The Covid-19 pandemic, which started in Wuhan, China in 2019, become a global health crisis by spreading to many countries in a short time. Considering the effects of the pandemic on international trade, many countries have taken measures of customs transactions, and these measures caused global changes in the supply chain flow in trade. The supply chain disruptions that led by trade-related pandemic measurements has caused to decrease in economic growth, the slowdown in trade, and weakening of financial markets. Turkey was among the countries that took customs measurements. In this study, it is aimed to understand how Turkey's export performance is affected by the trade-related pandemic measures. In this context, it was examined whether Turkey's exports were affected during the strict implementation of pandemic measures at customs. Afterwards, it was evaluated whether a "new normal" has emerged in exports after the pandemic measures taken at customs decreased with the normalization throughout the country.

Çalışmanın amacı, üçüncü parti lojistik (3PL) ve dördüncü parti lojistik (4PL) firmalarının genel kapsamda incelenerek, bu alanda 2001-2018 yıllarında Web of Science veri tabanında yayınlanan 3695 adet çalışmayı bibliyometrik açıdan incelemektir. Veriler Web of Science Core Collection veri tabanında 10 adet konu başlığında gerçekleştirilen tarama ile seçilmiş ve bu verilere sosyal ağ analizi uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı bilimsel verilerin görsel olarak analiz edilmesidir. Analiz sonucuna göre; atıf sayılarında 2008 yılından sonra önemli bir sıçrama yaşanmış olup, 2013 yılından sonra ise atıf sayılarında düşüş olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmalarda en çok atıfta bulunulan dergi International Journal of Production Economics dergisi olup, işletme ekonomisi en çok yayın yapılan bölümdür. Çin en fazla yayın yapılan ve en çok atıf patlaması alan ülkeler arasında yer almaktadır. İşbirliği yapılan kurumlara bakıldığında İlk 5 enstitünün 4’ü Çin, 1’i ABD’da yer almaktadır. Bunun yanında, en çok işbirliği yapılan enstitü Washington Üniversitesi’dir.

Air logistics has a significant place in logistic activities as it enables a rapid, punctual, safe and cost effective flow for goods, information and services. This study aims is to analyze papers on air logistics through bibliometrics and provide information about the literature to researchers. In this scope, studies on air logistics are descriptively analyzed and presented with the bibliometric analysis method. Data used in the study is collected through databases such as Web of Science, Scopus and EBSCO to make sure that the study proceeds. Information gathered through data obtained from studies is important because it shows the shortcomings in air logistics literature for researchers. The relevant literature was assessed and new topics and concepts were interpreted by bibliometrics. Findings indicate that the least studied fields in air logistics are; air logistics clustering, global parking in air logistics, air logistics integration, alternative area selection for air cargo, electronical arrangement on air cargo, and others. The bibliometric analysis will be beneficial for the researchers considering working in this field in terms of guiding their studies., Hava lojistiği malların, bilginin, hizmetin; hızlı, dakik, güvenli ve maliyet etkili akışını sağladığı için lojistik faaliyetler içerisinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu çalışmada, hava lojistiği üzerine yazılan makalelerin bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle tahlil edilmesi ve araştırmacılara bu yazınla ilgili bilgiler sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda hava lojistiği üzerine yapılan çalışmalar betimsel olarak tahlil edilmiş ve bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle sunulmuştur. Çalışmanın ilerlemesi için araştırmada kullanılan veriler, Web of Science (WOS), Scopus ve EBSCO veri tabanlarından toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilerle elde edilen bilgiler hava lojistiği yazınındaki eksikleri araştırmacılara göstermesi açısından önemlidir. Bibliyometrik analiz çalışmasıyla hem literatür ölçülmüş hem de ortaya çıkan yeni konuların, kavramların yorumlanmasına yer verilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgularda hava lojistiği ile ilgili en az çalışma yapılmış alanlar; hava lojistik kümelenmesi, hava lojistiğinde küresel park, hava lojistiği entegrasyonu, hava kargosu için alternatif meydan seçimi, hava kargosu üzerine elektronik düzenlemeler ve diğerleridir. Bu alanda çalışma yapacak araştırmacılara yol göstermesi açısından yapılan bu bibliyometrik analiz faydalı olacaktır.

PurposeThe main objective of this study is to identify reliable and valid performance dimensions for both the identification and quantification of logistics performance that continues its development in the academic literature.Design/methodology/approachQuantitative research approach was used in the scale development process. First, the logistical performance literature was analyzed in detail, and it was evaluated that the logistics performance consists mainly of logistics efficiency, logistics differentiation, logistics agility and logistics effectiveness dimensions. During the scale development process, opinions were obtained from academics, industry managers and pilot applications were carried out. For the implementation of the developed scale, a total of 108 companies engaged in logistics activities in Turkey were identified, and the developed scale was applied to 398 logistics professionals.FindingsA 28-item logistics performance scale has been developed based on the resource-based theory to measure totally five-dimensional performance. First, the three items under the logistics agility dimension were separated from this dimension as a result of the exploratory factor analysis, and it was understood that these items belong to the “logistics flexibility” dimension. The established structure was supported by confirmatory factor analysis. The reliability and validity of the scale are within the range of acceptable values.Research limitations/implicationsThe research data were collected from the Western Mediterranean region. The scale should be tested in different geographies.Originality/valueBy means of establishing a valid and reliable scale for logistics performance and its sub-dimensions, it is evaluated that this study will contribute to future research based on the measurement of logistics performance.

Dünya ticaretinin değişendinamikleri, üretim teknolojilerindeki ve tüketim alışkanlıklarındaki kaydadeğer farklılaşmalar yanında, Sivil Toplum örgütlerinin gittikçe güçlenmesi vehemen her alanda sürdürülebilirlik düşünce ve uygulamalarının yaygınlıkkazanması, ürünlerin geri kazanımı ve çevreye zarar vermeksizin bertarafedilmesi konusunda toplumların bilinçlilik düzeyini artırmıştır. Toplumların, uluslararasıörgütlerin ve STK’ların konuya artan bu ilgi düzeyi, lojistik yönetiminde ürüngeri kazanımı, yeniden üretim ve ürünlerin bertarafı veya tamir için geriçağırma olarak bilinen tersine lojistik görüş ve uygulamalarına da daha fazlaönem atfedilmesine yol açmıştır. Bu çalışmanın odak ilgisi, son on yıldatersine lojistik alanında ortaya konulan bilimsel çıktıların incelenerekaraştırma ve uygulamaların seyrini nitel bir çözümleme ile ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Web of Scienceveritabanında tersine lojistik, yeniden üretim, yeniden kullanım, geri kazanım,geri dönüşüm, yok etme, tersine akış, yenileme gibi konuya ilişkin anahtarkelimeler kullanılarak tarama yapılmış ve toplamda 701 yayına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmayöntemi olarak Bibliyometrik Analiz ve İçerik Analizi yöntemleri birliktekullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları; 2015 yılından itibaren niceliksel biryoğunlaşma olduğunu, araştırma makalesi ve ampirik analiz eksenli yayınlarınağırlık kazandığını ve üniversiteler bazında Tersine Lojistik temalı en fazlayayın yapan üniversitenin ABD’de bulunan Auburn Üniversitesi olduğunu ortayakoymuştur. Ayrıca, özetlerde en fazla değinilen kavramın tedairk zinciriolduğu, en fazla çalışılan konunun kapalı döngü tedarik zinciri yönetimi olduğuve en fazla kullanılan yöntemin analitik hiyerarşi süreci yöntemi olduğu tespitedilmiştir., Along with the changingdynamics of world trade, notable differences in production technologies andconsumption habits, with the increasing strength of NGOs and sustainabilityideas and practices becoming widespread in almost all areas, the awarenesslevel of societies has been increased in terms of recycling of products anddisposing of them without harm to environment. This increased level of interestfrom communities, international organizations and NGOs has also given greaterimportance to Reverse Logistics views and practices, known as product recoveryin Logistics Management, reproduction and recall for product disposal orrepair. The focus of this study is to examine the scientific outcomes ofreverse logistics in the last decade and to demonstrate the course of researchand practices with a qualitative analysis. For this purpose, reverse logistics,reproduction, re-use, recovery, recycling, destruction, reverse flow, refurbishconcepts were used to scan in the Web of Science database and a total of 701publications were reached. Both bibliometric analysis and content analysismethods were used in the study. As a result, it was found that mostpublications were made in 2015, publications in the type of research articleswere in the majority and most publications were made by Auburn University inthe USA. In addition, it was determined that the most mentioned concept is thesupply chain in the abstracts, the most studied subject is closed loop supplychain management and the most used method is analytic hierarchy process.

The airline industry is one of the fastestgrowing industries in our country and worldwide and is one of the industriesthat make significant contributions to the global economy as well as to tourismand the Gross Domestic Product of the countries. In recent years, there hasbeen an improvement over the estimates of international organizations. Thissituation has made it mandatory for firms, which want to survive in a highlycompetitive environment and obtain sustainable competitive advantage, to offerhigh-quality services and retain existing customers and attract potentialcustomers. However, customer’s perceptions of service quality can affect theirlevel of satisfaction. In addition, customer characteristics, life experiences,consumption behaviors and habits can affect their perceptions of service. Forthis reason, in this study it was aimed to investigate the effect of GenerationX and Generation Y customers’perceived level of service quality on their satisfactionlevels. Independent-Samples T Test and Multiple Regression Analysis wereperformed in the study. As a result, it was found that perceptions of theGeneration Y about the dimension of “Reliability” and the perceptions of theGeneration X about the dimension of “Physical Appearance” had a statisticallysignificant and positive effect (biggest impact) on their satisfaction level., Havayolu endüstrisi, ülkemizdeve dünya genelinde en hızlı büyüyen ve küresel ekonominin yanı sıra turizme veülkelerin Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hâsılalarına önemli katkılar yapan endüstrilerdenbirisidir. Son yıllarda söz konusu endüstride, uluslararası kuruluşlarıntahminlerinin üzerinde gelişmeler yaşanmaktadır. Ayrıca, müşterilerin karakteristiközellikleri, hayat deneyimleri, tüketim davranışları ve alışkanlıkları da onlarınhizmete ilişkin algılarını etkileyebilmektedir. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada; X ve Ykuşağı müşterilerin hizmet kalitesine ilişkin algılamalarının onların tatmindüzeyleri üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada; Bağımsız İkiÖrneklem T Test ve Çoklu Regresyon Analizi yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; Y kuşağımüşterilerin “Güvenilirlik” boyutuna ilişkin algılamalarının, X kuşağımüşterilerin ise “Fiziksel Görünüm” boyutuna ilişkin algılamalarının onlarıntatmin düzeyleri üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif bir etki (enbüyük etki) yaptığı tespit edilmiştir.

Purpose: This study aims to create a model using a two-stage Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method to evaluate urban rail transport performance. Methodology: Within the scope of the study, the rail system lines operated in Ankara Electricity, Gas and Bus Operation Institution (EGO General Directorate) were evaluated by SWARA (Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis) and ARAS (Additive Ratio Assessment) methods, which are MCDM methods. The importance weights of the evaluation criteria were determined using SWARA method and the performance values of the rail system lines were calculated using ARAS method.Findings: According to the results of the study, it has been determined that the most important criteria is the maximum passenger capacity. Besides, alternatives are respectively from the highest to the lowest according to their performance; it has been found as Batıkent-Sincan/Törekent, Çayyolu-Kızılay, Batıkent-Kızılay, Keçiören-Atatürk Cultural Center and Aşti-Dikimevi.Originality: In the literature, it has been seen that SWARA and ARAS methods are not used as a two stage method in the measurement of urban rail transportation system performance and productivity. Moreover, it is believed that the study applies to other urban transportation systems and will contribute to the literature., Amaç: Bu çalışma, kent içi raylı ulaşım performansını değerlendirmek için iki aşamalı bir Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (ÇKKV) yöntemi kullanarak bir model oluşturmayı amaçlamaktadır.Yöntem: Çalışma kapsamında Ankara Elektrik, Havagazı ve Otobüs İşletme Müessesesi’nde (EGO Genel Müdürlüğü) işletilen raylı sistem hatları, SWARA (Step-Wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis) ve ARAS (Additive Ratio Assessment) yöntemleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. SWARA yöntemi ile değerlendirme kriterlerinin önem ağırlıkları belirlenmiş, ARAS yöntemi ile raylı sistem hatlarının performans değerleri hesaplanmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre değerlendirme kriterleri arasında en önemli kriterin maksimum yolcu kapasitesi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca alternatifler performanslarına göre en yüksekten en düşüğe doğru sırasıyla; Batıkent-Sincan/Törekent, Çayyolu-Kızılay, Batıkent-Kızılay, Keçiören-Atatürk Kültür Merkezi ve Aşti-Dikimevi olarak bulunmuştur.Özgünlük: Literatürde kent içi raylı ulaşım sistemi performans ve verimlilik ölçümü konusunda iki aşamalı bir yöntem olarak SWARA ve ARAS yöntemlerinin kullanılmadığı görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte çalışmanın diğer kent içi ulaşım sistemleri için de uygulanabilir olduğu ve literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

In recent years, significant developments have taken place in the airline industry. It is thought that the interest in the sector will increase continuously in the coming years. So the competition in the sector will be more intense as it is now. In this intense competitive environment, concepts such as customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, which are important determinants of sales and profitability of firms, will become as important as they are now. It is necessary for customers to have positive perception of the product or service offered by the firm in order to be satisfied. In addition, customer satisfaction may result in referrals to other people about the firm. Therefore, in this study, the mediating effect of customer satisfaction was investigated through online questionnaire. Factor analysis and regression analysis were performed in the study. As a result, the customer satisfaction has a full mediator effect between the perceived value and the word-of-mouth.

Since the vast majority of the world's population lives in cities,city logistics has a significant impact on improving people's quality of life,on the development of urban economies, and on the effectiveness of globalsupply chains. Especially with the changes in freight transportation and thespread of e-commerce, the effectiveness of city logistics has become an evenmore important phenomenon. As a consequence of these developments, airpollution is increasing in cities at a level that affects people's livesnegatively, traffic jams and accidents are occurring, the strategies of localgovernments regarding city logistics are interrupted and environmental concernsare experienced. This situation and similar problems have attracted theattention of politicians and researchers interested in urban logistics.Especially in the last decade, the number of studies on urban logistics hasincreased significantly. For this reason, in this study, it is aimed to examinethe researches conducted in the field of city logistics between 1970 and 2019with the help of bibliometric analysis method and to show the direction of theresearches about city logistics in academic literature. For this purpose, theWeb of Science database was searched using the topic of city logistics and atotal of 680 publications were reached. The publications were examined bybibliometric analysis method. As a result, it was found that the two mostcommonly used keywords were “city logistics” and “urban freight transport”respectively; E. Taniguchi is the author with the most co-authorship, thehighest number of publications and the most cited researchers; Italy was thecountry with the highest number of publications and the highest number ofcitations, and that the highest number of publications was made in 2016., Dünya çapında nüfusun büyük bir çoğunluğu şehirlerde yaşadığındandolayı insanların yaşam kalitelerinin arttırılmasında, kent ekonomilerininkalkınmasında ve küresel tedarik zincirlerinin etkinliğinde şehir lojistiğininönemli bir etkisi vardır. Özellikle yük taşımacılığındaki değişimler vee-ticaretin yaygınlaşması ile birlikte şehir lojistiğinin etkinliği daha daönemli bir olgu haline gelmiştir. Söz konusu gelişmelerin önemli bir sonucuolarak şehirlerde insan yaşamını olumsuz etkileyecek düzeyde hava kirliliğiartmakta, trafik sıkışıklıkları ve kazaları meydana gelmekte, yerelyönetimlerin şehir lojistiğine ilişkin stratejileri sekteye uğramakta veçevresel kaygılar yaşanmaktadır. Bu durum ve yaşanan buna benzer sorunlar,politikacıların ve şehir lojistiğine ilgi duyan araştırmacıların dikkatiniçekmiştir. Özellikle son on yılda şehir lojistiğine yönelik araştırmalarınsayısı önemli ölçüde artmıştır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada; 1970-2019 yıllarıarasında şehir lojistiği alanında yapılan araştırmaları bibliyometrik analizyöntemi yardımıyla incelemek ve akademik yazında şehir lojistiğine ilişkinaraştırmaların hangi doğrultuda ilerlediğini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Buamaç doğrultusunda Web of Science veritabanında şehir lojistiği kavramıkullanılarak tarama yapılmış ve toplamda 680 yayına ulaşılmıştır. Yayınlar,bibliyometrik analiz yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; en fazla kullanılan iki anahtar kelimeninsırasıyla “şehir lojistiği” ve “kentsel yük taşımacılığı” olduğu, en fazlaortak yazarlığı olan, en fazla yayın yapan ve en fazla atıf alan araştırmacınınE. Taniguchi olduğu, en fazla yayın yapan ve en fazla atıf alan ülkenin İtalyaolduğu ve en fazla yayının 2016 yılında yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir.

It is claimed that universities constituting the most functional dimension of the individualized education nowadays has failed to perform its task about educating social individuals at the intended level. One of its reasons is that the difference the social entrepreneurship may bring to the school success level cannot be measured or predicted mostly. In that case, whether the attitudes of the social activist groups consisted of volunteer individuals, social entrepreneurship efforts and student's school life contributes to educational success arouses curiosity. The objective of this study was to study and examine the tendency of social entrepreneurship arising differently in universities and its effects on the educational activities diversely. Field work concerning this subject was performed on 104 students from five universities in different cities of Turkey. The results of the study gave noteworthy information about the formations of social entrepreneurship groups in universities and they revealed the probable effects of conducted entrepreneurial activities to educational processes.

The logistic takes the lead among the fields of today's business administration open to develop. On the other hand, the Supply Chain Management (SCM) that includes the logistic and the reverse logistic operations is on the way to become an academic discipline on its own. At this point, it becomes inevitable for the professional managers to receive Logistic and SCM education as in the high education. In this research, the importance and necessity of Logistic and SCM education for the Professional managers (Adult education) are emphasized. In the detailed study of the literature regarding the subject, a number of determinations and suggestions regarding the significance of logistic and SCM education in terms of adult education and their sides open to develop are put forward.

In this study Leadership behaviours of Ninth Ottoman Empire Yavuz Sultan Selim, have been examined context of Transformational Leadership postmodern leadership approach and centralized with Otoman army. “Historical research method” has been used in study and examined questions as follows from the point of wiev of Transformational Leadership. What was the social events in Selims’ term?, How was the process of becoming ottoman about him? What are the critical point about three great war? How was his impression on his soldiers? And finaly How can we describe his reforms on Empire that they transformed Otoman Empire in a short term? Research result indicate that Yavuz Sultan Selim bears distinguished Transformational Leadership behavioural charesteristics that Idealized influance, intellectual stimulation and inspirational motivations. Yedi asır ayakta kalan Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun, ordusunu nasıl oluşturduğu ve ülkeden ülkeye zaferlere koşan askerlerin moral ve motivasyonuna nelerin tesir ettiğinin yanında; padişahların liderlik eğilimleri de ilgi duyulan konulardan biridir. Bu yazıda dokuzuncu Osmanlı Padişahı Yavuz Sultan Selim’in liderlik özellikleri, literatürde “Dönüştürücü Liderlik” olarak bilinen modern sonrası liderlik yaklaşımı bağlamında ve Osmanlı Ordusu merkezli olarak incelenmiştir. “Tarihsel Araştırma Yöntemi’nin kullanıldığı araştırmada; Yavuz Sultan Selim’in kişiliği, dönemindeki toplumsal olaylar, asker üzerindeki intibahı ve yaptığı değişikliklerin Osmanlı İmparatorluğu üzerinde ne gibi dönüşümler yarattığı sorularına, Dönüştürücü Liderlik yaklaşımının özellikleri ve davranış boyutları eksenli yanıt aranmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları, Yavuz Sultan Selim’in başat dönüştürücü liderlik özelliklerini ve dönüştürücü liderliğin davranış boyutlarından başta “idealleştirilmiş etki” olmak üzere, “entelektüel uyarma” ve “esinsel motivasyon” boyutlarını sergilediğini göstermektedir. Bulgularda bu tarz liderliğin “bireysel destek sağlama” davranışlarına rastlanmamıştır.

NGOs, which show its presence as a third sector apart from public sector and private sector nowadays, carry a supporting mission which takes over the things that public and private sector can’t accomplish. The focus interest of this study is the position of NGOs whose activities became considerably distinctive throughout the world. At student based universities, main parameter of NGO's entrepreneurship, which is based upon the idea of project development, is social entrepreneurship. As social entrepreneurship is not profit-minded like classic entrepreneurship, it is the starter of a business idea or a business plan against social matters. The environment framing the focus interest of study is created by the improvement of NGO's entrepreneurship at Vocational Schools in Turkey. From this point of view, it seems reasonable to gather the social entrepreneurships of pre-bachelor students such as project development, application, developing project idea, creating design units under the department like NGO. However, as there aren’t any NGO departments at universities of Turkey, the situation is carried out by integrating into the other courses at other departments. Nowadays NGOs, which have a wide area of student employability after graduation, carry a great importance for creating a popular attraction.

This study basically aims to determine the relationship between learning organization and organizational commitment, and to determine whether “emotional commitment”, “normative commitment” and “continuation commitment” which are subordinate elements of organizational commitment have effects on learning organization and subordinate elements of learning organization. Secondary aim is to contribute to the management literature by determining which dimension of organizational commitment is more effective on organization. The research was conducted on businesses registered to Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (Izmir/Turkey). The results of the research indicate that organizational commitment is an element which affects learning organization. Moreover, the findings of the research suggest that the information age organizations need to obtain employees with high organizational commitment and take measures in order to increase commitments of employees in order to become learning organizations.

Today, the industry has created demand for well-trained people. In the labor market, educational system depending on competition has expanded to provide more skills for more people. On the other hand the production of information technology imported from abroad and the adoption of these manufacturing techniques ensure compliance; research and development activities supported by educational activities are closely related to each other. Education, by increasing labor productivity is also contributing economic growth. Productivity is increasing with education results in variety and increase of the earnings of the labor force at different education levels. Relevant literature on topic shows that economic growth is being accelerated in countries where education level is higher. The contribution of education to economic growth in some cases is more than physical capital, when trained manpower and expectations of the economy are taken into consideration. Thus, individuals in a country where they benefit from education services constitute an integrated capital for themselves. This also necessitates forming to create human resources in a country to accelerate economic growth and to use these resources in required fields. In this study, it is objected to bring a concept of perspective in interaction of education and technology, employment with economic growth.

The value attributed to human with respect to both those who govern and those who are governed in the information age stress on the requirement of human for becoming an intellectual. It is assessed that one of the most important values that will bring the biggest momentum to the Humanity in the 21st century will be intellectual workers of organizations based on information. Increasing quantity and quality of intellectual individuals is related to using the active learning techniques of today. Human resource of the information age is to become the human resource which knows how to access and use every kind of information and constantly improves their creativity. In the information society, all organizations which desire to benefit from the human resources effectively and manage the information which has a strategic value and become an information age organization have to build their training and development activities upon the understanding of continuous training. In this case, the view of information society organizations on the human element is a viewpoint which perceives the human resource which creates innovation and information in the center of organizational processes, and feels the need to design the organization human-oriented.

Increasing education need in today's bewilderingly fast changing organizations necessitates review of the recent educational policies. In today's information age, it is seen that programs and plans that are for a certain period or age group are being abandoned quickly and life-long learning programs for every age group and every educational level have been put into practice in different dimensions. On the other hand the value given to educated human resource in information age made it compulsory that people who give education to individuals in every field and administrators to be qualified. “Function of planning” is one of the most functional dimensions of educational administration and it became strategically a parameter that defines efficiency of educational policies and quality of education. In this study an evaluation about “adult education” that will have wider application area in the future and “planning” concept is presented.

This study opens for discussion, the vocational backgrounds of University Rectors at Turkish Universities for the 2007–2008 and 2008–2009 academic years within the context of Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences. The study is based on a critical evaluation which focuses on the problem that the Rectors do not come from an equal distribution of occupations and the problem created by the selection system. The fact that Medical Doctor's constituted % 49.4 of all the serving Rectors during the 2007–2008 academic year, testifies to this fact. The study has been realized in this focal axis and the assumptions are that the research data could be gathered via YOK, telephone calls and the web sites of the universities and that at the subsequent phase, this data could be developed and expanded by the use of descriptive analysis.

The concept of sustainable development aims to improve the future generation's living standards and to change the current generation's quality of life. The institutionalizing of the developments and successes in the field of education which is the fundamental component of sustainable development is very important from the point of view of being able to create a sustainable future. Although the extensive change and transformation efforts being expanded in our contemporary educational institutions have met with measurable success, the same cannot be said about the success of their sustainability. In this study the phenomenon of sustainable development is examined specially within the context of the successful orientation initiatives of public educational institutions. In Turkey, the field research on this subject has been carried out by three educational institutions that hold the European Foundation Of Quality Management (EFQM) based National Quality Prize (NQP). The results off the research show; important problems in the sustainability of the successes secured in relation to quality of education and customer satisfaction in educational institutions in the primary and junior high school domains. It has been observed that the obstacles in sustainable development in education are generally administrator based. Also the sustainability phenomenon of the success achieved in educational institution is influenced by the problems of other public structures.

One of the most important parameters that affect the development of adolescents is their nutrition level. It is known that adolescents with a balanced diet have advantages in academic success as well as physiological development. In the puberty where quite various psychological and physiological variations occur, child raising attitudes of parents is admittedly important with regard to the behavior of adolescents. This study aims to bring a viewpoint to healthy nutrition concept which is required for healthy development and individual success of adolescents with regard to attitudes within the family which is the smallest unit of a society and socio-economical status of the family. Sampling of the research is composed of 116 adolescents and their parents who applied to Ankara (Turkey) Diskapi Pediatrics Training and Research Hospital with nutrition complaints. In order to determine the attitudes of parents of adolescents whose nutrition and development conditions are measured clinically, Parent Attitude Scale and socio-demographical scale have been used in the research. Research findings indicate that there is a negative correlation between democratic child-raising attitudes of parents and level of nutrition of adolescents. While the level of nutrition varies depending on the income level of the families, no variation depending on “education level” of parents has been determined.

This study aims to determine the burnout levels of second year vocational school students in Turkey depending on some variables. The study was conducted in accordance with field scanning method towards a sample audience of 221 people in Canakkale 18 Mart University. Maslach Burnout Inventory is used as the survey scale. “t test” and “One-Way Anova Variance Model” have been used as statistical analysis. Results of the survey indicate that the burnout levels of vocational high school students are high. The students perceive burnout mostly as “emotional burnout”. Female students have higher burnout level than male students. No difference depending on socio-economic status has been determined between the burnout levels of vocational school students. Most of the students who are having vocational and technical education are not happy about being in a vocational school. It is found that employment concerns about the future play a significant role in the burnout levels of students.

The purpose of the study is to analyze academic self esteem levels of primary school children whose families applied to the hospital with different complaints according to certain demographic variants. Furthermore, in the study, an answer for the question of whether there is a relation between stress and level of dealing with stress and academic self esteem of students was looked for. 241 primary school children who are between ages 8-13 and applied to two public hospitals in Ankara region constitute the sample of the research. 3 different scales which are stress level scale, academic self esteem scale and demographic scale were used in the research. According to results of the research, it was found out that academic self esteem levels of students differ according to level of education of their parents, economic condition of their families and the number of the years in which they received education. Other findings show the existence of a reverse and meaningful relation between academic self esteems and stress levels of the students.

The global competition oriented-enterprises, sea, land and rail route enterprises of the nations, strategic agricultural and industrial production centers, energy production and distribution enterprises as well as the strategic public organizations such as armed forces and law enforcement agencies will tend toward advanced professionalized outsourcing applications. The production cost competition will be replaced by the supply-chain cost competition. As it is, it is within the claim that the new generation suppliers turn the logistic sector of the operational ability and expertise needed labor force into an out-and-out area of employment. On the other hand, the organizations based on the information and communication network in America and in Far Asia, day by day tend toward using performance-based logistics and 3rd party logistic applications. In logistics, the affordability of the augmentation of human sources and supplier demand with skilled labor make it already necessary to deal the supply-chain and logistics management in a strategic dimension. In this study, a set of determination and proposals about the supply-chain in the strategic organizations and logistics management activity requirements are presented.

While the number of universities was limited to 21 in 1981, by 1992, 21 state and 2 foundation universities were added to this number, and 18 new foundation universities were established between 1994 and 1998. Establishment of as much as 41 new universities in 1990 s indicates that a ‘boom’ in number of universities was experienced for the first time and this triggered the process which shaped the universities. Today this number reached to 139 universities (94 state, 45 foundation). In this study, the rapid quantitative development in the number of universities and students in Turkish higher education and proliferation of universities in the country in the 1990 s which took over the 1981 university reform is analyzed. Difficulties of public and private sector in keeping up with quantitative increase of students and institutions constitute the background of this. Moreover, despite the number of institutions and students being tripled between 1982 and 1996, the resources allocated to higher education in the same period increased only by 15-20%. Universities which faced resource problems have difficulties in fulfilling their needs and this becomes more evident with the problems of the new universities.

In the literature two different concepts and approaches are available as academics and academician. The concept of academician being used for the academic personnel in Turkey gets contact with a wrong semantic shift. Because, the approach of academician is used as a title for the members in the science and art academy such as Academic Francaise, Academic Gouncourt and the Royal Academy based in the Continental Europe and the United Kingdom. Whereas, the concept of academics is mostly used in the United States as based on the process of academic career. In this study, the reasons of the mistake of usage of the concept of academician being used for the teaching staff in Turkey and the historical basis thereof are opened for discussion within the context of the approach and justifications so put forward.

The demand for intermediate staff and manager for logistics and logistics management, which are regarded as one of the future jobs, has rapidly increased in parallel with the development of the sector. This demand means “Logistics Technician” for the transportation and logistics sector. The logistics technicians take place in important positions in every stage as intermediate staff in production, energy and service sectors among laborers, engineers and managers. In parallel with this, the need for qualified labor force increased the level of interest of the vocational and technical universities in the subject and especially the number of logistics programs in vocational schools improved significantly. The purpose of this study is to bring the logistic education in Turkey into question in framework of vocational schools that comprise the most functional side of vocational and technical education and to put forward resolution suggestions by presenting the current situation, demands and suggestions by a scientific point of view. Another motivation of study is examining the careers of academicians in the logistics programs. In the direction of this purpose, the logistics programs of thirteen vocational schools (associate degree) in Turkey were subjected to content analysis. Results showed that the logistics programs developed rapidly, but have sides open to develop. It is understood that the instructors in logistics programs received generally Economics and Administrative Sciences education (Postgraduate).

Lojistik sektöründe yaşanan büyüme hızı ve yenilikçi olma ihtiyacı, lojistik profesyonellerinin de yenilikçi ve güncel olmasını zorunlu kılmaktadır. Lojistik faaliyetlerinde etkin ve verimli olabilmek için nitelikli işgücüne ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bütün bu özelliklerin kazanılmasında en önemli görev eğitim kurumlarına yani lojistik eğitimlerindeki profesyonellere düşmektedir. Bu araştırma kapsamında ortaöğretim lojistik eğitimlerinde görev alan Ulaştırma Hizmetleri Öğretmenlerinin karşılaştıkları problemlerin ve alt boyutlarının tespit edilmesi, bu problemlerin çözümüne yönelik öneriler sunulması amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma kapsamında yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniği ile karşılaşılan problemler üzerine uzman görüşleri alınmış, sıralanmış ve sınıflandırılmıştır. Literatür ve uzman grubu görüşlerinden hareketle oluşturulan araştırma anketi, likert ölçeği formatında uygulanmıştır. Verilerin elde edilmesinde anket formu kullanılmıştır. Anketler Türkiye'de ortaöğretimde görev yapan Ulaştırma Hizmetleri Öğretmenlerine internet ortamında uygulanmıştır. 165 anket formu analize tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırmanın istatistiksel analiz kısmında; yüzde ve frekans dağılımları, faktör analizi, normallik analizi, güvenilirlik analizi, Bağımsız İki Örneklem T Testi ve Anova Testi yapılmıştır. In order to be effective and efficient in logistics activities, qualified labor force is needed. The most important task in the acquisition of all these features belongs to the training institutions, in other words, professionals in logistics education. Within the scope of this research, it is aimed to determine the problems faced by the teachers and to offer suggestions for solving these problems. Qualitative and quantitative research methods were used in the study. For qualitative research, expert opinions on the problems faced with semi-structured interview technique were collected, sorted and classified. The research questionnaire, which was formed from the opinions of the literature and expert group, was applied in the form of likert scale. The surveys were conducted in the internet environment. 165 questionnaires were analyzed. In the statistical analysis part of the research; percentage and frequency distributions, factor analysis, normality analysis, reliability analysis, Independent Two Samples T Test and Anova Test were used. Lojistik faaliyetlerin etkili yönetilmesi, işletmelerin yoğun rekabetle mücadele edebilme ve piyasadaki değişen koşullara karşı işletmenin hızlı cevap verebilme yetilerini geliştirecek bir araç olarak kullanılabilmektedir. Bu durum işletmelerin müşteri memnuniyetini arttırmak ve rakiplerine karşı sürdürülebilir bir üstünlük elde edebilmeleri amacıyla lojistik hizmet kalitesinde iyileştirme yapmaları gerektiğine dair bir farkındalık oluşturmuştur. Lojistik hizmet kalitesinde yapılacak iyileştirmeler müşteri ihtiyaçlarının hizmet süreçlerinde aktarılmasıyla mümkün olmaktadır. Bu nedenle müşteri ihtiyaçlarının ve bunlara sunulacak teknik çözümlerin belirlenmesi hayati bir öneme sahiptir. Bu sebeple çalışmada müşteri ihtiyaçlarının teknik çözümlerle birleştirilerek bunların hizmet süreçlerine aktarılmasıyla hizmet kalitesini arttırmak için bir harita sunan 'Kalite Fonksiyon Yayılımı' yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Kalite Fonksiyon Yayılımı uygulaması yapılacak firma TOPSIS yöntemiyle seçilmiştir. TOPSIS yönteminin uygulanması için gereken kriter ağırlıkları Entropi yöntemiyle hesaplanmıştır. Müşteri ihtiyaçlarının tespiti için literatür taraması yapılmış ardından yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Müşteri ihtiyaçlarının önem derecelerinin ve firmaların bu ihtiyaçları karşılama düzeylerinin tespiti için anket uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerle Kalite Fonksiyon Yayılımı uygulamasının aşamaları takip edilerek seçilen kargo firması için kalite evi oluşturulmuştur. Son olarak kalite evi yorumlanarak firmanın hizmet kalitesini geliştirmek için öneriler sunulmuştur.

Gün geçtikçe işletmeler birbirlerine daha bağımlı hale gelmekte ve çevrelerine olan duyarlılığı daha çok artmakta, bu da sektörel rekabetin artmasına neden olmaktadır. Yoğun rekabet ortamıyla baş etmek zorunda kalan organizasyonlar, daha profesyonel ve özgün iş süreçlerine sahip olmak için kurumsallaşma yoluna gitmektedir. Organizasyon eylemlerinin kurallara tabi tutulması, otonom haklara sahip profesyonel uzmanlar tarafından yönetilmesi, oturmuş bir örgüt kültürüne sahip olunması kurumsallaşmanın önemli adımlarından sadece birkaçıdır. Çalışmanın diğer bir değişkeni olan lojistik performans ise, karmaşık lojistik faaliyetlerine ve tedarik zincirindeki paydaşlarına en hızlı şekilde yanıt vermek zorunda olan işletmelerin, bu amaçlarını ne şekilde gerçekleştirecekleri konusuyla ilgilenmektedir. Lojistik faaliyetlerin en doğru biçimde yürütülmesinin yanında, rakiplerden üstün, çevredeki değişimlere karşı esnek ve hızlı tepkiler veren iş süreçlerine sahip olunması, lojistik performansı yüksek organizasyonların başlıca özellikleridir. Bu tezde hem kurumsal hem de operasyonel anlamda organizasyonlar açısından büyük önem taşıyan kurumsallaşma ve lojistik performans kavramları arasındaki ilişki, Batı Akdeniz Bölgesinde lojistik faaliyette bulunan işletmeler üzerinde uygulanarak ampirik bir uygulamayla araştırılmaktadır. Kurumsallaşma ve lojistik performansın birlikte ele alındığı ve aralarındaki ilişkiyi ölçen bir çalışmanın literatürde araştırılmamış olması, bu tezin hazırlanmasındaki temel motivasyon kaynağıdır. Organizasyonlar açısından büyük öneme sahip bu kavramların, pozitif yönlü bir ilişki içerisinde olduğuna yönelik kurduğumuz hipotezler araştırma sonuçlarında desteklenmiştir. Tez sonuçlarının, kurumsallaşmak ve lojistik performansını arttırarak operasyonel faaliyetlerde daha etkin adımlar atmak isteyen sektördeki organizasyonlara rehber niteliğinde olacağı ve literatürdeki mevcut boşluğu doldurarak gelecekte ortaya çıkacak olan çalışmalara ışık tutacağı düşünülmektedir. Day by day, businesses are becoming more dependent on each other, their sensitivity to their environment increases more and this leads to an increase in sectoral competition. Organizations that have to cope with the intense competition environment are on the way to institutionalization to have more professional and unique business processes. It is only a few of the important steps in institutionalization that organizing acts are subject to rule, being managed by professional experts with autonomous rights, and having an established organization of cultures. At the same time, the logistics performance, which is another variable of the study, deals with the issue of how businesses that have to respond to their complex logistics activities and stakeholders in the supply chain in the fastest way, are also interested in how businesses can achieve these goals. In addition to performing logistics activities in the most accurate way, catching optimization, superior to competitors, flexible and fast response to changes in the environment are the main characteristics of organizations with high logistics performance.In this thesis, the relationship between the concepts of institutionalization and logistics performance, which are of great importance both in institutional and operational terms, will be investigated with an empirical application on the enterprises operating logistics in the West Mediterranean Region. The fact that a study that takes institutionalization and logistics performance together and measures the relationship between them is not investigated in the literature is the main source of motivation in the preparation of this thesis. The hypotheses that we have established for these concepts, which are of great importance for organizations, have a positive relationship are supported in the research results It is thought that the results of the thesis will guide organizations in the sector who want to take more effective steps in the operational activities by increasing their institutionalization and logistic performance, and will shed light on the future studies by filling the existing gap in the literature. 154

Geçmişten günümüze kadar olan sanayileşme süreci, dört farklı dalga üzerinden açıklanmaktadır. Su ve buhar gücü ile çalışan makinelerin keşfi, elektriğin ve montaj hattının yardımı ile seri üretime geçiş ve dünyanın global bir köy haline gelmesine zemin hazırlayan internet ve bilgi teknolojileri alanındaki çığır açıcı yenilikler tarihe tanıklık etmiştir. Batılı ülkelerin üretimdeki rekabet üstünlüklerini yeniden ele geçirme motivasyonu ile hareket ettiği Endüstri 4.0, 2011 yılında Almanya'da ortaya atılarak resmi sanayi politikası haline getirilen bir esnek üretim stratejisidir. Diğerlerinden farklı olarak üstel bir hızla ilerleyen bu devrim; nesnelerin interneti, siber fiziksel sistemler, büyük veri ve otonom robot gibi daha birçok teknolojik yapının, endüstride kullanılmasını mümkün kılmakta ve üretimi akıllı hale getirmektedir. Gen dizilemeden, nanoteknolojilere kadar her alanda tesirlerini hissettirecek olan bu devrimin, lojistik sektöründe etkilerini nasıl göstereceği konusu merak uyandırmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada, Endüstri 4.0'ın lojistik sektöründe halihazırda görülen ve gelecekte görülmesi muhtemel olan potansiyel etkiler incelenmiş ve Lojistik 4.0'ı dördüncü sanayi devrimine taşıyacak teknoloji trendleri araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca, dünyadaki `akıllı lojistik` uygulamalarına da yer verilerek lojistik hizmetlerde verimlilik sağlayan yenilikler ile ekonomide katma değer yaratmak isteyen Türkiye için bir kıyaslama (benchmarking) merdiveni oluşturması hedeflenmiştir. Çalışmanın yöntemi doğrultusunda, dördüncü sanayi devriminin lojistik sektörüne olan etkileri konusundaki firma yetkililerinin algılarını keşfetmeye yönelik, Antalya bölgesinde lojistik faaliyette bulunan işletmelerde, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yüz yüze görüşme kapsamında elde edilen veriler, bilgisayar destekli nitel veri analizi programında çözümlenerek yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında, firmaların büyük çoğunluğunun Endüstri 4.0'ı, başta üretim olmak üzere tüm iş süreçlerinde teknolojinin başrolde olmasını ve dijital dönüşüm kapsamında da bu süreçlerin birbirine bağlanması olarak algıladıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Endüstri 4.0'ın lojistik sektörüne olan etkileri noktasındaki algılarda ise sanayileşmedeki dördüncü dalga ile lojistikteki süreçlerin hızlanarak büyük bir ivme kazanacağı, verimliliği ve kalifiye eleman ihtiyacını arttıracağı görüşleri, çoğunluk dahilinde olmuştur. The industrialization process from the past to the present is explained through four different waves. The discovery of water and steam powered machines, the transition to mass production with the help of electricity and assembly line, and the groundbreaking innovations in the field of internet and information technologies, which paved the way for the world to become a global village, have witnessed history. Industry 4.0, in which Western countries act with the motivation to recapture their competitive advantages in production, is a flexible production strategy that was introduced in Germany in 2011 and turned into an official industrial policy. This revolution, which, unlike the others, proceeds at an exponential speed; It makes it possible to use many other technological structures such as internet of objects, cyber physical systems, big data and autonomous robot in the industry and make production smart. It is curious how this revolution, which will make its effects felt in every field, from gene sequencing to nanotechnologies, will show its effects in the logistics sector. Therefore, in this study, the potential effects of Industry 4.0 in the logistics sector, which are likely to be seen in the future, are investigated and technology trends that will lead Logistics 4.0 to the fourth industrial revolution are investigated. The study also in the world of `smart logistics` practices in place giving a benchmark for logistics services in Turkey who want to create added value in the economy with innovations that provide efficiency (benchmarking) aimed to create a ladder.In accordance with the methodology of the study, semi-structured interviews were conducted in the logistics companies in Antalya region in order to discover the perceptions of the firm authorities about the effects of the fourth industrial revolution on the logistics sector. The data obtained from face to face interviews were analyzed and interpreted in the computer aided qualitative data analysis program. In the light of the findings, it was revealed that the majority of the companies perceived Industry 4.0 as the leading role of technology in all business processes, especially production, and the interconnection of these processes within the scope of digital transformation. In the perception of the effects of Industry 4.0 on the logistics sector, the fourth wave of industrialization and the views that the processes in logistics will accelerate and increase the efficiency and the need for qualified personnel were within the majority. 155

Bu çalışma Osmanlı Ordusunun lojistik organizasyonunu, bu organizasyonun performansını ve dönemler arasında lojistik organizasyonunun gelişimi ve değişimi konularını kapsamaktadır. Birincil kaynaklar olan T.C. Başbakanlık Devlet Arşivleri Genel Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı Osmanlı Arşivi Daire Başkanlığı, Topkapı Sarayı Arşivi ile Genelkurmay Askeri Tarih ve Stratejik Etüt ve Denetleme Başkanlığı Arşivi'nden elde edilen veriler ve belgeler ışığında, Osmanlı Ordusunun kuruluşundan itibaren lojistik faaliyetlerinin gelişimi ile içinde bulunulan çağın gereklerine uyumu bakımından geçirdiği değişimler ele alınmıştır. Üç bölümde hazırlanan tezde; birinci bölümde, Lojistik kavramı, Askeri Lojistik ve Lojistiğin Prensipleri incelenmiştir.Bu sayede, Osmanlı Ordusu'nun döneminin en iyi lojistik organizasyona sahip olmasının altında yatan unsurlara Lojistik Bilimi açısından ışık tutulmuştur. İkinci bölümde, arşiv belgelerinde yer alan hükümlerde bahsedilen kavramların ve bu kapsamda kurulmuş olan lojistik organizasyonun daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi maksadıyla Osmanlı Devleti'nin genel hatlarıyla idari yapısı, ordunun asker ve gıda lojistik kaynağı olan toprak sistemi ve ordunun teşkilatlanmasından bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, geçmişten günümüze kadar değişmeden gelen ikmal maddeleri sınıflandırılmış ve sınıflandırılan ikmal maddelerinin temini ve nakli ile sefer öncesi, esnası ve sonrasında yapılan diğer tüm lojistik faaliyetler arşiv belgeleri ışığında incelenerek Osmanlı Ordusunun Lojistik Sistemi ortaya konmuş ve bu sistemin daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi maksadıyla çeşitli dönemlerde yapılan seferlerdeki lojistik organizasyon anlatılmıştır.

Havayolu endüstrisi, Türkiye'de ve dünya genelinde en hızlı büyüyen ve küresel ekonominin yanı sıra turizme ve ülkelerin Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hâsılalarına önemli katkılar yapan endüstrilerden birisidir. Son yıllarda söz konusu endüstride, uluslararası kuruluşların tahminlerinin üzerinde gelişmeler yaşanmaktadır. Bu durum, yoğun rekabet ortamında ayakta kalmak ve sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı elde etmek isteyen firmalar için kaliteli hizmetler sunarak mevcut müşterileri elde tutmalarını ve potansiyel müşterileri kendilerine çekmelerini zorunlu kılmaktadır. Bununla birlikte müşterilerin aldıkları hizmete ilişkin kalite algılamaları, onların tatmin düzeylerini etkileyebilmektedir. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada; havayolu ulaşımını tercih eden X kuşağı ve Y kuşağı müşterilerin memnuniyet düzeylerinin ölçülmesi ve karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Verilerin elde edilmesi için anket formu hazırlanmış ve yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle veriler elde edilmiştir. Anket formu, Antalya Havalimanı iç hatlar gelen-giden yolcu bölümündeki yolculara uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada; Frekans ve Yüzde analizleri, Güvenilirlik analizi, Faktör analizi, Normallik analizi, Ki-Kare Bağımsızlık Testi, Bağımsız İki Örneklem T Test ve Çoklu Regresyon Analizi yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; X kuşağı ve Y kuşağı katılımcıların memnuniyet düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu, X kuşağı katılımcıların memnuniyet düzeylerinin Y kuşağı katılımcılara oranla kısmen daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Son yıllarda popüler ve tartışmalı kavramlardan biri olan sürdürülebilirlik, gelecek nesiller için kendi imkanlarını karşılayabilmelerini sağlayan, araştırmaya açık konulardandır. Genellikle çevresel boyutu ön plana çıkmasına rağmen kavram aslında ekonomi ve sosyal boyutu da kapsamaktadır. Sürdürülebilirlik çevre, ekonomi ve sosyal alanlarda bir bağ kurarak işletmelere rekabet gücünü sağlamaktadır. Bununla birlikte sürdürülebilirlik lojistik alanında da önemli yerini almıştır. Sürdürülebilirlik uygulamaları ile lojistik performansı arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemeye yönelik araştırma sayısının çok sınırlı olması ve özellikle Kazakistan'da buna ilişkin araştırmaların olmaması, bu tezin yazılmasında belirleyici olmuştur. Araştırmada Kazakistan Almatı bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren lojistik işletmelerinde yapılan bir uygulamayla, sürdürülebilirlik (çevresel, ekonomik ve sosyal) ile lojistik performansı (gümrük, altyapı, sevkiyat, kalite, izlenebilirlik, zaman) arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Kazakistan Almatı bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren lojistik işletmelerde toplam 149 işgörene anket uygulanmıştır. Çalışanların lojistik işletmelerindeki sürdürülebilirlik uygulamalarına ilişkin görüşleriyle lojistik performansı düzeyini tespit etmek amacıyla kullanılan anket iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, sürdürülebilirliğin üç boyutuna (çevresel, ekonomi, sosyal), ikinci bölümde lojistik performansına ilişkin toplam 28 adet ifade bulunmaktadır. Öncellikle Faktör analiziyle sürdürülebilirliğin alt boyutları ölçülmüş ve bir araya getirilmiştir, sonra verilerin güvenilirliğini test etmek için güvenilirlik testi yapılmıştır. İşletmelerin özellikleriyle sürdürülebilirik uygulamaları ve lojistik performansı arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olup olmadığını test etmek için varyans analizi yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, çalışmanın ana amacı olan sürdürülebilirik uygulamaları ile lojistik performansı arasındaki ilişki korelasyon analizi ile belirlenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına bakıldığında, araştırmanın temel problemi olan sürdürülebilirlik uygulamaları ile lojistik performansı arasında bir ilişkinin olup olmadığına dair elde edilen verilerin analizi, değişkenler arasında anlamlı, pozitif yönde ve doğrusal bir ilişkinin varlığını göstermektedir. Hesaplanan korelasyon katsayısı orta derecelidir (r=0,524). Ayrıca sadece sürdürülebilirlik uygulamaları ve lojistik performansının genel haliyle değil, sürdürülebilirlik uygulamalarının çevresel, ekonomik ve sosyal boyutları ile lojistik performans boyutu arasında da anlamlı ve pozitif yönlü ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Boyutlar bazında en yüksek ilişki çevresel sürdürülebilirlik, en düşük ilişki ise sosyal sürdürülebilirlik boyutlarında ortaya çıkmıştır.

Tedarik zinciri entegrasyonunun etkili bir şekilde uygulanması, tedarik zinciri rekabetçiliğinin ve geliştirilmiş performansın yaratılmasıyla ilişkilidir. Ancak şimdiye kadar Somali'de Tedarik Zinciri Entegrasyonunun başarılı bir şekilde uygulanmasının etkisinin ampirik kısmına çok az dikkat çekilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Somali Uluslararası Ticaret İşletmelerinde Tedarik Zinciri entegrasyonunun (tedarikçi, dahili, müşteri ve bilgi), operasyonel performans (esneklik, zaman, kalite ve maliyet) üzerindeki etkisini araştırarak bu boşluğu doldurmaktır. Bu çalışma nedensellik çalışması olarak ele alınmış olup, TZE unsurlarının Somali'deki ihracat ve ithalat şirketlerinin OP'leri üzerindeki etkisini araştırmaktadır. Çalışmada, 154 farklı uluslararası ticaret şirketinde çalışan yöneticileri incelenmiştir. Ihracat/İthalat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren firmalarda görev yapan 281 yöneticiden anket uygulaması ile veri toplanmıştır. SPSS 21 istatistik programı kullanılarak faktör analizi ve boyutsal gruplamalar için temel bileşenler analizi yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı istatistik, korelasyon ve varyans analizi gibi istatistiksel teknikler kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın temel bulguları, tedarik zinciri entegrasyonunun Somali Uluslararası Ticaret Işletmelerinde operasyonel performans üzerinde güçlü ve pozitif bir etkiye sahip olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca, ampirik sonuçlar, TZE'nin dört boyutu ve bunlar ile OP arasında güçlü karşılıklı ilişkiler ile etkileşimlerin olduğunu göstermiştir. Sonuçlar, iç entegrasyonun OP üzerinde en yüksek etkiye sahip olduğunu, ardından müşteri entegrasyonu, sonra tedarikçi entegrasyonu ve en son olarak da bilgi entegrasyonu olduğunu göstermiştir. Ampirik araştırma sonuçları, Tedarik Zinciri Entegrasyonunun boyutları ile şirket operasyonel performansı arasında bir ilişki bulunduğunu göstermektedir. Mogadişu Bölgesi'nde ithalat ve ihracat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerin tedarik zinciri yönetimi uygulamaları performanslarına anlamlı katkı sağlamaktadır. Son olarak, mevcut çalışma, birbiriyle sıkı sıkıya bağlı oldukları ve hepsi de OP'yi olumlu yönde etkiledikleri için TZE'nın dört boyutununu birlikte geliştirmeyi önermektedir.
