5. Lithium metal batteries with in situ copolymerized fluorinated polyether electrolytes.

Abstract

Ether electrolytes are an important component of lithium metal batteries. However, the safety hazards from liquid solvent leakage and combustion, as well as the relatively narrow electrochemical stabilization window, are challenges for ether electrolytes. Although polyether electrolytes avoid the risk of leakage, they have a low room temperature ionic conductivity. Herein, a series of fluorinated gel polyether electrolytes were prepared via the in situ copolymerization of the monomer 3-(2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropoxy)-1,2-propylene oxide (TFPO) and 1,3-dioxolane (DOL) in different volume mixtures initiated by tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane (TB). Among them, the fluorinated copolyether electrolyte 0.03TB-TFPO/9DOL (TB concentration of 0.03 M, TFPO/DOL volume ratio of 1/9) demonstrated excellent overall performance with high oxidative stability (>4.5 V) and ionic conductivity (1.7 × 10−3 S cm−1 at 25 °C). The electrolyte was compatible with lithium metal and its cycling stability was significantly improved in Li–LiFeO4 batteries. Moreover, this non-flammable and non-leakage fluorinated copolyether electrolyte provides an important guarantee for the safety of lithium metal batteries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

12. Bench‐stable potassium complexes for living and isoselective ring‐openingpolymerization of rac‐lactide

Abstract

To develop bench‐stable and nontoxic catalysts for the ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of lactides is of importance with the aim of reducing costs in industrial production. Although, recently, some potassium complexes have been reported for the living polymerization of rac‐lactide (rac‐LA), the moisture sensitivities of these complexes prevent their further applications in the mild polymerization condition. In this work, three bench‐stable potassium phenolates as isoselective catalysts for the ROP of rac‐LA were reported, and the moisture stability of these complexes does not inhibit their high activity under mild conditions even in the presence of trace water (2.0 equivalent relative to the catalysts) or unpurified solvents. The controllable polymerization reactions can afford polylactides with desirable molecular weights, which can be high up to Mn= 80.0 kg/mol at an anhydrous condition and Mn= 54.3 kg/mol in presence of trace water. A best isoselectivity of Pm= 0.83 also can be achieved in this system at −70°C.

Survival analysis used the Kaplan and Meier methodology. The mean follow-up time was 2.6 years. The phenotypic T cells subtypes were evaluated by flow cytometry.Results: Of these patients, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves analysis were used to confirm the cut-off value, and patients were stratified into NLR>2.5 (n=88) and NLR≤2.5 (n=59) groups. Survival analysis showed that patients with NLR≤2.5 had significantly favorable overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) compared with patients with NLR>2.5. After stratified with the tumor mutational burden (TMB), we further found that patients with NLR≤2.5 had significantly favorable OS and PFS compared with patients with NLR>2.5 in the group of patients with TMB>10, while in group patients with TMB≤10, patients with NLR≤2.5 had no significantly favorable OS and PFS compared with patients with NLR>2.5.
