Desde un estudio cuantitativo, se aplicó un cuestionario de 52 reactivos, con el propósito de explorar aspectos de equipamiento y canasta básica; condiciones familiares, reprobación, rendimiento académico y la motivación hacia la escuela. Se caracteriza un plantel con una muestra aleatoria de 43 estudiantes de sexto semestre. Entre los resultados, se reportan los niveles de escolaridad del padre y de la madre; el 56% cuenta con computadora y el 86% con internet; el 42% trabaja y obtiene un ingreso menor al salario mínimo. Entre las conclusiones, se observó que la reprobación representa el riesgo de abandono escolar. Abstract This paper describes socioeconomic conditions in families and educational aspects of young people in high school. From a quantitative study, a questionnaire consisting of 52 test items was applied with the aim of exploring aspects of equipment and the basic food basket, family situations, grade failure, academic performance, and motivation towards school. A high school was characterized with a sample where 43 students in sixth semester were randomly sampled. Among the results obtained, 56% of students have a computer and 86% have internet; 42% work and perceive an income inferior to the established minimum wage; and a report of their mother's or father's educational level was required. Among the findings, we observed that failure to achieve a passing grade represented a risk of dropout.

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo desarrollar un sistema de información para administrar y automatizar el seguimiento de proyectos de investigación en el Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Comalcalco (ITSC). Se aplicó una metodología de tipo mixta, que se caracteriza por su enfoque interdisciplinario. Los datos se obtuvieron mediante la realización de una entrevista virtual a cada uno de los involucrados en el proceso de investigación del ITSC. La muestra total fue de 30 investigadores. La aportación de este proyecto es la automatización del proceso de registros y seguimiento de los proyectos de investigación de los profesores investigadores del ITSC. Para el desarrollo del software se atendieron las necesidades básicas de gestión de proyectos (generación de reportes por periodos, registro y exportación en formato CSV o PDF e incluso mandar a imprimir, así como el protocolo de los proyectos de investigación en ejecución y el desarrollo de la hoja de vida, gracias a lo cual se podrá medir el desempeño de los investigadores). Se trata de una herramienta importante que contribuye a reducir el tiempo de búsqueda de documentación, el consumo de papeles, facilitar el seguimiento, búsqueda y almacenamiento de los proyectos, así como conocer en tiempo real el estatus de los proyectos de investigación que están desarrollando los profesores.

A study was carried out with the objective of determining the presence of Bacillus cereus in eggshells commercialized in Mexico, the enterotoxigenic profile of the isolated strains, and the production of biofilms in different materials as well as in the eggshell. 1000 chicken eggs from four commercial brands were collected from markets and supermarkets located in the city of Chilpancingo, Mexico. Bacillus cereus was isolated from the eggshell. The molecular identification was by amplification of the gyrB gene and the enterotoxigenic profiles by the amplification of the cytK, ces, nheABC, and hblABD genes, in addition to the amplification of the tasA and sipW genes associated with the production of biofilms. In different materials and in eggshells, the production of biofilms was evaluated. The microbiological and molecular analysis of B. cereus yielded a frequency of 5.5% (55/1000), this was higher in brand III (11.6%, p=0.0001) and white eggshell (7.6%, 38/500, p≤0.001) and by marketing source, it was similar between market (5.2% / 26/500) and supermarket (5.8%, 29/500). Bacillus cereus is a microorganism associated with food poisoning. It has been found in products, such as milk and dairy products. The aim of this study was to isolate and identify B. cereus group strains in artisan cheeses sold in southwestern Mexico, as well as its toxigenic profile, its psychrophilic ability, and its biofilm production. B. cereus isolation was performed on Mannitol Yolk Polymyxin (MYP) agar and this was molecularly confirmed by the amplification of the gyrB gene. Polymerase chain reaction was used to determine the toxigenic profile, amplifying conserved regions of hblABD and nheABC operons, which code for the subunits of Hbl and Nhe toxins, respectively, as well as ges and cytK genes, which code for toxin cereulide and cytotoxin K (Cytk). Frequency of B. cereus contamination in artisan cheeses was 29.48% (23/78), and the bacterium was isolated in similar quantities in all types of products. All strains were amylase positive, and 60.86% (14/23) were able to produce biofilm; 91.30% (21/23) of the strains were psychrophilic. In most of the strains, at least one gene related to enterotoxins was identified (21/23). B. cereus strains in this study have a high toxigenic potential, which increases the risk of food poisoning due to the consumption of artisan cheeses made in Mexico.

En años recientes, el manchado de la jamaica inducido por Corynespora cassiicola amenaza la producción de cálices. El objetivo fue determinar si algunas cepas bacterianas inhiben el desarrollo de C. cassiicola in vitro y bajo condiciones de bioespacio. La inhibición del desarrollo fue por confrontación dual de las bacterias: alimentos (20), piel de anfibios (41), jales mineros (22), aire (siete) y rizosfera (10) contra el hongo. Se sembraron plantas de jamaica variedad “criolla” y se inocularon artificialmente con C. cassiicola, a partir del inicio de síntomas de la enfermedad se inocularon las cepas bacterianas seleccionadas con mayor porcentaje de inhibición. Se evaluó la ABCPE. Solo siete cepas inhibieron del 62.7 al 100% el desarrollo del hongo in vitro: Klebsiella pneumoniae (M10-1 y M10-10), Acinetobacter lwoffii (A5), Sphingomonas paucimobilis (NF21), Serratia marcescens (M13ACD), S. liquefaciens (M8ACD) y Acinetobacter sp. (5H2). En relación a la severidad en hojas las cepas M10-1 y M10-10 redujeron el ABCPE en un 9.5 y 12.6%, respectivamente, seguido de NF21 (14.5 de ABCPE), el control registró los mayores niveles (45.7 de ABCPE). Para la severidad en cálices, los análisis del ABCPE de todas las cepas ejercieron control al reducir niveles de severidad (17.1-8.6 ABCPE).

Staphylococcus aureus is a commensal bacterium in humans and animals able to adapt to multiple environments. The aim of this study was to compare the genetic diversity and virulence profiles of strains of S. aureus isolated from food (29 strains), humans (43 strains), and animals (8 strains). 80 lipase-producing strains belonging to a biobank of 360 isolates, identified phenotypically as S. aureus, were selected. Confirmation of the species was made by amplifying the spA gene and 80% (64/80) of the strains were confirmed within this species. The virulence profile of each of the isolates was determined by PCR. The seA gene coding for enterotoxin A was found in 53.1% of the strains, the saK gene, which codes for Staphylokinase, was amplified in 57.8% of the strains, and, finally, the hlB gene coding for β-Hemolysin was amplified in 17.2%. The profile of antimicrobial resistance was determined by the Kirby Bauer method showing that the strains from food presented greater resistance to erythromycin (40.7%) and ciprofloxacin (18.5%) while in strains isolated from humans were to erythromycin (48.4%) and clindamycin (21.2%). Also, in strains from animals, a high resistance to erythromycin was observed (75%). The frequency of MRSA was 12.5% due to the presence of the mec gene and resistance to cefoxitin. Of the total strains, 68.7% were typed by PCR-RFLP of the coa gene using the AluI enzyme; derived from this restriction, 17 profiles were generated. Profile 4 (490 bp, 300 bp) was the most frequent, containing a higher number of strains with a higher number of virulence factors and antimicrobial resistance, which is associated with greater adaptation to different environments. In this study, a wide genetic diversity of strains of S. aureus from different foods, humans, and animals was found. This demonstrates evolution, genetic versatility, and, therefore, the adaptation of this microorganism in different environments.

En el Perú se genera 18 mil toneladas diaria que representan el 3.2% de generación de residuos en Latinoamérica; de esas 18 mil toneladas, el 53% corresponde a materia orgánica, la cual menos del 1.0% es recuperada por diversos métodos de tratamiento; lo restante es dispuesto en rellenos sanitarios o es llevado a vertederos informales que no cumplen con los estándares sanitarios y ambientales; produciendo gases de efecto invernadero que representan una amenaza global debido a los efectos del cambio climático y sus consecuencias. En respuesta a esta situación, la economía circular se presenta como una solución de gran impacto, la cual busca la extensión del ciclo de vida de los productos producidos por el hombre, retornándolos al sistema para ser reusados. Un modelo de economía circular es la gestión sostenible de los residuos orgánicos, es aquí donde se plantea el proyecto de empresa- Green Compost, el cual está alineado con los Objetivos De Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS): Industria, innovación e infraestructura; Ciudades y sociedades sostenibles; Producción y consumo responsable y; Acción por el clima. El Proyecto de empresa Green Compost está basado en el tratamiento de residuos orgánicos de Lima, este emprendimiento sostenible y de gran impacto social requerirá una inversión inicial de 495 mil soles, en donde el 75% representa la compostadora de alta tecnología que será un equipo único en el Perú lo que permitirá la optimización del proceso de compostaje con un potencial de reducción en un 83 % del tiempo de tratamiento en comparación con el compostaje natural convencional. Los residuos orgánicos que ingresarán a la compostera serán proporcionados por las municipalidades de Lima Moderna, las cuales ya cuentan con programas de segregación y reciclaje de residuos. La proyección de ventas en el primer año es de S/ 431,244 y en el segundo año de S/646,866; se estima un periodo de recuperación de la inversión de 3.56 años y un Valor Actual Neto (VAN) del proyecto de S/936,107.10 a esto se le suma las seis mil toneladas de dióxido de carbono (CO2) equivalente, que se dejaría de emitir mitigando el cambio climático y aumentando la cultura de reciclaje en Lima. Millions of tons of different solid waste are generated in the world, 3.2% of Latin America is produced in Peru, likewise, of that 3.2%, 53% is from organic waste, and less than 1.0% of that organic waste is recovered and eliminated by various methods, however the rest is taken to landfills that are well known to not follow sanitary-environmental standards and this causes the production of greenhouse gases, which constitute a global threat due to changes that are causing in the environment and the health of people. In response to this situation, the circular economy is presented as a high impact solution, since it seeks the extension of the life cycle of the products created or returning them to the system to be reused. A circular economy model is the sustainable management of organic waste, in such framework the circular economy project - Green Compost is geared, which is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals; Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Sustainable cities and societies; Responsible production and consumption and; Climate action. The organic waste that enters the compost machine will be provided by the municipalities of Lima Moderna, which already have waste segregation and recycling programs. Green Compost proposes a green and agile business model based on the reuse of organic waste of Lima, this sustainable venture with great social impact will require an initial investment of S / 495,000 where 75% represents the high-tech composter that will be a unique team in Peru and that will allow the optimization of the composting process with a 83% reduction in time compared to conventional natural composting, with a projection of sales in the first year of S / 431,244 and in the second year of S / 646,866 , it is estimated a recovery period of 3.56 years and a NPV of S / 936,107.10; added to the six thousand tons. Esta investigación consiste en el análisis de dos empresas con respecto a la manera de contabilizar los puros dañados, la cual se realiza tomando como base los conocimientos sobre contabilidad de costos. Inicialmente se llevó a cabo la identificación de aspectos teóricos a fin de comparar estos conocimientos con las operaciones realizadas por las empresas y lograr una correcta determinación de los costos y por ende una adecuada contabilización, para proporcionar información de calidad y oportuna a la gerencia. La muestra está considerada por el personal involucrado en el departamento de producción, el área administrativa y contable, las técnicas de recolección utilizadas permitieron examinar a detalle cada una de las áreas propuestas a inspeccionar, las técnicas llevada a cabo fueron la guía de observación y entrevistas. Finalmente se concluyó con los resultados donde se encontró que las empresas Royal Estate y Dios Proveerá tienen un porcentaje establecido para unidades dañadas en el departamento de producción, sin embargo, ellos no verifican si realmente fue este el que se dañó, ni llevan una contabilización de las mismas. En Dios Proveerá internamente se lleva un control de las unidades dañadas, pero del mismo modo no se lleva una adecuada determinación de estas mismas.

Milk and dairy foods have frequently been implicated in staphylococcal food poisoning, and contaminated raw milk is often involved. The aim of the study was to determine the occurrence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in raw cow milk cheese produced in Mexico. A total of 78 unpasteurized cow milk cheese samples were screened for S. aureus. The isolates were identified as S. aureus based on morphology, Gram stain, catalase test, coagulase test, and mannitol salt agar fermentation. Isolates were subjected to biotyping, the methicillin resistance was analyzed using the disk diffusion, and the Staphylococcus enterotoxin A (SEA) production was examined by a dot-blot analysis. From a total of 78 samples of unpasteurized cheeses analyzed in this study, 44 cheeses were positive for S. aureus; however, a differential contamination between the different types of cheeses was observed, with high risk of contamination in adobero cheese (12, 95% CI 1.75 to 94.20; p=0.002). In this study, the frequency of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) was 18.1% (8/44) and of enterotoxin A producers was 18.1% (8/44). When classified by biotypes, MRSA only belongs to the human ecovar biotype (2/8, 25%) and the D biotype (4/8, 50%). S. aureus producers of enterotoxin A were distributed in specific nonhost biotypes.
