Purpose To assess the performance of a local open-source large language model (LLM) in various information extraction tasks from real-life emergency brain MRI reports. Materials and Methods All consecutive emergency brain MRI reports written in 2022 from a French quaternary center were retrospectively reviewed. Two radiologists identified MRI scans that were performed in the emergency department for headaches. Four radiologists scored the reports conclusions as either normal or abnormal. Abnormalities were labeled as either headache-causing or incidental. Vicuna (LMSYS Org), an open-source LLM, performed the same tasks. Vicunas performance metrics were evaluated using the radiologists consensus as the reference standard. Results Among the 2398 reports during the study period, radiologists identified 595 that included headaches in the indication (median age of patients, 35 years [IQR, 26-51 years]; 68% [403 of 595] women). A positive finding was reported in 227 of 595 (38%) cases, 136 of which could explain the headache. The LLM had a sensitivity of 98.0% (95% CI: 96.5, 99.0) and specificity of 99.3% (95% CI: 98.8, 99.7) for detecting the presence of headache in the clinical context, a sensitivity of 99.4% (95% CI: 98.3, 99.9) and specificity of 98.6% (95% CI: 92.2, 100.0) for the use of contrast medium injection, a sensitivity of 96.0% (95% CI: 92.5, 98.2) and specificity of 98.9% (95% CI: 97.2, 99.7) for study categorization as either normal or abnormal, and a sensitivity of 88.2% (95% CI: 81.6, 93.1) and specificity of 73% (95% CI: 62, 81) for causal inference between MRI findings and headache. Conclusion An open-source LLM was able to extract information from free-text radiology reports with excellent accuracy without requiring further training. In untargeted metabolomics, structures of small molecules are annotated using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry by leveraging information from the molecular retention time (RT) in the chromatogram and m/z (formerly called ''mass-to-charge ratio'') in the mass spectrum. However, correct identification of metabolites is challenging due to the vast array of small molecules. Therefore, various in silico tools for mass spectrometry peak alignment and compound prediction have been developed; however, the list of candidate compounds remains extensive. Accurate RT prediction is important to exclude false candidates and facilitate metabolite annotation. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have led to significant breakthroughs in the use of deep learning models in various fields. Release of a large RT dataset has mitigated the bottlenecks limiting the application of deep learning models, thereby improving their application in RT prediction tasks. This review lists the databases that can be used to expand training datasets and concerns the issue about molecular representation inconsistencies in datasets. It also discusses the application of AI technology for RT prediction, particularly in the 5 years following the release of the METLIN small molecule RT dataset. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the AI applications used for RT prediction, highlighting the progress and remaining challenges. Scientific contribution: This article focuses on the advancements in small molecule retention time prediction in computational metabolomics over the past five years, with a particular emphasis on the application of AI technologies in this field. It reviews the publicly available datasets for small molecule retention time, the molecular representation methods, the AI algorithms applied in recent studies. Furthermore, it discusses the effectiveness of these models in assisting with the annotation of small molecule structures and the challenges that must be addressed to achieve practical applications. Background: It is estimated that only 6-10% of all adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are reported. Although India is participating in the pharmacovigilance program, its reporting is still in its initial stages. It is important to sensitize health-care professionals regarding ADR reporting and pharmacovigilance helping in better reporting. Educational interventions have been widely shown to be effective at improving the rate of ADR reporting among healthcare workers. Aims and Objectives: The primary objective of this study is to understand the knowledge of health-care professionals regarding ADR reporting and pharmacovigilance and also to know the effectiveness and outcome of the pharmacovigilance workshop. Materials and Methods: A retrospective audit of the data obtained from the workshops conducted on pharmacovigilance over 2 days in April 2023 was conducted after obtaining the requisite permission from the Institutional Ethics Committee. The workshops were conducted by the ADR monitoring center of Terna medical college, Nerul for the health-care professionals. A questionnaire consisting of 21 questions was used during the workshop for both pre-test and post-test. The questions tested the knowledge and attitude of health-care professionals. At the end of the session, feedback was taken regarding the workshop. The data were entered into Microsoft Excel and subjected to descriptive statistics. A paired t-test was done for the pre-test and post-test scores on Microsoft Excel. Results: In total, there were 67 participants in the workshop, 51 (76.12%) were nursing staff of different departments. Thirteen (19.4%) were duty medical officers, 1 (1.49%) was pharmacist and 2 (2.99%) were from pathology laboratory. A paired t-test was done for the pre-test and post-test marks of the participants, and the P-value was calculated to be 0.00000297 showing a statistically significant difference between the scores. About 92.53% agreed that it is important to report an ADR. About 71.64% agreed that reporting a known ADR still contributes to the system. Conclusion: The results of the present study demonstrate that the attitude of health-care professionals is positive regarding reporting an ADR. The improvement of the knowledge of the professionals was good after the workshop. It also concludes that workshops on pharmacovigilance and ADR reporting are necessary to increase awareness among health-care professionals on pharmacovigilance. ADR reporting is important to reduce the morbidity associated with the use of medications. Effective usage of information accumulated over decades of geological exploration requires a tool that allows cataloging, describing, and providing access to both paper and electronic versions of the materials. Despite gradual digitalization of all the major geological exploration processes, there still remains large volume of the materials from previous years on paper media (technical reports, projects, etc.). They continue to be systematically digitized, while new reporting materials are generated in digital form. In addition, thematic scientific articles and publications are annually published. How to combine all the materials and to ensure quick and convenient access to them? There exist various ways to achieve this goal. The Vilyuisk Geological Exploration Expedition (VGRE) of PJSC ALROSA has taken the path of developing a dedicated information system «EFB GRK» designed to store and get access to the information on geological reports, scientific works, articles, etc. Each type of the documents is provided by its own attribute information; several types of the documents are grouped into thematic sections. The system allows one to obtain information on the availability of the projecting and reporting documentation in the archive funds with ability to order and receive and to trace the movement of such documentation.

Abstract Background Report writing in class provides basic training for academic writing. However, report writing education in medical schools in Japan has rarely been reported and no teaching strategy has been established for it. Methods This study developed a report writing program using peer review for first-year medical students consisting of two 120-minute classes. The goal of being able to write reports appropriately was established and presented to students at the beginning of the program. In session 1, students decided on a topic, gathered information, and structured their report. In session 2, students’ written reports were peer reviewed. The reports were improved based on the peer reviews. The responses of the pre- and post-program questionnaires were evaluated to determine the program’s effectiveness. The other reports that were assigned one month after the program were used as comparison with the reports of students who did not participate. Furthermore, the long-term effects of the program were also evaluated by comparing the results of students from the previous year who did not participate in the program with those of program participants six months after the program. Results A total of 106 students completed the questionnaire evaluation. The program was rated as being acceptable for the students. Self-assessment of report writing significantly improved after the program. The report scores of program participants (n = 99) were significantly higher overall and in all domains than were those of non-participants (n = 99). The self-assessment of students who participated (n = 96) was significantly higher than that of non-participants (n = 109). No difference was observed for students’ sense of burden in report writing. Conclusions The report writing skills of medical students can be improved by clearly establishing the goals of report writing and practicing the basic skills of report writing step-by-step. Moreover, the use of peer review may enhance the effectiveness of learning opportunities for report writing.

Introduction: As the list of histologic parameters to include in surgical pathology reports of prostate cancer biopsies grows, some pathologists include this information in the microscopic description or summary sections of the report, whereas others include it in the "topline" or final diagnosis section. This prompted us to develop a multi-institutional survey to assess reporting trends among genitourinary (GU) pathologists. Methods: A survey instrument was shared among 110 GU pathologists via surveymonkey.com. Anonymized respondent data was analyzed. Results: Eighty-four (76%) participants completed the survey across four continents. Most participants report tumor volume quantitation (88%), number of cores involved (89%), and both Gleason grade and Grade group (93%) in their topline; 71% include percent of pattern 4, with another 16% including it depending on cancer grade; 58% include the presence of cribriform growth pattern 4, with another 11% including it depending on cancer grade. When present, most include extraprostatic extension (90%), prostatic intraductal carcinoma (77%), and perineural invasion (77%). Inclusion of atypical intraductal proliferation (AIP) in the topline diagnosis was cancer grade-dependent, with 74% including AIP in Grade group 1, 61% in Grade group 2, 45% in Grade group 3, 30% in Grade group 4, and 26% in Grade group 5 cancers. Conclusion: Certain histologic features such as Gleason grade and tumor volume/cores involved are frequently included in the topline diagnosis, whereas the incorporation of other findings are more variably included. Natural language processing (NLP) technologies, in one of their applications, provide effective research of patterns and trends in large sets of textual data. Textual safety data presented in the form of accident investigation reports is a promising object for extracting new useful information that can be used both in flight safety management and in the framework of simulator training. This paper discusses the application of NLP technologies for the study of the body of flight safety reports of PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines. The aim of the work is to develop a method for identifying relevant topics of simulator training for pilots. The paper presents an analysis of existing foreign works in the field of intellectual analysis of textual information in civil aviation. It has been revealed that NLP technologies are actively used abroad to study flight safety reports. The paper presents a scheme of a method for identifying relevant topics of pilot simulator training based on clustering of flight safety reports. The procedures of text preprocessing and the construction of its vector space are described. The scientific novelty of the approach is that, unlike previous works, it is proposed to use a full vector representation of flight safety reports, which is built by combining matrices of thematic and semantic vectors. The proposed method has been tested. The analyzed corpus of texts amounted to 1080 reports. As a result of the clustering algorithm, 36 clusters were identified, which were then visualized using the algorithms t-distributed stochastic embedding of neighbors (t-SNE). The practical significance of the research results lies in the fact that the approach based on clustering of reports will allow for a more in-depth analysis of flight safety reports, which can simplify and speed up the work of both safety management specialists and flight simulator instructors.

The annual report of the Hungarian Myocardial Infarction Registry (HUMIR) is traditionally published in Cardiologia Hungarica. In 2023, we registered 13,451 myocardial infarction (MI) events (STEMI 47.6%, NSTEMI 52.4%), which is 88.5% of all financed treatments. Primary percutaneous intervention (PCI) was used during revascularization in 85.6% of STEMI and 63,4% of NSTEMI patients. Coin opening the vessel was still too late. In STEMI patients: the median total ischemic time (the time elapsed between the onset of the complaint and the opening of the vessel) was 265 minutes. In 45.8% of the patients, revascularization took place within 4 hours, and in every tenth patient (10.6%), it took 24 hours or more until the vessel was opened. In NSTEMI infarction, 61% of patients underwent PCI within 24 hours. Cardiac catheterization was performed almost exclusively by radial way (94.5% and 95.8%). Almost exclusively drug eluting stents were used (94.2%, 92.8%) During hospitalization, almost all patients received drug treatment important from the point of view of secondary prevention, and were given a recommendation to continue it. After the acute phase 10.9% of STEMI patients and 5.8% of NSTEMI patients were admitted to a rehabilitation institution. The 30-day mortality of STEMI patients was 14.7%, and 11.6% if primary PCI was performed. 10.1% and 6.7% respectively in NSTEMI patients. We analyzed the frequency of use of coronary angiography, PCI, and 30-day mortality by center. The comparison confirmed significant differences for all factors examined, therefore further investigation is warranted.

Objective: To assess the feasibility of using large language models (LLMs), specifically ChatGPT-4, to generate concise and accurate layperson summaries of musculoskeletal radiology reports. Methods: Sixty radiology reports, comprising 20 MR shoulder, 20 MR knee, and 20 MR lumbar spine reports, were obtained via PACS. The reports were deidentified and then submitted to ChatGPT-4, with the prompt "Produce an organized and concise layperson summary of the findings of the following radiology report. Target a reading level of 8-9th grade and word count <300 words." Three (two primary and one later added for validation) independent readers evaluated the summaries for completeness and accuracy compared to the original reports. Summaries were rated on a scale of 1 to 3: 1) summaries that were incorrect or incomplete, potentially providing harmful or confusing information; 2) summaries that were mostly correct and complete, unlikely to cause confusion or harm; and 3) summaries that were entirely correct and complete. Results: All 60 responses met the criteria for word count and readability. Mean ratings for accuracy were 2.58 for reader 1, 2.71 for reader 2, and 2.77 for reader 3. Mean ratings for completeness were 2.87 for reader 1 and 2.73 for reader 2 and 2.87 for reader 3. For accuracy, reader 1 identified three summaries as a 1, reader 2 identified one, and reader 3 identified none. For the two primary readers, inter-reader agreement was low for accuracy (kappa 0.33) and completeness (kappa 0.29). There were no statistically significant changes in inter-reader agreement when the third reader's ratings were included in analysis. Conclusion: Overall ratings for accuracy and completeness of the AI-generated layperson report summaries were high with only a small minority likely to be confusing or inaccurate. This study illustrates the potential for leveraging generative AI, such as ChatGPT-4, to automate the production of patient-friendly summaries for musculoskeletal MR imaging. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In view of the global demographic shift, a scientific symposium was organised by the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) to address nutrition-related challenges of the older population and provide an overview of the current state of knowledge. Eighteen nutrition-related issues of the ageing global society were presented by international experts during the symposium and summarised in this report. Anorexia of ageing, dysphagia, malnutrition, frailty, sarcopenia, sarcopenic obesity, and the metabolic syndrome were highlighted as major nutrition-related geriatric syndromes. Great progress has been made in recent years through standardised definitions of some but not all syndromes. Regarding malnutrition, the GLIM approach has shown to be suitable also in older adults, justifying its continuous implementation. For anorexia of ageing, a consensus definition is still required. Intervention approaches should be integrated and person-centered with the aim of optimizing intrinsic capacity and maintaining functional capacity. Landmark studies like EFFORT and FINGER have impressively documented the potential of individualised and multifactorial interventions for functional and health benefits. Combining nutritional intervention with physical training seems particularly important whereas restrictive diets and drug treatment should generally be used with caution because of undesirable risks. Obesity management in older adults should take into account the risk of promoting sarcopenia. In the future, even more individualised approaches like precision nutrition may enable better nutritional care. Meanwhile all stakeholders should focus on a better implementation of currently available strategies and work closely together to improve nutritional care for older adults. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As businesses increasingly rely on written communication for various purposes, the ability to articulate ideas, convey information, and engage stakeholders through written mediums has become a vital competency. This study delves into the challenges faced by students when they write business letter, report and email in English at Techno Link College, Burayu Campus. The research aims to comprehensively analyze the issues surrounding business writing, exploring how students perceive and approach the learning of this crucial skill. To conduct this investigation, a mixed-methods approach was employed and both quantitative and qualitative methodologies were utilized. A sample of 165 students was randomly selected, and their insights were gathered through a survey questionnaire. The findings of the research revealed that the majority of the students struggle to master the art of effective business writing. The results show that the majority of students exhibited poor performance across these essential business communication tasks such as composing emails, letters and reports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Communication failures among clinicians in the ICU (intensive care unit) often lead to worse patient outcomes. CritCom is a bilingual (English and Spanish) tool to evaluate the quality of interdisciplinary communication around patient deterioration for pediatric oncology patients. The use of reports, such as the CritCom report, as dissemination methods lead to quicker knowledge translation and implementation of research findings into policy. Nurses and physicians at participating centers who care for patients at risk of deterioration completed the CritCom survey and center-specific reports were generated to communicate CritCom results. Focus groups were conducted with clinicians receiving CritCom reports in both English and Spanish to evaluate report clarity and usability. Participants found the reports to be useful and described the writing and design as clear and specific. Participants provided feedback to improve report design and requested actionable steps to improve communication at their center. Feedback illustrated that the report was easy to interpret and a useful way to disseminate information. Participants noted the utility of the report, illustrating that the use of reports can be a useful method to disseminate research findings back to participants in a way that is applicable to the local context. Communicating research findings through reports can minimize the significant time lag in knowledge translation and provide participants with actionable steps to implement in their setting. The national supervisory authority for data protection is the Commission for Personal Data Protection, which, as of 2023, is also the central authority for external whistleblowing and for the protection of persons reporting violations of Bulgarian legislation or acts of the European Union that threaten or harm the public interest. Based on its competencies, it issues administrative acts that hold an important place in Bulgaria’s legal system. This study will examine and analyze the legal acts of the commission, which it issues as a specialized body carrying out supervisory activities to prevent the violation of individuals’ rights and ensure their adequate protection. (1) Background: Although MRI is a well-established tool in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) diagnosis and management, neuroradiological reports often lack standardization and/or quantitative information, with possible consequences in clinical care. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of information provided by neuroradiological reports and different reporting systems on the clinical management of MS patients. (2) Methods: An online questionnaire was proposed to neurologists working in Italian tertiary care level MS centers. Questions assessed the impact of different MRI-derived biomarkers on clinical choices, the preferred way of receiving radiological information, and the neurologists' opinions about different reporting systems and the use of automated software in clinical practice. (3) Results: The online survey was completed by 62 neurologists. New/enlarging (100%) lesions, the global T2w/FLAIR lesion load (96.8%), and contrast-enhancing (95.2%) lesions were considered the most important biomarkers for therapeutic decision, while new/enlarging lesions (98.4%), global T2w/FLAIR lesion load (96.8%), and cerebral atrophy (90.3%) were relevant to prognostic evaluations. Almost all participants (98.4%) considered software for medical imaging quantification helpful in clinical management, mostly in relation to prognostic evaluations. (4) Conclusions: These data highlight the impact of providing accurate and reliable data in neuroradiological reports. Objectives: To automatically label chest radiographs and chest CTs regarding the detection of pulmonary infection in the report text, to calculate the number needed to image (NNI) and to investigate if these labels correlate with regional epidemiological infection data. Materials and methods: All chest imaging reports performed in the emergency room between 01/2012 and 06/2022 were included (64,046 radiographs; 27,705 CTs). Using a regular expression-based text search algorithm, reports were labeled positive/negative for pulmonary infection if described. Data for regional weekly influenza-like illness (ILI) consultations (10/2013–3/2022), COVID-19 cases, and hospitalization (2/2020–6/2022) were matched with report labels based on calendar date. Positive rate for pulmonary infection detection, NNI, and the correlation with influenza/COVID-19 data were calculated. Results: Between 1/2012 and 2/2020, a 10.8–16.8% per year positive rate for detecting pulmonary infections on chest radiographs was found (NNI 6.0–9.3). A clear and significant seasonal change in mean monthly detection counts (102.3 winter; 61.5 summer; p <.001) correlated moderately with regional ILI consultations (weekly data r = 0.45; p <.001). For 2020–2021, monthly pulmonary infection counts detected by chest CT increased to 64–234 (23.0–26.7% per year positive rate, NNI 3.7–4.3) compared with 14–94 (22.4–26.7% positive rate, NNI 3.7–4.4) for 2012–2019. Regional COVID-19 epidemic waves correlated moderately with the positive pulmonary infection CT curve for 2020–2022 (weekly new cases: r = 0.53; hospitalizations: r = 0.65; p <.001). Conclusion: Text mining of radiology reports allows to automatically extract diagnoses. It provides a metric to calculate the number needed to image and to track the trend of diagnoses in real time, i.e., seasonality and epidemic course of pulmonary infections. Clinical relevance: Digitally labeling radiology reports represent previously neglected data and may assist in automated disease tracking, in the assessment of physicians' clinical reasoning for ordering radiology examinations and serve as actionable data for hospital workflow optimization. The financial audit report is a valuable tool for ensuring financial transparency and integrity within a company. By presenting the audit results in detail, the report contributes to creating a relationship of trust between the company and its stakeholders. By evaluating procedures and systems, auditors can identify risks and deficiencies within the company, creating the opportunity for company management to act to improve processes by effectively managing resources and achieving set goals. Starting from the premise that by presenting correct and reliable financial information, the audit report provides management and shareholders with a solid basis for making well-informed and substantiated decisions, we set out to analyze the decision-makers' perceptions of the role and importance of the financial audit for business continuity companies. The research is qualitative, as it is about the realization of a situation survey, based on a questionnaire within several companies, the respondents being their decision-makers. The conclusions of our study can be a starting point for carrying out research in the field, the issue of the reliability of the financial and accounting information presented in the financial reports remains topical, even though digitalization tends to capture the field of accounting and auditing as well, the standardization of information is one of the consequences this process. Background: The radiology report is the primary means of conveying imaging findings between radiologists and clinicians. As a result, clinician satisfaction with the radiology report is an indicator of its quality and clinical relevance. It is crucial to identify factors that can enhance the radiology report in order to improve service delivery. Objectives: This study evaluates clinician and radiologist opinions, preferences and clinician utilisation of the radiology report. Method: Mixed quantitative and qualitative survey questionnaires were distributed in-person and online from December 2022 to February 2023 to a total of 287 clinicians and 43 independent medical practitioners specialising in radiology. Results: A total of 73.0% of radiologists and 56.5% of clinicians expressed satisfaction with the radiology reports. Additionally, 72.0% of radiologists expressed dissatisfaction with the history provided on the referral forms. It was found that 87.6% of clinicians read the radiology report, while 26.2% reviewed the radiological imaging without referring to it. Interestingly, 77.8% of clinicians preferred itemised listed reports, whereas 53.8% of radiologists preferred reports in paragraph format. It was discovered that 69.6% of radiologists and 65.4% of clinicians preferred a standardised reporting format. Conclusion: More than half of the clinicians and most of the radiologists expressed satisfaction with the radiology report. Both clinicians and radiologists showed a preference for a structured reporting format. A crucial element in constructing a good radiology report was having a relevant clinical history. The radiologist continued to be the preferred professional for interpreting radiological imaging. Contribution: This survey was a good starting point for improving communication between clinicians and radiologists. This will ultimately result in reports that are more useful to clinicians and radiologists who have a better understanding of what should be included in reports and how they should be structured.

People who speak out in the public interest, known as whistleblowers, often threaten vested interests. When whistleblowers suffer reprisals, as frequently occurs, the consequences for their health can be serious. Interviews with members of Whistleblowers Australia reveal that whistleblowers can experience a range of adverse psychological and physical effects, some of them quite serious. Whistleblowers use various methods to cope with these consequences, including telling their stories and seeking support from counsellors and others. Abstract Objective Given the frequency of disasters worldwide, there is growing demand for efficient and effective emergency responses. One challenge is to design suitable retrospective charts to enable knowledge to be gained from disasters. This study provides comprehensive understanding of published retrospective chart review templates for designing and updating retrospective research. Methods We conducted a systematic review and text analysis of peer-reviewed articles and grey literature on retrospective chart review templates for reporting, analysing, and evaluating emergency responses. The search was performed on PubMed, Cochrane, and Web of Science and pre-identified government and non-government organizational and professional association websites to find papers published before July 1, 2022. Items and categories were grouped and organised using visual text analysis. The study is registered in PROSPERO (374,928). Results Four index groups, 12 guidelines, and 14 report formats (or data collection templates) from 21 peer-reviewed articles and 9 grey literature papers were eligible. Retrospective tools were generally designed based on group consensus. One guideline and one report format were designed for the entire health system, 23 studies focused on emergency systems, while the others focused on hospitals. Five papers focused specific incident types, including chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, mass burning, and mass paediatric casualties. Ten papers stated the location where the tools were used. The text analysis included 123 categories and 1210 specific items; large heterogeneity was observed. Conclusion Existing retrospective chart review templates for emergency response are heterogeneous, varying in type, hierarchy, and theoretical basis. The design of comprehensive, standard, and practicable retrospective charts requires an emergency response paradigm, baseline for outcomes, robust information acquisition, and among-region cooperation.

Abstract Background The real-world tuberculosis (TB) surveillance data was generally incomplete due to underreporting and underdiagnosis. The inventory study aimed to assess and quantify the incompletion of surveillance systems in southwestern China. Methods The inventory study was conducted at randomly selected health facilities (HF) by multi-stage stratified cluster sampling. The participants were included in the period between August of 2020 in province-level and prefecture-level HF, and in the period between June to December of 2020 in other categories of HF respectively. The clinical committee confirmed medical records were matched to the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System (NNDRS) and the Tuberculosis Information Management System (TBIMS) to define the report and register status. The underreporting and under-register rates were evaluated based on the matched data, and factors associated with underreport and under-register were assessed by the 2-level logistic multilevel model (MLM). Results We enrolled 7,749 confirmed TB cases in the analysis. The province representative overall underreport rate to NNDRS was 1.6% (95% confidence interval, 95% CI, 1.3 − 1.9), and the overall under-register rate to TBIMS was 9.6% (95% CI, 8.9–10.3). The various underreport and under-register rates were displayed in different stratifications of background TB disease burden, HF level, HF category, and data source of the medical record in HF among prefectures of the province. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was 0.57 for the underreporting null MLM, indicating the facility-level cluster effect contributes a great share of variation in total variance. Objective. The purpose of this work is to develop a decision support system in the form of a computer program «Calculation of departmental assessment of administrative activities of the police» based on the algorithm for statistical analysis of data from the «1-AP» report, which allows in an inclusive form (for example, graphically) to track the dynamics of key indicators, contained in the «1-AP» report for officials of internal affairs bodies responsible for maintaining public order.Method. The problem of objective contradiction between the indicators of departmental criteria for assessing the administrative activities of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation and non-departmental assessment of the activities of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has been identified. In order to resolve it, it is proposed to take into account the number of identified administrative offenses as an additional indicator of departmental assessment of law enforcement in public places, assessing their growth as a positive characteristic. To identify the quantitative component of this indicator, it is necessary to analyze the dynamics of the data contained in the «1-AP» statistical reporting form.Result. The developed computer program implements: summary and grouping of information from the statistical forms of the «1-AP» report for the entire period of validity of Order No. 179 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia; analysis and forecasting of time series, adjusted according to various informative indicators of administrative practice; formation of diagrams for graphical analysis of trends in the phenomena being studied.Conclusion. The developed decision support system in the form of a computer program is an effective means of implementing information and communication technologies in the activities of internal affairs bodies. Users of this system will be officials of internal affairs bodies responsible for organizing the protection of public order, as well as cadets and adjuncts studying in legal specialties.

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common and heritable neurodevelopmental disorders which may last through the life-span. A consensus report on diagnosis and management of ADHD among Turkish youth was prepared previously. However, the participants as well as the management options were rather limited and developments in the past decade necessitated a revision and update of the consensus. Therefore, this review aims to summarize the consensus among Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists from Türkiye on the nature andmanagement of pediatric ADHD. For those aims, the etiology of ADHD, diagnostic and evaluation process, epidemiology, developmental presentations, differential diagnoses and comorbidities, course/outcome and pharmacological as well as non-pharmacological management options were reviewed and suggestions for clinical practice are presented. Since ADHD is a chronic disorder with wide-ranging effects on functionality that is frequently accompanied by other mental disorders, a multidimensional therapeutic approach is recommended. However, since the disorder has neurobiological basis, pharmacotherapy represents the mainstay of treatment. Additional therapies may include psychosocial therapy, behavioral therapy, school-based therapeutic approaches, and family education. This review provides recommendations for ADHD at the national and global levels. It contains information about ADHD that will contribute to and facilitate clinicians' decision-making processes. Background: Blood transcriptomic analysis is widely used to provide a detailed picture of a physiological state with potential outcomes for applications in diagnostics and monitoring of the immune response to vaccines. However, multi-species transcriptomic analysis is still a challenge from a technological point of view and a standardized workflow is urgently needed to allow interspecies comparisons. Results: Here, we propose a single and complete total RNA-Seq workflow to generate reliable transcriptomic data from blood samples from humans and from animals typically used in preclinical models. Blood samples from a maximum of six individuals and four different species (rabbit, non-human primate, mouse and human) were extracted and sequenced in triplicates. The workflow was evaluated using different wet-lab and dry-lab criteria, including RNA quality and quantity, the library molarity, the number of raw sequencing reads, the Phred-score quality, the GC content, the performance of ribosomal-RNA and globin depletion, the presence of residual DNA, the strandness, the percentage of coding genes, the number of genes expressed, and the presence of saturation plateau in rarefaction curves. We identified key criteria and their associated thresholds to be achieved for validating the transcriptomic workflow. In this study, we also generated an automated analysis of the transcriptomic data that streamlines the validation of the dataset generated. Conclusions: Our study has developed an end-to-end workflow that should improve the standardization and the inter-species comparison in blood transcriptomics studies. In the context of vaccines and drug development, RNA sequencing data from preclinical models can be directly compared with clinical data and used to identify potential biomarkers of value to monitor safety and efficacy. : Have you ever been in the trenches of a complicated study only to be interrupted by a not-so urgent phone-call? We were, repeatedly– unfortunately. : To increase productivity of radiologists by quantifying the main source of interruptions (phone-calls) to the workflow of radiologists, and too assess the implemented solution. : To filter calls to the radiology consultant on duty, we introduced an automatic voicemail and custom call redirection system. Thus, instead of directly speaking with radiology consultants, clinicians were to first categorize their request and dial accordingly: 1. Inpatient requests, 2. Outpatient requests, 3. Directly speak with the consultant radiologist. Inpatient requests (1) and outpatient requests (2) were forwarded to MRI technologists or clerks, respectively. Calls were monitored in 15-minute increments continuously for an entire year (March 2022 until and including March 2023). Subsequently, both the frequency and category of requests were assessed. : 4803 calls were recorded in total: 3122 (65 %) were forwarded to a radiologist on duty. 870 (18.11 %) concerned inpatients, 274 (5.70 %) outpatients, 430 (8.95 %) dialed the wrong number, 107 (2.23 %) made no decision. Throughout the entire year the percentage of successfully avoided interruptions was relatively stable and fluctuated between low to high 30 % range (Mean per month 35 %, Median per month 34.45 %). : This is the first analysis of phone-call interruptions to consultant radiologists in an imaging department for 12 continuous months. More than 35 % of requests did not require the input of a specialist trained radiologist. Hence, installing an automated voicemail and custom call redirection system is a sustainable and simple solution to reduce phone-call interruptions by on average 35 % in radiology departments. Analysis of 28 manuscripts of Gregorius IX Decretales kept in Spain that were identified in the catalogues of manuscripts kept in I.R.H.T. and at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. These reports deal with the origin and the dating, the recipients, the texts, the ornamentation, the pecia, the owners, and the bibliography. The graphics inform us about the distribution of the data. These manuscripts were produced in Italy and France, and date from the XIIIth to the XIVth centuries. The recipients are Bologna and Paris. The explicits inform us about artisans. These manuscripts have especially a painted ornamentation. Three manuscripts have pecia’s mentions. The owners are students, jurists, ecclesiastics and religious houses.

Communication failures among clinicians in the ICU (intensive care unit) often lead to worse patient outcomes. CritCom is a bilingual (English and Spanish) tool to evaluate the quality of interdisciplinary communication around patient deterioration for pediatric oncology patients. The use of reports, such as the CritCom report, as dissemination methods lead to quicker knowledge translation and implementation of research findings into policy. Nurses and physicians at participating centers who care for patients at risk of deterioration completed the CritCom survey and center-specific reports were generated to communicate CritCom results. Focus groups were conducted with clinicians receiving CritCom reports in both English and Spanish to evaluate report clarity and usability. Participants found the reports to be useful and described the writing and design as clear and specific. Participants provided feedback to improve report design and requested actionable steps to improve communication at their center. Feedback illustrated that the report was easy to interpret and a useful way to disseminate information. Participants noted the utility of the report, illustrating that the use of reports can be a useful method to disseminate research findings back to participants in a way that is applicable to the local context. Communicating research findings through reports can minimize the significant time lag in knowledge translation and provide participants with actionable steps to implement in their setting.

It is associated with a high fatality rate if it is not promptly diagnosed and treated.Case Summary: We report an unusual case of a 20-day-old male baby with Plasmodium vivax malaria from Western Ethiopia, suspected primarily on the basis of positive maternal history that mother had attacks of malaria in the 3rd, 5th, and 8th months of gestation and was cured with artemether-lumefantrine therapy. Infant presented with vomiting and a high-grade fever. The blood film of the baby showed trophozoites stage of Plasmodium vivax with a parasite density of +3. The neonate had severe thrombocytopenia (49,000/micro liter) and Splenomegaly (spleen was palpable 2cm along its line of growth). The patient was admitted to the hospital and treated with artesunate for five days and discharged on the sixth day of admission in stable condition.Conclusion: Sick neonates born to mothers in malaria-endemic areas or with a history of malaria attack(s) in the index pregnancy should be promptly investigated for malaria.Keywords: congenital malaria, case, report, western Ethiopia, plasmodium vivax

Bohumil Para (1861-1915) was an Austro-Hungarian consul who spent most of his diplomatic service in the Ottoman Empire, primarily in the Kosovo Vilayet. He was first employed in Pljevlja, in the Command of the occupation troops (1891-1898), and then in the Consulate in Skopje (1898-1906). Long-term presence in these areas and dedication to work made him a good connoisseur of the situation, so his reports are indispensable material in the reconstruction of the past. Apart from dedication to work, Para was characterized by loyalty and exceptional attachment to the Austro-Hungarian state, which was reflected, among other things, in the translation of his name into German. Due to these facts, his reports should be approached with a degree of caution, and subjectivity can be observed through detailed analysis and comparison with other correspondence. It should be noted that Para served as a consul in Skopje, which, before the opening of the consulate in Mitrovica, was extremely important for Austria-Hungary's further plans and penetration to the east. The analyzed report is dated August 6, 1901 and was created after the events in Mitrovica and Novi Pazar, known in historiography as the Kolašin Affair. In Para's report, which is quite voluminous, very little attention is paid to specific events on the ground. His attention is more aroused by the presence of the Russian consul Mashkov and the companions of Captain Ritich and Vsevolod Sviatkovsky, a correspondent of the Novoe vremja newspaper. He accuses Captain Ritich of getting familiar with the terrain, i.e. "military-geographical" recordings, while the well-known journalist Sviatkovski is held responsible for the campaign that was conducted in the press of Serbia and Russia against AustriaHungary and him personally as the instigator of the weapons investigation among the Serbs. Regarding Consul Maskov, Para says that he did not miss the opportunity to agitate among the Christian population against Austria-Hungary and the construction of the so-called Bosnian Railways. In addition to following the activities of Russian diplomacy, Bohumil Para in the report dealt with the personal relationships of certain officials of the Ottoman Empire, looking for those susceptible to Serbian influence. Attention should also be drawn to the vocabulary used by Para in the report. It is a standard terminology found in his reports, as well as in the reports of other Austro-Hungarian consuls. He consistently used the term Christians in different variations to denote the non-Muslim population in the Kosovo Vilayet, although he was well aware that they were Serbs, especially in the area north of the Šara Mountain. In this way, we would say, the Austro-Hungarian propaganda tried to create a new entity. Para used the terms Serbia and Serbian to denote the Kingdom of Serbia and its institutions. The Serbs in the Ottoman Empire are mentioned only as part of the South Slavs, opposed to the Bulgarians around Macedonia. Also interesting is the use of the name of the Albanian leader Isa, whose surname Boljetinac is used in the Serbian / Slavic variant, and not Albanianized, as historians claim today. That variant of the (sur)name, then generally accepted, indicates that it is a newcomer to the Serbian living space. Even a partial review of this report by Para indicates that it is a rather subjective approach, with a clearly prescribed terminological use. This indicates that the Austro-Hungarian diplomacy worked according to precisely established rules, in order to achieve the set tasks.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to determine the impact of the "PSG Balita" app on reporting toddlers' nutritional status. METHODOLOGY: A quasi-experimental design study was conducted in 2022 in Aceh Province, Indonesia . The sample consisted of 123 health centre nutritionists responsible for monitoring the nutritional status of children under five years, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews and observations using a questionnaire assessing timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and usefulness. The intervention involved a six-month training program using the "PSG Balita" application on the Android platform. Data analysis was performed using the Repeated Measures ANOVA test at a 95% confidence interval. RESULTS: After implementing the application for six months, there was a significant increase (p < 0.05) in the timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and usefulness of nutritional status data for toddlers. These results demonstrate that the "PSG Balita" application supports generating high-quality data on toddlers' nutritional status and enhances nutrition data reporting. CONCLUSION: Utilizing the "PSG Balita" app has streamlined children's nutritional status tracking, ensuring high precision and early detection of malnutrition risks. Most importantly, it has improved the quality of nutritional status data.

Introduction and purpose: Medications are the most common therapeutic intervention, and the safe use of medication and the existence of processes to improve the safety of medicine are of prime importance. Since nurses have a major role in implementing medication orders, they play a vital role in promoting safety and reducing medication harm to patients. Therefore, the present study was conducted to determine the barriers to reporting medication errors by nurses of teaching hospitals affiliated with Gorgan, Iran, in 2021. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 340 nurses from Gorgan teaching hospitals were selected by a randomized stratified method in 2021. The data collection tool was a demographic information checklist and a valid questionnaire of barriers to reporting medication errors. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS software (version 16). Moreover, descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, Spearman, Mann-Whitney, and Kruskal-Wallis correlation coefficients were used. Results: The average age of the nurses was 33.11 ± 7.36 years, and 290 (85.3%) participants were female. The average score of reporting obstacles in the area of "fear of management factors" was higher than other areas (3.20±0.50), followed by the areas of "fear of reporting consequences" (3.17±0.35) and "factors related to the reporting process" (2.87±0.63) were in the next ranks. The highest average in the areas of "fear of the consequences of reporting", "factors related to the reporting process" and "fear of managerial factors", were respectively related to "fear of legal issues" (3.94±1.11), "unclear definition of medication error" (3.54±1.05), and "disproportionality of the officials' reaction with wrong hierarchy of importance" (3.75±0.96). The service sector had a significant relationship with the overall score of barriers to reporting medication errors (P=0.020) and the area of fear of managerial factors (P=0.017) in a way that the barriers to reporting medication errors by the nurses of the Emergency Department were higher than the other parts. Conclusion: Among all reporting barriers, "fear of legal issues" had the highest score. Due to the existence of factors such as fear of judicial issues and the inappropriate reaction of hospital officials, it is suggested to define the error reporting process and how to handle medication errors and train hospital managers on how to deal with the person at fault.

The purpose of the article is to cast light upon the problem of researching published sources on the history of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine, as well as to supplement the achievements of previous researchers and to propose a detailed analysis of the situation and activities of the Kyiv diocese and its monasteries, presented in the published reports of the ober-procurators of the Holy Ruling Synod between 1884 and 1914. The scientific novelty of the material presented in this article lies in the fact that, for the first time in the national historiography, “All-Public Reports of the Ober-Procurators of the Holy Synod” between 1884–1914, which were published and open to the general scientific community, were subjected to a detailed analysis. The authors also clarify the level and significance of information about the situation in the Kyiv Eparchy, its clergy, its numbers, its composition, as well as the cultural, educational and charitable activities of its monasteries. The article argues that the essence of the reports by the ober-procurators of the Holy Ruling Synod on the situation in the Kyiv Eparchy and its monasteries is practically undeveloped in the scientific literature. Such reports were addressed to the head of the Russian Orthodox Church – the Russian Emperor. They are an important and extremely informative source for modern researchers, familiarity with which will permit them to assess the general condition of the main confession in the empire. More specifically, these reports reveal the state of the Kyiv Eparchy for each calendar year. Every report had a relatively standard structure and was published as a separate book. An analysis of these sources makes it possible to establish the role and place of the hierarchs of the Kyiv Eparchy in the overall structure of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as their personnel and activities. Furthermore, additional information, provided in the reports on the number of Orthodox monasteries in the Kyiv Eparchy and the number of monks, is of particular interest, which allows the authors to trace the dynamics in changes in these numbers over thirty years. The study of the reports reveals new information on the life in the Orthodox monasteries in the Kyiv region, in relation to their charitable, cultural and educational activities.

Usage of website is increasing due to its ease of access. An increase in website users should be accompanied by an increase in website security to prevent unwanted things, such as data breach. Penetration testing is used to reduce risk due to security factors. OWASP has Web Security Testing Guide (WSTG) with 12 test types. Not all tests can be tested, but there are patterns that can be used as a reference whether the test is possible or not. This pattern can be used to automate test mapping for each endpoint. Reporting of incidents and near misses among healthcare professionals can help target improvement efforts and system changes to reduce the likelihood of patient injury. This study explored barriers that hinder healthcare professionals' disclosure of incidents and near misses in hospital settings in Saudi Arabia. Cross-sectional data were collected using a qualitative semi-structured interview with 30 participants, including surgeons, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, and healthcare quality staff during January and February 2020. Barriers reported by the participants were classified across six themes: fear, lack of knowledge, lack of leadership support, workload, reporting system, and lack of motivation. Health leaders must ensure that the reporting process is planned, designed, and implemented in a nonpunitive manner. When selecting middle-level managers, their knowledge regarding quality of care and patient safety practices should be assessed. The findings of this study add to existing knowledge regarding the barriers preventing the reporting of incidents and near misses among healthcare professionals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to determine the impact of the "PSG Balita" app on reporting toddlers' nutritional status. METHODOLOGY: A quasi-experimental design study was conducted in 2022 in Aceh Province, Indonesia. The sample consisted of 123 health centre nutritionists responsible for monitoring the nutritional status of children under five years, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews and observations using a questionnaire assessing timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and usefulness. The intervention involved a six-month training program using the "PSG Balita" application on the Android platform. Data analysis was performed using the Repeated Measures ANOVA test at a 95% confidence interval. RESULTS: After implementing the application for six months, there was a significant increase (p < 0.05) in the timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and usefulness of nutritional status data for toddlers. These results demonstrate that the "PSG Balita" application supports generating high-quality data on toddlers' nutritional status and enhances nutrition data reporting. CONCLUSION: Utilizing the "PSG Balita" app has streamlined children's nutritional status tracking, ensuring high precision and early detection of malnutrition risks. Background: High-tension electrical burns are rare but devastating injuries with high mortality usually from overwhelming sepsis, poor cardiovascular support and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. However, survivors of such burns have varying degrees of injuries with significant morbidity especially after radical amputation to save their lives. The objective of this case report was to present this rare scenario and highlight the importance of prompt intervention and acute surgical management that improves survival. Case Report: This was a descriptive case report of a 23-year-old male, a survivor of high-tension electrical burns (11,000 volts) to both upper limbs. He was immediately admitted into the intensive care unit with ventilatory support and multi-disciplinary approach to care. He had some investigations which included daily full blood count, serum electrolytes, urea and creatinine, clotting studies, blood sugar, urine analysis, lactate level, iron and creatine kinase studies, chest X-rays, electrocardiogram and abdominopelvic scan. He had multiple blood products transfusion; antibiotic therapy, staged surgeries including bilateral shoulder disarticulation to control sepsis and preserve life. He was discharged home with healed disarticulated shoulders and satisfactory clinical condition after 35 days on admission. Conclusion: Early resuscitation, cardiovascular support in the intensive care unit, urgent wound debridement and amputation of devitalized limb were life-saving interventions. This report provides a brief overview of family statistics, including the number of families and households, family composition, ethnic and racial diversity, marriage and divorce rates, family income, employment rates, and education levels for the state of Washington in the USA. Key findings of the report provided a snapshot of the challenges facing Washingtonian families, such as economic insecurity, lack of affordable housing, inadequate access to healthcare, and disparities in educational opportunities.
