Abstract

The article discusses the study on the interventions in modifying the mechanical stress in heterozygous Lmna knockout mice. Echocardiography was done after performing a detailed characterization of cardiac functions and structures of the mice. Findings suggest that factors other than mechanical stress-induced apoptosis contributed to dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in lamin A/C-deficient hearts.
