In this research, a multiple-band-gap photocatalyst based on TiO2, Bi2MoO6, and MnSe2 was synthesized to extend the spectral response range of TiO2-anatase as a wide-band-gap semiconductor for the dye degradation under visible irradiation. Its structure was confirmed by various identification methods including XRD, FT-IR, EIS, PL, SEM, TEM, and EDX. The photocatalytic properties of the composites were also confirmed by the DRS, PL, and COD investigations. Nyquist and Tauc plots showed superconductivity, and a long life time of excited electron. Also, flat band energy and donor density of nanocomposite were evaluated from Mott-Schottky plot which confirmed its photoactivity. The photocurrent jumps immediately when light was turned on which indicating a good photoelectric response. After four times recovery, the recovered catalyst can still decompose Rh.B with 92% efficiency. The effects of different factors such as the initial pH, amount of the photocatalyst loading, the initial concentration of the dye, and irradiation time, besides the photocatalyst composition, were also studied. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of 1 per cent and 0.01 per cent peracetic acid as an antifungal agent in animal otomycosis. Method: After creating a superficial scratch in the external auditory canal of guinea pigs, a suspension of Aspergillus niger , Aspergillus fumigatus and candida were inoculated into the ears of the animals. After otomycosis, the effect of 1 per cent or 0.01 per cent peracetic acid on otomycosis was evaluated by otomicroscopy and culture at 10 days post-treatment and compared with 2 per cent acetic acid as the control. Results: A 10-day treatment with 1 per cent peracetic acid and 2 per cent acetic acid (control) showed normal otomicroscopy and negative cultures compared with 0.01 per cent peracetic acid. Drug sedimentation or other side effects in the external auditory canal or tympanic membrane were not observed during treatment with peracetic acid. Conclusion: The findings of this study confirm that the treatment of otomycosis with 1 per cent peracetic acid in an animal model is beneficial and may be a novel therapeutic treatment for otomycosis. Background: Pigmented villonodular synovitis is a tumor that arises from the synovial membrane of the joint or tendon sheaths. Two main forms include a diffuse form that involves the whole synovial lining of a joint, bursa, or tendon sheath, and a less common localized form. The diffuse form typically involves the large joints, while the localized one typically occurs around the small joints of the hands and feet. Usually involving the knee joint, the occurrence of pigmented villonodular synovitis in the foot, especially in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the great toe, is very rare, and is therefore often mistaken for other foot pathologies. Although it seems histopathologically benign, it has a known tendency to recur after surgery.Case report: Here, we report a 42 year old woman who had experienced pain in the right great toe for 1.5 years. She was treated conservatively with shoe modification and NonSteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs, and two injections of Corticosteroid.Results: The failure of long-term conservative therapy and the bony erosion revealed in her radiograph led us to surgically excise the lesion of the first metatarsophalangeal joint. Histopathological examination revealed the diagnosis of pigmented villonodular synovitis. For the 18 months following surgery, she had no complaint except minimal pain in her toe after activity. No sign of recurrence was observed either clinically or radiologically.Conclusion: We conclude that pigmented villonodular synovitis should be noted in the differential diagnosis of chronic monoarticular synovitis in order to provide an earlier diagnosis and more effective treatment.

Introduction: Population of the elderly is on the rise in Iran. Health care staff have an important role in educating the community and preventing and managing the illnesses related to elderly disorder (such as Alzheimer disease). Objective: Determination of Investigating the Knowledge and Practice about Prevention of Alzheimer Disease in Health Care Workers Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, 72% health professionals of Health network of Rasht completed a questionnaire on knowledge and practice about preventaion of Alzheimer disease. Data were analyzed by SPSS and Spearman's rho correlation coefficient, Chi-square and Kruskal-Wallis H. Results: The mean age of participants was 40.8 (SD=7.1) years with 71% being female. Only 32% of them had good knowledge about Alzheimer disease and 21.9% had good function in performing preventive measures for the disease. The majority of participants had moderate knowledge (66%) and function (77%) for Alzheimer disease. The results of Spearman's rho correlation coefficient showed that there was no significant relationship between knowledge and function (p=0.029, r=0.133). Conclusions: Knowledge and function of health care workers of Rasht city is in the moderate level. Given the non significant relationship between knowledge and function among participants, further investigations into other factors influencing the function are suggested. N,N'-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-phenylenediamine(salophen) modified activated carbon was prepared and used as an effective sorbent for solid phase extraction of Cu(II) ions from aqueous solutions. The salophen modified activated carbon showed a high sorption affinity for Cu(II). In this method a column mode was used for preconcentration of copper(II) in the pH range 3.5-6.5. The retained copper was eluted with 0.1 mol l-1 EDTA and determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. The calibration graph was linear over the copper concentration in the range 0.05-1.5 µg ml -1. Five replicate determination of 0.4 µg ml-1 of copper(II) gave a mean absorbance of 0.385 with a relative standard deviation of 1.35%. The detection limit was 0.0133 µg ml-1. The interference of a large number of anions and cations has been studied and the optimized conditions developed were utilized for determination of copper in various real samples. N , N '-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-phenyldiamine was synthesized for examining their ability to extract and transport Cu 2+ through a liquid membrane. By using hydrazine sulfate and potassium thiocyanate as reducing agent and acceptor respectively in the receiving phase at the optimum pH of 1.5, the amount of copper transported across the liquid membrane after 3.5 hours was 96%. Tetrahydropyranyl ethers derived from primary alcohols were directly and efficiently converted into the corresponding acetates and formates by the action of ethyl acetate, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and ethyl formate in the presence of a catalytic amount of potassium dodecatungstocobaltate K5CoW12O40 · 3H2O. Tetrahydropyranyl ethers derived from secondary alcohols and phenols can also be transformed into the corresponding acetates with the use of acetic anhydride, but K5CoW12O40 · 3H2O was ineffective for esterification with ethyl acetate, acetic acid, and ethyl formate. Cardiovascular diseases are the primary and fundamental reasons of people death around the world. Precise, fast responding, compact and integrable biosensors are considered as the most important prevention or treatment devices. In this work, remarkable absorbers based on graphene-plasmonic-black phosphorous hybrid structures are proposed. These devices are utilized for bio-sensing applications. The presented device is consisted of different quarter-cylindrical and plate shaped layers of graphene, black phosphorous, Ag, Au and Al 2 O 3 . In order to improve functionality of the presented absorber (improving the absorption's peak value), effects of structural parameters and chemical potential (E f ) on the absorption spectrum are being considered. The proposed structure will be considered as a biosensor for detection of cholesterol concentrations in blood samples (this would help physicians in diagnosis of hypercholesterolemia and prevention of cardiovascular diseases), after improving its characteristics. Finally, it is expected for this biosensor the following remarkable sensitivity, figure of merit, quality factor and detection limit of 6045.6 nm/RIU, 237.61 RIU - 1 , (80.3-90.1) and (2.1e-4-2.26e-5) RIU, respectively. In this paper, four individual structures based on graphene-plasmonic nano combinations are proposed for detection of corona viruses and especially COVID-19. The structures are arranged based on arrays in the shapes of half-sphere and one-dimensional photonic crystal formats. The half-sphere and plate shaped layers are made of Al , Au , SiO 2 and graphene. The one-dimensional photonic crystals lead the wavelength and peak corresponding to the absorption peak to lower and higher amounts, respectively. In order to improve the functionality of the proposed structures, effects of structural parameters and chemical potentials are considered. A defect layer of GZO is positioned in the middle of one-dimensional photonic crystal layers to shift the absorption's peak wavelength to the appropriate wavelength range for diagnosing corona viruses (~ 300 nm to 600 nm). The last proposed structure is considered as a refractive bio-sensor for detection of corona viruses. In the final proposed structure (based on different layers of Al , Au , SiO 2 , GZO and graphene), corona viruses are considered as the biomolecule layer and the results are obtained.
