AbstractInspired by the numerous applications of non-Newtonian nanomaterials in science and industries, the two-dimensional convective hydromagnetic movement in a micropolar nanofluid within an expanding permeable surface with the existence of binary chemical reaction and convective boundary constraints is examined in this study. Thermal radiation, energy generation, and activation energy interactions are employed to handle the nanofluid flow. The underlying equations are transformed via the similarity transitions into an array of non-linear ODE. The BVP4C MATLAB package is applied to solve the system of equations numerically. The necessary outcomes of the micropolar fluid velocity, micro-rotation, temperature, concentration, friction factor, mass transfer, and heat transfer rates are shown graphically and thoroughly analyzed quantitatively. The micropolar nanofluid’s mobility is reduced by the heating and solutal Grashof numbers. It is noted that the magnetic coefficient decreases velocity, it has the opposite impact on the degree of temperature. The plotted outcomes also show that the temperature increases as the increase in stimulation radiation variable. Meanwhile, the thermal field exhibits strengthen as the intensity of Biot number and Eckert number responses enhances. Composites of Al-Si-Mg (A356) alloy with silicon carbide particles were synthesized in-house and foamed by melt processing using titanium hydride as foaming agent. The effects of the SiCP size and content, and foaming temperature on the stability and quality of the foam were explored. It was observed that the foam stability depended on the foaming temperature alone but not on the particle size or volume percent within the studied ranges. Specifically, foam stability was poor at 670°C. Among the stable foams obtained at 640°C, cell soundness (absence of/low defects, and collapse) was seen to vary depending on the particle size and content; For example, for finer size, lower particle contents were sufficient to obtain sound cell structure. Reduction of fossil fuel reserves, environmental deterioration, global warming, and rigorous emission norms have necessitated the need for alternate fuel such as biodiesels. Diesel engines produce a higher vibration which leads to a reduced engine life span. In the present study, the vibration of a compression ignition engine has been measured for both diesel and Neem methyl ester. The experiments were carried out at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% load when the engine runs at a constant speed of 1500 rpm and with a compression ratio of 16. Triaxial accelerometer is used for measuring engine vibration along vertical, lateral, and longitudinal directions. Data acquisition and analysis are obtained by NI LabVIEW. It has been observed that an engine running with NME produces lower combustion induced vibration acceleration compared to diesel fuel. It is also noticed that higher peak amplitudes are observed at the frequency of 25 Hz for both diesel and NME, within the range of 0-100 Hz and along three directions. Within the range of 100-3000 Hz, the highest peak amplitudes are observed for engine running with diesel compared to neem methyl ester. At a 100% load, the change in vibration amplitude is 64.94 %, 86.41%, and 17% along vertical, lateral, and longitudinal directions when fuel is changed from NME to diesel. Combustion characteristics such as maximum cylinder pressure, heat release rate, and rate of pressure rise are also measured for both diesel and NME in order to find the relationship between combustion and vibration. At full load conditions, the maximum combustion pressure and maximum rate of pressure rise are increased by 2.1% and 8.33% with pure diesel compared to neem methyl ester. The experimental work suggests that neem methyl ester can be directly used in diesel engines in view of a lesser engine vibration and higher engine life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper discusses the parameters of a steam generator for a power plant can be deduced on the basis of the mathematical Analysis. According to this analysis, the flow parameters emerge in time such that it provides progressively greater access to its currents. The circulation of water is driven by buoyancy in downcomer and many parallel smaller riser tubes. The total flow volume is fixed. Two flow models are analysed i.e. single phase flow in the downcomer and riser, and liquid-vapor mixture flow in the riser tubes. Parameters that result from mathematical analysis are Circulation Ratio, Tube diameters, Number of riser tubes, Water circulation rate, Rate of steam generation, and how the flow parameters change when the operating Pressure, Temperature and the size of the flow system change.
