This study aims at making a comparison between the first and second versions of the International Classification ofDiseases for Oncology (JCD-O) and of the ninth and tenth reviews of the ICD -from which it derives - to identify the main changes made and to present comments about the procedures to be followed at the time of their application. In relation to the previous editions, the second revision of the lCD for Oncology (ICD-O/2) and the tenth revision of the ICD (ICD-10) present formal and content changes, allowing for a better speciflcation of the diseases and health problems. In order to make thorough use of them, one must get acquainted with its contents as well as adapting to the modifïcations introduced in it. Este estudo tem por objetivo fazer uma comparação entre a primeira e a segunda versões da Classificação Internacional de Doenças para Oncologia (CID-O) e da nona e décima revisões da Classificação Internacional de Doenças (CID) - das quais são respectivamente derivadas para identificar as principais mudanças efetuadas e apresentar comentários com vistas à adoção de procedimentos a serem observados, quando de suas utilizações. Em relação às edições anteriores, a segunda versão da Classificação Internacional de Doenças para Oncologia (CID-012) e a décima revisão da Classificação Internacional de Doenças (CID-10) apresentam mudanças no aspecto formal e no conteúdo, propiciando melhor especificação das doenças e problemas relacionados à saúde. Para utilizá-las em sua plenitude, torna-se necessário conhecer seu conteúdo e adaptar-se às modificações nelas introduzidas.

Se presenta un sello circular cerámico con iconografía hebraica localizado en Lisboa en un contexto de época tardorromana. En él aparece una menorah esquematizada. En el presente trabajo, además de realizar un análisis iconográfico, tipológico y funcional del mismo se indaga sobre otros paralelos en clave diacrónica. También el sello ha servido de excusa para reflexionar sobre la presencia de la comunidad judaica en la Hispania romana., We present a ceramic circular stamp with Hebraic iconography located in Lisbon in a context of late Roman times. In it a schematized menorah appears. In the present work, in addition to carrying out an iconographic, typological and functional analysis of it, other parallels are investigated in a diachronic key. The stamp has also served as an excuse to reflect on the presence of the Jewish community in Roman Hispania.

Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado Integrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas apresentado à Faculdade de Farmácia A indústria farmacêutica tem vindo a enfrentar inúmeros desafios ao longo do tempo, tendo sempre demonstrado capacidade de se adaptar e desenvolver. Atualmente, a indústria está a atravessar uma fase de profunda transformação científica e tecnológica ao longo das diferentes fases do ciclo de vida do medicamento.Ao longo desta dissertação vão ser discutidas as principais forças impulsionadoras da atual revolução digital na indústria farmacêutica. Os principais tópicos de discussão serão em torno do impacto da inteligência artificial (IA) nas diferentes fases de investigação e desenvolvimento de novos fármacos, assim como as perspetivas do blockchain e do e-commerce nas cadeias de distribuição farmacêutica.Apesar de terem ocorrido vários avanços científicos ao longo dos anos, a investigação e desenvolvimento (I&D) de fármacos continua a ser um processo longo e dispendioso, com uma taxa de insucesso extremamente elevada. Deste modo, várias empresas, particularmente as startups de IA, encontram-se a desenvolver e a implementar modelos que visam a otimização de processos ao longo do desenvolvimento de fármacos.Nas cadeias de distribuição farmacêutica também estão a ser exploradas diferentes tecnologias digitais para fazer face aos problemas atuais. Alguns destes problemas estão relacionados com a falta de confiança e transparência entre os intervenientes. Assim, de forma a enfrentar estes desafios encontram-se atualmente em desenvolvimento diferentes estudos relativamente à aplicabilidade da tecnologia blockchain. Esta tecnologia visa monitorizar as cadeias de distribuição de forma segura e transparente, com o intuito de otimizar processos e minimizar custos operacionais, o erro humano, e práticas fraudulentas. De modo a fazer face às exigências desta transição digital, as empresas farmacêuticas terão de investir em recursos humanos com competências em tecnologias de informação, e encontrar estratégias para ultrapassar o apertado enquadramento regulamentar. Throughout time, the pharmaceutical industry has gone through multiple challenging circumstances and has consistently proven to be capable of adapting and prospering from them. Currently, the industry is going through substantial scientific and technological breakthroughs occurring at various stages of the medicine’s life cycle. The aim of this dissertation is to discuss the main driving forces behind the ongoing digital revolution occurring in the pharmaceutical industry. The main topics of discussion will be regarding the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) across different stages of drug discovery and development, as well as the prospects of blockchain technology and e-commerce in the pharmaceutical supply chain. Although there have been several scientific advances over the last years, the overall process of research and development (R&D) remains very lengthy and costly, with an extremely high failure rate. Therefore, multiple companies, particularly AI-based startups, are developing and applying models to optimize inefficient processes within the whole drug development cycle. In the supply chain, stakeholders are also exploring the use of digital technologies to address common issues. These comprise the lack of trust, transparency, and traceability between stakeholders. Thus, research on the use of blockchain technology is being conducted to address those challenges. The technology is prospected to monitor supply chains securely and transparently, optimizing workflows and reducing operational costs, human mistakes, and fraudulent practices. In order to cope with the demands of this digital transition, pharmaceutical companies will need to invest in IT expertise and find a strategy to overcome their strictly regulated and non-integrated environment.

A simulação de máquinas marítimas é uma área de grande desenvolvimento recente que apresenta potencialidades a serem exploradas no ensino na Escola Naval. Deste modo, o presente trabalho incide na sintetização do conhecimento existente relativo à simulação. Tendo a Escola Naval adquirido um conjunto de simuladores, “fullmission” e CBT (Computer Based Training), à UNITEST, estes tornaram-se o objeto de estudo deste trabalho devido à aplicabilidade imediata dos resultados obtidos no ensino da Escola Naval. Inicialmente, fez-se um estudo do estado da arte e um breve enquadramento teórico do que é a simulação de máquinas, como se caracteriza, a sua evolução ao longo dos tempos e da sua utilização no mundo, recorrendo-se à bibliografia existente. Reconhecendo-se as capacidades destes simuladores efetuou-se um estudo das necessidades de utilização destes simuladores no ensino da Escola Naval. Finalmente, tomando em conta as necessidades encontradas e, reconhecendo a aplicabilidade e vantagens inerentes aos simuladores desenvolveu-se uma proposta de integração dos simuladores no ensino da Escola Naval.

Madrider Mitteilungen, Vol. 60 (2019), This paper presents the results of the archaeological excavations carried out at Travessa das Dores, Lisbon, before the construction of a new building at the location. The excavations were limited to the area affected by the new building. A significant number of pits was dug during the Final Neolithic into a Cretaceous marly limestone platform. Soon after, an important defensive ditched enclosure was installed in the same location. This is the first ditched enclosure excavated in Lisbon and north of the Tagus River. The artefact assemblages recovered from these two construction phases indicate a domestic occupation, with especially abundant fragments with indented edges indicating a single cultural phase, the Final Neolithic. During the Chalcolithic period, the site housed other, less important domestic settlements; several hearths were identified among the ditch fill, associated with Early and Full/Final Chalcolithic ceramics. Based on the results presented in this paper, the Travessa das Dores settlement may be considered the most important prehistoric site identified and excavated in the city of Lisbon.

The open-area archaeological excavations at the 18th century Ludovice Palace, in the Bairro Alto quarter (Lisbon, Portugal) revealed four phases of human occupation. The oldest phase belongs to the Early Neolithic and comprise several dwelling features and one burial, alongside numerous pottery and lithic objects. Field-based geoarchaeological observations suggests that these remains are spread over na occupation surface which, once abandoned, seems to have underwent puddling, slaking and pedogenesis. A thick deposit covered these layers with abundant reworked prehistoric objects. These data significantly increase the contextual knowledge regarding previous findings of the Neolithic settlement of Bairro Alto both culturally and chronologically and widens the debate on the neolithization process of the portuguese Estremadura. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

Publica-se os resultados das escavações arqueológicas realizadas na Travessa das Dores (área urbana de Lisboa) previamente à construção de um novo edifício no local, tendo-se limitado a área das mesmas àquela que seria afectada pela obra. Foram identificadas numerosas fossas escavadas numa plataforma constituída por margas cretácicas delimitadas por um fosso de assinaláveis dimensões cuja construção se sucedeu à abertura das fossas, já que secciona algumas delas, do que resulta o único recinto de fossos até agora estudado a norte do Tejo. A tipologia dos artefactos correspondentes às duas fases de construção assim definidas indicam uma única ocupação de natureza doméstica, caracterizada pela presença abundante de vasos de bordo denteado, característicos do Neolítico Final da Estremadura. No decurso do Calcolítico o local continuou ocupado, embora de forma menos importante, evidenciando-se diversas estruturas de combustão identificadas no fundo do fosso, associadas a espólios cerâmicos tipologicamente atribuíveis ao Calcolítico Inicial e ao Calcolítico Pleno/Final. Tendo presente os resultados obtidos das escavações realizadas, o povoado de fossos da Travessa das Dores pode ser considerado o mais importante sítio pré-histórico até ao presente identificado e escavado na cidade de Lisboa. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

The excavations carried out in Alto do Cidreira, Cascais, in 2007 led to the identification of a domestic unit implanted at the top of a south‑facing slope, constituted by a fireplace protected from the NW winds by a possible windbreak. These two structures were located in the open air, certainly in the vicinity of a hut that was not identified during the excavation. The almost exclusive occurrence of incised beaker ceramics and from where the fine productions associated to maritime vases are completely absent has parallels in other domestic sites spread across the fertile region located along the north bank of the Tagus mouth and corresponds to the less differentiated segment of the population, whose elites, associated with fine productions, would occupy the fortified villages of the region, such as that of Leceia. This is the first evidence of a beaker workshop specialized in the preparation of artefacts identified in Portuguese territory, as indicated by the hundreds of chipping flakes from flint cores, an abundant raw material obtained in the Cretaceous formations of the surrounding region, often exhibiting heat treatment. This feature explains the existence of the identified combustion structure. To reinforce this conclusion, two sketches of artefacts were collected, which are added to the few flint instruments identified whose remarkable diversity is explained by the fact that they correspond to the set used by the specialized community that during a short period of time frequented this place. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

Resumo Esclerite Posterior (EP) é uma inflamação do segmento escleral posterior, de etiologia inflamatória ou infecciosa, pouco diagnosticada, com evolução rápida, progressiva e irreversível com severo comprometimento visual, principalmente se o diagnóstico e o tratamento da (EP) não forem realizados a tempo hábil. A dor ocular, dor à movimentação ocular, cefaléia e embaçamento visual são os principais sinais e sintomas. Pode ser de causa Idiopática ou associada a doença sistêmica em até 45% dos caso. A Artrite Reumatoide é descrita como a associação mais comum. Causas infecciosas podem estar presente tais como: Herpes Simples, Herpes Zoster Oftálmico, Sífilis e Tuberculose. A bilateralidade pode ocorrer em até 35% dos casos sendo mais prevalente em mulheres a partir da quinta década de vida. Abstract Posterior Scleritis (PS) is an inflammation of the posterior scleral segment, of low inflammatory or infectious etiology, with a rapid, progressive and irreversible evolution with severe visual impairment, especially if the diagnosis and treatment of (PS) are not performed in time skillful. Ocular pain, eye movement pain, headache and visual haze are the main signs and symptoms. It can be of idiopathic cause or associated with systemic disease in up to 45% of the cases. Rheumatoid arthritis is described as the most common association. Infectious causes may be present such as: Simple Herpes, Ophthalmic Herpes Zoster, Syphilis and Tuberculosis. Bilaterality can occur in up to 35% of cases being more prevalent in women from the fifth decade of life.

Objective: To describe the outcomes in terms of near visual acuity and quality of life in 10 patients submitted to Scharioth Macular Lens implantation. A invulgar «interpunctio» sugeriu aos investigadores que a letra Y isolada poderá estar por Hy (com a habitual aférese do H), o que denunciaria um antropónimo grego, cuja identificação oferece dúvidas.
