The virus that sparked a localised shockwave in China is today dispensing a substantial worldwide shock. The Coronavirus outbreak has irreparably harmed the economy, disrupted numerous systems and left it clinging to life. The current study has made a preliminary effort to unveil the challenges that pandemic has posed for city of weavers (Panipat) textile business owners in terms of their businesses and in turn whether the varied business-related roadblocks that entrepreneurs are currently managing have led them to experience stress or not. The data was gathered from 150 textile business owners in Panipat. Exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis both robust statistical tools have been deployed for analysis. It was unearthed that impression on firm's liquidity position and employment accompanied with influence on prospective marketing strategies were the prominent cause of business-related problems for entrepreneurs that also led to stress among textile entrepreneurs with significant t -values 16.30 and 11.65, respectively. Meanwhile, the major chunk of them was discovered to be digitally capable, accepting digital knowledge rapidly and seizing possibilities by producing N95 masks and personal protective equipment (PPE). The stock market has now become a vital and inseparable part of the economy. It is a touchstone that helps in gauging the nation's economic health. As macro variables play a significant role, this study contemplates their impact on stock market prices of both BSE 100 and Nifty 50. The research relies solely on secondary information. Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression were applied to evaluate the data for the period 2011 to 2020. The study considers GDP as the dominant independent variable of both BSE 100 and Nifty 50 with R2 values of 85.1% and 83.6%, respectively. However, the GDP is an important factor for both the dependent variables; nevertheless, its influence on BSE 100 has been more than Nifty 50, and the combined impact of both independent variables exposed more influence on NSE (R2 = 96.5%) than BSE 100. Background: Despite advances in endoscopic drainage procedures, percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) remains an essential interventional radiology (IR) procedure. Several factors may adversely affect the success of PTBD. We report the experience of our IR unit with PTBD in patients considered at higher risk for adverse events. Material: Consecutive PTBDs performed between November 2017 and April 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. The patients at increased risk for adverse events from PTBD, defined by one or more of the following factors: non-dilated system, moderate amount of perihepatic fluid, coagulopathy, altered sensorium, and PTBD performed at bedside, were identified. Technical success, complications, and outcome at 3 months were recorded. Results: During the study period, PTBDs were performed in 90 patients. PTBDs in 57 (63.3%) patients (mean age 47.6 years, 35 females) were identified as predisposing to higher risk for adverse events. Left and right PTBD were performed in 37 (64.9%) and 15 (26.3%) patients, respectively. Bilateral PTBDs were performed in three (5.2%) patients. In two (3.5%) cases, biliary access was obtained via percutaneous cholecystostomy. Overall technical success of 91.2% (n = 52) was achieved. Carcinoma gallbladder was the most common underlying cause. Non-dilated ductal system was the most common condition deemed to predispose to higher risk for adverse events (n = 32, 56.1%), followed by perihepatic fluid (n = 9, 15.8%), and deranged coagulation parameters (n = 9, 15.8%). PTBD was performed at bedside in intensive care unit in 5 (8.8%) patients. Two (3.5%) patients had altered sensorium. Major complications in the form of biliary peritonitis were observed in three (5.2%) patients. No procedure-related mortality was observed. Conclusion: PTBD can be effectively and safely performed even in situations deemed to predispose patients to increased risk for adverse events.
