The teacher has an important role in making pupils skilled in inquiry, viz guiding them to carry out inquiry steps in science learning. However, there are obstacles to applying online learning at primary school level, especially inquiry-based science. The purpose of this research is to analyse the application of inquiry in science learning, analyse the effectiveness of e-learning based on the 2020 at the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture guidelines, and identify obstacles to implementing e-inquiry science learning at the primary level. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Sources of data were resource persons from 6 educational institutions including trainers, school supervisors, principals, teachers, Grade VI pupils, and their parents. The result showed the only a small number of teachers implemented on-line science-based inquiry learning and the effect of the learning was the utmost significance on student's achievement. However, most of primary school teachers have not applied inquiry-based methods in science learning. Several obstacles to implementing e-inquiry learning at the primary level were identified. These obstacles include the teachers did not understand how to develop an online inquiry model learning scenario, had low skills in using ICT, lack of support for ICT facilities and of e-learning inquiry learning guide, and had limited time.

Adapting the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework, this study investigates English teachers' perspectives on the intention to adopt and integrate ChatGPT in their classrooms. This study utilizes quantitative cross-sectional research with 114 respondents answering the online questionnaire. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) statistical analysis through SmartPLS 3.0 was employed to analyze the collected data. The result indicates that the proposed TAM model in this study can predict ChatGPT acceptance in English language teaching. Additionally, the structural model showed that perceived usefulness, ease of use, and attitude toward using significantly and positively influenced behavioral intention. Furthermore, attitude toward using and behavioral intention significantly and positively impacted actual system use. Teachers' perspectives on ChatGPT uptake and integration into English language learning are critical to technological innovation. This paper could assist teachers in Indonesia and comparable regions in understanding and adopting ChatGPT in English language teaching.

Education plays a very important role in improving the quality of human resources. In higher education, students need learning that is innovative and not monotonous so that learning goals can be achieved. In this research, what will be discussed further is the development of learning methods by combining 2 methods, namely Cooperative Based Learning (CBL) with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in the Advanced Financial Management course. This research method uses Pretest - Posttest Design. The data population is 711 students collected from 17 classes taking Advanced Financial Management courses at Putra Indonesia University YPTK Padang. The sampling technique uses probability sampling. The data that will be used as a sample are observations of 117 students collected from 3 classes. The CPBL method is implemented by grouping students into groups of 4-5 people to discuss each case in the material. Data will be analyzed based on the completeness of learning outcomes and calculating N-Gain. From the data processing, the results obtained were that by combining these 2 methods, it was successful in improving student learning outcomes and the students' completeness test scores were also proven to be very successful in being upgraded. The effectiveness of the collaboration between these 2 methods reaches the high category of the N-Gain test. This is a new variation in making learning calculations that use many formulas more challenging, increasing students' enthusiasm for learning and providing satisfactory learning results. This method is worth utilizing and can be used in all courses that involve calculations and case questions.

This study identifies and analyzes the processes and differences in distance learning implementation between city and village schools in Indonesia and Malaysia. Characteristics of students and teachers, distance learning facilities, ability to use technology, and parent's role in the learning process will be analyzed in depth. This research will simultaneously hypothesize the link between these factors and student learning independence. This research is a mixed methods research that combines qualitative research that using observation and interview techniques and quantitative methods that using questionnaire technique. This research was conducted on elementary school students in Indonesia and Malaysia located in rural and urban areas, with a total sample of 240 students ranging from low to high grades. Apart from students, as many as 60 school academics consisting of principals, teachers, and staff were also interviewed to obtain more comprehensive data and data triangulation. Quantitative data were analyzed using a qualitative-quantitative descriptive method where the qualitative statements in the questionnaire were converted into quantitative data, while qualitative data were analyzed using an interactive model mentioned by Miles & Huberman (2014). The study results show that the distance learning implementation between city and village schools experiences a slight difference with the rapid development of information technology. Of the four aspects studied, there are aspects in which village schools are superior to city schools. These four aspects are also investigated for their influence on student learning independence so that further research can be carried out regarding the correlation of these aspects to student learning independence.

Background: Dementia is a cognitive decline that leads to the progressive deterioration of an individual's ability to perform daily activities independently. As a result, a considerable amount of time and resources are spent on caretaking. Early detection of dementia can significantly reduce the effort and resources needed for caretaking. Aims: This research proposes an approach for assessing cognitive decline by analysing speech data, specifically focusing on speech relevance as a crucial indicator for memory recall. Methods & Procedures: This is a cross-sectional, online, self-administered. The proposed method used deep learning architecture based on transformers, with BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) and Sentence-Transformer to derive encoded representations of speech transcripts. These representations provide contextually descriptive information that is used to analyse the relevance of sentences in their respective contexts. The encoded information is then compared using cosine similarity metrics to measure the relevance of uttered sequences of sentences. The study uses the Pitt Corpus Dementia dataset for experimentation, which consists of speech data from individuals with and without dementia. The accuracy of the proposed multi-QA-MPNet (Multi-Query Maximum Inner Product Search Pretraining) model is compared with other pretrained transformer models of Sentence-Transformer. Outcomes & Results: The results show that the proposed approach outperforms the other models in capturing context level information, particularly semantic memory. Additionally, the study explores the suitability of different similarity measures to evaluate the relevance of uttered sequences of sentences. The experimentation reveals that cosine similarity is the most appropriate measure for this task. Conclusions & Implications: This finding has significant implications for the early warning signs of dementia, as it suggests that cosine similarity metrics can effectively capture the semantic relevance of spoken language. The persistent cognitive decline over time acts as one of the indicators for prevalence of dementia. Additionally early dementia could be recognised by analysis on other modalities like speech and brain images.

The current research trend of metacognitive regulation has shifted from an individual to a social context. One such social context is collaborative problem-solving. Interaction between group members is an essential factor in completing collaborative problems. Metacognitive regulation is divided into four forms based on the interaction in collaborative problem-solving. This study aims to analyze the emergence and form of metacognitive regulation in groups that are more and less successful at solving geometric problems collaboratively. Each group consists of two undergraduate students who have taken geometry courses. The group tries to solve geometry problems in the form of proof problems. This study examines how metacognitive regulation emerges in group discussion activities. The emergence of metacognitive regulations was identified through student utterances when discussing in groups. In addition, interview data support researchers in exploring metacognitive regulation carried out by groups. This study also identifies forms of metacognitive regulation that occur when groups interact. The study results showed differences in the metacognitive regulation activity in four aspects: orientation, planning, monitoring, and evaluation. The more successful group has a form of co-constructed social metacognitive regulation. In contrast, the less successful group has a form of ignored social metacognitive regulation.

Facing the post-COVID-19 pandemic, teachers need to enhance technology in their teaching and learning process, especially in delivering the materials for the students. As digital natives, students are familiar with technology, and it makes them excited in learning English materials. Academic writing materials are complex because it involves expressing ideas carefully elaborated, and well-supported, logically sequenced, rigorously reasoned, and tightly stitched together. Powtoon is one of the solutions to make the materials more interesting and understandable for the students in academic writing class. This study aims to know the students' perspectives and challenges about the use of Powtoon as digital learning media to improve writing skills. The subjects are 37 students in English Department in one of the state universities in Indonesia. The method is qualitative by using questionnaire, interview, and documentation. It is found that the students have positive perceptions (76.92%) on the use of Powtoon as digital learning media to improve writing skills. Hence, Powtoon is recommended as digital learning media to improve the students' writing skills. However, the motion of the animation could distract student's concentration in understanding the materials. Apart from that, students still need to ask directly to the teacher if they have not really understood about the materials presented using Powtoon.

Learning activities need to facilitate vocational students in learning independently. It certainly has an impact on students' low understanding and skills. This research aims to develop Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) for Vocational Education. This type of research is development research. The development model used is the ADDIE model. The subjects of this research consisted of 2 learning design experts, 2 learning media experts, and 2 learning materials experts, as well as practical tests carried out by 2 teachers. Individual trials were carried out on 3 students, and small group trials were carried out on 12 students. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data analysis techniques for this research are qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research, namely the assessment given by learning material experts, obtained an average of 96.5%. It was concluded that the MALL developed had very valid qualifications. The results of the learning media expert assessment were 97%, so the qualification was very valid. The results of the assessment given by the teacher were an average of 96%. The results of individual trials were 95.6%, and small group results were 94.7% (very good). It was concluded that the mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) developed had very good and practical qualifications, so it was suitable for use in English language learning.

Creative thinking skills are recognised 21 century skills. This study aimed to determine whether students' creative thinking skills in biochemistry courses are improved through scaffolding-based problem-based learning. The study employed a mixed methods approach with a sample of 113 chemistry education programme students at Jambi University. An observation sheet instrument was used to gauge students' creative thinking skills during learning, test questions were used to gauge them after the implementation of Problem Based-learning, and an interview instrument was used to see how students responded once PBL learning had been implemented. Descriptive statistical testing techniques were applied to data between classes. It was found that there were significant differences in students' creative thinking skills after scaffolding-based PBL learning had been carried out. The biochemistry learning process was found to be conducive to scaffolding in problem-based learning. Providing scaffolding in problem-based learning also has a positive impact on students because this study proves that students become more active learners in education because the problem-solving process requires students to express opinions and exchange ideas.

Online learning is enforced by all higher education in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is an inability of students to manage time and often delay the work given by the lecturer. This study aimed to reveal the degree of relationship between student time management and academic procrastination in higher education. This research was conducted at the Psychology Faculty of the University Puta Indonesia YPTK Padang, Indonesia. The sample of this research was psychology students as many as 202 respondents. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The results showed that the level of correlation between time management and academic procrastination of psychology students was 0.242 with data processing using SPSS 26. Which means that there is a relationship between students' ability to manage time and delay in completing assignments by students of the faculty of psychology. The role of lecturers in providing direction and motivation to students is very much needed.

Controlled/slow-release fertilizers (CSRF) continue to be developed because of the need to increase agricultural productivity and reduce the economic, social, and environmental impacts of conventional fertilizers leaching into nature. Additionally, the use of biodegradable polymers as CSRF materials continues to be a priority in CSRF development. Therefore, this review synthesizes the current research on lignin- and polysaccharide-based CSRFs and emphasize their compatibility and performance in agricultural applications. Lignin, an abundant and renewable biopolymer, was evaluated for its effectiveness as a slow-release agent in CSRF. Studies have demonstrated the potential of lignin to improve nutrient release profiles and environmental sustainability when used alone or in combination with other polymers. Polysaccharides, which are known for their biocompatibility and biodegradability, have also been explored. The incorporation of lignin into polysaccharide-based CSRFs has been highlighted, particularly in starch, cellulose, chitosan, and sodium alginate matrices. These composites offer improved mechanical properties, controlled nutrient release, and enhanced soil water retention. The challenges and future directions regarding lignin- and polysaccharide-based CSRF are also reviewed. These findings underscore the importance of developing sustainable fertilizer technologies to meet future food demands while mitigating environmental impacts.

Objective: This study aims to examine the impact of working capital management on profitability of go-public ASEAN-5 food and beverage companies. Design/Methods/Approach: This study employs multiple linear regression analysis on secondary financial data of go-public ASEAN-5 food and beverage companies from 2017-2022. The sample for the research is deliberately chosen through purposive sampling technique. Findings: The results indicate that the cash conversion cycle (CCC), receivable conversion period (RCP), and accounts payable period (APP) have a significant negative impact on profitability, proxied by return on assets (ROA), while the inventory conversion period (ICP) has a positive effect on profitability. Originality/Value: This study uniquely explores the food and beverage sector in the ASEAN-5 region with adding the dimension of crisis, COVID-19 pandemic. Practical/Policy implication: Based on the results, food and beverage sector managers should be more careful in making investment decisions regarding inventory, especially during a crisis. Also, maintaining good trade relations with suppliers through timely debt payment would be better.

Life expectancy is a measure used to evaluate the government's effectiveness in enhancing the overall well-being and health of the population. The life expectancy of a town is impacted by the educational attainment of its residents. LASSO regression is a variant of linear regression that incorporates an extra penalty term into the cost function. adjustable LASSO Regression is a modified version of this technique that incorporates adjustable weighting variables for each coefficient, enhancing its effectiveness.Multicollinearity, a condition of strong correlation between predictor variables, can complicate the identification of independent variables that have a significant impact. The LASSO and Adaptive LASSO are variable selection strategies used in multiple linear regression situations. The LASSO and Adaptive LASSO techniques are effective for identifying important variables and establishing the link between independent and dependent variables

Dermatofitosis adalah penyakit kulit yang disebabkan oleh kapang dermatofita dan umum terjadi pada hewan peliharaan seperti anjing dan kucing. Penyakit ini bersifat zoonosis dan mudah terjadi di lingkungan dengan kelembaban yang tinggi. Penanganan dermatofitosis salah satunya dengan pemberian obat antifungal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui frekuensi jumlah penggunaan obat antifungal terbanyak untuk kasus dermatofitosis di klinik hewan objek penelitian. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan 71 data rekam medis pasien yang terinfeksi dermatofita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan obat antifungal yang digunakan untuk kasus dermatofitosis sebanyak 19 kali penggunaan ketoconazole, 40 kali penggunaan itraconazole, 6 kali penggunaan griseofulvin, dan 6 kali penggunaan salep racikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, itraconazole adalah obat antifungal yang paling banyak digunakan untuk penanganan kasus dermatofitosis di klinik hewan tersebut.

Abstract Background With poor prognosis and high mortality, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most lethal malignancies. Standard of care therapies for PDAC have included gemcitabine for the past three decades, although resistance often develops within weeks of chemotherapy initiation through an array of possible mechanisms. Methods We reanalyzed publicly available RNA-seq gene expression profiles of 28 PDAC patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models before and after a 21-day gemcitabine treatment using our validated analysis pipeline to identify molecular markers of intrinsic and acquired resistance. Results Using normalized RNA-seq quantification measurements, we first identified oxidative phosphorylation and interferon alpha pathways as the two most enriched cancer hallmark gene sets in the baseline gene expression profile associated with intrinsic gemcitabine resistance and sensitivity, respectively. Furthermore, we discovered strong correlations between drug-induced expression changes in glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation genes and response to gemcitabine, which suggests that these pathways may be associated with acquired gemcitabine resistance mechanisms. Thus, we developed prediction models using baseline gene expression profiles in those pathways and validated them in another dataset of 12 PDAC models from Novartis. We also developed prediction models based on drug-induced expression changes in genes from the Molecular Signatures Database (MSigDB)’s curated 50 cancer hallmark gene sets. Finally, pathogenic TP53 mutations correlated with treatment resistance. Conclusion Our results demonstrate that concurrent upregulation of both glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation pathways occurs in vivo in PDAC PDXs following gemcitabine treatment and that pathogenic TP53 status had association with gemcitabine resistance in these models. Our findings may elucidate the molecular basis for gemcitabine resistance and provide insights for effective drug combination in PDAC chemotherapy.

Encyclopedia teaching materials can enhance the learning process by being clearly and attractively packaged, which helps prevent boredom and engages both students and teachers. This is particularly beneficial for grade V science teachers at SDIT Al-Irsyad Pamekasan, who have observed that many students' achievements fall below the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). By integrating Islam and science into these encyclopedia teaching materials, teachers can better support students' understanding of human motion systems and strengthen their confidence in Allah SWT. This research aims to evaluate (1) the feasibility and (2) the effectiveness of these integrated encyclopedia materials at SDIT Al-Irsyad Pamekasan. Using the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, the study involved fifth-grade students as subjects. Results indicate that the encyclopedia is highly valid, effective, and attractive, meeting user needs. Validation results show that material experts rated the encyclopedia at 96%, design experts at 87.5%, language validation at 80%, and science learning experts at 92%, all in the "very decent" category. The encyclopedia's attractiveness was rated at 88.4%. The effectiveness of these teaching materials is further demonstrated by pre-test and post-test scores: the average pre-test score was 68.48, and the post-test score was 87.59. Manual t-test calculations showed tcount (5.145) was greater than ttable (1.703) at a significance level of 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This signifies significant improvement, confirming that the developed encyclopedia teaching materials are highly effective and suitable for teaching human motion systems.

This study analyzes the pricing mechanism in the Panyabungan traditional market using the perspective of Islamic economics. The Panyabungan tradisional market is the focus of research because it is the local economic center of the Muslim community. Using a qualitative approach, data is collected through observation and interviews with traders and sellers as well as market stakeholders. The results of the study show that the pricing mechanism in the Panyabungan Old Market is largely based on market forces, which is not in accordance with Islamic economic principles that emphasize fairness in prices. In the traditional market of Panyabungan, there is still intransparency related to prices, price increases at certain moments that are not affected by the substance of the availability of goods, and buying and selling credit without paying attention to sharia principles. The implications of this study reinforce the importance of understanding and applying Islamic economic principles in traditional market practices to achieve the goals of economic justice and sustainability at the local level.

Background: Pemphigus is a potentially life-threatening autoimmune blistering disease which characteristically affects skin and mucosae. Pulse therapy for the treatment of pemphigus has been in vogue for several years and considered better than conventional corticosteroids. Aims and objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pulse therapy in pemphigus patients treated over a period of 10 years. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study was based on medical records of Pemphigus patients treated at Department of Dermatology from January 2008 to December 2017. Diagnosis of pemphigus was made on clinical ground, Tzanck smear and histopathology of skin/mucous membrane lesions. Patients were put on DCP/DAP depending on the completion of family. Results: A total of 124 patients were included in the study. Age of patients ranged from 18 years to 72 years with mean of 41.21±12.71 years. Amongst 124 patients, 114 (92%) had pemphigus vulgaris and 10 (8%) had pemphigus foliaceous. 89 patients received DCP and 35 patients received DAP therapy. Number of pulses received by patients in phase I ranged from 4 to 27, average being 8.16±4.63. 106 patients completed the phase I of which 83 completed the phase II. 54 patients had successfully completed phase III of which 22 are currently in phase IV and 28 patients have completed their five year follow up period and considered as cured. Conclusion: Pulse therapy is a cheap and easily available mode of therapy in treatment of pemphigus in India even in the present era of modern molecules like Rituximab. With pulse therapy, it is now possible to induce and maintain remission, and achieve cure, provided the patients strictly adhere to the prescribed schedule.

Hydrogen is a promising renewable energy carrier and eco-friendly alternative to fossil fuels. Water-gas-shift reaction (WGSR) is commonly used to generate hydrogen from renewable biomass feedstocks. Enriching hydrogen content in synthesis gas (syngas) production can be made possible by applying the WGSR after gasification. WGSR can achieve a maximal carbon monoxide (CO) conversion using a commercially patented CZA (Cu/ZnO/Al2O3) catalyst. This study proposed three in-lab self-synthesized CZA catalysts to be evaluated and compared with the patented catalyst performance-wise. The three catalysts were prepared with co-precipitation of different Cu:Zn:Al molar ratios: CZA-431 (4:3:1), CZA-531 (5:3:1) and CZA-631 (6:3:1). The catalysts characteristics were determined through X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) techniques. CO gas was mixed with steam in a catalytic reactor with a 3:1 molar ratio, running continuously through the catalyst at 250 °C for 30 mins. All three catalysts, however, performed below expectations, where CZA-431 had a CO conversion of 77.44%, CZA-531 48.75%, and CZA-631 71.67%. CaO, as a co-catalyst, improved the performance by stabilizing the gas composition faster. The CO conversion of each catalyst also improved: CZA-431 improved its CO conversion to 97.39%, CZA-531 to 96.71%, and CZA-631 to 95.41%. The downward trend of the CO conversion was deemed to be caused by copper content found in CZA-531 and CZA-631 but not in CZA-431, which tended to form a Cu-Zn metal complex, weakening the catalyst's activity.

ABSTRAK Produk teh dapat dibuat dari bahan non teh seperti daun jambu air. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mempelajari sifat kimia teh daun jambu biji delima melalui perlakuan non-oksidasi dan oksidasi enzimatik menggunakan berbagai teknik pengeringan seperti pengering kabinet, oven, dan sangrai. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian iniyaitu desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah metode pengeringan dengan Pengering kabinet, oven dan Sangrai dengan kwali dari tanah. Faktor kedua adalah dengan oksidasi enzimatis dan non-oksidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan non-oksidasi enzimatis dengan metode pengering oven memberikan pengaruh hasil tertinggi teh daun jambu air delima pada sifat kimia meliputi kadar abu (5.70%), pH (4.61). Selanjutnya, perlakuan non-oksidasi enzimatis dengan metode pengering pengering kabinetmemberikan hasil tertinggi teh daun jambu air delima pada sifat dan kimia meliputi kadar air (10.44%), kadar tannin (13.74%), dan total fenol (186.97 mg GAE/gr). ABSTRACT Tea products are not only made from tea leaves, but can also be made from non-tea leaves, one of which is from water guava leaves. The objectiveof this study was to determine the chemical characteristics of water guava leaf tea with non-oxidation and enzymatic oxidation treatments using different drying methods (pengering kabinet, oven, and roast). The experimental design used in this study was a Factorial Completely Randomised Design (CRD) with 2 factors.The first factor is dryingmethodwith pengering kabinet, oven and roasting with kwali from the ground. The second factor is enzymatic oxidation and non-oxidationtreatment. The results showed that the enzymatic non-oxidation treatment using the oven drying method hasthe highest yield of guava leaf tea on chemical properties including ash content, pH. Furthermore, the enzymatic non-oxidation treatment using the pengering kabinetmethod also hasthe highest yield of guava leaf tea on properties and chemistry including water content, tannin content, and total phenols. This study aims to analyze the linear size of the bodies of participated cow used in the progeny test of dairy cows in KAN Jabung, Malang, East Java. The material used consisted of 180 lactating cows emplyed as participated cows. The research employed was a survey with data collection throught purposive sampling, selecting cows that are lactating based on specific criteria. The data were analyzed using correlation analysis and simple linear regression. The results of the study, revealed correlation values between body weight, chest circumference, body length, height with body condition score (BCS), as follows: 0,3542; 0,3523; 0,1926; 0,3198 respectively. Meanwhile, the correlation values of chest circumference, body length, and height with body were found to be: 0,9990; 0,5381; 0,4528, respectively. In conclusion, this study determined that the highest correlation of participated cow linear body size was observed in the relationship between chest circumference and body weight, while the lowest correlation was found in the relationship between body length and BCS.
