The study deals with the Scientometric study on the publication of "Geochemistry". The records are collected from Web of Science Databases for the period of 1989-2020. A total of 2603 papers were identified in Web of Science database. The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journal and more numbers of articles were published in the year 2019. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 2603 literature published, 92.5% of the publication published under the joint author. Four thousand three hundred and eighty nine authors have contributed the total of 2603 articles. The Study examines the Biodiversity in India as revealed in the database of web of science in the year of 1991-2017. This study analyses the Indian Scientists contributions of research papers related to the topic in Data Mining was undertaken from Web of Science Databases has been used to retrieve the data for 22 years (1999-2020) by the searching the keyword "Data Mining". The study reveals that, most of the researchers preferred to publish their research results in journals; as such 88.59% of articles were published in journals. More numbers of articles were published in the year 2019. The authorship trend shows that, out of total 1096 literature published, 95.53 % of the publication published under the joint author. It is observed that author productivity is not in agreement with Lotka's law, but productivity distribution data partially fits the law when the value of Chi-square to 25212.62. Background: Despite demonstrated benefits and improved demand for telemedicine, adoption rates by U.S. ambulatory clinics remain low. There is a critical need to identify why telemedicine adoption rates remain low among ambulatory providers. Introduction: The aim of this study is to evaluate key predictors of telemedicine adoption by ambulatory clinics and assess salient differences between adopters and nonadopters. Three categories of predictors namely clinic characteristics, health information technology (HIT)-related factor, and organizational variables were examined. Materials and Methods: The study used data from a survey of 1,285 clinics in Minnesota (MN) that was collected by Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) in 2016. Exploratory statistical analyses as well as binary logistic regression analyses were carried out using SPSS software. Results: Fifty-five percent of ambulatory clinics in Minnesota had adopted telemedicine. Real-time consultations were adopted in over 26% clinics, remote patient monitoring in 15% clinics, and store-and-forward consultations in about 7% clinics. Originating site teleconsulting was prevalent in 27% clinics, whereas primary care and specialist services through teleconsulting were adopted by 23% clinics. Logistic regression revealed health system-owned clinics, rural clinics, and primary care ones to exhibit higher levels of telemedicine adoption. Clinics with paperless electronic health record (EHR) systems, health information exchange (HIE)-enablement, and better technological infrastructure had higher odds of telemedicine adoption. Furthermore, clinics that had redesigned their workflows also exhibited higher odds of telemedicine adoption. Clinics that faced high costs of telemedicine equipment, lack of demand had lower adoption levels. Clinics that faced high costs for hosting and staffing were more likely to adopt store-and-forward telemedicine and real-time patient monitoring rather than other high-end telemedicine services. Clinics that reported inadequate coverage or reimbursement were more likely to adopt a restrictive set of telemedicine services. Discussion: Telemedicine is not yet very prevalent among Minnesota ambulatory clinics. Over 45% of the clinics do not offer any telemedicine services. The barriers to adoption vary widely and pertain to HIT as well as organizational factors. Conclusion: With increased demand for telemedicine services, policy changes aimed at improving the reimbursement models, digital infrastructure for telemedicine, HIE capabilities, organizational efforts to move toward paperless EHR systems, and redesigning workflows can facilitate in accelerating telemedicine adoption. India is a computer-literate and Internet-savvy country. In general, the academic community in the country has pioneered the establishment and use of the Internet. Additionally, Tamil Nadu universities have been the leading institutions in the country in creating Web sites. As a result of these developments, academic institutions have been in a more privileged position to set up Web sites than other types of institutions. Their presence on the Web implies the desire of academic institutions in Tamil Nadu to provide better and more services to their students, faculty and Public. Although much of the resources have been committed to create and maintain academic institutions Web sites, there has been so little effort in evaluating the sites. The present evaluation paradigm is developed and designed against the background of general evaluation criteria of Web sites. These criteria are accuracy, authority, currency, relevancy, and stability of information. Since there is a lack of effort to examine the quality of information, a number of general criteria such as author's qualifications, objectivity, and coverage should be further used in evaluating information content provided by academic institution Web sites. This study identified that the user studies help build need-based and balanced collections in University Environment. A questionnaire was used to collect data about use of information sources by research scholars and faculty members of biological Science in Bharathidasan University in Tiruchirappalli. This study identified relative importance of information sources among the research scholars and faculty members of biological Science in a University environment is emphasized. The study reveals that Reprints/Prints, Abstracting and Indexing Journal, primary periodicals, Newspaper, Dictionaries, Subject Bibliographies and Monographs / Text books were the sources of information which were most frequently used. Total Factor Productivity (TFP) measures the growth in output which is not accounted for by inputs. Data Envelopment Analysis which forms the basis for the computation of Malmquist TFP index is used in this paper to study the performance of different river basins in Andhra Pradesh state, India. The results indicated that average technical efficiency of all the basins is only 66%. In all the basins there was a decline in growth of agricultural output during the first two decades, viz., 1979-1980 to 1988-1989 and it had picked in the last decade (1999-2000). All the river basins have TFP change greater than 1 indicating progress in agricultural productivity. Out of the 40 river basins, 14 river basins have technical efficiency change less than 1 indicating decline in TFP growth whereas all the basins have technical changes greater than 1 implying that there is shift in production frontier over years. In general, within the TFP, technical change contributed more than technical efficiency change. Looking at the future options for increasing the agricultural output in the river basins, it is important to focus on improving the TFP growth compared to increasing the quantities of physical inputs. This article to explain the growth of e-journals in Library and Information Science along with the methodology employed in the study analyzed and interprets data, pertaining to a total sample of 136 e-journals available in three websites using only three popular search engines (Google, Altavista, Yahoo) in regard to their subject coverage, country of publication, year of publication, frequency and cost during the period 1995 to 2010. It reveals that 38.97% of the total e-journals in Library and Information Science cover IT (Information Technology) as their thrust area; 56.15% of them are published from USA; 96.18% of e-journals are published in English; 41.22% are published quarterly; and 61.02% of them are fee based journals. Abstract: The unprecedented growth of competition in the wireless telecommunications market has raised the importance of retaining current customers. Retaining existing customers is much less expensive and difficult than recruiting new customers in a mature market such as the US wireless communications industry. In addition to the reduced cost, there is the potential and opportunity value of customers gained over a long period of time. Because wireless service is not a one-time sale like commodity products but rather, a continuous service, service providers can offer additional services over the length of a customer''s tenure to generate more revenue. This study focuses on understanding the factors related to customer retention behavior, both behavioral factors such as switching costs and customer satisfaction and demographic factors. Its two goals are to understand (1) how factors that affect switching costs and customer satisfaction, such as length of association, service plan complexity, handset sophistication and the quality of connectivity, drive customer retention behavior, and (2) how customer demographics such as age and gender affect their choice of service plan complexity and handset sophistication, leading to differences in customer retention behavior. There has been a rapid increase in the number of firms undertaking business-to-business (B2B) electronic commerce (e-commerce) initiatives. Although there are various benefits to B2B e-commerce, there are also inhibitors to its deployment. This study empirically investigates the inhibitors for deploying Web-based B2B e-commerce applications in organizations. A field survey of senior IT executives was conducted to examine the key problems that inhibit the deployment of Web-based B2B e-commerce. A comprehensive list of inhibitors was derived from an extensive review of the literature and pretested with senior IT executives. Data from 249 firms were factor analyzed to yield the underlying structural dimensions of inhibitors impacting the deployment of Web-based B2B e-commerce. Univariate t-test and multivariate discriminant analysis were carried out on the resulting ten dimensions to compare B2B (i.e., firms who have deployed B2B) and non-B2B firms (i.e., firms who have not deployed B2B). The results suggest that key inhibitors in B2B deployment are the lack of top management support, unresolved technical issues, the lack of e-commerce strategy, and the difficulties in cost-benefit assessment of e-commerce investments. Purpose — The purpose of this paper is to provide a conceptual overview of the process of unsolicited commercial e-mail (UCE), propose a typology of UCE, and delineate key stakeholders of UCE, their roles and potential responses through a stakeholder analysis. Design/methodology/approach — Based on the extant literature, this paper provides a conceptualization of the UCE process, delineating specific types of UCE. It uses stakeholder analysis to identify key members in the UCE process and the potential roles to be played by them in combating UCE. Findings — This paper proposes a four-way typology of the UCE process, identifies key stakeholders, and also mechanisms for tackling UCE. Research limitations/applications — Given the limited empirical research on this topic, this paper is exploratory in nature, integrating concepts from marketing and e-commerce research streams. It will provide a solid conceptual foundation for future empirical research on UCE. Practical implications — This paper will be a useful resource for customers, Internet merchants, policy makers, direct marketing associations, agencies and consumer awareness groups that are working on Internet security, privacy and anti-spam issues. Originality/value — This paper addresses an important and timely issue, filling an important gap in current research on e-mail marketing. Statistical uniformity of discharge variation is an important parameter in designing drip irrigation laterals. A simple analytical equation is derived to determine the coefficient of variation of discharge. This equation is used to determine the coefficient of variation of discharge for a numerical problem. The result is compared with the energy gradient line approach. Both the methods give the same result. For any required coefficient of variation of discharge, the diameter of a lateral can be designed directly for a known lateral length, slope, emitter discharge exponent, pressure head at the start of the lateral, and discharge rate through the lateral, by writing the analytical equation in quadratic form. The idea behind the aggregation of multiple intrusion detections (IDS) is due to the inability of stand-alone IDS to meet the demand of today's network traffic with high complexity of intrusions. Multiple IDS can be aggregated in order to meet the requirement for low false alarms and the demand for high detection rate. This paper shows that by appropriate adjustment in the threshold results in better performance during the aggregation process of the multiple IDS. Complementary IDS are used to increase the detection rate rather than the individual IDS. A number of evaluation metrics is used to show that there is a significant enhancement in the performance of the IDS system. Groundwater is now a major source of agricultural water supply in many parts of the world. The value of groundwater as a new source of supply is well known. However, its additional buffering or stabilization value is less appreciated and even less analysed. Knowledge on groundwater's stabilization value is advanced by developing and estimating an empirical model using the case of tank irrigation systems in Tamil Nadu, India. Unlike previous work, the model uses cross-sectional rather than time-series data. The results show that for the case-study region, the stabilization function added approximately 15% to supply value. Scenarios with surface water and electricity price were incorporated in the model. Increased surface-water supply and electricity price caused reduction in groundwater use but the percent of stabilization value of groundwater increased. The findings are used both to suggest improvements in tank irrigation systems and to further contextualize knowledge of groundwater's stabilization value. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Irrigation tanks in India are common property resources. Tanks provide not only for irrigation, but also forestry, fishing, domestic water supply, livestock, and other uses. Using empirical results from a study of tank performance from 80 tanks in Tamil Nadu, South India in two time period: 1996-97 and 2009-10, this paper evaluates tank irrigation system performance in terms of economic output and revenue generation forirrigation and other uses. The results indicate that irrigation and other productive uses put together raised the total value of output at tank level by 12 % in 1996-97 and just 6 % in 2009-10. This may suggest that tank multiple use values are small and getting smaller, and therefore not worth consideration. However, it was also found that, while declining in absolute terms, non-irrigation uses provided the majority of tax revenues and still more than cover government's operation and maintenance expenditure (O&M) budget.
