Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of clinical pathway implementation in pediatric patients with acute diarrhea with mild-moderate dehydration on clinical outcomes, length of stay, use of quality and quantity of antibiotics at North Jakarta Teaching Hospital. This study is a quantitative study using a retrospective cohort case study method. The samples in this study were pediatric patients with a diagnosis of acute diarrhea with mild-moderate dehydration who were hospitalized at the North Jakarta Teaching Hospital for the period January-December 2020 and January-December 2021 before and after the implementation of the clinical pathway, totaling 274 patients. The data used is secondary data in the form of medical records of pediatric patients with acute diarrhea with mild-moderate dehydration who were hospitalized at the North Jakarta Teaching Hospital. The data that has been collected is then processed and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed Qualitative use of antibiotics with the Gyssens method after the application of clinical pathway is better than before the application of clinical pathway. Quantitative antibiotic administration with the DDD method in pediatric patients with acute diarrhea with dehydration before and after the application of clinical pathway the highest was ceftriaxone antibiotics after the application of clinical pathway with DDD/100 patient-days value increased compared to before clinical pathway. Abstract

Background: Vaccine is an essential tool to limit the health of the COVID -19 pandemic and one of the vaccines that got permitted to used is AstraZeneca Vaccine. The base of the AstraZeneca is the viral vector vaccine. This vaccine has a more advanced method that uses a modified virus to trigger antibodies to make herd immunity for people. Objective: To found correlation between antibody titer than the incidence of Covid infection after complete dose vaccination base on sociodemographics Method: Observasional prospective Cohort method was use in this study with a convenience sampling design. Inclusion criteria were all Indonesian citizens above 18 years old (n=113) who were vaccinated at UTA 45 Jakarta Vaccine Center with no history of COVID -19 before the vaccination and had filled up the informed consents. Results: there were 43 (38%) respondents infected Covid-19 after vaccinated full dosesConclusion: Base on this study, it was found that there was a correlation between sociodemographics after vaccinated full doses AstraZeneca, gender, age, comorbid, smoking, and drinking than infected Covid -19 (P-value < 0.05)). Abstract

Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common metabolic and reproductive disorder affecting women of childbearing age. Its symptoms associated with androgen excess and menstrual abnormalities have great impact on the quality of life in women with PCOS. Data on the knowledge of PCOS and health-related practices among Malaysian women is scarce. This study aimed to determine the prevalence, knowledge and health-related practices of PCOS among women in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among women in Klang Valley, Malaysia using a self-administered questionnaire. Participants were conveniently recruited through online platforms. Questionnaire consisted of four sections. The knowledge scores ranged from 0-20 where < 10 was classified as poor knowledge. Health-related practices scores ranged from 10-50, with score <30 was classified as poor practice. Descriptive statistics was used to report demographic characteristics. Inferential statistics was used to report the differentiation, association, and correlations of the variables. Results: A total of 410 respondents participated in this survey. The finding revealed that 43 (10.49%) respondents had medical diagnosis of PCOS, 11 (2.68%) were diagnosed with PCOS based on signs and symptoms, and 135 (32.93%) were suspected with PCOS. Nearly half of the respondents had poor knowledge (47.30%) and poor practice (47.60%) of PCOS. Also, 46 (11.22%) respondents reported abnormal scalp hair loss and 30 (7.32%) respondents had diabetes. Educational levels and PCOS history were significantly associated with PCOS knowledge. Respondents with healthcare related educational background demonstrated good knowledge (p<0.01). Majority of respondents (n= 328, 80%) were unable to control their diets on weekends. Married participants and aged between 40 to 45 women showed better practice of PCOS. Conclusion: Nearly half of the respondents had poor knowledge and healthrelated practices towards PCOS. Women with suspected or diagnosed PCOS should seek immediate medical help as early diagnosis and treatment for PCOS are beneficial in improving their quality of life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The length of time a patient undergoes Hemodialysis (HD) is a factor related to the prevalence of HCV; this may be related to an increased risk of exposure to HCV in the hospital environment, such as blood transfusion, repeated vascular access, hygiene, and mixing room. So, The purpose of this research was to evaluate the mortality rate and survival analysis among hemodialyzed patients with HCV.The study was conducted by Cohort prospective and retrospective study at a hemodialysis center in Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital Jakarta, Indonesia. Participants who were included in this study were 111 patients (mean age 53, 67% male, 33% Female). Participants of this study were HD patients with HCV who were followed up for three months and patients who had died within the last five years from 2015-2019. Universal sampling was used to select patients based on inclusion criteria. Male patients were predominant than female (64 patients). Almost all sociodemography items had a significant correlation with the duration of hemodialysis except gender (P >0,05). Around 95,65% HD patients were infected by hepatitis C after initiating hemodialysis. Most of HD patients with hepatitis C had hypertensive (63,54%) and did not receive any hepatitis C treatment (66,67%). Patients who received Daclatasvir and Sofubusvir had a 100% survival rate since the initiating of hemodialysis. The study concluded that the mortality rate was high among HCV patients undergone HD without treatment HCV, with about 8%. The highest survival rate was HD patients with hepatitis C undergoing treatment with daclatasvir + Sofosbuvir. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
