Abstract

Many present software systems can be developed by a sequence of transformations from the source specification to the final implementation. An interesting question is whether we can support such a sequence of transformations by some formal apparatus that enables to verify succeeding steps of development, and finally also the whole development process. As an example, we use the transformation of a definition of the set of system nodes defined as classical workflow models, and then transform them into a set of Petri nets representing the target system implementation. Such a transformation supports development of software systems, whose specification is based on classical workflow models, but the implementation is based on Petri nets. Each part of the designed system is translated from workflow model into a set of Petri nets, and interpreted by the set of special Petri Nets Virtual Machines (PNVMs) which are installed on all nodes of the system. Abstract

The number of tools supporting Web content creation and management has massively grown in the last two decades. Most of these tools are too complex for practical usage and require strong understanding of the related technologies. We present a methodology for semi-automated generation of Web content management systems based on a generic metamodel. Its aim is to minimize the need of intervention by the technical user. To support the methodology we have developed proof-of-concept tools that have been used for evaluation in real-world case studies. 32. Transformation of special multiplicity constraints — Comparison of possible realizations.

Abstract

This paper deals with the transformation of binary relationships from Platform Independent Model (PIM) in UML to Platform Specific Model (PSM) for relational databases from the point of view of Model Driven Development (MDD). The paper summarizes the transformation of a binary relationship with multiplicity constraints and focuses on problems of the current approach for such transformations. In this paper, we deal with the source class optionality that is usually omitted during the transformation. We propose three various possible realizations for the optionality constraint to be used in the transformation of a PIM to a PSM. We also present some experiments to demonstrate that our approach to the optionality constraint realization is equivalent in execution time to the current approach of omitting this constraint during the transformation while providing better consistency control.
