This study aims to examine the approach in teaching practice to "muallaf" (Muslim indigenous people: "orang asli") and the factors of attraction toward the acceptance of Islamic understanding among them. The study was conducted at the village of "muallaf orang asli" at Paya Sendayan, Temerloh Pahang, Malaysia. Design of this study are using the qualitative methods. Data were collected by observation and selected informant interviews based on purposive sampling methods. Data were analysed using the thematic methods. The results of the study found that the approach in teaching practice to "muallaf orang asli" is "syarah" (explanation) and discussion presented through storytelling, stimulation method and "talaqqi musyafahah" (face to face). Meanwhile, the results of the attraction factors toward the acceptance of teaching and learning among "muallaf orang asli" are aspect of reward, facilities, understanding and skills of teachers or educators for the socio-culture and role model shown by teachers or educators as well as the Muslim community nearby the living community. The findings of this study show that the teaching and learning of "muallaf orang asli" should be organized systematically in line with the factors of attraction in order to increase interest and earnestly.

The study aims to describe the success of the collaborative supervision between the head of the madrasah and the teachers at five private madrasah tsanawiyah in Gresik. This research, a qualitative case study design, involved the head of the madrasah and the teachers of five private madrasah tsanawiyah. Instruments used include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research findings demonstrate the significant positive impact of collaborative supervision on teachers' creativity and professionalism and its direct correlation with students' improved learning quality and learning outcomes. Collaborative supervision has been successful in enhancing the creativity of teachers in the implementation of a multicultural-based independent curriculum. The implications of the findings provide a strong basis for educational institutions to consider implementing more effective collaborative supervision strategies in the context of a multicultural-based independent curriculum. The importance of considering cultural and multicultural contexts is also highlighted in designing educational supervision programmes and strengthening the inclusive learning environment.

The development of postmodern-era technology in the world of education is increasingly sophisticated, thus impacting the character of students and their social environment. Technological progress negatively affects the lives of today's generation. When misuse of technology is widespread, it is imperative to strengthen cultural and religious filtration. So that the influence of globalization on technological development can be minimized. So as not to damage the cultural values and morality of students as the next generation of the nation. This study aims to explain the importance of transforming the values of Bima's local wisdom "Nggusu Waru" through the media of social studies e-books. The results and conclusions of this study are efforts to develop students' social character that require teacher collaboration, supervision, and optimal parental attention so that their interest in learning is higher and minimizes deviant behavior. This research method uses research and development design. At the stage of preliminary studies with models developed by Borg and Gall. Through several stages of research, information gathering, development of initial forms of products, and initial field testing. In this step, data is collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The data is analyzed to find out some of its weaknesses and shortcomings.

This research aims to produce integrated biology teaching materials with the values of the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah that are valid and effective in improving cognitive, psychomotor, and strengthening students' faith and devotion. This development research (R&D) uses the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, i.e. analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques used were literature studies, observations, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data collection instruments used include interview sheets, validation sheets, questionnaire sheets, pre-test and post-test question sheets, observation sheets, and checklists. The teaching materials were validated by three validators (material experts, learning experts, Al-Qur'an/Hadist experts), and practitioners from several biology teachers from different schools. The data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively (triangulation). The research results showed that the teaching materials developed met the very valid category based on the assessment of material experts, learning experts, Al-Qur'an/Hadist experts, and practitioners. Moreover, the products received excellent responses from the students. The teaching materials could improve students' cognitive and psychomotor and also increase students' values of faith and piety. Further action will be extended to schools, especially schools with Islamic nuances so that they can be used both as self-taught materials for students and as teaching materials for teachers to use in the learning process.

This study aims to ascertain the impact of the Active learning method on high-order thinking skills (HOTS) within the realm of Islamic education. Our primary contribution is the comprehensive meta-analysis of various preliminary and university educational studies. Using RStudio, we analyzed the differences in effect sizes, variations, and groups among studies. The findings indicate that the Active learning method significantly enhances HOTS, with the mixed learning method showing the most pronounced effect. We adopted a systematic approach, examining diverse learning methods like genre-based learning and blended learning model. Our research design entailed a meticulous meta-analysis of pre-existing literature rather than primary experimental or survey-based methods. However, we identified high heterogeneity in effect sizes as a limitation, suggesting the need for more nuanced studies in varied contexts. This research underscores educators' need to adapt learning strategies suited for specific educational levels, pointing towards a brighter horizon for tailored pedagogical interventions.

Background: Early Childhood Education Institutions (ECEIs) require a model for the cultivation of religious values from an early age. Religion encompasses fundamental values that strongly instil belief in the existence of God and promote harmonious relationships among individuals. This study examines the role of ECEIs in fostering religious values in early childhood. Aim: This study aims to explore the cultivation of religious values in early childhood, which includes philosophy and models of the cultivation of religious values. Setting: This research was conducted in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Methods: Researchers chose five early childhood educational institutions with 30 participants, teachers, and managers of early childhood educational institutions. The analytical approach used is the "Discovering Cultural Themes" model. Results: The spirit of 'Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madya Mangun Karso, and Tut Wuri Handayani' serves as the philosophy guiding teachers to act as role models, inspire enthusiasm, and recognise the potential of young children. This philosophy is broken down into four main themes: 'I Love the Earth', 'I Love Indonesia', 'Playing and Cooperating/We Are All Brothers', and 'My Imagination and Creativity'. The cultivation model includes introduction, habituation, and exemplary actions by parents and teachers. Conclusion: Philosophical values are cultivated through recognition, habituation, and example. The acculturation model starts from the identification of religious and cultural values followed by institutionalisation and encouragement by teachers and parents. Contribution: The role of early childhood educational institutions in the acculturation of religious values is a vital characteristic of schools managed by the government and foundations in Indonesia.

This study aims to examine the opinions of Religious Culture and Ethics Teachers (RCET) on mobbing in the workplace. The research focuses on RCET's definition of mobbing, the reasons for mobbing, the results of mobbing, and the suggestions of RCET to prevent mobbing. This study used the phenomenological method, one of the qualitative research methods. The data obtained from the interview forms were analyzed by the content analysis method. The findings were organized and presented under themes and sub-themes. The study group of the research was determined by a systematic sampling technique, one of the probability-based sampling methods. The study group of the research consisted of 35 RCET working in the middle schools of Mersin central districts in the 2023-2024 academic years. Findings revealed that participants defined the concept of mobbing using terms such as pressure, violence, distress, attack, discomfort, implication, and exposure. It was found that participants expressed reasons for mobbing, such as establishing dominance, jealousy, inadequacy, and conflict of interest. It was determined that participants indicated the results of mobbing, such as asynchrony, inefficiency, failure, resignation, reluctance, and fear-anxiety. The participants suggested solutions such as support, awareness activities, relationships and communication, knowledge of legislation and laws, equality, responsibility, trust, problem identification, solution orientation, and providing education. Increasing faith engagement among Catholic school shareholders is a priority for school leaders. Catholic school communities can learn from this year-long project with a parish school. Sacred Heart Parish School serves approximately 300 K3-8th grade students. Like many parish schools, Sacred Heart sees a growing number of parents disengaged with the faith life of the parish and school, despite 98% of them being registered parishioners. The parent population enjoys robust and regular social activities, but report they are uncomfortable or uninterested in faith activities. The mission of Sacred Heart school is to nurture "children's growth in the Catholic faith," so the fact that two-thirds of parents are disengaged with or hostile to the mission is problematic. Sacred Heart's intervention project built on the natural social strengths of parents, catalyzing parent leaders to design a wide variety of faith activities designed to overcome their peers' discomfort and lack of interest. The peer-led interventions increased not only attendance at faith activities, but also financial stewardship to the parish and attendance at weekend liturgies. Parents responded most enthusiastically to invitations targeted to grade-level Mass experiences, so parent leaders focused future efforts on enhancing "Class Mass" initiatives for families.

There are rising cases of disrespect in Kenyan society amid efforts by Christian Religious Education (CRE) in secondary schools to make the learner appreciate and respect their own, and other people's cultural beliefs and practices. The morals of the secondary school graduates enrolled in colleges and society do not reflect the acquisition of values learnt through CRE. Despite the exposure of students to the Christian Religious Education curriculum, cases of disrespect, for instance, drug abuse, abortion, arson in schools, hate speech, religious and ethnic hatred continue being witnessed everywhere. The purpose for this study was to examine the Christian Religious Education teachers' perception on the use of valuing methods for learner value acquisition in National Secondary Schools in Kenya. The objective of the study was to establish the Christian Religious Education teachers' perception on the use of valuing methods for learner value acquisition and to find out the challenges they face in the process. The study was based on the Theory of Development of values. The study adopted mixed methods under the convergent parallel design. The target population of the study was 95 national secondary schools in Kenya with a total of 224 CRE teachers. However, 30% of schools and teachers were sampled. The study sample size was 67 CRE teachers. The study employed stratified and simple random sampling to select the schools for study and purposive sampling technique to select CRE teachers to participate in the study. Data was collected through the questionnaire, document analysis, and interview and observation schedules. The validity and reliability of data collection instruments was done through use of experts and piloting respectively. The quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics presented in frequencies and percentages while the qualitative data was analyzed in thematic coding. The study revealed that CRE teachers are conscious of certain values that the CRE content is to facilitate to learners and are aware that particular content may not only transmit a single value depending on how it is facilitated they are however not keen on being specific on relating particular content to particular values. The main reasons perceived by the teachers to this non-use was noted as overcrowded curriculum, insufficient in-service training and the seeming neglect of the affective domain in teaching and examinations. Much as majority of the teachers do not use valuing methods, they however perceive them as having positive characteristics that can enrich content acquisition by learners. Study recommends that the syllabus be explicit in mentioning particular values in relation to particular teaching content. On this note the study recommends that KICD should work very closely with CRE subject specialists to ensure that the affective domain in the teaching of CRE is given adequate guidance.

In the last decade, Europe has welcomed numerous migrants and refugees from Arab countries. The presence of these migrants and refugees in schools has posed the challenge of unfamiliar realities for teaching staff. The issue has been addressed from the perspectives of sociology to psychology, providing insights into the nature of intercultural education. Few studies have delved into pupils' cultural backgrounds, and the history of one's country of origin is seldom regarded as a decisive factor in the formation of identity. The Arabic-speaking Moroccan and Syrian communities are the most significant and have interesting histories and education systems. Using Nussbaum's (2010) multifactorial analysis, this research aims to better understand the educational background of Arabic-speaking pupils, focusing on humanities and religious education of those from Morocco and Syria. The methodology embodies qualitative empirical research conducted in Europe that addressed the main factor identified by Nussbaum (2010). The results show the education experience of Syrian and Moroccan pupils was affected by their home country education policies, especially where minority and relationship issues with Europe, the West and Israel were concerned.

This research aims to analyse whether the increasing use of case-based learning (CBL) by madrasa aliyah teachers in Indonesia improves their teaching skills in the field of education. This study employed a quasi-experimental technique and data from a CBL intervention programme to investigate how CBL is connected with teachers' hybrid teaching skill. The data was analysed using the difference-indifference design. In general, the teaching skill of madrasa teachers is solely treated as a predictor of the practice of teaching Islamic religious education. Still, we discovered that the greater use of CBL in hybrid learning can favorably affect the teaching skill of madrasa teachers. CBL is positively associated with student involvement and teaching in learning among the madrasa teacher teaching skill subscales. However, according to our data analysis, students' favourable responses to Islamic religious education, and hybrid learning practices can moderate the link between CBL and the teaching skill of madrasa teachers. This study has significance for the CBL model's growth in strengthening the teaching skill of madrasa teachers in distance learning Islamic religious education.

Electronic student worksheets (e-worksheet) are needed as alternative teaching materials in learning. This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of e-worksheet based on Search Solve Create and Share (SSCS) Islamic context to improve science process skills on class XI excretory system material that is worthy of the results of validity, responses of students and biology teachers. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Bogor. The research model used is a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but in research only to the development stage (Develop). The e-worksheet teaching materials developed are tested for validity. The results of validity tests by design and media experts obtained 89% in the very decent category, material expert assessments obtained 84% in the very feasible categories, and expert assessments of Islamic religious education obtained 100% in the very feasible categories. The results of student responses obtained percentages of 89% in limited trials and 89.7% in expanded trials. Based on the findings of the research results, it can be concluded that E e-worksheet based on Search Solve, Create and Share (SSCS), an Islamic context to improve science process skills on the excretory system material developed, is very feasible to be used and applied to biology learning.

This research aimed to investigate science learning in Tanfidz Boarding School. The focus of this research are: (1) Factors affecting students of a religious boarding school toward science learning, (2) Islamic boarding school students' perception and attitude toward science learning (value of science learning to religious boarding school students), (3) students' perception toward pleasant science learning. This was qualitative research. Method used in this research was phenomenology. Data collecting technique was an interview. Data analysis techniques applied were: collecting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study were the school's vision and mission, parents, science teachers and religion teachers caused students to like or dislike science. Students assessed science as important because it was a provision to continue higher education, it was useful for carrying out daily activities, and it had historical considerations to restore the glory of Islam through science. Pleasant learning, creative packaging, being able to motivate, to connect science and religion, investigative activities, being humorous, being able to connect science with everyday life and to explain well were students' perceptions of a good teacher. The reasons students selected Tahfidz boarding school were the attitudes of science teachers, religion teachers, its school vision and mission, and attitudes of parents. Pleasant learning by a professional teacher was conducted by presenting creative learning, and having good emotional control. The implication of the results of this research is that the management of science learning in religious-based Islamic boarding schools needs to pay attention to the desires and needs of students in learning.

Science learning today refers to the STEM approach from both primary education to higher education. Teaching materials are the second important part besides the role of creative and innovative teachers in the learning process. Teaching materials are used as learning resources that can be created and developed by the teacher according to the characteristics and needs of students and integrate other disciplines and values in it. The integration of several disciplines has a significant impact on learning outcomes. This study aims to understand the teacher's perception of the need for STEM-PjBL-based digital teaching materials integrated with local religion and wisdom. This research is the basis of development research conducted to develop digital science teaching materials based on STEM-PjBL integrated with religion and local wisdom. Respondents who participated in this study were 101 teachers from various islands in Indonesia. The technique used is a questionnaire by filling out ten questions on the questionnaire distributed via google form. The results showed that the teaching materials used by teachers in teaching science 55.45% came from the government in the form of teacher-student handbooks. The rest of the teachers use teaching materials sourced from publishers (39.60%) the rest use sources from the internet. There has not been found data on teachers using their own teaching materials or collaborating with the Teacher Working Group. While learning science as a whole without integrating other disciplines is 8.91%. Only 25.74% of teachers integrate technology and machines.

This study discusses the structure of Ibn Sina's thought and its contextualization in the contemporary era from a subjective point of view referring to aspects of soul purification. Ibn Sina divides the human soul into three parts, they are: "nabatiyyah," "hayawâniyyah," and "insâniyyah" souls. According to Ibnu Sina, human morals are in the "nabatiyyah," so the education that must be taught is education related to morals, cleanliness, and the arts, this education is carried out at the Early Childhood Education level. When the child is in the "hayawaniyyah," that is when the child can respond and move through sensing, then the student is in a state of stimulation through understanding the Qur'an, especially reading, and interpreting it, followed by lessons to be able to study, analyze and be critical of the meaning from every verse of Allah SWT, both "kauliyyah" (the Qur'an) and "kauniyyah" (the universe). In the "insâniyyah" soul, the child is endeavored to be educated so that they can integrate intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence, to create an integrative education, they are education that can unite the dimensions of service ("al-'Amilah") and spiritual ("al-'Alimah"). This literature review confirms that to achieve the goals of Islamic education, the educational model that is applied wherever possible leads to purification of the soul, because with a pure soul the process of entering knowledge into students' souls will be easy. The purpose of this study is to determine whether increasing the use of project-based learning (PBL) by madrasa aliyah teachers in Indonesia enhances their capacity in leadership competences. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach to investigate how project-based learning (PBL) is connected with teachers' leadership competency and analyzed the data using a t-test. In general, we found that the PBL program positively affected the leadership competence of madrasa teachers in Islamic religious education learning. Also, that the PBL program positively affected students' perceptions of the level of effort a teacher exerted to provoke interest. Estimating an instrumental variable approach on the subset of schools with the most substantial increase in PBL use found that PBL was positively related to teachers' perceptions of class preparation, attempts to induce teacher interest, and the frequency with which students share ideas in class. This study introduces teaching practice as a mediating factor that affects the leadership competence of madrasa teachers, a contribution to the literature that seeks to understand the development of madrasa teachers' leadership competencies in Islamic religious education learning. This research has implications for developing the PBL model in improving the leadership competence of madrasa teachers in learning Islamic religious education.

As a lot of juvenile Muslims tend to be less engaged with their religion and the history of mosques in their community, this study was conducted to develop a series of digital content in the metaverse combined with participatory communication and learning with religious leader to enhance students' perception of community Mosque (Darun Naim, Thung Kru District, Thailand). The objectives of this research were to survey needs, to develop and assess the quality of the aforementioned series of digital content, to evaluate students' perception, and to measure students' satisfaction. Materials of this study included questionnaires and forms to survey needs, assess the quality of the digital content and media presentation, evaluate subjects perception, and measure their satisfaction. A total of 30 subjects who were students from Al-Bidayah Religious School, Thung Khru District, Bangkok and had been members of Young Muslim Association Ban Khru for at least 1 year were selected through purposive sampling. After questionnaire-based data collection, mean and standard deviation were used as a statistical tool for data analysis. The results of this study showed that the outcome of needs assessment was at a high level. The overall quality of the content and media presentation was at a good and very good level, respectively. The findings of the assessment of students' perception and satisfaction were at the highest level. In summary, the developed digital content in the metaverse combined with participatory communication and learning with religious leader was of high quality and can be implemented.

There is a gap in the research on the relationship between secondary school subject departments, particularly where, as in the case of science and religious education (RE), there is not the traditional relationship that may be seen in science and maths or across humanities subjects. More awareness of content taught in other departments is important for pupils' coherent experience of curriculum and schooling. This article reports on data from 10 focus groups with 50 participants from six universities, where student teachers of science and RE revealed a complex picture of relationships between the two departments in their placement schools. Furthermore, this article reports findings from a survey where 244 teachers and student teachers of science and RE shared their perspectives on the relationship between the two school departments. The measure was adapted from Barbour's typology, a classification describing the nature of the relationship between science and religion in a range of literature. The terms 'conflict', 'independence', 'dialogue', 'collaboration' and 'integration' were presented to teachers of both subjects. Little evidence was found of conflict between science and RE departments, but more 'independence' than 'dialogue' between the two departments was reported. In the light of these findings, the benefits of boundary crossing are explored alongside the role teachers should play in boundary crossing.

This ethnographic case study utilizes intersectionality and sense of belonging to understand students' experiences in a Latino Bible study and how it contributes to their overall college experience. The findings suggest that the Bible study offers a unique space for students to explore faith, ethnic identity, and politics in a culturally appropriate format that helps them feel like family. This study helps demonstrate the value and role of student groups in students' college experience.

Service-learning, especially from a critical perspective, is a method of education that aims to bring students into relationships with community members to foster mutual understanding and give opportunity for shared learning and service. Universities that are compelled by their faith to seek justice may be the most effective at implementing service-learning programs when they are grounded in the justice and love of God. Herein, I report on a service-learning program that aims to advance the Christian mission by serving the least of these. I discuss lessons learned along the way and give examples from our partners.

A recent global reconnaissance of Christian higher education found a number of key themes that shaped current developments, such as the pressing challenges of secularization and nationalization but also the advantages of privatization and massification. This article provides an update to this older analysis by taking a birds-eye view of trends within the past 70 years of global Christian higher education. It reveals that privatization and massification trends do not predict new developments in countries and outliers always exist. Furthermore, it highlights some findings missed in previous analyses related to the importance of indigenous Christian groups and Christian general education.

Educators throughout the world are deeply concerned about what ChatGPT means for education. I argue that Christian educators must avoid extreme reactions and fulfill three key roles to remain focused on students' holistic formation: (1) casting a moral vision of truthfulness; (2) evaluating curricula, syllabi, and formal assessments while also creating a secure and explorative learning environment to learn about ChatGPT; and (3) exercising their authority through accountability measures and by paradoxically surrendering that same authority to foster dialogue. These three roles reflect the threefold office of Christ as a prophet, priest, and king and are explored using this Reformed motif.

Relating faith and learning is central to Christian education, but few large studies have examined how grade-school teachers understand this task. Witwer previously reported Likert-type data from 1059 teachers in Christian elementary and secondary schools. The present paper reports findings from 2356 open responses by 655 of those teachers. Teachers' responses associated faith with attitudes about teaching, presenting a Christian perspective on content, and using standard pedagogical practices more often than they reported using distinctive pedagogical practices or limitations in faith's influence on their teaching. These and other findings add to our understanding of how grade-school teachers perceive teaching Christianly.

There is a longstanding discussion in child theology around the role of cognition for faith formation. This article explores research in the area of disability theology in order to examine potential benefits for Christian ministry to the child. It suggests three areas which may be profitable: the importance of increasing information to accompany development; the importance of the role of the teacher as embodiment and model of discipleship; and the requirement to give better account for ritualised processes within evangelical children's ministry.

Alternative schooling has been staunchly advocated for by groups disillusioned by government-sponsored public schooling that want to take personal control of their children's education. There are concerns, however, about nontraditional schooling options that do not meet standards that apply to public schools. The "United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child" ("CRC") specifies children's fundamental educational rights. In the United States, this includes mastering basic English literacy and numerical abilities, as well as exposure to some scientific and historical knowledge needed to negotiate mainstream society. This paper focuses on how certain homeschooling and religious schooling practices run the risk of denying adolescents the right to the education necessary to work in the modern economy and achieve their potential. We argue that the United States should allow alternative schooling options but ensure that they conform to specific standards set by the state in order to meet the CRC goals.

This study aims to assess the critical thinking skills of adolescent students at junior high schools in Rantepao, particularly in the context of Christian education. This study used quantitative design research and a proportionate stratified random sampling method to select the sample. There are 66 students became the sample of this study. Data were collected through a questionnaire that assessed the student's critical thinking skills based on the critical thinking indicators. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive statistics calculation related to the variables of critical thinking skills. This study found that adolescent students at Junior High School in Rantepao have only a fair level of critical thinking skills in the context of Christian Education. This study highlights the need to improve students' critical thinking skills in Christian Education. Teachers should foster students' growth by focusing on their learning process and offering appropriate activities.

Argumentation is a rational method used in all areas of life, including education, to solve a problem, dispute or conflict. Our study is based on a discursive textual analysis of the use and possibilities of argumentation in religious education and our aim is to interpret the argumentation used in religious education through Habermas' model. For this purpose, we have analysed various texts selected from Islamic religion textbooks taught in Germany at primary, secondary and high school level. Our main finding is that Habermasian argumentation is successfully used in the textbooks in current events, whereas it is used in a "limited" and "conditional" way about historical interpretations. The main factor determining the boundary of argumentation is the requirements of the Islamic faith. The limit refers to the cessation of argumentation after a certain point. The condition, on the other hand, refers to the fact that a solution to the dispute can only be found by showing loyalty to a sacred source.

The basis for the inclusion of Christian Religious Studies (CRS) into the primary school curriculum in Nigeria was particular to the learning of morals and the development of societally acceptable values and attitudes. Presently, Nigeria is experiencing a high level of social vices, immoralities and an unprecedented amount of anti-social behaviours among youths. Of course, the considerable amount of problems generated by the increasing immoralities among primary school pupils of Lagos State was attributed to effectiveness in the teaching methodologies used for teaching and learning of CRS. Contemporarily, the use of computer-based technologies and digital tools for classroom teaching and learning proved to be effective because it engages primary school pupils. This study focused on the use of digital storytelling in the teaching and learning of CRS in Lagos State primary schools. The research was carried out to study the attitudes of primary school pupils toward CRS after the use of the "Teacher-Led Digital Storytelling Strategy" (TLDSS). Data obtained from the intervention revealed that primary school pupils exposed to TLDSS had the highest adjusted post-value acquisition mean score in CRS of 53.86. Again, there were observations from the study that primary school pupils exposed to TLDSS were significantly different from those exposed to conventional strategies (CS) in the teaching and learning of CRS in terms of value acquisition. The findings showed the effectiveness of the use of TLDSS for primary school pupils of Lagos State because TLDSS enhances primary school pupils' acquisition of values, achievement and development of positive attitude to CRS.

Teaching management has undergone a paradigm shift in the 21st century, from content-based to competency-based. The changing pedagogical landscape has posed a significant challenge to Islamic schools since many still adhere to traditional content-based instruction. To eliminate learning barriers and embrace modern education, this qualitative study investigated teaching management strategies for Islamic Education and key challenges that teachers encountered in cultivating global citizenship for learners. Data were collected from interviews focus group discussion and teaching observations with twelve school administrators and twelve Islamic education teachers, who were purposively selected from twelve schools in southern Thailand. Qualitative content analysis with data organization and classification identified that the schools employed six teaching management strategies to maneuver Islamic Education: emphasizing individual differences, integrating information and communication technology, associating off-class experiences, bridging localness with internationalness, integrating Science, and considering modern evaluation. Furthermore, the results revealed that the attitudes of the Islamic-education teachers were largely attached to conventional teaching styles, relied on subject matters that are less relevant to the needs of the global society, and developmental processes remained significantly ambiguous. Hence, these three challenges were found to be the prime obstructing factors of teaching capacities and adaptability that hindered educational cultivation for 21stcentury global citizenship. This study proposes new instructional models for private Islamic schools to transform their teaching toward 21st-century education.

The study aimed to reveal the effect of the infographic display style (fixed, animated, and interactive) on learning and retaining the vocabulary of the Noble Quran among third grade students. The study sample consisted of 112 male and female third grade students and were distributed into three groups the students' learning test was designed to learn the vocabulary of the Noble Quran according to the approved standards, and a quasi-experimental design was used. The results showed that all infographic patterns (fixed, animated, and interactive) have an impact on learning the vocabulary of the Noble Quran, but this effect is not equal between the patterns, the most influential is the interactive pattern, then the animated pattern, then the fixed pattern, and the results showed that the three patterns (fixed, animated, and interactive) had an impact on retaining learning the vocabulary of the Noble Quran, and that there were no differences between the three patterns in retaining learning the vocabulary of the noble Quran, and the study indicated to a set of recommendations, including encouraging teachers to employ multiple methods in teaching the vocabulary of the Noble Quran.

The purpose of this paper was to explore bilingual educators' perceptions of their strategies to maintain their cultural and religious identities within a multicultural society. This multiple case studies of three institutions employed semi-structured interviews and documents. The research question guides this study: What are strategies that have been utilized within the institutions, to further the aims of multicultural education? The data in this study was analyzed thematically via NVivo Qualitative data analysis. The finding of this study showed that the institutions were committed to providing a public education alongside a multicultural education -- respect for other religions, ethnicities, and cultures. These institutions have a strong commitment to their spiritual purpose and maintenance of their respective religious and cultural identities. The findings of this study have implications for the understanding of similar programs and the ways to preserve cultural and religious identities within educational contexts. Most studies of multicultural education have been conducted in public institutions resulting in little information on how ethnic institutions promote cultural and religious identities within their institutions and communities. This research contributes to the body of literature that examines the promotion of cultural and religious identities in ethnic institutions.

This research aimed to (1) create a charism model for personnel administration of school under the 'Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Apparition' in Thailand, in order to increase the commitment of personnel to the organization, and (2) demonstrate and improve the charism model. The research process was divided into three steps as follows: (1) developing a charism model, (2) demonstrating the model, and 3) enhancing the model. The findings revealed that the charism model for personnel management consisted of two factors. The first factor (charism) included (1) Agape Love, (2) Humility, (3) Altruism, (4) Vision, (5) Trust, (6) Service, and (7) Empowering. The second factor (personnel management) included (1) Planning, Recruitment and Positioning, (2) Promotion, Absence and Evaluation, (3) Performance, (4) Disciplinary Work and History Registration, (5) Code of Professional Ethics, and (6) Other Tasks Assignment. The researcher also developed a charism-based integrated personnel management manual for Saint Emilie school. The demonstration of the results revealed that lecturers and staff were satisfied with personnel management at the highest level. As the researcher considered each variable, the operational aspect had the highest average score, whereas salary, promotion, taking leave and evaluation had the lowest score. The six dimensions of the charism model for improving personnel administration were adjusted accordingly.

This qualitative study used a phenomenological approach and the Marianist characteristics as a conceptual framework to understand the experiences of six lay Marianist educational leaders during COVID-19. Findings indicate that, during the pandemic, leaders were faced with specific challenges: receiving an excess of information, facing inequity in technology, serving students with various learning needs, and attending to the socioemotional health of students and teachers. Despite these difficulties, the leaders were able to uphold the Marianist characteristics of educating for adaptation and change, in family spirit, and for formation in faith. This study is signif­i­cant because it provides unique perspectives on how leaders of a Marianist urban high school were able to advance their mission during a global health pandemic. The study also adds to the crisis and Marianist leadership bodies of literature.

Accountability pressures in education have risen steadily over the last two decades and public schools and districts now track school- and student-level data in response to state and federal mandates. Catholic schools and dioceses have not faced the same level of regulation over this period, and less is known about data access and use in the Catholic sector. This descriptive and exploratory research draws on survey and interview data from a national sample of Catholic school superintendents to examine data practices in diocesan central offices as well as barriers faced in the use of data. Findings suggest that although considerable variation exists among dioceses, common data efforts include working toward data centralization, developing tools to monitor the operational health of schools, and finding ways to foster the data culture within dioceses. These practices were present in close to half of all dioceses, but several common challenges related to governance, resources, and data systems hindered progress in and toward these efforts.

Curriculum development is imperative for the overall success of the educational system more so in sustainable development efforts. In the Philippines, the institutionalization of the Madrasah Education Program in public schools provides an opportunity to ensure access to quality and relevant education among Muslim-Filipino learners. The Refined Elementary Madrasah Curriculum serves as the foundation for creating instructional decisions to actualize educational outcomes. However, since the program's inception in 2004, there are various concerns, especially in terms of the elements of the curriculum. There is a dearth of professional literature on the curriculum development practices of Madrasah Education in the Philippines, especially in the planning phase. Thus, the study sought to discuss and explore the naturalistic model as an alternative to planning the Refined Elementary Madrasah Curriculum. This study employed a literature review and used a theoretical synthesis. The analysis revealed that there is a need to democratize curriculum planning initiatives. Furthermore, the implications of the naturalistic model in terms of the platform as anchored to 'Education in Islamic Perspective' as the point of inception in the planning process is unprecedented. The concept of democratization has highlighted the narratives of relevant stakeholders as part of the deliberation to form a holistic consensus. In curriculum design, decision points must be achieved to include deliberate plans for implementation and evaluation. In conclusion, the challenge to ensuring sustainable development in Madrasah Education Program is how to formulate genuine consensus from various stakeholders and create decision points that are relevant to the Philippine context. This study aimed to examine the effect of informal learning environments on students' academic achievement and attitude levels in the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge (RCMK) course. The study used a pretest-posttest experimental control group, quasi-experimental design model. An academic achievement test and Religion Culture and Moral Knowledge Course Attitude Scale were used as measurement tools. The study group comprised 116 students who continued their education in a private school at 4th and 5th grades. For the comparisons of attitude scale and achievement scores, independent samples t-tests were used. Before the posttests, the experimental group students attended mosque trips organized for the "Let's Get to Know the Mosque" unit. As a result of the study, it was observed that the attitude and academic achievement levels of the experimental group students towards the RCMK course increased after the implementation. It was found that informal learning had a significant and positive-positive effect on students' attitudes towards the course, and this effect was mostly on trust, benefit, interest, and liking sub-dimensions of the attitude scale, respectively.

Intolerance attitudes are still common in school environments, and governments must dedicate efforts to building religious moderation attitudes in society. It is explained in this study that intolerance cases have not been effectively reduced by religious moderation in religious and moral education learning in public schools. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied with data sources through observations, interviews, and textbook documents. The study objectively described religious moderation content in textbooks, the time allocation of Islamic religious education (PAI) learning in schools, and the supporting activities of religious moderation in schools. The content of the textbooks on Islamic religious and moral education has not yet contained comprehensive religious moderation indicators. It can be seen from the religious indicators' classification, such as national commitment, tolerance, antiviolence, and accommodation of local culture, that less time is available for religious and moral education. Therefore, the content of religious moderation needs to be integrated into all subjects. Likewise, extracurricular activities must be activated and filled by strengthening religious moderation, including Islamic spiritual activities. The importance of the understanding of teachers on religious moderation was proven by this finding because teachers are role models for students in religious attitudes. Additionally, evaluation is needed for educational stakeholders, such as educators, curriculum, and time allocation, to reduce intolerance cases. School stakeholders can be role models for implementing religious moderation in and out of schools.

The acceptance of different technologies in different classroom settings has been addressed in the current study. Integrating alignment theory with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study investigates the predictive differences between the use and adoption of four technologies. The technologies were used in Islamic study classrooms for four months during the spring semester of 2022 among the students of the Palangkaraya state Islamic religious institute in Indonesia. The survey questionnaire was distributed among students at the end of the semester. The results of this study revealed students' behavioral intentions to use all four digital technologies. However, the impact of adopting the classroom response system was larger followed by digital textbooks, mobile virtual reality and classroom chats. These results depict that students prefer the classroom response system and have little preferences for classroom chats while learning Islamic studies. The favorable results for the classroom response system, digital textbooks and mobile virtual reality depict that practitioners should consider the ease of access and affordability of these technologies at all educational levels to enhance students' learning capabilities.

This study aimed to determine the learning patterns and experiences of incarcerated adults within correctional settings and how their prison learning transforms their lives after they are released. In this qualitative research, semi-structured interviews were conducted to obtain the opinions of eight formerly incarcerated people who experienced educational practices during their serving time in prison. The snowball sampling technique was used to reach the target group of the study. Thematic analysis method was used during the data analysis process. The results of the paper, which are limited to the opinions of the participants in the study, showed that the change in the educational level of the prison population had led to a transformation in group dynamics among inmates in Turkey. Although former inmates experienced a permanent transformation in their lives after attending literacy courses, they could not carry on their religious practices after being released due to the struggle to make a living. Inmates who were not interested in educational programmes within prison managed their own learning processes as self-directed learners. Moreover, although inmates are certified through vocational training programmes, they have challenges in finding jobs when they re-enter society. Educational disruptions due to COVID-19 demonstrate that it is urgent to transform the prison education system into a technologically enriched learning environment in Turkey.

This research was motivated by some multicultural classroom students' reactions to practicing writing argumentative text including the fact that Indonesia's adult literacy rate of 95% is not accompanied by the ability to recognize and adopt composed facts, which on average is very little. This research was formerly aimed to depict how multicultural classroom students react to deploying rhetorical strategies to write and advance their linguistic skills as well as cultural diversity. The research approach adopted in this research was qualitative. The types of data sources in this study are documents in the form of various thesis manuscripts from a multicultural classroom of Masters' Study programs at UIN SATU Tulungagung. The data collection technique applied to the main data source in the form of archives or written documents is to rely on the note-taking technique and administrating one online questionnaire survey to thirty-two students as well as attending an interview. In the thesis of multicultural classroom deployed seven strategies counting definition, comparison, cause-and-effect, problem-solution, means-end, listing, partition strategies were applied by students in argumentative text units which they compiled at various levels, both at the sentence unit level, paragraph unit, and essay unit; several facets of appealing the students experience in writing argumentative text also appeared promoting linguistic and cultural diverse in composing argumentative text counting 5 linguistics facets and 2 cultural diverse such as argumentative state/disputatiousness, probing and assortment criticism, adopting composing typical, recognized arrangement, pondering on preceding insight, instructors' concentrating on awareness development, indigenous upbringing; experience of deploying rhetorical strategies in order to enhance linguistic skill counting conceptual and procedural knowledge to the same degree credibility, logic and emotion mainly deploying cognitive, social, search and metacognitive strategies.

The DepEd Order No. 41, s. 2017 catapulted the implementation of the Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education (ALIVE) Program. However, since its inception, there is a dearth of professional literature on a coherent sociological understanding of Muslim education in the Philippines. This paper aims to provide an understanding of the implementation challenges of the ALIVE program employing sociological perspectives. The study utilized a qualitative research method anchored on Case Study Research Model. Five ALIVE implementers in Metro Manila were part of the research participants. A thematic analysis was initiated and triangulation of data was employed from relevant data sources. The analysis results showed several challenges faced by the select ALIVE schools: The intended curriculum lacks appreciation of the approaches and evaluation of student learning. The scarcity of learning spaces was evident. In teaching, most of the "Asatidz" or Madrasah teachers require enhancement of their pedagogical competence. The cultural variance among Muslims is still evident, especially in non-Muslim communities. The findings indicate that there is a need to create deliberate plans to achieve the intended learning outcomes of the ALIVE Program. Given the various gaps and challenges identified in this study, there is a necessity to evaluate the program at the grassroots. In conclusion, maximizing and strengthening the participation of the various stakeholders and different sectors in society is imperative in the development and sustainability of Muslim education programs in the Philippines.

This study aimed to investigate the performance of teachers who have been certified and those who have yet to be in professional teacher certification programs in Jombang Regency East Java Province. The type of research is quantitative. Data were collected using questionnaires and a Likert scale with 5 answer choices. Data analysis was performed using a t-test for independent samples using SPSS. The respondent comprised 370 teachers, including 185 professional and 185 non-professional certified teachers. The findings revealed a difference in performance between certified and non-certified teachers. Teachers who have been certified perform better than teachers who have not. Based on the present study's findings, it is suggested that the government maintain teacher certification, with continuous improvement and innovation for better development. This research has implications for the government that teacher certification programs and policies are still worth for continuing, although they need to be enriched with innovation and creativity, technological developments, stakeholder needs, and strengthening religious culture.

The moral damage caused by the erosion of positive values and national character is quite concerning. This phenomenon has encouraged government concern through strengthening students' character. Strengthening students' character through formal education has not produced significant results, as evidenced by the many symptoms of moral decay and crime involving students in Indonesia. To overcome this, an alternative strategy is needed to elaborate between character education based on thoughts and hearts, which non-formal educational institutions can carry out. This research explores the "suluk" method as an alternative for forming religious characters for students who practice the Thariqah Al-Mu'min in West Kalimantan. This study uses a case study method and a qualitative approach. The research results found that; "suluk" can shape the religious character of students who practice the Al-Mu'min Order; these characteristics are; peace of mind, discipline, enthusiasm in worship, gratitude, trustworthiness, honesty, understanding the purpose of life, feeling close to Allah, feeling more moral than before, feeling more important in controlling lust, respecting others, increasing love for the hereafter, increasing longing for Allah and His Messenger, and sincere in worship. "Suluk" can give a deep religious impression and feel the presence of God in his life. This study emphasizes the importance of using the method of "suluk" in non-formal Islamic societies and formal Islamic education institutions such as Islamic boarding schools and religious colleges to form pious students. However, "suluk" also has weaknesses; only a thariqah practitioner can practice "suluk." The students must also be physically and mentally prepared because the "suluk" method requires seriousness to form a religious character in the performer.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between trust, professional learning community, and self-efficacy. Methodology: This study used a quantitative approach via a survey that consisted of 47 items to collect relevant data. This survey included 112 primary schools with 642 Malaysian Islamic education teachers. A multilevel analysis was carried out to investigate the effect of group level variables (trust and professional learning community) towards the individual level variable (self-efficacy). Whereas, the mediator test used the Monte Carlo bootstrapping method. Findings: Findings of the study suggests that the professional learning community mediates the relationship between trust and self-efficacy. Significance: The results of this study showed that the professional learning community is the most important element in determining teacher self-efficacy. The outcomes of this study should also assist administrators in maintaining the professional learning community in schools so that it can work more efficiently and effectively

The aim of this research is to investigate the impact of a self-concept-based Upanisad learning model integrated in mixed learning on the building of character and creative thinking skills. This study adopted a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control design. The population of the study consisted of 90 students. A random sampling technique was used to take the samples which consist of 60 students. Tests and questionnaires were used as data collection methods. The test instruments used were a description test with 10 items and a questionnaire with a total of 30 items. The analysis technique employs MANOVA in SPSS. The results showed that learning with the self-concept based Upanisad learning model simultaneously or partially impacts character and creative thinking skills. The results show that students who are taught using the self-concept based Upanisad learning model gain mean scores in character and creative thinking skills. Moreover, other results show that learning with the self-concept based Upanisad learning model is more influential on students' character than their ability to think creatively. Based on these conclusions, the researcher recommended that a self-concept-based Upanishad learning model be able to be used as an innovative learning model for improving character and creative thinking skills.

This study explores some of the demographic, personal, and experiential factors of emerging adults that correlate to a spectrum of moral outlooks ranging from moral universalism to moral relativism. Data was gathered from 466 volunteer undergraduate students. Respondents' demographic, experiential, and personal factors served as independent variables. The relativism index score form Forsyth's Ethics Position Questionnaire (1980) served as the dependent variable. Results suggest several conclusions: First, adults in the life of youth are a significant factor in moral outlook, exerting influence in both universalistic and relativistic directions. Second, religious practice and involvement contribute to a universal moral outlook. Third, the personal characteristics of grit and spiritual transcendence contribute to a universal moral outlook. Fourth, engaging in sexual activity outside of marriage contributes to a relative moral outlook. Fifth, a Catholic school education at both the grade and high school levels contributes to a universal moral outlook.

This study explores the commitment of a school faculty to use the pedagogical practices needed to employ a project-based unit of Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STREAM). The unit of study concentrated on environmental sustainability of butterflies through project-based learning (PBL). Teacher interviews were analyzed to reveal the similarities and differences, strengths and weaknesses in the teachers' reactions to implementing a cross-curricula content unit designed for a pre-kindergarten (PK) to eighth grade school. Analysis of teacher data and classroom artifacts provided evidence of: content mastery at the student levels; implementation of scaffolding for developmental levels; and the need for flexibility in scheduling. As a result of the study, the school leadership gained new perspectives regarding how the faculty understood and implemented STREAM programming. This study contributed to the knowledge base by informing teachers and educational leaders about the level of effectiveness STREAM can have within an K-8 school.
