We exploit all LHC available Run 2 data at center-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV for searches for physics beyond the Standard Model. We scrutinize the allowed parameter space of Little Higgs models with the concrete symmetry of T-parity by providing comprehensive analyses of all relevant production channels of heavy vectors, top partners, heavy quarks and heavy leptons and all phenomenologically relevant decay channels. Constraints on the model will be derived from the signatures of jets and missing energy or leptons and missing energy. Besides the symmetric case, we also study the case of T-parity violation. Furthermore, we give an extrapolation to the LHC high-luminosity phase at 14 TeV as well., Comment: 50 pages, 32 figures

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology - Abstract
Supersymmetric (SUSY) grand unified theories based on exceptional gauge groups such as E6 have recently triggered a lot of interest. Aside from top-down motivations, they contain phenomenologically interesting states with leptoquark quantum numbers. Their SUSY partners, leptoquarkinos, will appear similar to all R-odd particles in decay cascades, but mass edges in kinematic distributions- originating from the same semiexclusive final states-will however have major differences to the corresponding edges of ordinary squarks. This distortion of standard observables bears the opportunity to detect them at the LHC, but may also pose significant confusion of underlying model assumptions, which should be handled with care and, if interpreted falsely, might even prevent a possible discovery., Comment: 8 pages, 8 figures, revised version, title changed in journal

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology - Abstract
We report on the current status of the Golem project which aims at the construction of a general one-loop evaluator for matrix elements. We construct the one-loop matrix elements from Feynman diagrams in a highly automated way and provide a library for the reduction and numerically stable evaluation of the tensor integrals involved in this approach. Furthermore, we present applications to physics processes relevant for the LHC., Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures, contrib. to proceedings of "Loops and Legs in Quantum Field Theory", 10th DESY Workshop on Elementary Particle Theory, 25-30 April 2010, Woerlitz, Germany

In this talk we review the GOLEM approach to one-loop calculations and present an automated implementation of this technique. This method is based on Feynman diagrams and an advanced reduction of one-loop tensor integrals which avoids numerical instabilities. We have extended our one-loop integral library golem95 with an automated one-loop matrix element generator to compute the virtual corrections of the process $q\bar{q}\to b\bar{b}b\bar{b}$. The implementation of the virtual matrix element has been interfaced with tree-level Monte Carlo programs to provide the full result for the above process., Comment: 8 pages, 1 figure, contribution to the proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on Radiative Corrections (RADCOR 2009), October 25-30 2009, Ascona, Switzerland

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology - Abstract
The interesting but difficult phenomenology of supersymmetric models at the LHC and ILC demands a corresponding complexity and maturity from simulation tools. This includes multi-particle final states, reducible and irreducible backgrounds, spin correlations, real emission of photons and gluons, virtual corrections etc. Most of these topics are included in the multi-particle Monte Carlo (MC) Event generators Madgraph, WHIZARD and Sherpa. A comparison of these codes is shown, with a special focus on the new release of WHIZARD. I show examples for the necessity of considering full matrix elements with all off-shell effects and interferences for multi-particle final states in supersymmetric models and give a status report on ongoing projects for simulations of SUSY processes at the LHC with these codes, including all of the abovementioned corrections., Comment: Submitted for the SUSY07 proceedings, 4 pages, 12 eps figures

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology - Abstract
Matter-Higgs unification in string-inspired supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories predicts the existence of colored states in the Higgs multiplets and calls for two extra generations of Higgs-like fields ('unhiggses'). If these states are present near the TeV scale, gauge-coupling unification points to the existence of two distinct scales, 10^15 GeV where right-handed neutrinos and a Pati-Salam symmetry appear, and 10^18 GeV where complete unification is achieved. Baryon-number conservation, while not guaranteed, can naturally emerge from an underlying flavor symmetry. Collider signatures and dark-matter physics may be drastically different from the conventional MSSM., Comment: Submitted for the SUSY07 proceedings, 4 pages, 3 eps figures

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology - Abstract
We propose a means to discriminate between the two basic variants of Little Higgs models, the Product Group and Simple Group models, at the next generation of colliders. It relies on a special coupling of light pseudoscalar particles present in Little Higgs models, the pseudoaxions, to the Z and the Higgs boson, which is present only in Simple Group models. We discuss the collider phenomenology of the pseudoaxion in the presence of such a coupling at the LHC, where resonant production and decay of either the Higgs or the pseudoaxion induced by that coupling can be observed for much of parameter space. The full allowed range of parameters, including regions where the observability is limited at the LHC, is covered by a future ILC, where double scalar production would be a golden channel to look for., Comment: Submitted for the SUSY07 proceedings, 4 pages, 6 eps figures

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology - Abstract
We investigate the potential of the ILC for measuring anomalous quartic gauge couplings, both in production of three electroweak gauge bosons as well as in vector boson scattering. Any new physics that could possibly couple to the electroweak gauge bosons is classified according to its spin and isospin quantum numbers and parameterized in terms of resonance parameters like masses, widths, magnetic moment form factors etc. By a maximum log-likelihood fit, the discovery reach of a 1 TeV ILC for scalar, vector and tensor resonances is examined., Comment: Talk given at LCWS/ILC 2007 at DESY, Hamburg

We discuss the properties of light pseudoscalar particles, the so-called pseudoaxions, within Little Higgs models, focusing on their phenomenology at the ILC. We especially discuss a method of how to distinguish between the two basic classes of Little Higgs models, the product and simple group models, by a specific production channel and decay mode. These are strictly forbidden in the product group models., Comment: Talk given at the LCWS/ILC 2007 at DESY, Hamburg

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology ,High Energy Physics - Experiment - Abstract
We describe the universal Monte-Carlo event generator WHIZARD. The program automatically computes complete tree-level matrix elements, integrates them over phase space, evaluates distributions of observables, and generates unweighted event samples that can be used directly in detector simulation. There is no principal limit on the process complexity; using current hardware, the program has successfully been applied to hard scattering processes with up to eight particles in the final state. Matrix elements are computed as helicity amplitudes, so spin and color correlations are retained. The Standard Model, the MSSM, and many alternative models such as Little Higgs, anomalous couplings, or effects of extra dimensions or noncommutative SM extensions have been implemented. Using standard interfaces to PDF, beamstrahlung, parton shower and hadronization programs, WHIZARD generates complete physical events and covers physics at hadron, lepton, and photon colliders., Comment: Software and extended documentation available from: http://whizard.event-generator.org

Extensions of the Standard Model of elementary particle physics to noncommutative geometries are proposed by string models. High Energy Physics - Phenomenology - Abstract
We study the corrections to the determination of sin(2 beta) from the time dependent CP asymmetry of B^0 to J/Psi K_S which arise in the standard model. Although a precise prediction of these corrections is not possible we find that they are indeed extremely small, of the order of less than a per mil of the observed value. This means in turn that any deviation visible at the B factories will be a clear signal for new physics., Comment: 15 pages, 4 postscript figures

The International Linear Collider Technical Design Report (TDR) describes infour volumes the physics case and the design of a 500 GeV centre-of-mass energylinear electron-positron collider based on superconducting radio-frequencytechnology using Niobium cavities as the accelerating structures. Theaccelerator can be extended to 1 TeV and also run as a Higgs factory at around250 GeV and on the Z0 pole. A comprehensive value estimate of the acceleratoris give, together with associated uncertainties. It is shown that nosignificant technical issues remain to be solved. Once a site is selected andthe necessary site-dependent engineering is carried out, construction can beginimmediately. The TDR also gives baseline documentation for two high-performancedetectors that can share the ILC luminosity by being moved into and out of thebeam line in a "push-pull" configuration. These detectors, ILD and SiD, aredescribed in detail. They form the basis for a world-class experimentalprogramme that promises to increase significantly our understanding of thefundamental processes that govern the evolution of the Universe.

- Abstract
Neutrinos are the most elusive particles known. Heavier sterile neutrinos mixing with the standard neutrinos might solve the mystery of the baryon asymmetry of the universe. In this letter, we show that among all future energy frontier accelerators, muon colliders will provide the farthest search reach for such neutrinos for mass ranges above the $Z$ pole into the multi-TeV regime. We compare the performance of muon with electron colliders of the same machine energy and briefly discuss the complementarity in flavor space between the two types of accelerators., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures

- Abstract
Muon colliders offer the possibility to go to very high energies with relatively small circular colliders, energies up to 10 or 14 TeV are envisioned. Due to their very clean collider environment they provide a fantastic tool to search for new physics in the electroweak sector, especially through the production of multiple EW vector and Higgs bosons, and they allow to measure the Higgs-muon coupling very precisely. I will elucidate the physics capabilities from these processes and also discuss issues on precision predictions for SM backgrounds at high-energy lepton colliders., Comment: Contribution to Corfu Summer Institute 2022 "School and Workshops on Elementary Particle Physics and Gravity"

- Abstract
We give a status report on new developments in the WHIZARD event generator, including NLO electroweak automation for $e^+e^-$ colliders, loop-induced processes, POWHEG matching, new features in the UFO interface and the current development for matching between exclusive photon radiation and fixed-order LO/NLO electroweak (EW) corrections. We report on several bug fixes relevant for certain aspects of the ILC250 Monte Carlo (MC) mass production, especially on the normalization of matching EPA samples with full-matrix element samples. Finally, we mention some ongoing work on efficiency improvements regarding parallelization of matrix elements and phase space sampling, as well as plans to revive the top threshold simulation., Comment: Talk presented at the International Workshop on Future Linear Colliders (LCWS 2023), 15-19 May 2023. - Abstract
We study the capabilities of a muon collider, at 3 and 10 TeV center-of-mass energy, of probing the interactions of the Higgs boson with the muon. We consider all the possible processes involving the direct production of EW bosons ($W,Z$ and $H$) with up to five particles in the final state. We study these processes both in the HEFT and SMEFT frameworks, assuming that the dominant BSM effects originate from the muon Yukawa sector. Our study shows that a Muon Collider has sensitivity beyond the LHC, as it not only relies on the Higgs-decay branching fraction to muons. A 10 TeV muon collider provides a unique sensitivity on muon and (multi-) Higgs interactions, significantly better than the 3 TeV option. We find searches based purely on multi-Higgs production to be particularly effective in probing these couplings., Comment: 87 pages, 27 figures
