Health belief is about a patient's belief that vulnerability and treatment efficacy can affect health behavior decisions. This research investigated the difference in behavior compliance of patients with chronic renal failure based on gender and health beliefs' contribution to it. The sample of this research was 30 male and 30 female renal failure patients at Brigjend H. Hasan Basry Hospital. Data was collected by behavior compliance scale and health belief scale. Multivariate analysis was used to analyze the data. The results show a significant relationship between male and female patients' health beliefs and behavior compliance. The health belief of male patients is higher than female patients, while the behavior compliance of female patients is higher than males. It can be concluded that health and gender are factors affecting behavior compliance. Therefore, paramedics may increase patients' health beliefs to enhance behavior compliance, especially among female patients with chronic renal failure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study reports on an enzymatic glucose sensor based on mesoporous TiO2 nanoparticles (MTNPs) synthesized by a simple solvothermal method. The unique structure of MTNPs with a fairly homogenous shape, porous, and high crystallinity is the consequence of the use of PVP yang during the synthesis process. PVP plays an important role in creating the uniform morphology and mesoporous structure of MTNPs-2. The success of glucose oxidase immobilization on the surface of MTNPs was proven by FTIR and UV-vis characterizations. The prepared GCE/MTNPs-2/GOx electrode successfully detects glucose molecules with good sensing performance with a sensitivity of 0.4098 µA mM-1 cm-2, a wide linear range of 0.1-1 mM, and a relatively low detection limit of 73 µM. In the past two decades, mesoporous TiO2 has emerged as a promising material for biosensing applications. In particular, mesoporous TiO2 materials with uniform, well-organized pores and high surface areas typically exhibit superior biosensing performance, which includes high sensitivity, broad linear response, low detection limit, good reproducibility, and high specificity. Therefore, the development of biosensors based on mesoporous TiO2 has significantly intensified in recent years. In this review, the expansion and advancement of mesoporous TiO2-based biosensors for glucose detection, hydrogen peroxide detection, alpha-fetoprotein detection, immobilization of enzymes, proteins, and bacteria, cholesterol detection, pancreatic cancer detection, detection of DNA damage, kanamycin detection, hypoxanthine detection, and dichlorvos detection are summarized. Finally, the future perspective and research outlook on the utilization of mesoporous TiO2-based biosensors for the practical diagnosis of diseases and detection of hazardous substances are also given.
