Insulin resistance was hypothesized to be related to the incidence of advanced breast cancer. Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) and Triglyceride/Glucose Index (TyG Index) are two metrics used to measure the degree of insulin resistance. This study aims to assess the relationship between the incidence of metastatic breast cancer and insulin resistance as reflected by both metrics.Material and Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study involving 150 primary invasive breast cancer patients recruited from two hospitals of different sectors from August 2019 to April 2020. Patients with double cancer and autoimmune disorder were excluded from this study. Data obtained from the patients include age, body mass index (BMI), type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) status and treatment, and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. The electronic medical records (EMR) was consulted to find histopathology examination result, cancer staging, and any missing data. The association between HOMA-IR and TyG with metastatic incidence was analyzed using either the Mann–Whitney test (for non-normally distributed data) or the independent-sample t-test (for normally distributed data).Results: The mean of the TyG index is 8.60, and the median of HOMA-IR is 1.22. We found no significant correlation between both variables and the incidence of metastases.Conclusion: Insulin resistance was not associated with metastatic breast cancer.Keywords: HOMA-IR, TyG index, breast cancer, metastases

Recently, several articles have reflected on the existence of microorganisms in supporting the life and health of living creatures as the beginning of the emergence of microbiology literacy. In the curriculum, understanding the activity of microorganisms has been studied from pre-school, elementary school, and middle school to college. The presence of microorganisms is often associated as a cause of disease. As a result, most students know the negative impact of microorganisms but have not discovered the fundamental role of microorganisms in their lives. Special attention needs to be given as a form of effort to strengthen microbiology literacy. Several studies state that students have an important role in disseminating the concept of sterilization, maintaining a safe distance, and using masks as generally applicable protocols during the pandemic. Therefore, with the aim that microorganisms have an important role, both directly and indirectly and to curb negative perceptions of microorganisms, we propose microbiology competencies among biology education students, who are future teaching candidates. This article identifies the complex challenges of 21st-century microbiology learning and the OECD framework. This approach includes the use of pedagogical interventions with the main objectives: (i) knowledge (to teach fundamental microbiology knowledge, (ii) skills (to increase awareness in recognizing and solving real-life problems), and (iii) attitudes and values (to explain the contribution of microbiology in supporting life).

According to the stage, the management of NPC includes radiation, chemotherapy, or a combination of both. The standard agent for radiosensitizing chemotherapy is cisplatin. Among the several effects of cisplatin administration, nephrotoxicity raises the most concern, especially in high doses. Acute kidney disease (AKD) is a condition in which an acute kidney injury occurs at > 7 days but < 90 days. This study aimed to assess whether there is a significant difference in the incidence of AKD between NPC patients who received a cumulative dose of cisplatin up to (≤) 200 mg/m2 and patients who received more than (>) 200 mg/m2.Methods: This is a cohort retrospective study conducted in the radiotherapy unit of Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital. Medical records of 540 patients from January 2014 to December 2018 were collected and sorted. After sorting, 120 of the records were analyzed.Results: The analysis showed that 38.4% of patients who received > 200 mg/m2 cumulative dose of cisplatin experienced AKD, whereas 38.3% of the patients who received ≤ 200 mg/m2 cumulative dose of cisplatin experienced AKD.Conclusion: This study found that in patients with locally advanced NPC who received cisplatin chemoradiation, there was no significant difference in the incidence of AKD, recovery of renal function, or progression of chronic kidney disease between patients receiving a cumulative dose of cisplatin ≤ 200 mg/m2 and those receiving > 200 mg/m2.Keywords: cisplatin, nasopharyngeal cancer, acute kidney disease, chemoradiation

This study explores the correlation between technology utilization and language acquisition while analyzing the impact of moderating variables on this relation. Our meta-analysis approach analyzes data from 43 extracts out of 19 primary studies published between 2012 and 2021. Our data analysis employs a random-effect model utilizing a significance level of [Alpha] = 0.05. Additionally, the authors examine four moderating variables: level of education, location of research, proficiency in language, and year of publication. Technology-based language acquisition outperforms traditional methods, indicating a significant and moderate impact on the learning process. This study enhances comprehension of the efficacy of technology in language acquisition by identifying various factors, such as the geographical location of research, methods of assessing language proficiency, and technology type employed. However, there is insufficient evidence to support the notion that educational level or sample size significantly impact technology-based language acquisition. This meta-analysis highlights the importance of considering nuanced factors when integrating technology into language learning. The findings emphasize the possibility of technology to transform methods of acquiring language and urge additional investigation into customized strategies that optimize its advantages.

This analysis addresses the knowledge gap on laissez-faire leadership in organizations. After reviewing 64 articles through the systematic literature review, the study finds that laissez-faire leadership, marked by minimal decision-making involvement, is generally associated with negative outcomes like reduced employee satisfaction and productivity. However, its impact can vary based on context, potentially fostering creativity in highly skilled and motivated teams. The study emphasizes the need for judicious application of this leadership style and suggests that school managers should discern when to use it, considering its suitability for different types of educators. Overall, the research contributes valuable insights for leaders aiming to optimize leadership strategies in diverse contexts.

This research aims to evaluate the Inspirational School Program using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model, focusing on providing insights and recommendations for enhancing its effectiveness and sustainability. Data collection methods in qualitative descriptive research include interviews, observation, and documentation. The study's sample population comprises individuals associated with SMA Negeri 5 in Banjarmasin, including educators, school leaders, and grade XI students. In-person interviews were conducted with the school principal, homeroom teacher, counselling teacher, and students. Data analysis techniques encompass data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results indicate that the school's needs align with the Ministry of Education and Culture guidelines. Despite limited local government support, the program planning and evaluation processes have been implemented effectively despite obstacles. The Product Evaluation Stage reflects positive outcomes, including literacy, numeracy, character development, and school safety climate improvements. Educator and staff competence have also seen enhancements. It is recommended to align implementation with the Independent Curriculum, bolster human resources through educator and staff training, enhance infrastructure support, and seek increased government assistance to sustain and improve the program. These measures aim to enhance productivity further and ensure the continued success of the Inspirational School Program.

The aim of this research is to determine the best protein content, expandability, and organoleptic quality among three different drying treatments for cowhide crackers. The material used in this research is cowhide cowhide crackers. Three drying treatments were used in this study, which are drying in an oven for 4 hours (P1), sunlight drying for 2 days (P2), and a combination of both, with sunlight drying for 2 days and oven drying for 30 minutes. The research employs a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and a Randomized Block Design (RBD) Subsampling for the organoleptic test with three treatments and six replications, and the De Garmo method was used to determine the best treatment. The results of this research were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and if differences were found, Duncan's test was employed. The crucial problem during centuries in this world is poverty. However, this problem needs industrious effort to overcome in various types. Poverty is the responsibility all of human being over the world, therefore in the year 2000 the United Nations Organization i.e. UNDP declared the millennium development goals to reduce half of extreme poverty by 2015 as of the first priority. A lot of efforts to overcome poverty had been done, yet those efforts were only synonymous with treating those who were sick, had not done early prevention of a kind of vaccination so that children do not experience poor life hopelessly. The research was conducted through The Sanggar Alang Alang Foundation in Surabaya, later on it is mentioned as the sanggar, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that had carried out informal education on street children, neglected children, beggars, buskers in order to have basic capital through life after starting adulthood (18 years), at least it can be expected being a member of a prosperous society, even though there is also a failure, because children are also educated by a non-conducive environment coupled with the child's personality itself also influenced the results of the studio's business. Education in the sanggar from specific content and ways of conveying, the material provided includes issues of ethics, aesthetics, norms and religion, education is free as in family gatherings. All the implementation of education is intended to complement formal education or pursue packages for assisted children who are endeavored to get scholarships and some are funded by their own foundations. Thus, in addition to the government, the community also has social responsibility in overcoming poverty and inequality by maintaining neglected children and the poor as mandated by the Law, especially as the Sanggar Alang Alang Foundation does not have a definite financial source.

IMPROVING LEARNING PROCESSES THROUGH ONLINE LECTURE TRAINING FOR LECTURERS. The development of information and communication technology sophistication is undeniable. One form of technological development is the Internet. With the Internet, we can receive and access information in various formats from all corners of the world. The presence of the Internet provides convenience in the world of education as a learning medium. Based on these conditions, online lecture training is conducted with the aim of improving the learning process during lectures. The training was conducted with the Google classroom application introduction material. The results obtained during the training showed very high lecturer enthusiasm. Training makes lecturers have the ability to better manage lecture materials, can arrange quiz schedules or assignments regularly every week, the ability of lecturers in interpersonal communication also increases with class collaboration.

Berkeley Lab’s “Utility-Scale Solar, 2024 Edition” presents analysis of empirical plant-level data from the U.S. fleet of ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV), PV+battery, and concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP) plants with capacities exceeding 5 MWAC (PV plants of 5 MWAC or less, including residential rooftop systems, are covered separately in Berkeley Lab’s companion annual report, Tracking the Sun).Key findings from this year’s report include:-18.5 GWAC of new utility-scale PV capacity came online in 2023, bringing cumulative installed capacity to more than 80.2 GWAC across 47 states.Installed costs continued to fall in 2023. Relative to 2022, capacity-weighted averages decreased by 8% to -$1.43/WAC (or $1.08/WDC). Costs, based on a 7.1 GWAC sample of 76 plants completed in 2023, have fallen by 75% (averaging 10% annually) since 2010.Plant-level capacity factors vary widely, from 6% to 36% (on an AC basis), with a sample median of 24%.-Levelized cost of energy (LCOE) of new 2023 projects increased slightly to $46/MWh prior to the application of tax credits but continued to fall to $31/MWh when accounting for federal incentives.PPA prices have largely followed the decline in solar’s LCOE over time, but newly signed longer-term PPA prices have increased since 2021, to an average of $35/MWh (levelized, in 2023 dollars). -Solar’s average energy and capacity value (i.e., ability to offset costs of other power generation sources) across the U.S. was $45/MWh in 2023. Solar’s average market value was lowest in CAISO ($27/MWh), the market with the greatest solar generation share, and highest in ERCOT ($67/MWh).-Newer solar projects had greater market value in 2023 than their generation costs, yielding $1.1 billion in benefits. Projects built in 2022 delivered on average $15/MWh more market value than their costs in 2023.-Solar’s combined value from wholesale electricity markets, public health and climate damage reduction were greater than generation costs and incentives, yielding $13.7 billion in net benefits in 2023. We estimate U.S. health benefits of $24/MWh and reduced global climate damages of $101/MWh.-Adding battery storage is one way to increase the value of solar. Deployment of 52 new PV+battery hybrid plants set a record with 5.3 GW installed in 2023. Our public data file tracks metadata and PPA prices from more than 100 PV+battery hybrid projects that are already online or that have secured offtake arrangements.-Looking ahead, a massive pipeline of at least 1,085 GW of solar capacity dominates the nation’s interconnection queues at the end of 2023. Nearly 571 GW, or 53%, of that total was paired with a battery – in CAISO it was a staggering 98%. During covid-19 pandemic, empowerment program was carried out by online. The Community Service Institute (LPM) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta has implemented an online empowerment program through Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN). Online media such like social media, video conference, and messaging application are used to support the implementation of online empowerment program. It is necessary to know the level of community satisfaction of online community empowerment programs as an evaluation material for future empowerment activities. This study aims to analyze the level of community satisfaction and the factors related to the level of community satisfaction towards the village community empowerment program. The location determination was conducted Proportionate Random Sampling in Province of Special Region of Yogyakarta with 84 respondents selected through Random Sampling method. The result shows that (1) The level of community satisfaction on program suitability, program implementation, and problem solving classified at satisfying level due to the average number at 2,34. (2) Factors related to community satisfaction such as accuracy of innovation and mentoring process have significant correlation with community satisfaction with a 99% confidence level.

The problems faced by Partners 1 and Partner 2 are constrained in the field of online marketing, due to the limited cost of the Partners. The purpose of the devotion activity is to develop an independent printing business and have a broad insight on print design and graphic design. The solutions offered from the devotion activities are providing printing machines and hot press machines, mentoring media marketing, production management and marketing training. The outcomes of the IbM program are scientific publications in ISSN Journals, national seminar publications, and online promotional media.

Institutions of higher education do not only act as media for the educational process but must also become learning organizations. Various learning support facilities are widely available in this age of technology. One means that can be used is the Internet. The internet is a useful tool for accessing information in various formats from all over the world. The internet provides convenience in the world of education as a learning medium. Based on these conditions, online lecture training is conducted with the aim of improving the learning process during lectures. The training is carried out with Google classroom application material and the creation of learning video content. Using Google classroom can give students access to online learning. The training is carried out by direct practice using each lecturer's notebook. The results obtained during the training showed very high lecturer enthusiasm. The training makes the lecturers have the ability to better manage the lecture material, the skills of lecturers also increase by doing the practice directly. The ability of lecturers in interpersonal communication also increases with class collaboration. Through training can make changes in cognitive abilities, motor skills, values ??of affection, emotional values, and spiritual values.

One of urban agriculture activities in Yogyakarta City was utilizing yard through farmer groups coordinated by group‟s leader as opinion leader. This study aims to i) Describe farmer group's activities and management on utilizing urban-yard in Yogyakarta City, ii) Determine role of group's leader in utilizing urban-yard in Yogyakarta City, iii) Analyze factors related to member‟s perceptions of the role of group‟s leader in utilizing urban-yard in Yogyakarta City. There were 48 samples selected by multistage random sampling. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis to describe activities and management of farmer groups, table analysis to determine role of group‟s leader, and rank spearman correlation analysis to analyze factors related to member‟s perceptions of role of group‟s leader. The result indicated that urban farmer group had several activities. On management, urban farmer groups didn‟t have comprehensive organizational structure and administrative records. The instructive, consultative, and participatory roles of group‟s leader can be categorized very good. Meanwhile liaison role was categorized good. Factor that had significant correlation to member‟s perceptions of the role of group‟s leader was role of agricultural extention.

Kabupaten Pacitan merupakan wilayah yang berpotensi terdampak bencana tsunami. Adanya kawasan pantai dengan karakteristik bentuk teluk menyebabkan semakin meningkatnya risiko bencana tsunami jika terjadi di lingkungan yang berbatasan langsung dengan pantai tersebut. Berdasarkan penelitian yang pernah dilakukan, tingkat ketahanan masyarakat pesisir Pacitan masih rendah. Namun, pada akhir tahun 2015 dibentuk kelompok sadar keselamatan pantai di lingkungan RW.08 Kelurahan Ploso Kabupaten Pacitan yang ditujukan agar dapat menanggulangi bencana laut dan menjaga keselamatan pengunjung. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan kajian dalam menganalisa tingkat manajemen risiko bencana tsunami berbasis masyarakat di RW. 08 Kelurahan Ploso Kabupaten Pacitan, sebagai bahan dalam perumusan konsep manajemen risiko bencana tsunami berbasis masyarakat kedepannya. Artikel ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian mengenai konsep manajemen risiko bencana tsunami berbasis masyarakat (studi kasus: RW. 08 Kelurahan Ploso Kabupaten Pacitan). Melalui teknik analisis isi (content analysis) dapat diketahui tindakan-tindakan manajemen risiko bencana tsunami yang telah dilakukan oleh masyarakat di RW. 08 Kelurahan Ploso Kabupaten Pacitan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat manajemen risiko bencana tsunami berbasis masyarakat sudah sangat bagus dengan persentase rata-rata 89,34% tahapan manajemen sudah pernah dilakukan oleh masyarakat.

Among many approaches to manage municipal solid waste (MSW), waste to energy (WtE) program through running a landfill gas plant is believed the best way. It deals with waste and energy problems simultaneously. However, even though it offers inevitable benefits, in Indonesia WtE program implementation is stagnant. This study proposes an alternative funding scheme to run the program, i.e. based on resident participation. The study used willingness to pay from Contingent Valuation Method to disclose the participation level. For the purpose, a case study was taken place at City of Depok, West Java Province. The result reveals that the proposed funding scheme is an applicable way for the program. As much as 86% of Depok resident were willing to participate funding the project with the participation range of 20,000 to 200,000 IDR per month. The percentage is even higher, 88%, if there is an incentive such as electricity bill discount to the participants.

Interprofessional education (IPE) is a method that can support the collaboration of two or more health professions to create ideal teamwork. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of interprofessional education (IPE) in the learning process among three (3) departments of health professions in the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Jayapura. In this exploratory qualitative study, the data were collected from second and third-year students of health profession at The Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health, Jayapura. They were tasked with understanding the scenario of patients with malaria, they used the Maastricht seven jump method for PBL: (1) Clarify Concept, (2) Define Problem, (3) Discuss analyze a problem, (4) Identify Possible Explanation/solution, (5) Set Task/Learning Objective, (6) Research Solutions, (7) Synthesis Results/Solution/ Reflect. Data collection is conducted with in-depth interviews and document analysis conducted on interprofessional education competencies. The fully transcribed data from both the process were thematically analyzed. The qualitative data analysis, showed there are gaps in the implementation of interprofessional education learning activities as well as commitments to the implementation of programs that are not adequate. The implementation of interprofessional education at the Jayapura Ministry of Health Polytechnic can be implemented by learning various problem-solving strategies.
