Henry Gustave Hiller was born in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, England, in 1864. He worked in Liverpool as a stained glass artist, but was also a keen microscopist and an amateur entomologist and arachnologist, with a particular interest in the life histories of spiders. He was an active member of Liverpool's natural history societies in his leisure time where he combined his passion for natural history with his artistic talent. His arachnology and entomological illustrations of Argyroneta aquatica, Chironomidae and Culicidae are part of the zoology collections of National Museums Liverpool's World Museum. In retirement, he lived at Rhosneigr, Anglesey, Wales, where he studied and illustrated the reproductive structures of marine algae. The watercolour sketches of the British marine algae he prepared are preserved in the collections of National Museums Liverpool's World Museum herbarium (LIV) along with the dried specimens of seaweeds that he collected. Honduras is one of the least botanically studied countries in Central America. Most of the scientific botanical information for Honduras is housed in globally distributed herbaria, an often-under-used resource. A recently published checklist of ferns and lycopods from Honduras indicated that for the 713 taxa, often few distribution data are available and that we still do not know where fern and lycopod collections have taken place in the past. Therefore, the aims of this work were to (1) bring together for the first time a comprehensive inventory of fern and lycopod records from international herbaria and to (2) identify spatial, temporal and collector biases of these collections. Published and unpublished herbarium inventories of ferns and lycopod records were accessed from 2212 global herbaria. Of these, 39 hosted Honduran fern and lycopod collections. The final database included 22 194 herbarium records. Spatial and idiosyncratic collection biases are shown, with collections hotspots in areas such the Department of Francisco Morazán near the TEFH and Escuela Agrícola Panamericana (EAP) herbaria, in Celaque National Park near the city of San Pedro Sula and Tela and Lancetilla Botanical Garden. This unique database deposited at EAP, TEFH, LIV and Edge Hill University will enable Hondurans to share information to support the protection, restoration and sustainable use of their ecosystems. The diatom subclass Eunotiophycidae has recently expanded in composition. While it still includes a single order, the Eunotiales, and two families, the Eunotiaceae and Peroniaceae, the former includes four genera, Eunotia , Actinella , Semiorbis and Desmogonium , while the Peroniaceae includes only one, the genus Peronia . After discovery of the predominantly Southern Hemisphere genus Eunophora , a freshwater taxon superficially resembling species of Amphora , other species of diatoms with similarly confusing morphology have come into sharper focus. The recently described genus Amphorotia , based on Eunotia clevei , may be sister taxon (its most closest relative) to Eunophora . This paper presents evidence for including a Miocene, marine, fossil species, Eunotia reedii , with the more or less tropical species, Amphora reichardtiana , in the same genus. During the fall of 1985, we conducted a survey to evaluate the extent and the scope of pharmacy practice in college health institutions. We mailed self-administering questionnaires to all ACHA member institutions. Responses from 222 institutions (72.3%) showed that 41% of ACHA student health services have pharmacist-supervised drug distribution and control. Thirty-one percent of the institutions have a pharmacy and therapeutics committee. About 34% have an in-house pharmacy with a pharmacist in control. It is clear from this survey that the services of pharmacists are not generally available as part of comprehensive health care delivery in the college health setting. When pharmacists are involved, they are primarily active in the delivery of outpatient dispensing services, with a strong emphasis on the provision of drug information to patients and other health care providers.
