention in the intensive care unit. Methods: A cross-sectional and quantitative descriptive study design was used to collect data. This study was conducted among nurses working in the intensive care unit in one hospital in West Java. Seventy nurses participated in this study. The facilitator factors questionnaire and information form were used to identify what factors affected pressure ulcer prevention among intensive nurses. Data were analyzed by a computer program using frequency distributive and cross-tabulation. Results: From the total sample size, 68.6% (n=70) were female nurses, while 92.9% (n=70) were civil servant nurses. Only 30% (n=70) were graduated from bachelor degree nursing program, and 77.14%(n=70) said they never attended training about pressure ulcer nor wound care management. All of the respondents claimed that in pressure ulcer prevention, they felt facilitators that made pressure ulcer prevention was easier. Access to pressure ulcer relieving device, equipment, and facilitator (97.14%), good teamwork (75.71%), and knowledge (68.57%) were the most commonly mentioned factors that facilitating pressure ulcer prevention. Otherwise, time and amounts of the staff were perceived facilitators named by 40% and 22.86% respondents, respectively. Only 1.43% of respondents stated that the schedule was a facilitator factor. Conclusion: Considering the results of this study, facilitating factors were important for intensive nurses to prevent patients’ pressure ulcer, and the most commonly named was access to pressure ulcer relieving device, equipment, and facility. To improve the pressure ulcer prevention, the hospital should provide device, equipment, and facility, like pressure distributor; therapeutic linens; protector the skin; and positioner.

The high mortality rate in Emergency Department (ED) is consistent with the high demand for end of life (EOL) care. However, ED work system required to life saving quickly and precisely often makes EOL care is not working optimally.The purpose of this study was to determine nurses’perceptions in emergency departments related to obstacles and supportive behaviors (SB) in providing EOL care to dying patients. Descriptive-quantitative method was used with cross-sectional approach in 50 nurses Emergency Department at one of the tertiary hospitals in Indonesia. The samples were chosen using the total sampling technique. Data collection used the emergency nurse perceptions of end of life care questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis in the form of distribution, frequency, and mean. The result of the study showed that the main obstacles in EOL care were: ED nurses’ work loads (10.626), intra-family disagreements (9,802), and dealing with angry family members (9.472). The three main perceptions in supportive behaviors were teaching families how to act (11.962), allowing family members adequate time with the patient after patient died (11.09), and good collaboration from paramedics personnel (10.886. It can be conclude that nurses facing obstacles in taking care end-of-life patients. Based on this research, further studies are needed to minimize obstacles and improve supportive behaviors related to the nurse's workload, the provision of spiritual teams, special training for nurse and the provision of special rooms for EOL patients and their families.

Standard precautions is an action to prevent infection in any cases of medical treatment toward patients. However, some studies have shown that the implementation of standard precautions has not been optimal due to the barriers perceived by nurses. This study aimed to identify the barriers perceived by nurses in the implementation of standard precautions. Descriptive-quantitative method was used with cross-sectional approach in 37 nurses in General Hospital Emergency Department by using total sampling technique. The data were collected by using questionnaires consisting of 48 statements, including five action of standard precautions (hand hygiene, use of PPEs, safe injection, environmental disinfection, and respiratory hygiene practices/ethics of cough and sneezing) and have been through the content and face validity test. The data were analyzed by using frequency distribution and presented in percentage. The results showed that there were some barriers perceived by nurses on standard precautions action. The most perceived barriers are limited PPEs equipment (45.9%), equipment that irritates the skin on hand hygiene (37.8%), increased number of patients in environmental disinfection (32.4%), limited support and supervision in the implementations of standard precautions for safe injection (16.2%), and equipment limitations on respiratory hygiene practices/ethics of cough and sneezing (10.8%). Based on this research, the hospital should strengthen the function properly and regularly to overcome some equipment, seek hand hygiene equipment containing emollient/moisturizers and alcohol type hand rub n-propanol to overcome skin irritation, and pay attention to the study of the ratio of nurses and patients to safe working practices. In addition, the hospital should create a practice program, socialize rewards or penalties to improve it in standard precautions.

Nurses who work in intensive care unit and emergency rooms have excessive workload, and they are required to carry out nursing interventions appropriately and quickly. The heavy workload has an impact on the nurse's mentality, however limited information about the nurse's mentality related to workload. The aim of the study was to identify the mental workload of nurses in intensive care and emergency rooms. Method, this research is quantitative descriptive study with total sampling technique, 63 nurses who worked in ICU, PICU / NICU, and IGD of RSUD Kota Bandung involved in this study. The research instrument was NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration-Task Load Index). Data were analyed using descriptive analysis in the form of frequency distribution and mean. The results showed that nurses in the emergency room (42.9%) had high mental workload, and the moderate mental workload identified in nurses who works the PICU / NICU and ICU rooms. Conclusion, critical care rooms and emergency room should consider nurses’ working balance and fulfill their rest needs. Further research is needed to examine the efforts that can be made to reduce nurses' mental workload.

Post-stroke patients experience in various disturbances including physical, psychological and spiritual aspect. Post-stroke patients in the rehabilitation phase focus more on physical needs while the unfulfilled spiritual needs can reduce the patient's health condition. Therefore, it takes action to meet the spiritual needs of patients. This study was conducted to identify the spiritual needs among post-stroke patients.The descriptive quantitative was used among post-stroke patients in Neurological Polyclinic and stroke center in one of the Hospital in Bandung in 2017. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling with 83 samples included post-stroke patients who have full awareness and didnot experience of aphasia. The instrument of this study used Spiritual Needs Questionnaire (SpNQ) which consists of 4 dimensions including religious, peace, self-existence, and dimension of the giving needs. SpNQ had a validity coefficient of 0.73 and r 0.75. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution. The results showed that the most of respondents feel the spiritual need in all dimensions. In the religious dimension, the majority of respondents desired to pray with others, to move closer to God and participate in various religious activities (98.8%). In the dimension of peace showed the most of respondents desired to be more cherished by others (96.4%). The most perceived item of respondents were forgiving someone from the past in the dimension of self-existence (98.8%) and a solace for others in the dimension of the giving needs (98.8%). The conclusion from this study was most respondents feel the spiritual needs in all dimensions. Based on these results, nurses are expected to provide advice to people around the patients to invite them in various religious activities. Nurses supposed more expressing affection to them and involving the patients in some family activities.

Hypertension is a health problem that needs attention in Indonesia. To decrease the incidence of hypertension, we could give health education to the community. Provision of information and education through learning media such as booklet was one effort to empower the community in preventing and performing hypertension treatment at home. Increasing health promotion through the provision of information and education using learning media was expected to improve the knowledge and self-efficacy of the community that will affect the behavior of the community. Pangandaran Regency is one of the target areas of Padjadjaran University where hypertension is one of the highest prevalence diseases. The purpose of this activity was to improve knowledge of community self-efficacy about prevention and treatment of hypertension. This activity was carried out from community surveys, booklet preparation, booklet socialization, and evaluation. At the implementation stage, the activity was followed by 22 people and 13 of them had hypertension. People who had hypertension were given hypertension management booklet then their knowledge and self-efficacy evaluate after one to two weeks. The result showed that there was an increase in the average knowledge and self-efficacy of them after the program. Besides that, there were differences in an average score of public knowledge before and after the giving of booklets, but there was no difference in the average self-efficacy score. This booklet can be used to provide health education to the community related to prevention and treatment of hypertension, so hopefully, there will be changes in behavior to manage hypertension. Latar Belakang: Kecemasan pada pasien sindrom koroner akut (SKA) yang menjalani rawat jalan masih sedikit diteliti, padahal kecemasan pada pasien rawat jalan merupakan hal yang penting untuk dikaji karena pasien berada di rumah dan jauh dari fasilitas kesehatan. Beberapa konsep menyatakan bahwa kecemasan pada pasien SKA dapat memperburuk keadaan jantung, namun demikian bagaimana kaitan antara cemas dengan frekuensi angina masih belum banyak diteliti. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan kecemasan dengan frekuensi angina pada pasien SKA. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah correlational study. Penelitian dilakukan di Poliklinik Jantung di satu Rumah Sakit di Jawa Barat. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 responden dengan SKA yang di ambil menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunaan kuesioner ZSAS dan SAQ selama satu bulan, kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil: Mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat kecemasan normal dan frekuensi angina minimal. Sedangkan responden yang mengalami cemas berat sebesar 3% dan mengalami frekuensi angina berat sebesar 8%.Hasil perhitungan p-value sebesar 0,00 yang lebih kecil dari α (0,05) dan r -0,508 maka terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kecemasan dengan frekuensi angina. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan dengan frekuensi angina pada pasien dengan SKA. Semakin tinggi tingkat kecemasan seseorang maka frekuensi angina semakin berat.

Spiritual care merupakan hal yang penting bagi pasien kanker. Namun pelayan keperawatan masih terfokus pada aspek fisik, sehingga data mengenai kebutuhan spiritual pasien kanker di Indonesia belum komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan spiritual pada pasien kanker serta tingkat kebutuhannya. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini melibatkan 76 pasien kanker yang sedang menjalani perawatan di salah satu RS di Bandung yang diambil dengan accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen Spiritual Needs Questionaire 2.1 (SPNQ 2.1) yang meliputi aspek religi, kedamaian dan eksistensi diri. Analisa data kebutuhan spiritualitas menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase, sedangkan nilai rerata digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi seberapa kuat kebutuhan spiritual tersebut bagi responden dengan kategori 1 – 1,9 agak dibutuhkan; 2 – 2,9 dibutuhkan; 3 sangat dibutuhkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada aspek religi, berdoa dengan orang lain dan seseorang berdoa untuk responden memiliki persentase paling tinggi (96,05%). Pada aspek kedamaian, tinggal di tempat yang tenang dan damai serta menemukan kedamaian batin memiliki persentase paling tinggi (89,47%). Pada aspek eksistensi diri, menemukan makna dalam sakit dan penderitaan memiliki persentase paling tinggi (94,74%). Adapun pada kebutuhan untuk memberi, beralih menjadi orang yang penuh cinta kasih memiliki persentase paling tinggi (89,47%). Kebutuhan tersebut masuk ke dalam kategori dibutuhkan dengan nilai rerata sebagai berikut : kebutuhan religi (2,28±0,47); kedamaian (2,19±0,47); eksistensi diri (2,11±0,76); dan kebutuhan untuk memberi (2,08±0,55). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua dimensi kebutuhan spiritual sangat dibutuhkan oleh responden, dan kebutuhan religi merupakan kebutuhan yang paling banyak dipilih dan dirasakan paling dibutuhkan. This quantitative descriptive study involved 76 cancer patients, selected using accidental sampling method, who were undergoing treatment in a hospital in Bandung, West Java. Data were collected using Spiritual Needs Questionnaire 2.1 (SPNQ 2.1) consisting of Religious, Inner Peace, Existential, and Actively Giving aspects. To analyse data of spiritual needs, the study used distribution of frequency and percentage. Mean value was used to identify how important those spiritual needs were to respondents (1-1.9: somewhat needed, 2-2.9: fairly needed, 3: strongly needed). The results showed that on Religious aspect, “praying with others” and “having someone pray for me” have the highest percentage (96.05%). On Inner Peace, “living in a calm and peaceful place” and “finding inner peace” have the highest precentage (89.47%). On Existential aspect, “finding meaning in pain and suffering” has the highest percentage (94.74%). On Actively Giving, “becoming a loving person” has the highest percentage (89.47%). Those needs were identified as “fairly needed”, with the following mean values: Religious (2.28±0.47), Inner Peace (2.19±0.47), Existential (2.11±0,76), and Actively Giving (2.08±0,55). This study indicated all dimensions of spiritual aspects were needed by respondents and religious aspects were most needed. Key words: Cancer, patient, spiritual needs.

Prevalensi Penyakit Jantung Koroner (PJK) terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya dan menjadi masalah kesehatan utama di masyarakat saat ini. PJK berdampak terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan penderitanya baik fisik, psikososial maupun spiritual yang berpengaruh terhadap kualitas hidup pasien. Isu kualitas hidup dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan didalamnya belum tergambar jelas di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor yang memengaruhi kualitas hidup pada pasien PJK yang sedang menjalani rawat jalan. Faktor-faktor yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini meliputi jenis kelamin, tingkat penghasilan, revaskularisasi jantung, rehabilitasi jantung, kecemasan, depresi dan kesejahteraan spiritual. Kecemasan diukur dengan Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale, depresi diukur dengan Beck Depression Inventory II, kesejahteraan spiritual diukur dengan kuesioner Spirituality Index of Well-Beingdan kualitas hidup diukur menggunakan Seattle Angina Questionnaire. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kuantitatif deskriptif dan analitik multivariatedengan regresi logistic. Diteliti pada 100 responden yang diambil secara randomdalam kurun waktu 1 bulan di Poli Jantung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor yang memengaruhi kualitas hidup pada pasien PJK adalah cemas (p) 0,002; Odd Ratio(OR) 4,736 (95% confidence interval(CI), 1,749 – 12,827); depresi (p) 0,003; OR 5,450 ( 95% CI, 1,794 – 16,562); dan revaskularisasi (p) 0,033; OR 3,232 (95% CI, 1,096 – 9,528). Depresi menjadi faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kualitas hidup pasien PJK. Faktor yang memengaruhi kualitas hidup pada pasien PJK meliputi depresi, cemas dan revaskularisasi. Dari ketiga variabel tersebut depresi merupakan variabel yang paling signifikan berpengaruh, sehingga manajemen untuk mencegah depresi perlu mendapatkan perhatian lebih baik lagi dalam discharge planningataupun rehabilitasi jantung. Factors Influenced the Quality of Life among Patients Diagnosed with Coronary Heart Disease Abstract Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) has affected multidimensional aspects of human live nowadays. Yet, quality of life and factors associated with quality of life among people who live with heart disease has not been explored in Indonesia. This study aimed to identify factors influenced the quality of life among people with CHD received outpatient services. Those factors are gender, income, revascularization, cardiac rehabilitation, anxiety, depression and spiritual well-being. Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale was used to measure anxiety where depression level measured using Beck Depression Inventory II. Spirituality index was used to measure spiritual well-being. The quality of life level was measured using the Seattle Angina Questionnaire. This study used quantitative descriptive with multivariate analysis using logistic regression. 100 respondents were randomly selected from the Cardiac Outpatient Unit. Findings indicated factors influenced the quality of life of CHD patients using a significance of ƿ-value < 0.005 were: anxiety (ƿ=0,002, OR = 4,736, 95% CI, 1,749 – 12,827); depression (ƿ=0,003; OR=5,450, 95% CI, 1,794 – 16,562); and revascularizations (ƿ=0,033; OR=3,232, 95% CI, 1,096 – 9,528). Depression was considered as the most significant factor; therefore, managing depression is a priority in the discharge planning or cardiac rehabilitation programme. Penyakit kardiovaskular yang menjadi penyebab utama kematian nomor satu di dunia adalah hipertensi. Hipertensi yang tidak terkontrol akan menyebabkan terjadinya komplikasi sehingga salah satu upaya untuk mencegahnya adalah dengan pengendalian hipertensi. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan perawatan diri (self-care) hipertensi sehingga kualitas hidup dan derajat kesehatan pasien akan meningkat. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pengendalian hipertensi ini memerlukan keterlibatan unsur masyarakat, salah satunya kader. Agar kader mampu berperan serta dalam mendampingi dan mendukung pasien dalam self-care hipertensi, diperlukan adanya suatu kemampuan dan motivasi yang kuat untuk melaksanakannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi motivasi kader dalam mengkaji self-care pasien hipertensi. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 37 orang kader kesehatan yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi aktif sebagai kader. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuisioner motivasi. Analisis data menggunakan distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kader dalam mengkaji self-care pasien hipertensi hampir setengahnya berada pada kategori tinggi dan sebagian besar berada pada kategori rendah. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besari dari kader memiliki motivasi yang rendah dalam mengkaji self-care pasien hipertensi. Sehingga perlu adanya pelatihan khusus dari pihak puskesmas mengenai self-care pada pasien hipertensi. Uncontrolled hypertension will cause complications, so that efforts are needed to prevent it, one of which is by controlling hypertension. Control of hypertension can be done with self-care, so that it can improve the health status and quality of life of patients.In its implementation, controlling hypertension involves community elements, one of which is a health cadre. There needs to be strong motivation and ability from cadres to be able to participate in helping and supporting patients in self-care. This study aimed to identify health cadre motivation in studying self-care for hypertensive patients. It used a descriptive quantitative approach. Participant consisted of 37 health cadre, acquired through purposuve sampling with inclusion criteria is active as cadre. Motivation was measured using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution. The results showed that cadre motivation in studying self-care for hypertensive patients wa in the high category (48.6%) and in the low category (51.4%). Can be concluded that most of cadres have low motivation in studying self-care for hypertensive patients. There needs to be training from health center regarding self-care in hypertensive patients. Latar Belakang: Kemajuan teknologi yang semakin canggih dalam dunia pendidikan keperawatan membuat Computer Based Test (CBT) dijadikan sebagai salah satu metode ujian. Dalam menghadapi ujian mahasiswa keperawatan rentan mengalami kecemasan. Kecemasan yang dialami memiliki tingkatan yang berbeda-beda pada setiap individu. Kecemasan dapat memberikan dampak pada berbagai aspek. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa keperawatan dalam menghadapi ujian berbasis Computer Based Test Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deksriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional . Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu institusi keperawatan di Jawa Barat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 239 orang responden yang dipilih menggunakan metode stratified random sampling . Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Analisa data dengan univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dalam bentuk persentase dan bivariat untuk menguji korelasi dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square dan Rank Spearman Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 26.4% mahasiswa tidak mengalami kecemasan, 27.6% mahasiswa mengalami kecemasan ringan, 32,2% mahasiswa mengalami kecemasan sedang, 13.0% mahasiswa mengalami kecemasan berat, dan 0.8% mahasiswa mengalami kecemasan sangat berat. Latar Belakang: Kecemasan pada pasien sindrom koroner akut (SKA) yang menjalani rawat jalan masih sedikit diteliti, padahal kecemasan pada pasien rawat jalan merupakan hal yang penting untuk dikaji karena pasien berada di rumah dan jauh dari fasilitas kesehatan. Beberapa konsep menyatakan bahwa kecemasan pada pasien SKA dapat memperburuk keadaan jantung, namun demikian bagaimana kaitan antara cemas dengan frekuensi angina masih belum banyak diteliti. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan kecemasan dengan frekuensi angina pada pasien SKA. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah correlational study . Penelitian dilakukan di Poliklinik Jantung di satu Rumah Sakit di Jawa Barat. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 responden dengan SKA yang di ambil menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunaan kuesioner ZSAS dan SAQ selama satu bulan, kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan korelasi Rank Spearman . Hasil: Mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat kecemasan normal dan frekuensi angina minimal. Sedangkan responden yang mengalami cemas berat sebesar 3% dan mengalami frekuensi angina berat sebesar 8%.Hasil perhitungan p-value sebesar 0,00 yang lebih kecil dari α (0,05) dan r -0,508 maka terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kecemasan dengan frekuensi angina. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan dengan frekuensi angina pada pasien dengan SKA. Semakin tinggi tingkat kecemasan seseorang maka frekuensi angina semakin berat.

We often found emergency condition on children in elementary school which can lead death. Teachers should have good knowledge and favorable attitude toward first aid so they can give right intervention on emergency condition. The objective of this activity was to improve attitude and knowledge of elementary school teachers toward it. This activity be held on training program includes lecture, discussion, and practice. Result showed there was any improvement of elementary school teachers’ attitude and knowledge score. Reevaluation and retraining should be held to improve significant score of teachers’ attitude and knowledge so do their skill toward first aid on children emergency condition in elementary school. The high and varied disasters occur in Indonesia, requiring the government and the whole community to be ready for disaster. In the Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), there is a group of students who do extracurricular activities to provide health aid called PNC. Training needs to be done to enhance the role of PNC as well as increasing the participation of students in the disaster relief program. This training resulted in increased knowledge and attitudes of PNC members on disaster management, and also increased the knowledge and attitude related to the role and function of students in disaster management effort. In addition, other additional results related to the effectiveness of training methods for PNC members successfully obtained. The methods compared were lecture and discussion (LD) compared with LD plus simulation and FGD methods. It is measured by using the quasi experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. Data analysis used Mann Whitney test. The result showed that there was no difference in knowledge and attitude (p = 1,000) in both treatment groups (p = 0,424).
