This paper investigates the performance of solar PV system by implementing MPPT algorithm. The IV and PV characteristics of solar photovoltaic system have been analyzed for various parameters of temperature and irradiation. From the characteristics, the peak power variations with respect to physical parameters have been identified using algorithmic approach. To validate the MPPT operation, the P&O algorithm has been implemented and verified the operation under varying environmental conditions. And also, the same has been compared with theoretical approach in this paper.

Achieving higher voltage at load side is essential in many applications, especially in small-scale solar PV systems. Traditional boost converter fails to lift the voltage level beyond five times due to saturation in the passive elements. In order to attain high voltage gain ratio, a novel switched-inductor and switched-capacitor networks-based high-gain step-up converter is proposed in this paper. It can attain higher voltage gain at lower duty ratios, thereby reducing the losses associated with the converter and enhancing the efficiency. The detailed analysis of the proposed converter has been made under the CCM and DCM conditions. Moreover, investigation on device stresses is carried out and the results are compared with recently derived converters. Also, the performance comparison of the proposed converter with other published topologies is presented in this paper. In order to validate the operation details, the measured results are presented and the same have been confirmed with the theoretical approach. Furthermore, experimental works have been carried out and the results are presented to confirm the feasibility of the operation.

The prescribed algorithm for removing impulse noise effectively even under high noise densities without causing any loss of image details. Hence a cascaded section of median filters that, involves an Decision-based Median Filter followed by a Recursive Weighted Median (RWM) Filter employing exponential weights are used. The median controlled algorithm is employed to calculate the exponential weights. In the algorithms that where proposed in earlier which involves a cascaded section of the median with the RWM filters provided lesser Peak Signal/Noise Ratio (PSNR) and greater Mean Square Error(MSE) values. Hence the output appeared to be distorted for higher noise levels. These drawbacks have been eliminated in this proposed algorithm.

The objective of this paper is to design an II phase algorithm employing median filters for enlightening the performance in removing impulse noise during the processing of the image. The cascaded filter section employs an Adaptive median filter in the first phase followed by a Recursive weighted median filter (RWM) in the second phase. The RWM filter weight is selected with the Median Controlled Algorithm. As a design parameter, the exponential weights of RWM filters are used in the feedback path. The projected algorithm can achieve suggestively improved quality of image when compared to fixed weight or the Center Weighted Median filters.

A battery is a Pack of cells organized in an arrangement/equal association so the voltage can be raised to the craving levels. Lithium-ion batteries, which are completely utilised in portable gadgets & electric vehicles, are the driving force behind the digital technological revolution in today’s mobile societies. In order to protect and maintain voltage and current of the battery with in safe limit Battery Management System (BMS) should be used. BMS provides thermal management to the battery, safeguarding it against over and under temperature and also during short circuit conditions. The battery pack is designed with series and parallel connected cells of 3.7v to produce 12v. The charging and releasing levels of the battery pack is indicated by interfacing the Arduino microcontroller. The entire equipment is placed in a fiber glass case (looks like aquarium) in order to protect the battery from external hazards to design an efficient Lithium-ion battery by using Battery Management System (BMS). We give the supply to the battery from solar panel and in the absence of this, from a regular AC supply.

Now-a-days Usage of Multilevel Inverters application is very wide in the industrial applications. Keeping in view of industrial applications, a multi-level inverter with a solar PV array is designed in this paper to deliver power to the Alternating Current based load. A step-up converter is used at the input side of the three-phase multilevel inverter, which delivers the energy for the three-phase load, to regulate the output voltage of the solar Photovoltaic panel. The multilevel inverter utilizes 9 switching devices with five level sources in accordance to the usage of the level of sources in recent topologies. However, the advantage of this topology is that it uses fewer semiconductor switches than current topologies. Eventually, the paper includes the results of the modelling in the MATLAB and the experimental implementation of the proposed topology.

A Switched-Capacitor Interleaved Bidirectional DC-DC Converter is used to increase the voltage gain and to decrease the voltage gain to a renewable energy storage system is illustrated with an experimental setup using FGPA controller. This interleaved construction is accepted on this converter of the less-voltage side to decrease the content of the ripple which flows through the side which is low-voltage of this converter. This type of series-connection structure is accepted to achieve the more voltage gain on the higher voltage side/less voltage gain on the high-voltage side of this converter structure. Also, this type of structure is need in a bidirectional synchronic rectification performance are carried out without requiring any additional experimental setup for the same operation, and with this type of converter’s structure its performance is improved. Besides, with this structure, here we can analyze the converter’s current ripple characteristics and also, the operating principles of voltage, and current stresses. Finally; a power rating of kW experimental setup was constructed to analyze this converter’s performance for different ranges under various voltage gain ranges in between the voltage ranges of 50V to 120V on the low-voltage side of this converter while other voltage 400V is kept constant. Under this condition, this converters’ efficiency obtained maximum value is 95.21% in the increase mode whereas when the converter is operating in the decrease mode of operation, the efficiency obtained value is 95.30%. The investigational validation values are verified for boost increase mode and decrease mode of operation with the experimental setup. The same circuit is also performed with the Simulink and got verified for increase and decrease modes of performance.

In this paper, a seven-level cascaded H-Bridge dynamic voltage restorer (CHDVR) is proposed to mitigate power quality issues in the power system that are causing severe problems both in industrial and commercial sectors which may sometimes lead to interruption of power. To improve the voltage quality, many series compensators are been using in which DVR is one best solution wherein in many cases phase angle jump is not considered during the initial stage of compensation which influences the power quality. In this paper voltage Phase Angle Jump (PAJ) is taken into consideration to improve voltage quality using DVR. Moreover, Fault riding capability (FRC) is also considered along with phase jump to progress overall execution of the power system. The control strategy adopted is worked out for several sag cases and the analysis is validated using results acquired from MATLAB/SIMULINK 2019 platform.

In this paper, the photo volatic (PV) renewable energy is fed to load demand using Modified ZETA converter with ANFIS logic controller. Nowadays, renewables have become a blooming market. These are the main sources of energy that exist in the natural environment. It is a clean alternative to fossil fuels. Therefore the application of power electronics to the wind power generation region has become critical. Converters and inverters are the primary method used to produce such renewable resources, quickly and effectively implemented. The ANFIS controller for the SEPIC converter that interfaced between inverter and source, keeps constant voltage during variable load situation and depicted in a small steady error and a small overflow. The design and analysis of PV based modified ZETA converter is explained and the results are verified using MATLAB/Simulink.

Multilevel inverter plays a crucial role in industrial applications. The performance of cascaded multilevel inverter (CMLI) with reduced switch count is analyzed in this paper. If the switches have been increased the switching loss and THD will increase. The preferred topology is simulated for seven level and fifteen level by considering isolated DC source and PV. The reduced % THD is identified compare to other topologies. Four switches continuously working at fundamental switching frequency is considered as one of the advantage of the topology.

In recent years multilevel inverters have been extensively worn in high voltage and high power applications for their unique performance. Reliability of the power electronic equipment is very essential to make sure that inverter operation should be stable and it is most important to detect and locate the faults as speedily as possible. This paper deals with open switch-fault finding method in a multilevel inverter using wavelet transformation tool. A fault diagnosis procedure is proposed and executed using MATLAB.

In the modern industrial drive system, power electronic converters are employed not only to control the electromechanical energy conversion process, but also facilitate energy efficiency and continued automation. In the drive system, induction motor (IM) is a preferred energy conversion device because of its inherent features. Nowadays, power converters using MLI’s playing vital role in the energy conversion process also multilevel configuration allow raising the power-handling capability of the system. Thus, in this paper fifteen level cascaded MLI fed closed loop V/f controlled IM drive is developed and its performance indicators have been analyzed for multicarrier carrier PWM strategy executed using MATLAB/Simulink.
