Abstract

Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) is a powerful IoT application which remodels the growth of industries by ensuring transparent communication among various entities such as hubs, manufacturing places and packaging units. Introducing data science techniques within the IIoT improves the ability to analyze the collected data in a more efficient manner, which current IIoT architectures lack due to their distributed nature. From a security perspective, network anomalies/attackers pose high security risk in IIoT. In this paper, we have addressed this problem, where a coordinator IoT device is elected to compute the trust of IoT devices to prevent the malicious devices to be part of network. Further, the transparency of the data is ensured by integrating a blockchain-based data model. The performance of the proposed framework is validated extensively and rigorously via MATLAB against various security metrics such as attack strength, message alteration, and probability of false authentication. The simulation results suggest that the proposed solution increases IIoT network security by efficiently detecting malicious attacks in the network.

Abstract

Model deployment in machine learning has emerged as an intriguing field of research in recent years. It is comparable to the procedure defined for conventional software development. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) have been shown to smooth down software advancement and speed up businesses when used in conjunction with development and operations (DevOps). Using CI/CD pipelines in an application that includes Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) components, on the other hand, has difficult difficulties, and pioneers in the area solve them by using unique tools, which is typically provided by cloud providers. This research provides a more in-depth look at the machine learning lifecycle and the key distinctions between DevOps and MLOps. In the MLOps approach, we discuss tools and approaches for executing the CI/CD pipeline of machine learning frameworks. Following that, we take a deep look into push and pull-based deployments in Github Operations (GitOps). Abstract

Nowadays, smart cities are becoming an emerging area of research for upgrading and modifying our existing society by adopting the latest and the most trending technologies in the market. Though the number of IoT based applications is constantly increasing, with new products being launched every 6 months, many organizations are afraid of an early adoption of such products because of their security issues. In particular, the transmission and storage of online information causes a lot of cybersecurity issues while ensuring a secure communication mechanism. The aim of this paper is thus to present an efficient and effective communicating mechanism for smart cities using two decision-making models based on the SMART and Subjective approaches. The SMART approach is used to make an intelligent and ideal decision when communicating in the network. In addition, the continuous surveillance of the communicating entities can be done by computing their trust values through a subjective mechanism. The devices having a higher trust value are thus considered as more trustworthy devices. The proposed mechanism is simulated and verified for various security metrics, being compared to the state-of-art approaches. In addition, the proposed mechanism is simulated and out-performed against existing approaches by showing a 97% improvement in terms of accuracy, utility value, delay and threat metrics.

Abstract

Recently, Metaverse is gaining prominence within the field of radiology due to its potential to revolutionize image visualization. Radiologists can harness its capabilities to access dynamic, highly detailed results, thereby enhancing diagnostic precision. Digital twins, at the core of the Metaverse, are digital replicas of real-world objects and entities. They serve as the foundational building blocks, enabling the creation of virtual counterparts for everything within the Metaverse. To ensure the reliability of these digital twins, blockchain technology offers a multi-dimensional data storage solution, reinforcing data integrity and trustworthiness. It is used to ensure a transparent and 3D visualization of each communication and interaction for further looking up any criticality if present in the network. With the rapid increase in value and volume of data, the evolution of the metaverse faces a number of privacy and security concerns. Furthermore, the metaverse in Industry 4.0 is a trending topic that further needs to focus on its security challenges at its initial stage. Fortunately, blockchain is considered as one of the significant solutions. The aim of this paper is to propose a secure and efficient fuzzy evaluation matrix by computing the trust values along with integrating with blockchain mechanism in industry 4.0 enabling metaverse environment. The proposed mechanism is validated against various security concerns such as broken authentication, eavesdropping, personal information leakage, data injection, and unauthorized access. Abstract

To incorporate the computation and communication with the physical world, next generation architecture i.e. CPS is viewed as a new technology. To improve the better interaction with the physical world or to perk up the electricity delivery usage, various CPS based approaches have been introduced. Recently several GPS equipped smart phones and sensor based frameworks have been proposed which provide various services i.e. environment estimation, road safety improvement but encounter certain limitations like elevated energy consumption and high computation cost. To meet the high reliability and safety requirements, this paper introduces a novel approach based on QCPS model which provides several users services (discussed in this paper). Further, this paper proposed a Transport Information System (TIS), which provide the communication with lower cost overhead by arranging the similar sensors in the form of grids. Each grid has a coordinator which interacts with cloud to process the user query. In order to evaluate the performance of proposed approach we have implemented a test bed of 16 wireless sensor nodes and have shown the performance in terms of computation and communication cost., Comment: 5 pages, 4 Figures
