The simple precipitation method used to synthesize nanostructured Co2O3 has produced highly crystalline hexagonal-shaped nanoparticles with promising characteristics for microwave and bio-medical applications. Different analytical techniques have been used to investigate these Co2O3 nanoparticles. The formation of a well-defined crystalline structure was observed and confirmed to be hexagonal by X-ray diffraction. The spherical morphology image was confirmed by FE-SEM. The Co2O3 nanoparticles exhibit ferromagnetic ordering at low magnetic field strengths. The nanoparticles that have been prepared can be utilized in magnetic data storage applications. The DFT/B3LYP/LANL2DZ level of theory was employed to determine the theoretical parameters for the metal oxide composite, and enhanced bond parameters were calculated using the same basis set. The compound’s nonlinear optical (NLO) properties have been evaluated through the calculation of first-order hyperpolarizability, and Homo–Lumo analysis has revealed charge transfer processes within the molecule. Nanostructured Co2O3 spinel is synthesized via simple co-precipitation method. The Co2O3 materials are analytically investigated with different techniques. However, the spinel type of Co2O3 nanoparticles showed attractive features for microwave and biomedical applications. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis indicates the growth of good crystalline Co2O3 nanoparticles with a cubic type. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM) images of Co2O3 nanoparticles reveal spherical particles. In general, the magnetization of spinel Co2O3 nanoparticles demonstrates ferromagnetic order at low strength of the magnetic field. In this manuscript, we present the synthesis of gadolinium orthoferrite nanoparticles using the sol-gel auto-combustion technique. The obtained gadolinium orthoferrite nanoparticles were annealed at various temperatures, such as 800 °C, 900 °C, 1000 °C, and 1100 °C. The synthesized materials were analyzed by various instrumental characterizations. The vibrational characteristics of the synthesized samples were verified by FTIR. The surface morphology of the gadolinium orthoferrite nanoparticles was analyzed by FE-SEM and HR-TEM, revealing their spherical structural morphology and uniform particle structure. The presence of the elemental features was analyzed in the gadolinium orthoferrite nanoparticles by EDAX. The surface analysis of the core ranges of the XPS-recorded spectra were obtained for the elemental states of the Gd, Fe, and O factors in the samples, and it additionally characterized the different levels of oxidative states by fitting the levels of the high-resolution parameters of Gd 4d, Fe 2p, and O 1s. The magnetic properties of the samples were investigated by VSM. The measurement of the magnetic parameters revealed that gadolinium orthoferrite nanoparticles exhibit a ferromagnetic nature.

The chitin was extracted from C. inscriptus and the structure was elucidated. The yield of the C. inscriptus shell chitin was 21.65% on dry weight basis. The ash and moisture content of the chitin was 1.2 and 6.50%. The result of the molecular analysis of the chitin revealed low molecular weight (25 kDa). The crystalline structure (XRD), functional group (FT-IR), elemental analysis (EDAX), surface morphology (SEM) and thermal stability (TG/DTA) results confirmed conus chitin was in α-crystalline form. The crystalline index value (CrI) of the conus chitin was 82.13%. The FT-IR analysis of the conus chitin displayed two bands at around 1730 and 1628 cm -1 . SEM investigation of the commercial chitin and C. inscriptus chitin exposed that it was composed of nanopore and nanofibre structures. Further, the thermal stability of the conus chitin was close to the thermal stability of the commercial chitin.
