Purpose of the study. Improving the results of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy by reducing the frequency and severity of postoperative infectious and inflammatory complications. Material and methods. We have analyzed the results of treatment of 330 patients with urolithiasis who applied to the RSSPM Center of Urology in the period from January 2019 to July 2022 with the stone/s of the upper urinary tract (URT). The first control group consisted of 200 patients subjected to ESWL with the study of the frequency, severity and causes of acute complicated pyelonephritis. The size of the stones was 9.0 ± 0.2 (4-16 mm), in 71 (35.5%) stones were located in the pelvicalyceal system (PCS), in 129 (64.5%) in the ureter. 146 (73%) had urinary tract infection. Results. Among the 1st group of patients, the "stone free rate" was 186 (93.0%), in the post-procedural period, acute complicated pyelonephritis was observed in 2 (1.0%), urosepsis in 1 (0.5%). Among the patients of group II, the «stone free rate» was 115 (88.5%) after the first ESWL session; no infectious and inflammatory complications were observed in the post-procedure period. Conclusions. The basis for the prevention of infectious and inflammatory complications of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is the constant monitoring of complications and the study of risk factors for their occurrence. Cancellation of prophylactic antibiotic administration 1 hour before ESWL in patients without urinary tract infection and by exclusion of other risk factors for infectious complications does not lead to the development of post-procedure pyelonephritis and thereby reduces the overall costs associated with the treatment of the patient. &nbsp

A hypothesis about the mechanism of reducing shrinkage deformations under the influence of organic additives is presented. It may become the basis for the search for new additives that reduce the cement stone shrinkage by preventing the convergence of parallel surfaces of new formations due to electrosurface interactions with the functional group of the additive. The results of the study of the shrinkage of foam concrete with the addition of citric and sulfanilic acids are presented. It was found that they reduce shrinkage deformations by up to 76% with follow-up periods of up to 60 days. The proposed scheme of the action of additives on shrinkage allows us to conduct a directed search for surfactants that reduce the shrinkage deformations of foam cement stone

The work is devoted to the study of the relationship between the individual clinker minerals content, the stone compressive strength in different periods of hardening and the binders kinetic hardening constants. It is shown that C3S and C2S affect the cements’ kinetic hardening constants in the early and long-term periods in different ways. There is a positive effect of C2S on the ultimate compressive strength and a sharp decrease in the dependence of the stone ultimate strength on C3S in the later periods. The initial hardening rate in high-cement cement is established to increase sharply with an increase in the C3A content from 5 to 12%. The increase in the C3A content up to 12% in low-cement cement has little effect on the initial hardening rate value.

The study showed that in order to accelerate the hydration of inorganic binders it is necessary to use additives of such electrolytes that increase the concentration of calcium ions in the liquid phase of the cement suspension. Electrolytes (soda ash, sodium and potassium hydroxides), precipitating calcium ions in the liquid phase, promote their exit from the "shut-off" layer of hydration products. In this paper, we studied the additives – electrolytes – as regulators of the setting time of fine-grained and porous concrete. To increase the activity of the additive as a concrete mixtures setting time regulator, acidic varieties were used instead of main salts. The studied additives – electrolytes – draw practical interest, as their usage in production of foam concrete and fine-grained concrete lets accelerate hardening of products and speed up reuse of mould.

Relevance: The term "Obstructive uropathology" includes a complex of morphofunctional pathologies of the upper urinary tract, which are the result of urination destruction. Fetuses with uropathology have a negative prognosis for quality of life. Purpose of the study: monitoring the result of minimally invasive intrauterine nephroamniotic stenting of the left kidney in a fetus with unilateral hydronephrosis. Material and methods: examination and ultrasound support of stenting in a fetus with unilateral hydronephrosis of the left kidney on the SonoScape 60 ultrasound diagnostic scanner, in a patient who underwent inpatient treatment at the RSSPMC O and G, due to the identified unilateral hydronephrosis of the left kidney of the 3rd degree. A "renal stent" was used for intrauterine unilateral stenting. The result of the study and their discussion: patient A., 30 years old, at 28 weeks of gestation. After a clinical and laboratory examination and a consultation of doctors, it was decided to perform nephro-amniotic stenting on the left, due to the expansion of the pelvis of the left kidney up to 26 mm at the 28th week of pregnancy. In the postoperative period, ultrasound control was carried out: hydronephrosis on the left was stopped, with kidney Doppler - the blood flow of the kidney vessels is present. Spontaneous expulsion of the stent was not detected. In the future, dynamic monitoring of intrauterine growth of the fetus with the state of the urinary system continues until the term of full-term pregnancy. Thus, the method of nephro-amniotic stenting provided adequate urodynamics of the left kidney. Complications during stenting of the fetal kidney were not observed. Conclusion: early prenatal diagnosis and timely initiated intrauterine surgical treatment make it possible to decompress the fetal kidney and preserve the function of the fetal kidney, prevent the development of complications and adverse outcomes of diseases of the urinary system in newborns.

One of the most important elements of the primary protection of concrete structures against chemical aggression is the correct choice of the type of cement. Specialists have done a lot of work to clarify the comparative stability of various types of cement systems in aggressive media containing various aggressive components [1-3]. Resistant cements for certain types of corrosion are known, but there is no complete concept of their choice. This causes difficulties in choosing the type of cement for specific types of corrosion in organic media, for complex types of corrosion, when the application of empirical approaches is unsuitable. This work is devoted to this issue.

Using the coefficients of the hardening intensity, as well as on the basis of calculations using the transport theory equations containing the initial hardening rate and the deceleration coefficient, the analysis of the regulatory and technical requirements established in various countries of the world for the rate of strength gain of cement stone is carried out. It is shown that the kinetic constants of cement hardening in the United States and China mostly correspond to modern ideas about the kinetics of hardening of Portland cement stone. On this basis, the analysis of the hardening kinetics of cements from different countries was carried out. Regulatory and technical requirements for the strength of cements of certain brands in Japan and India require adjustments. The regularities revealed in the analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of cements at different curing times are considered. It is shown that at the age of 28 days, samples of cement stone have more reproducible physical and mechanical parameters than at the age of 1, 3, 7 days. The shorter the hardening time of the samples, the lower their mechanical strength, the greater the coefficient of variation during their testing. It is established that the kinetics of cement hardening in different countries with a correlation coefficient of 0.9 and higher is described by an equation with intensive braking based on the transport theory.

It is proposed to distinguish the false setting from the abnormal one, considering the false as a variety of the latter. With false setting, the start of setting occurs in a short time, but then it spontaneously disappears, reappearing after a while. Such cements, in which the beginning of setting occurs faster than 50 minutes, and the end – after 5-12 hours, are proposed to be called abnormal cements. It is shown that when the start time of setting is more than 50 ∼ 60 minutes, the probability of abnormal setting decreases sharply. The kinetics of structure formation of cements with different setting patterns is considered. Methods for the identification of abnormal setting by the setting interval (τfinal – τstart)/τstart > 3, the kinetics of structure formation, heat release, and changes in the activity of calcium ions in the liquid phase of cement paste of normal density are proposed. It is shown that the measurement of the kinetics of heat release and the activity of Ca 2+ ions in the liquid phase of cement paste is of great interest for the development of automated and rapid control of the presence of anomalies during setting. It is established that the mixture of the inhibitor and the booster of the setting acts according to the rule of additivity, the use of mineral additives of acidic composition weakens the abnormal properties of cement systems. To combat the belated anomaly, it is necessary to monitor the properties of the cement 1-2 days before its application.

Soil organisms in terrestrial systems are unevenly distributed in time and space, and often aggregated. Spatio-temporal patchiness in the soil environment is thought to be crucial for the maintenance of soil biodiversity, providing diverse microhabitats tightly interweaving with resource partitioning. Determination of a “scale unit” to help understand ecological processes has become one of the important and most debatable problems in recent years. A fieldwork was carried out in the northern Negev Desert highland, Israel to determine the influence of fine-scale landscape patch moisture heterogeneity on biogeochemical variables and microbial activity linkage in a desert ecosystem. The results showed that the spatio-temporal patchiness of soil moisture to which we attribute influential properties, was found to become more heterogenic with the decrease in soil moisture availability (from 8.2 to 0.4 g kg−1) toward the hot, dry seasons, with coefficient of variation (CV) change amounting to 66.9%. Spatio-temporal distribution of organic matter (OM) and total soluble nitrogen (TSN) was found to be relatively uniformly distributed throughout the wet seasons (winter and spring), with increase of relatively high heterogeneity toward the dry seasons (from 0.25% to 2.17% for OM, and from 0 to 10.2 mg kg−1 for TSN) with CV of 47.4% and 99.7% for OM and TSN, respectively. Different spatio-temporal landscape patterns were obtained for Ca (CV = 44.6%), K (CV = 34.4%), and Na (CV = 92%) ions throughout the study period. CO2 evolution (CV = 48.6%) was found to be of lower heterogeneity (varying between 2 and 39 g CO2-C g−1 dry soil h−1) in the moist seasons, e.g., winter and spring, with lower values of respiration coupled with high heterogeneity of Na+ and low levels of TSN and organic matter content, and with more homogeneity in the dry seasons (varying between 1 and 50 g CO2-C g−1 dry soil h−1). Our results elucidate the heterogeneity and complexity of desert system habitats affecting soil biota activity.

Soil nematode activity in arid ecosystems is determined by well-known limiting factors such as soil moisture and organic matter. The main aim of our investigation was to determine the composition and distribution of the nematode community in response to soil water and organic content in the rhizosphere of the perennial plant Zygophyllum dumosum. The results demonstrated that soil moisture, organic matter, total nematode population and trophic groups differed under the plants and in the control samples. Significant differences in soil moisture, total nematode population and trophic groups were observed. Bacterial-feeders were found to be the dominant nematode trophic group at the research sites. Bacterial- and fungi-feeders were present in the upper 0–10 cm layer during most of the year. A negative correlation was found between nematodes and soil moisture and a positive correlation was found between nematodes and organic matter. Moreover, trophic structure changes and quantity changes in the nematode community were observed within 1 month after quantitative changes occurred in the organic matter. Generally accepted nematode fauna indices such as Wasilewska index (WI), F/B, T, H′, λ, species richness (SR), PPI, maturity index (MI), and modified maturity index (MMI), reflect the temporal changes that occurred in the nematode community during the research period. This study illustrates the integrated effect of soil moisture and organic matter on the activity and structure of the nematode communities existing under plants.

This experiment was performed to optimize the medium for tissue culture of Taraxacum kok-saghyz Rodin. Different tissue culture approaches such as shoot regeneration from seed, callus formation from leaf explants and plant regeneration from callus were investigated in this study. All the explants were cultured on MS basal medium supplemented with 20g/l sucrose, 7g/l agar and different plant growth regulators. Seeds of Taraxacum kok-saghyzwere cultured on media containing different levels of BA and 2,4-D (0.5, 1.0 and 3.0mg/L) to direct shoot regeneration study. Leaf explants were cultured in different combination of BA (at three levels: 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0mg/L) and zeatin (at two levels: 0.5 and 1.0mg/L) to examine callus formation. After the callus formation the formed calli were cultured on different combinations of BA and NAA for shoot regeneration. BA at three levels (0.5 and 1.0 and 3.0mg/L) and NAA at two levels (0.5 and 1.0mg/L) in all possible combinations were used for shoot regeneration from callus. The results showed that the treatment containing 1.0mg/L 2,4-D in combination with 1.0mg/L BA was found to be the best one for shoot regeneration from seeds. The treatment with 1.0mg/L BA in combination with 1.0mg/L zeatin were found to be suitable treatments for callus production from leaf explants, as well. Moreover, 0.5mg/L BA alone or in combination with 1.0mg/L NAA were found to be the best treatments for shoot regeneration from callus., {"references":["A. O. A protocol was developed for micropropagation of rose cv. ‘Pareo’. Nodal segments were surface sterilized with 0.1% solution of mercuric chloride for 10 min and these disinfected explants were inoculated aseptically on culture medium. The, axillary shoots were regenerated from nodal explants on agar-gelled Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 1.5 mg/l BAP. In vitro rooting was obtained when shoot clusters were cultured on half strength Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 1.0 mg/l IBA. The rooted plantlets were acclimatized successfully in the field.Key words: Micropropagation, nodal segments, rose.

Seasonal and spatial variation in soil nematode communities was investigated in a field study conducted on a loessial plain in the northern Negev Desert, Israel. Soil samples from 0- to 50-cm depths were collected seasonally during 2001 under the canopy of Atriplex halimus and Hammada scoparia, and between shrubs (control). Total population abundance ranged from 8 to 887 individuals per 100 g soil, represented by 32 genera from 16 families. Significant temporal and vegetation effects were elucidated using most ecological indices applicable to express nematode community composition. Of those indices computed, only the Shannon index, the modified maturity index, and genus dominance distinguished differences in vertical distribution.

This investigation was devoted to experimental determination and analysis of curves describing the diffusive distribution of cadmium in silicon at different levels of prealloying of the silicon with phosphorus and different temperatures of isothermal diffusion, with allowance for the characteristic exponential relation between the pre-exponent D0 and the activation energy Q. Numerical values of Dk and Q0 were found. They are equal to 4·10−8 cm2 · sec−1 and 0.22 eV, respectively.

Various experimental characteristics of multiple production in deuteron-nucleus and alpha particle-nucleus interactions in an emulsion at ∼3.6 GeV/n have been studied in dependence on the atomic number of a target and the number of interacting projectile nucleons. The data obtained do not demonstrate the noticeable collective phenomena and give the strong support to the idea that at energies of about a few GeV per nucleon the cascade mechanism is responsible for global features of heavy ion interactions.

New experimental data on proton-nucleus interactions in emulsion at primary momentum 4.5 GeV/c are presented and discussed. The data are systematically compared with predictions of the cascade-evaporation model. The directions of development of the cascade-evaporation model in a region of incident momenta are considered, and some suggestions are made for giving it more precision.

The paper presents data pointing to an 1.5-fold economic gain in the use of rehabilitative treatment for cervical cancer.
