As similar to metabolic pathways or metabolism of drug is inhibited competitively or by other pathways, the inhibition can be happening at the drug transport level which is also critical alongside other disposition pathways. Advances in the understanding of drug metabolic pathways and drug transport process help in the estimation of degree of invivo interaction in vitro through certain parameters like the [I]/Ki ratio. Such equations employ a blend of in vivo and in vitro derived parameters to estimate the fold change in the AUC ratio in the presence and absence of inhibitor. In the current investigation, the change in the AUC was predicted when two most commonly used drugs (Rosuvastatin and Glimepiride) were used to manage anti hyperlipidemia and diabetes. Current investigation employed the hepatic inlet concentration (determined majorly by the presence of OATP drug transporters) of Rosuvastatin which is the major rate limiting step in determining the active concentration reaching the site to elicit its therapeutic response. Alternately Glimepiride disposition is also effected by OATP transporters although at a higher affinity as shown in certain studies reported in the literature. The results indicate a change in the rosuvastatin AUC upon long term usage of Glimepiride. However, such study need to be validated in the clinical scenario as elevated concentrations in the clinic for Rosuvastatin would precipitate the devastating Rhabdomylosis in patients who are on co-medication with the drugs under current investigation. Background & Objective:: In past few years, Cognitive Radio (CR) paradigm has emerged as a promising and revolutionary solution to avoid problems of spectrum paucity and inefficiency in spectrum usage. Efficiently utilization of the spectrum offers high network performance. CRs are proficient to identify and adopt the unused spectrum in order to allow secondary users to occupy it without interfering the primary user’s activity. Cognitive Internet on Things (CIoT) is an integration of several technologies and communication solutions which can be effectively realized as Cognitive Radio Adhoc Networks (CRAHN). In CRANH, on-demand routing protocols are the best suitable protocols due to their dynamic feature of available un-utilized channel/spectrum selection. Methods: Here, firstly, Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol has been modified and further evaluated to address route selection challenges in CIoT framework. Secondly, the effects on network performance under network layer routing attacks (i.e. blackhole attack, byzantine attack and flooding attacks) are evaluated. Conclusion: The simulations results demonstrate network performance increase with more channels and degrade differently under attacks.

In the present study, we evaluated the antiobesity and hypolipidemic activities of ethanolic, ethyl acetate and hexane extracts of Tecoma gaudichaudi flowers in rat models.Anti-obesity activity of ethanolic, ethyl acetate and hexane extracts (200 & 400 mg/kg)of Tecoma gaudichaudi flowers were evaluated in rats fed with monosodium glutamate (8 mg/gm) diet. Experimental parameters like body weight, food consumption, locomotor behavior, serum glucose, triglyceride, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL) and very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) were studied for evaluating the anti-obesity activity of ethanolic extract (EE), ethyl acetate extract (EAE) and hexane extracts (HE) of Tecoma gaudichaudi flowers and orlistat (5mg/kg). There was a significant decrease of total cholesterol, total triglycerides and LDL-C and a significant increase of HDL-C level in hyperlipidemic rats after four-week administration of different extracts of Tecoma gaudichaudi flowers. Treatment with ethanolic extract (EE), ethyl acetate extract (EAE) and hexane extracts (HE) of Tecoma gaudichaudi exhibited antihyperlipidemic properties which might lead to improvement of serum lipid profile.

An accurate and precise liquid chromatographic method was developed for the simultaneous estimation of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and fexofenadine hydrochloride in tablets. The chromatographic analysis was performed on XTerra symmetry C8 column (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 µ particle size) with mobile phase consisting of methanol and sodium di-hydrogen ortho phosphate buffer (pH 2.8) in the ratio of 60:40 v/v, at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and eluents monitored at 219 nm. The calibration curves of peak area versus concentration, which was linear from 20-100 µg/mL for pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 10-50 µg/mL for fexofenadine hydrochloride, had regression coefficient (r2) greater than 0.999. The method had the requisite accuracy, precision, and robustness for simultaneous determination of paracetamol and meloxicam in tablets. The proposed method is simple, economical, accurate, and precise and could be successfully employed in routine quality control for the simultaneous analysis of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and fexofenadine hydrochloride in tablets.
