The article describes a new method for synthesizing quantum dots copper sulfide (CuS QDs) based on the UV-irradiation technique (photolysis method). Our process allows producing high-quality, small-size, very low cost and short time. The crystal structure of CuS QDs was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), which confirmed the synthesized sample's hexagonal shape. The structure of the manufactured product was examined using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and the result revealed just copper (Cu) and sulfide (S) elements, indicating that the synthetic material was pure. The morphology, optical properties, and particle size were investigated by photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and transmission electron spectroscopy (TEM). The particles sizes of the CuS QDs were found to be range between 5.4 to 9.1 nm. Finally, this method successfully synthesized CuS QDs through the results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this research, Carbon nanotubes were fabricated by the electrolysis method using (5 x 50 mm) graphite rod as cathode and anode with 4.7 x10-3 mA\cm2 of current density for 6 h. Characterization and identification of the synthesized carbon nanotubes were done using an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The synthesized carbon nanotubes behave as an attractive adsorbent for alizarin red dye from wastewater. The effects on the dye removal were tested for contact time, temperatures, and initial concentration. The dye adsorption isotherm has been studied and was a good match for Freundlich isotherm models. The maximum adsorption capacity (qm) of samples 24,070 mg/g. Thermodynamic and kinetic studies were done to calculate the parameters (ΔS, ΔH, ΔG) and the adsorption order respectively. A modified method with sol-gel nickel oxide (NiO) nano fibers was used for current research synthesized. FE" SEM, AFM, and UV visible spectroscopy were used to investigate the morphology and optic properties of the synthesized nano. The synthesized nickel oxide structure has been demonstrated with X-ray diffraction (XRD), average crystalline size was 10.08 nm while particle size ~23 nm with fiber structure from FESEM and 16.87 nm from AFM. Nanofiber was used to produce a new solar cell (ITO/NiO/Rhodamina 6 G/iodide/Al nanofilm/ITO) with a photo-sensitization of approximately 0.973%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper created excellent photo-anode materials based on Fe2CuO4 Nanoparticles to efficiently convert the photoelectric into a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The Fe2CuO4 nanoparticles were prepared via the UV-Irradiation method. The synthesized nanoparticles morphology structure and optical properties were examined using various X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive X-Ray Analysis (EDX) / mapping, field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) are examples of these techniques. Transmission electron microscopes (TEM) images validated the Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and crystal structure of the generated Fe2CuO4 NPs, which had an average particle size of (11.7 nm), and the X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) investigation indicated no impurity peaks. Photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) was used to examine the optical characteristics, and the energy gap was found to be 1.95 eV. Nano-powder has been used to develop a successful photo-sensitizing solar cell employing cibacron brilliant red b as a photosensitizer with an efficiency of about 6.47 to 10.39 % energy conversion. We have created a time-saving technology that is simple to regulate, which makes it possible to produce nano-particulate composites without a high testing need. Phosphorus (as phosphate ions) is an essential ingredient that is commonly used in agriculture as both a fertilizer as well as in industry as a detergent which causes significant water pollution. The nanomaterials are mainly involved in removing these ions due to their high surface area. In this study, magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgO NPs) has been synthesized by microwave method. XRD, AFM and SEM were used to investigate the synthesized MgO nanoparticles. The average particles size of MgO NPs calculated to be range (25-39 nm), and has a cubic structure. The synthesized nanoparticles were tested to remove phosphate ions from aqueous solutions. From the resulted, which found that at a pH 12, temperature 298°C the highest adsorption efficiency of phosphate (72%) as a contact time was 150 minutes. It was found that the adsorption mechanism was spontaneous and endothermic by thermodynamic measurements. Generally, the data indicated a good effectiveness of MgO in the removal of phosphate. Graphite is a based on three-domination functionalized carbon content made up of millions of graphene layers. In this study, graphene oxide (GO) and graphene oxide\Ag nanocomposites (GO-Ag) have been synthesized in a single layer using a modified Hummer method. The morphology and structural characteristics of GO and GO-Ag nanocomposites were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmitted electron microscopy (TEM), and Raman spectroscopy. The results of TEM indicated the single and double layer structure with thickness of 4-6 nm for GO Nano-sheets prepared in this analysis. Water pollution problems by dyes is one of the dangerous pests facing the environment, especially those dyes that cause health problems. In this study, CdO-MnO2 Nanocomposite have been successfully synthesized by simple chemical method. The crystallite size and morphology of the Nano-synthesized powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The SEM result revealed that, the average particle sizes was 31.56 nm with particles shape as a Zero dimension. The CdO-MnO2 Nano-synthesized behave as an attractive adsorbent for Methylene orange (M.O) dye in aqueous solution by various temperature (25, 35, 45 and 55°C). The thermodynamic parameters (ΔS, ΔH, ΔG) and Kinetic (order of the adsorption process) were calculated. The results show that the application of nanocomposite CdOMnO2 would be promoted by high adsorption capability and selectivity for dye solutions (M.O).
