In contrast to electromagnetic fields, static magnetic fields (SMFs) have not been extensively studied in terms of their potential health consequences. Although upward- and downward-oriented magnetic poles may cause various biological effects, only the pole with the upward orientation has been mainly investigated. Considering that the interaction of antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and T lymphocytes is crucial to trigger an immune response, we assessed the effect of long-term exposure of human T lymphocytes and dendritic cells (DCs) to moderate strength SMFs of different orientations focusing on the cytokine profile of activated T cells. Cultures of allogenic T lymphocytes and DCs (immature and matured by TLR3 and TLR7 agonists) were continuously exposed to four SMFs. The intensity of the applied field was 1 militesla (mT) or 56 mT of the upward- and downward-oriented pole of the SMF. Cell culture supernatants were assayed for IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-17, TNF-α, TNF-β, IL-1 β, IL-6, IL-8, and IL-10 by ELISA or flow cytometry. The upward-oriented 56 mT SMF significantly increased the release of IFN-γ and TNF-β (both p < 0.05) in the cell culture supernatants of T cells and immature DCs. In contrast, the same cultures exposed to the upward-oriented 1 mT SMF showed significantly elevated levels of IL-17 (p < 0.05). The levels of IL-4, TNF-α, IL-1 β, IL-6, IL-8, and IL-10 were not affected by the upward-oriented SMF. The downward-oriented 56 mT SMF increased TNF-α release when T cells were stimulated with mature DCs. The production of other cytokines was unchanged by the downward-oriented SMF. These findings demonstrate for the first time different in vitro biological effects of upward- and downward-oriented static magnetic fields on the cytokine production of T cells activated by DCs, helping to better understand SMF effects on the immune system and suggesting that the selective SMF effect on the immune response could have potential therapeutic effects in different immune-mediated disorders. Introduction/Objective. During the past 20 years, there have been numerous attempts to design and apply a simple, affordable blood analysis tool for diagnostic and prognostic purposes in psychiatry. In this article we demonstrate that some mathematical parameters of chromatin organization and distribution in blood neutrophil granulocytes are related to stress levels in patients diagnosed with recurrent depressive disorder (RDD). Methods. The study was performed on 50 RDD participants who were asked to complete Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales (DASS-21). Peripheral blood samples were obtained from all the participants, smeared on glass slides and stained using a modification of Giemsa method. A total of 500 representative chromatin structures (10 per patient) of neutrophil granulocytes were evaluated using textural analysis with the application of gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) method. Parameters such as angular second moment (indicator of textural uniformity), inverse difference moment (textural homogeneity), and textural sum variance were calculated. Results. The results indicate that there is a statistically highly significant correlation (p < 0.01) between certain chromatin GLCM parameters such as inverse difference moment, and DASS-21 stress score. There was also a significant difference (p < 0.05) in some chromatin GLCM parameters in patients diagnosed with RDD with psychotic features, when compared to the ones without psychosis. Conclusion. These findings suggest that in the future, chromatin GLCM features might have a certain predictive value for some clinical features of recurrent depressive disorder.

Introduction/Objective. Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are characterized by the appearance of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction of the masticatory system. The aims of this study were to evaluate the salivary cortisol levels in students with chronic myofascial pain (MFP) related to TMD during oral exam, as well as to analyze the correlation between salivary cortisol levels, TMD-related MFP, the level of anxiety, depression symptoms, somatization, and perceived stress. Methods. The study included 60 university students, who were allocated either into the group of students with MFP (n = 30) or into the control group of healthy students (n = 30). The level of salivary cortisol was measured on the exam day and during the control day when the students had no exams. Depression symptoms, somatization, perceived stress and anxiety were evaluated according to Axis II RDC/TMD, Perceived Stress Scale and State–Trait Anxiety Inventory. Results. Levels of salivary cortisol were significantly higher in the group of students with MFP in all phases of measurements compared to the control group (p < 0.01). Students with MFP also showed significantly higher depression symptoms, somatization, and trait anxiety scores than the control group. No significant group differences were found on the scales measuring state anxiety and perceived stress. The level of salivary cortisol was found to be in correlation with depression symptoms, state anxiety, and perceived stress, but not with chronic pain, somatization, and trait anxiety in students with TMD. Conclusion. Salivary cortisol could be an important indicator of psychological distress in TMD.

Background/Aim. Tuberculosis (TB) is a major cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide, affecting different countries disproportionally. Effective diagnosis and treatment of TB saved an estimated 43 million lives between 2000 and 2014. The aim of our study was to show sociodemographic influences, risk factors for the morbidity and clinical characteristics of tuberculosis among residents of northern Kosovo, Serbia, between two decades at the beginning of the 21st century. Methods. A prospective study was conducted at the Department for Pulmonology of the Clinical-health Centre, Kosovska Mitrovica, included all tuberculosis patients treated during two three-year periods, between 2000–2002 and 2012–2014. In total, 134 patients with tuberculosis were treated, 91 in the first observed period and 43 in the second period. Results. In both observed periods, male patients suffered from tuberculosis more frequently. In the first observed period, younger and middle age (18–49) persons suffered from tuberculosis more frequently (p = 0.014). In relation to the place of residence, in the first reporting period there were more patients from urban areas, while in the second, there were significantly more patients from rural areas (p = 0.008). In the second observed period, TB was significantly more associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (p = 0.001) and comorbidities with TB were significantly more frequent (p = 0.006). During the 2000–2002 period, there were more severe clinical forms, with severe radiological changes, bilateral parenchymal and cavernous forms (p = 0.08). Mild unilateral parenchymal lesions were more common in the last 3 years (p = 0.02). Conclusion. Social determinants, older age and comorbidities are the most important risk factors for the persistent number of patients, and therefore this target group needs attention during active approach in TB screening.

Background: Frequent episodes of nasal symptoms are the usual clinical manifestations (CM) of allergic rhinitis (AR) and have a significant negative impact on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in adolescents. The purpose of this cross-sectional study was to test the hypothesis that cytokines in nasal mucus may be associated with HRQoL in adolescents with AR. Methods: European Quality of Life 5 Dimensions 3 Level Version (EQ-5D-3L), "The Adolescent Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire" (AdolRQLQ) and the Total 4 Symptom Score (T4SS) scoring system were administered to 113 adolescents with AR, nonallergic rhinitis (NAR) and to healthy control subjects. Nasal secretions were sampled and tested for 13 cytokines using a multiplex flow cytometric bead assay. Results: The AR group had significantly lower EQ-5D-3L (0.661 ± 0.267 vs. 0.943 ± 0.088; p < 0.001) and higher AdolRQLQ total scores (2.76 ± 1.01 vs. 1.02 ± 0.10; p < 0.001) compared to the control group. The AR group had higher concentrations of IL-1β (p = 0.002), IL-6 (p = 0.031), IL-8 (p < 0.001), IL17-A (p = 0.013) and IL-18 (p = 0.014) compared to the control group, and IL-1β, IL-6, IL17-A and IL-18 were significantly (p < 0.050) increased with disease progression. Cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, as well as severe CM, were identified as significant predictors of lower HRQoL in adolescents with AR. Conclusions: This study identified IL-1β, IL-6, as well as severe CM, as predictors of lower HRQoL in adolescents with AR. However, these results should only serve as a starting point for additional confirmation research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction. Vascular calcifications (VC) are common in patients with chronic kidney disease and present one of manifestations of mineral and bone disorders in these patients. Objective. The aim of this pilot study was to examine the prevalence and risk factors of VC in pre-dialysis patients with Balkan endemic nephropathy (BEN) and other kidney diseases. Methods. The study involved 32 pre-dialysis patients, 15 with BEN and 17 with other kidney diseases. All the patients underwent an interview, objective examination, routine laboratory analyses and measurement of serum concentration of intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH), 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 [25(OH)D3] and osteopontin. VCs in iliac, femoral, radial, and digital arteries were evaluated and Adragao VC score was calculated. The samples of radial artery were collected during the first creation of an arteriovenous fistula, and expression of osteocalcin, bone morphogenic protein-2 osteopontin, and matrix Gla-protein in arterial wall were examined. Results. Patients with BEN were significantly older (71.1 ± 6.1 vs. 54.7 ± 11.1 years), but they had significantly lower systolic and mean blood pressure (95.7 ± 13.2 mmHg vs. 104.3 ± 7.4 mmHg) and lower serum concentration of phosphorus (1.32 ± 0.36 mmol/l vs. 1.65 ± 0.35 mmol/l) and cholesterol (4.3 ± 1.1 mmol/l vs. 5.2 ± 0.8 mmol/l) than patients with other kidney diseases. Mean VC score was significantly lower in patients with BEN than in those with other kidney diseases (2.8 ± 1.7 vs. 4.6 ± 1.8; p = 0.009), but expression of four examined proteins in arterial wall differed insignificantly between the two groups. VC score correlated significantly with serum concentrations of cholesterol, triglycerides (positively), and iPTH (negatively). Conclusion. Pre-dialysis BEN patients had a significantly lower mean score of VC than patients with other kidney diseases. [Projekat Ministarstva nauke Republike Srbije, br. 175025]

Background/Aim. The cell line C6 is a continuous cell line of rat glioma and, as a transplantable line, is frequently used for induction into in vivo model of primary brain tumor. It is believed that, pursuant to its histological traits and biological behavior, this experimental tumor corresponds to human anaplastic astrocytoma of grade II/III, which is characterized by proliferative and invasive potency, and marked cell differentiation. The aim of this study was to determine macroscopic analysis of rat brain with implanted tumor during tumorigenesis, histological features of tumor cells of induced brain tumor and markers of proliferation (proliferation cell nuclear antigen - PCNA, cytokeratin - CK 19) and differentiation (glial fibrillary acidic protein -GFAP) in rat brain with implanted tumor. Methods. To determine histological structure of the brain with implanted C6 cells, we used brain sections stained for hematoxylin-eosin or kresyl violet, whereas other sections were immunohistochemically stained for GFAP, CK 19 and PCNA. Results. A statistically significant difference in weights of the left and right brain hemispheres with implanted tumors during tumorigenesis in as soon as 7 days from the day of inducing tumors was revealed. The tumor was of cellular type, with distinct pleomorphism of cells and frequent hyperchromasia of the nucleus. Immunohistochemical staining for PCNA revealed a significant number of positive cells on the days 7, 14 and 21 day following the implantation of C6 cells. CK 19 positive cells were present in both brain hemispheres, and numerous GFAP positive astrocytes were found around the puncture lesion. Conclusions. Within the experimental conditions of the present research, C6 glioma did not demonstrate any relevant deviations concerning development, clinical symptomatology and macroscopic anatomy relative to those already described in the literature.

Background/Aim. Speech motor mechanisms play a crucial role in the process of demutization, due to the fact that they cover all the elements of the successive development of spech production movements leading to speech formation (socalled kinesthesia in speach). The aim of this study was to estimate the impact of perceptual motor actions on the cognitive process of reading in 130 students in regular schools and schools for the deaf and hard-of-hearing children in the Republic of Serbia. Methods. Kostić and Vladisavljević test consisted of the ten levels weight was used for the assessment of reading speed. To assess understanding of text read by verbal responses, we used three-dimensional adapted reading test of Helene Sax. Results. The triage-articulation test for assessing reading speed (Kostić and Vladisavljević’s test according to the weight of ten levels, revealed that students in regular schools statistically significantly faster read texts as compared to the deaf students. The results of the threedimensional adapted reading test of Helena Sax, show that the words learned by deaf children exist in isolation in their mind, ie, if there is no standard of acoustic performance for graphic image, in deaf child every word, printed or written, is just the sum of letters without meaning. Conclusion. There is a significant difference in text reading speed and its understanding among the children who hear and the deaf and hard of-hearing children. It is essential that in deaf and heard-of hearing children education, apart from the development of speech, parallelly use the concept of semantic processing in order to get each word by the fullness of its content and the possibility of expanding its meaning in a variety of assets.

Background/Aim. The most sensitive indicators for detecting recurrence of well-differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) are 131I whole body scintigraphy (WBS) and measurement of serum thyroglobulin (Tg). In order to perform it, it is necessary to raise the level of endogenous tiroidstimulating hormon (TSH), which can be achieved by Lthyroxine withdrawal for 3-5 weeks or administration of recombinant human thyrotropin (rhTSH) without requiring the discontinuation of thyroid hormone therapy. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of rhTSH using in comparison to the traditional thyroid hormone withdrawal in the follow-up of patients with DTC. Methods. This retrospective study included 44 patients, mean age 48.8 years, with DTC divided into 2 groups. The group I consisted of patients (n = 31) in which the analysis in the follow-up (WBS with 131I, TSH, Tg and antiTgAt) made in the hypothyroid state, and group II patients (n = 13) in which they made after the administration of rhTSH. The presence of 13 symptoms and signs of hypothyroidism was investigated on the day of giving 131I. Quality of life was evaluated using a modified form: the quality of life scale (SF-36) completed on the day of giving 131I. Results. In both groups, serum TSH reached a very good stimulation level, but significantly higher in the group II (group I 30.3-101.5 µlU/mL, group II 68.6-192.0 µlU/mL, p < 0.05). In both groups, TSHstimulated Tg was higher (group I 0.1-546.0 ng/mL, group II 0.1-7517 ng/mL) comapred to value during the Lthyroxine therapy (group I 0.1-495.0 ng/mL, group II 0.1- 2785 ng/mL). There was no difference in technical quality of WBS obtained from both groups. The patients in the group I had attended 8-13 symptoms of hypothyroidism, while patients in group II did not have symptoms of hypothyroidism. The patients after application of rhTSH, showed statistically significantly better quality of life as compared with those who showed to have L-thyroxine withdrawal, (74-91 points vs 43-62 points; p < 0.05). The rhTSH was well tolerated, with nausea occurring in only one patient. Conclusion. Administration of rhTSH in the follow- up of patients with DTC prevents the debilitating effects of hypothyroidism contributing to the maintenance of metabolic homeostasis of the organism and preserves the quality of life. RhTSH is safe, effective and easy to use, but is still an expensive product in our country.

Large bone defects in the jaws can occur as a result of previous trauma, tumor or bone destruction caused by infection. Significant loss of bone volume also may be caused by premature loss of teeth, application of inadequate extraction technique, periodontitis or trauma caused by incorrect prosthetic reconstruction. Very few of these defects are treated using materials for bone augmentation or regeneration in order to preserve the total volume of bone. Depending on the size of a defect, spontaneous bone regeneration of untreated defects is limited by proliferation of surrounding soft tissue. Bone replacement by connective tissue leads to loss of stability, reduces function and disturbs anatomical form of the jaws. The aim of the study was to present a case from clinical praxis which demonstrates bone regeneration provided by bone substitute or its combination with bone grafts.

An experiment was performed under in vivo conditions on bone marrow cells of Wistar rats. The following doses of levamisole hydrochloride were tested: a therapeutic dose of 2.2 mg/kg bm, a dose of 4.4 mg/kg bm, LD50 -25% mg/kg bm, and LD50 -75% mg/kg bm. We followed the effect of levamisole hydrochloride on kinetics of the cell cycle and the appearance of structural and numeric changes in chromosomes in bone marrow cells. The therapeutic dose of levamisole of 2.2 mg/kg bm exhibited a capability to increase mitotic activity in the observed cells, thus confirming knowledge of the immunostimulative effect of this dose of the medicine under in vivo conditions. The other tested doses of levamisole in this experiment, observed in comparison with the control group, had an opposite effect, namely, they caused a reduction in the mitotic activity of bone marrow cells. All the examined doses in vivo exhibited the ability to induce numeric (aneuploid and polyploid) and structural (lesions, breaks and insertions) chromosomal aberrations. It can be concluded on the grounds of these findings that the examined doses have a genotoxic effect.

- Abstract
In 2012, alcohol liver disease resulted in 3.3 million—5.9% of global deaths. This study introduced whey protection capacity against chronic alcohol-induced liver injury. Rats were orally administered to 12% ethanol solution in water (ad libitum, average 8.14 g of ethanol/kg body weight (b.w.)/day) alone or combined with whey (per os, 2 g/kg b.w./day). After 6-week treatment, chronic ethanol consumption induced significant histopathological liver changes: congestion, central vein dilation, hepatic portal vein branch dilation, Kupffer cells hyperplasia, fatty liver changes, and hepatocytes focal necrosis. Ethanol significantly increased liver catalase activity and glutathione reductase protein expression without significant effects on antioxidative enzymes: glutathione peroxidase (GPx), copper–zinc-containing superoxide dismutase (CuZnSOD) and manganese-containing superoxide dismutase (MnSOD). Co-treatment with whey significantly attenuated pathohistological changes induced by ethanol ingestion and increased GSH-Px and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) protein expression. Our results showed positive effects of whey on liver chronically exposed to ethanol, which seem to be associated with NF-κB-GPx signaling. © The Author(s) 2019.

Introduction Vascular calcifications (VC) are common in patients with chronic kidney disease and present one of manifestations of mineral and bone disorders in these patients. Objective The aim of this pilot study was to examine the prevalence and risk factors of VC in pre-dialysis patients with Balkan endemic nephropathy (BEN) and other kidney diseases. Methods The study involved 32 pre-dialysis patients, 15 with BEN and 17 with other kidney diseases. Results Patients with BEN were significantly older (71.1 ± 6.1 vs. Conclusion Pre-dialysis BEN patients had a significantly lower mean score of VC than patients with other kidney diseases.

- Abstract
U radu su prikazani principi i savremene mogućnosti tehnika vizuelizacije moždanih funkcija – funkcionalnog neuroimidžinga, prvenstveno PET (pozitron emisiona tomografija) i fMRI (funkcionalni magnetski imidžing - BOLD) mozga, u identifikovanju kortikalnih područja uključenih u govorne funkcije. Takođe su prikazani su i rezultati istraživanja hemisferne specijalizacije - dominacije govornih funkcija, budući da su procesi uključeni u govornu komunikaciju rijetko prisutni u obje moždane hemisfere, a leksičko i gramatičko znanje takođe pokazuje hemisfernu specijalizaciju., This paper aims at presenting the principles and possibilities of modern technology in visualization of brain function - functional neuroimaging, especially PET (positron emission tomography) and fMRI (functional magnetic imaginging) brain, in identifying cortical areas involved in speech function. Functional neuroimaging techniques take vizuelisation of brain areas while subject performs a certain task, then fall into activating brain studies. Neural activity in brain regions involved in the execution of certain tasks will change and thus changes and energy consumption as well as the flow of blood in the region, which marks the activation or deactivation of neurons in this area. We described the classic model of neurobiological basic of voice functions known as Broce-Wernicke-Lichtheim model. Also we described, new, much more detailed models of neurobiological basis of speech functions, including their cognitive components: model Price, model Friederici, Hickok and Poeppel model, Model Indefrey and Levelt and modern 6-component model. We shown some recent results of recent research of visualization of cortical areas related to speech function. Also we shown results of research in specialization or hemisferic-domination of speech functions, since the processes involved in oral communication is rarely present in both brain hemispheric, and lexical and grammatical knowledge also shows hemisfernu specialization to.

In the paper, we presented results of the research of emotional empathy of students who are being educated for “helping professions” – students of Medicine, Special Education, Health Service and Theology – Faculty of Foča (Republika Srpska). The research included 297 interviewees of both genders. For the empathy studying, we used the adjusted »Questionnaire for Measuring Emotional Empathy « (QMEE). There is a finding that there is statistically significant difference in the respect of emotional empathy among the candidates of different studying programmes, but that this difference does not exist when compare students of the first, fourth and sixth year of studies, and this point to the fact that during studies there is no further development of emotional empathy of students.

Problem of detection, keeping records, monitoring and guidance of children with disabilities in Republika Srpska is complex. Institutionalized and professional relationship between health, child welfare, education and social protection has not been established yet. These problems have led to: stagnation in the early detection of disabilities in children and therefore the late inclusion in the appropriate rehabilitation programs; low coverage of children with pre-school and primary education as well as professional training and delays in development of institutional network, which should involve institutions specialized in dealing with disabled children. We approached this problem through scientific research project “Detection, Determination and Monitoring of Children with Disabilities in Republika Srpska”, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Republic of Serbia. The objectives of this research are: detection of children with developmental disabilities, their recording, and establishing of periodic monitoring. In order to finish the first objective of this research, quality analysis of the current legislation in Republika Srpska, regarding children with disabilities, was carried out. Those are: the Law on Social Protection, the Law on Child Protection, the Law on Primary Education, Health Care Law and Regulation regarding Classification of people with disabilities in the physical and mental development. Grounded on processed data, in the municipality of Foca, we recorded 37 children with disabilities with recorded opinion of expert committee. Out of those 37, eleven children were located in two elementary schools. In addition to these children, in two regular schools in Foca there are 24 children with disabilities, but without opinion of expert committee. Those are the children with: impairment of voice, speech or language 12 (50%), chronic disease 4 (16,66%), visual impairment 3 (12,50%), mild mental retardation 3 (12,50%), physical impairment 1 (4,16%) and behavioral disorders 1 (4,16%).

- Abstract
The nature of mental disorders, the attitudes and prejudices of the social community towards psychiatric patients, the behavior and treatment of mental patients, all bring about numerous dilemmas and prejudices. When a patient is diagnosed with a mental disorder, he may suffer restrictions in the field of general human rights. However, the biggest problems in clinical practice occur in the treatment of patients who, besides their mental disorder also have a somatic disease. We report a 56-years-old female with a severe renal failure who refused to undergo dialysis. Following the patient's refusal to sign an informed consent, a psychiatrist was called in for consultation and diagnosed an acute psychotic reaction. To manage the delusions and acute psychotic reactions, risperidone in the dose of 2 mg was started. After 22 days, the patient still had marked psychotic symptoms. A psychiatrist, a nephrologist and an anesthesiologist, in the presence of the spouse on the grounds of her life-threatening condition, decided to apply the necessary medical procedures even without the patient's consent. A day after the start of dialysis the patient still had delusional ideas, but without the presence of anxiety, and the patient no longer offered resistance to dialysis. Four days after the first dialysis, the patient was calm, had vague memories about the entire previous period, and signed the informed consent concerning her further treatment.

- Abstract
Background/Aim. Speech motor mechanisms play a crucial role in the process of demutization, due to the fact that they cover all the elements of the successive development of speech production movements leading to speech formation (so-called kinesthesia in speech). Results. The triage-articulation test for assessing reading speed (Kostić and Vladisavljević's test according to the weight of ten levels, revealed that students in regular schools statistically significantly faster read texts as compared to the deaf students. It is essential that in deaf and heard-of hearing children education, apart from the development of speech, parallelly use the concept of semantic processing in order to get each word by the fullness of its content and the possibility of expanding its meaning in a variety of assets., Uvod/Cilj. Motorni mehanizmi artikulacije imaju presudnu ulogu u demutazicionom procesu, jer obuhvataju sve elemente sukcesivnog nastajanja govornih pokreta koji dovode do formiranja govora (tzv. govorna kinestezija).

- Abstract
Fumagillin is an antibiotic derived from the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus. It has been used successfully for the treatment of intestinal microsporidiosis in HIV-positive humans, as well as in those suffering from intestinal amebiasis and microsporidial keratoconjunctivitis. In veterinary medicine it is approved for the treatment of microsporidiosis in bees and fish. In this research fumagillin was tested for the ability to provoke chromosomal aberrations in mouse bone marrow cells. BALB/c mice were administered fumagillin by gastric probe in doses of 5, 10 and 20 mg/kg b.w. Water-sugary syrup was the negative and cyclophosphamide (15 mg/kg b.w.) the positive control. Significantly increased frequencies (p lt 0.01 or p lt 0.001) of numerical chromosomal aberrations (aneuploidies and poliploidies) was observed both in the medium (10 mg/kg b.w.) and the highest (20 mg/kg b.w.) dose of fumagillin. Structural chromosomal aberrations (gaps, breaks and insertions) were noticeably more frequent in comparison to negative control only in the highest experimental dose of dycikloheksilamine. These results clearly showed that fumagillin in concetrations 10 and 20 mg/kg b.w. had a genotoxic potential in vivo., Fumagillin (diciklo-heksilamin) je antibiotik izolovan iz gljive Aspergillus fumigatus.

- Abstract
It can be concluded on the grounds of these findings that the examined doses have a genotoxic effect., Eksperiment je izveden u in vivo uslovima na ćelijama kostne srži pacova Wistar soja. Sve ispitivane doze in vivo pokazuju sposobnost indukcije numeričkih (aneuploidija i polipleidija) i strukturnih (lezije, prekidi i insercije) aberacija hromozoma.

The therapeutic dose of levamisole of 2.2 mg/kg bm showed the ability to increase the mitotic activity of the observed cells, thus confirming knowledge of the immunostimulative effect of this dose of the medicine under in vivo conditions. The other tested doses of levamisole in this experiment, observed in comparison with the control group, had an opposite effect, i.e. they caused a reduction in the mitotic activity of bone marrow cells. All the examined doses in vivo showed the ability of inducing numeric (aneuloid and polyploid) and structural (lesions, breaks and insertions) chromosomal aberrations. On this basis, it can be concluded that the examined doses have a genotoxic effect., Obavljena su citotoksična i genotoksična ispitivanja levamizol hidrohlorida (2.2 mg/kg, t.m., 4,4 mg/kg t.m, LD50-25% mg/kg t.m. i LD50-75% mg/kg t.m) na ćelijama kostne srži miša BALB/c soja. Sve ispitivane doze in vivo pokazuju sposobnost indukcije numeričkih (aneuploidije polipleidije) i strukturnih (lezije, prekidi i insercije) aberacija hromosoma.
