Abstract

本研究は, 降雨による斜面崩壊を予測することを目的としている。実験と数値解析により斜面崩壊のメカニズムについて検討を行った。間隙水圧と含水量を解く3次元浸透流解析によって斜面の安定解析を実施した。従来の水相のみの浸透流だけでなく, 水と空気の2相を解析する浸透流モデルを2次元の表層流および浸食/堆積モデルとカップリングし, 実験へ適用し検証を行った。数値解析により, 浸透流と斜面安定において間隙内の空気の影響は小さく, 2相で解析する必要性が低いことがい示された。, The purpose of this study was to predict the failure surface of a slope due to rainfall. Numerical and experimental study was performed to investigate the mechanism of the slope failure. Slope stability analysis was carried out in three dimensions using the pore water pressure and the moisture content calculated by three dimensional seepage flow model. Only a conventional water-phase seepage flow model as well as the water-air two-phase seepage flow model, coupled with two dimensional surface flow and erosion/deposition model, were used for seepage analysis. In numerical analysis, the influence of pore air on seepage and slope stability was found to be less significant.

Abstract

不飽和多孔質媒体内の流れは，水と空気の2相流れの問題となる。本研究では間隙内空気の流れの効果を考慮するために，多相流理論に基づき水と空気の2相流モデルの導入を行った。これまで天然ダムの斜面の安定解析では，突然の決壊を予測するために，間隙水圧と含水率を解く従来の水相流モデル，水と空気の2相流モデルによって解析されており，そのモデル内はJanbuの簡易的な方法だけでなく，平衡状態に基づいた拡張Spencer法などが用いられている。本研究では，拡張Spencer法を用いて2相流れを解析しており，実験結果とも比較的良く一致した結果が得られている。, Water flow in unsaturated porous media is water- air two-phase flow problem. Slope stability analysis of land slide dam has been carried out using pore water pressure and moisture content calculated by only a conventional water-phase flow model as well as the water-air two-phase flow model so as to predict the failure of dam due to sudden sliding. Janbu's simplified method as well as extended Spencer method based on limiting equilibrium considerations is used in slope stability analysis. Overall simulation results obtained by considering two-phase seepage flow combined with extended Spencer method of slope stability analysis are comparatively in good agreement with the experimentally observed results.

Abstract

Megacities are facing serious water pollution problems due to urbanization, rapid population growth and economic development. Water is an essential resource for human activities and socio-economic development and water quality in urban settings has important implications for human and environmental health. Urbanization and lack of sewerage has left the water in Jakarta, Indonesia in a heavily polluted condition. Rigorous assessment of urban water quality is necessary to understand the factors controlling water quality conditions. We use trend analysis to assess the current water quality conditions in Jakarta, focusing on Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), and Total Suspended Solids (TSS). In most monitoring stations analyzed, BOD and TSS concentrations have decreased over time, but from large starting concentrations. DO in most monitoring stations has increased. Although Jakarta’s water quality has shown some improvement, it remains heavily impaired. The average value of BOD is low in upper stream stations compared to middle and lower stream stations. BOD and TSS trends of some water quality stations in middle and lower streams show increasing trends. Cluster analysis results suggest three groups for BOD and TSS, and four groups for DO. Understanding water quality conditions and factors that control water quality suggest strategies for improving water quality given current trends in climate, population growth and urban development. Results from this study suggest research directions and management strategies to address water quality challenges. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
