Volunteers are often relied upon by nonprofit organizations to interact with possible donors and clients; however, volunteers' motivation and training are usually nonexistent. A volunteer, who poorly represents an organization, can be detrimental to an organization?s branding, and the selection, training, and motivation of a volunteer should be considered just as if the volunteer were an employee.
