6. Time-resolved emission spectroscopy of the exciton-and exciton-magnon-states in RbMnF3and KMnF3

Abstract

The 4T1g→6A1gemission of single crystals of antiferromagnetic KMnF3and RbMnF3has been studied. In RbMnF3we identified 3 pure electronic lines, while there is only one in KMnF3. The lifetime of these excitons is found to be shorter than impurity induced emission. The sidebands arising from the coupling of 1-, 2-, and 3-magnons were separated in KMnF3by time-resolved spectroscopy. The peak energy of 71 cm-1is different from that in absorption (65 cm-1) because of the different exciton-magnon interaction. In RbMnF3the multimagnon process couples to a strong transition 27 cm-1lower than the intrinsic exciton. The results of uniaxial stress experiments in emission agree with previous results found by other workers in absorption.

Abstract

Chlormezanone, a chiral centrally acting muscle relaxant, will be cleaved at its S-C-1 bond by an autoprotolytic process. The optimum of chemical stability exists between pH 2 up to pH 9 with a maximum at pH 7.4. The plasma half life at 37 degrees C is 76 h. Enzymes do attack the products of cleavage namely 4-chlorobenzaldehyde and 2-carboxyethane-sulfinic-acid-N-methyl-amide. The main metabolite in urine is 4-chlorohippuric acid in the range of up to 70% of the oral administered dose to humans. No cytochrome P-450 is engaged in the cleavage of the S-C-bond.
