Abstract

The use of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in the nanotechnology sector is rapidly increasing due to their distinct characteristics and vast application potential. Large-scale preparation of these nanostructures is either prohibitive or, in some cases, environmentally unfavorable. Numerous studies have been conducted in this field to develop novel approaches for producing CNTs that are savious and cost-effective. This review briefly describes the synthesis, characterization methods, and uses of CNTs from scrap materials. The utilization of waste materials not only addresses environmental concerns but also contributes to the circular economy by repurposing otherwise discarded resources. Abstract

Inventory optimization focuses on stabilizing the stockpile management in the company with the expenditure involved in a successful volatile system. The major challenge is to meet the customer's demand in a well-organized way for profitable management. The nonlinear programming problem (NLP) from fixed order inventory systems, was solved by using the geometric programming method with fuzzification executed by decagonal fuzzy numbers and graded-mean representation as a defuzzification method. Abstract

The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) is one of the most extensively and widely used palm trees. The coconut palm is regarded as the "tree of life," or "Kalpavriksha." Humans have been cultivating a wide range of coconut trees around the world. This study is based on analysis of secondary data on cultivation of coconut trees and its benefits. Due to increased insect infestations and a changing habitat, the lifespan of coconut trees have been affected. Coconut product market has become the fastest expanding business due to the anti-viral compounds found in it. The coconut is used to produce oils, even the shells used for craft materials. People have been using coconut trees to make brooms and woods are being used to make furniture, construction materials for dwellings, and hardwood floors. It shows the livelihood of people around the world have been changed due to the cultivation of coconut trees. Indonesia, India and Philippines are top three countries to be economically benefitted from the plantation of coconut trees. As there is high demand of coconut based products worldwide, farmers need to be made aware about this economic value for increment in production.

Businesses use inventory modelling to estimate the ideal level of inventories to be kept in a production process. This procedure entails controlling the quantity of goods or raw materials to be stoi-ed. the frequency of orders, and the supply flow. The primary task would be to reduce the overall cost incurred during the production process. Abstract

The present study investigates the hydrogeochemical characteristics of groundwater quality in Agastheeswaram taluk of Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu, India. A total of 69 groundwater samples were collected during pre- and post-monsoon periods of 2011–2012. The groundwater quality assessment has been carried out by evaluating the physicochemical parameters such as pH, EC, TDS, HCO3 −, Cl−, SO4 2−, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+ and K+ for both the seasons. Based on these parameters, groundwater has been assessed in favor of its suitability for drinking and irrigation purpose. Dominant cations for both the seasons are in the order of Na+ > Ca2+ > Mg2+ > K+ while the dominant anions for post monsoon and pre monsoon have the trends of Cl− > HCO3 − > SO4 2− and HCO3 − > Cl− > SO4 2−, respectively. Analytical results observed from various indices reveal that the groundwater quality is fairly good in some places. Analytical results of few samples show that they are severely polluted and incidentally found to be near the coasts, estuaries and salt pans in the study area. The Gibbs plot indicates that the majority of groundwater samples fall in rock dominant region, which indicates rock water interaction in the study area. The United States salinity (USSL) diagram shows that the groundwater is free from sodium hazards but the salinity hazard varies from low to very high throughout the study area. This reveals that the groundwater is moderately suitable for agricultural activities. The observed chemical variations in pre-monsoon and post-monsoon seasons may be the effect to rock-water interactions, ion-exchange reactions, and runoff of fertilizers from the surrounding agricultural lands.
