Currently, forest enterprises are characterized by depletion of forest resources and their significant remoteness. To solve a whole range of tasks related to forest management, monitoring of the environmental situation, control of the forest fire situation, remote sensing systems of the Earth have been developed and, to date, are successfully used. At the moment, such systems are located in almost every region, allowing dispatch centers to quickly perform their work. On the basis of the centers there are several operators who transmit information to the forestry and monitor a lot of video surveillance cameras in real time. Cameras help to detect fires and various smoke points much faster and more efficiently than satellite photography. However, the existing methods for detecting fires in forests have long been outdated and require the introduction of modern auxiliary engineering software solutions in this process. Research and development of systems that allow tracking fires that may be located far from human habitats, and their implementation in the work of forest protection enterprises is a top priority in the Ministries of Forestry.

The improvement of the traditional training system is currently relevant due to the complexity of technology and production processes, especially logging. Improving the effectiveness of training is possible due to the widespread use of digitalization of training. The purpose of the work is to determine the directions of application of new digital technologies to improve the effectiveness of training in the field of labor protection at logging enterprises. The use of electronic courses and multimedia technologies along with traditional training makes the learning process more informative, the use of electronic simulators and simulators allows you to work out practical working skills. The most modern teaching methods include the use of augmented and virtual reality technologies, artificial intelligence, which can significantly increase interest in learning and its effectiveness.

The article is aimed at creating a correct worldview about labor protection among engineering and technical workers of the agro-industrial complex engaged in the repair and maintenance of energy facilities. In our case, modern tractors and combines act as energy means. The main method is the analysis and conditions of operations for the repair and maintenance of tractors and combines, on the basis of which there is a need to properly organize the supervision of labor safety. As a result, the directions of work of the occupational safety specialist and the organization of his activities for the supervision of occupational safety have been developed and formulated, and the duties of engineering and technical workers in relation to this direction are also given. This article will be useful for masters and postgraduates studying the organization of maintenance and repair of tractors and combines, as well as engineering and technical workers of agro-industrial enterprises.

Currently, there are a large number of tillage disc working tools. The article provides a detailed analysis of their designs. The main disadvantage of all structures is slippage during its interaction with the soil, which greatly reduces the quality of tillage. To eliminate this drawback, a new design of a soil-cultivating disc-pin working body was developed. The purpose of this study was to study the kinematics of a soil-cultivating disc-pin working body to ensure uniform operation without slipping. The rotation of the disk is ensured by a pin drum. During the forward movement of the trolley, the pins enter the soil, engage with it and turn the pin drum until, due to this rotation, they come out of the soil. A mathematical model of the movement of the ends of the pins in the plane of motion and taking into account the angle of attack has been compiled. Based on kinematics studies, the main parameters of the disc-pin working body are substantiated, the performance of which has been confirmed experimentally.

The study is aimed at solving the important environmental problem of reducing harmful exhaust gas emissions from diesel engines with pre-heaters when operating at subzero ambient temperatures. The issue of cleaning the exhaust gases of the pre-heater in the catalytic converter during the heating of the catalytic units during the pre-start preparation period of the 8Ch12/12 diesel engine is considered. It was found that an increase in the specific heat flow and volumetric thermal gas pressure on the porous SHS catalytic material leads to an improvement in catalytic properties in exhaust gas purification processes. An increase in heat flow from 1589 to 3807 mJ/(m3×h) led to a decrease in the estimated values of harmful emissions: nitrogen oxides – by 1.6 times; carbon monoxide – 1.9 times; hydrocarbons – 1.23 times; solid particles - 2.1 times. It was revealed that when the exhaust gas temperature changed from 650 to 810 K, the efficiency of cleaning from solid particles increased from 50 to 75%, from nitrogen oxides - from 20 to 83%, and carbon monoxide - from 53 to 75%. An increase in the quality of hydrocarbon purification is noted up to 790 K; the quality of purification changes from 32 to 47%.
