By employing the numerically accurate multiple Davydov Ansatz (mDA) formalism in combination with the thermo-field dynamics (TFD) representation of quantum mechanics, we systematically explore the influence of three parameters—temperature, photonic-mode detuning, and qubit–phonon coupling—on population dynamics and absorption spectra of the Holstein–Tavis–Cummings (HTC) model. It is found that elevated qubit–phonon couplings and/or temperatures have a similar impact on all dynamic observables: they suppress the amplitudes of Rabi oscillations in photonic populations as well as broaden the peaks and decrease their intensities in the absorption spectra. Our results unequivocally demonstrate that the HTC dynamics is very sensitive to the concerted variation of the three aforementioned parameters, and this finding can be used for fine-tuning polaritonic transport. The developed mDA-TFD methodology can be efficiently applied for modeling, predicting, optimizing, and comprehensively understanding dynamic and spectroscopic responses of actual molecular systems in microcavities. Strong coupling of a confined optical field to the excitonic or vibronic transitions of a molecular material results in the formation of new hybrid states called polaritons. Such effects have been extensively studied in Fabry–Pèrot microcavity structures where an organic material is placed between two highly reflective mirrors. Recently, theoretical and experimental evidence has suggested that strong coupling can be used to modify chemical reactivity as well as molecular photophysical functionalities. However, the geometry of conventional microcavity structures limits the ability of molecules "encapsulated" in a cavity to interact with their local environment. Here, we fabricate mirrorless organic membranes that utilize the refractive index contrast between the organic active material and its surrounding medium to confine an optical field with Q-factor values up to 33. Using angle-resolved white light reflectivity measurements, we confirm that our structures operate in the strong coupling regime, with Rabi-splitting energies between 60 and 80 meV in the different structures studied. The experimental results are matched by transfer matrix and coupled oscillator models that simulate the various polariton states of the free standing membranes. Our work demonstrates that mechanically flexible and easy-to-fabricate free standing membranes can support strong light–matter coupling, making such simple and versatile structures highly promising for a range of polariton applications. Kerr non-linearity can induce epsilon-near-zero material characteristics in negative index material when incident pulse intensity is at its threshold value. Such Kerr induced epsilon-near-zero regime in negative index material, where group velocity approaches zero and phase velocity diverges, is ideal for strong exciton -photon interaction that can lead to the formation of polaritons oscillating between photonic and excitonic states with frequency Ω R ħ , Ω R being the Rabi frequency. Quantum mechanical analysis using polariton dynamics shows that the optical pulse will be self-trapped in Kerr induced epsilon-near-zero regime and, thereby, suggest that maintaining the intensity of an incident light pulse at the threshold value in negative index material may be an alternative means to trap light, unlike slow light, stopped light or stationary light generated conventionally through electromagnetically induced transparency. Coherent manipulation of electron spins is one of the central challenges of silicon-based quantum computing efforts. Electron spin resonance (ESR) lines, or Oersted lines, allow 10–60 GHz radio frequency (RF) pulses to induce an electromagnetic field that drives Rabi oscillations in a quantum dot interface. The frequency of these Rabi oscillations is directly proportional to the strength of the induced electromagnetic field. We outline a methodology for the design of a printed circuit board and an ESR line that is able to transmit an RF pulse in the 40 GHz regime and induce an oscillating magnetic field onto a qubit device. We propose and implement a novel design by coupling a second symmetrical Oersted line in the opposing direction of the first to act as an antenna for the purpose of monitoring power and magnetic field strength at the embedded device interface. In this work, we analyze the spontaneous emission dynamics of a V-type quantum emitter near a graphene nanodisk based on the combination of electromagnetic and quantum dynamical calculations. The presence of the graphene nanodisk gives strong anisotropy to the Purcell factors of the quantum emitter, leading to interference effects in spontaneous emission appearing as coupling between the emitter's upper levels. This effect is further enhanced by the strong light–matter interaction of the quantum emitter with the modified electromagnetic mode continuum, which induces non-Markovian spontaneous emission dynamics. We have studied the population dynamics of the quantum emitter at a specific distance from the center of the graphene nanodisk for various free-space decay widths and different quantum emitter's initial conditions and have shown weak coupling results appearing with Markovian decay dynamics, obtained for quantum emitters with small free-space decay widths, and population dynamics that exhibits distinctly non-Markovian features, such as prominent decaying Rabi oscillations in the population evolution of the quantum emitter's excited states and energy exchange between them during the overall population decay into the photonic mode continuum for largest free-space decay widths. Also, for the largest value of the free-space decay width, we obtain significant population trapping effects in the excited states of the quantum emitter. Furthermore, we find that the population dynamics for specific light–matter interaction strength conditions between the quantum emitter and the graphene nanodisk depend distinctively on the initial state of the quantum emitter, whether it is a single state or a superposition state. Time-optimal control holds promise across the full spectrum of quantum technologies, where the rapid generation of unitary gates and state transformations is crucial to mitigate decoherence effects. In practical scenarios, quantum systems are always immersed in an external time-dependent field or potential, either owing to the inevitable influence of the environment or as a sought-after effect for enhanced coherence. The challenge then lies in finding the time-optimal approach to navigate quantum systems amidst dynamical ambient Hamiltonians, a pursuit that has proven elusive thus far. We showcase the implementation of arbitrary quantum state transformations and a universal set of single-qubit gates under a background Landau-Zener Hamiltonian. Leveraging the favorable coherence properties of timedomain Rabi oscillations, we achieve velocities surpassing the Mandelstam-Tamm quantum speed limit and significantly lower energy costs than those incurred by conventional quantum control techniques. Quantum information scrambling refers to the spread of the initially stored information over many degrees of freedom of a quantum many-body system. Information scrambling is intimately linked to the thermalization of isolated quantum many-body systems, and has been typically studied in a sudden quench scenario. Here, we extend the notion of quantum information scrambling to critical quantum many-body systems undergoing an adiabatic evolution. In particular, we analyze how the symmetry-breaking information of an initial state is scrambled in adiabatically driven integrable systems, such as the Lipkin–Meshkov–Glick and quantum Rabi models. Following a time-dependent protocol that drives the system from symmetry-breaking to a normal phase, we show how the initial information is scrambled, even for perfect adiabatic evolutions, as indicated by the expectation value of a suitable observable. We detail the underlying mechanism for quantum information scrambling, its relation to ground- and excited-state quantum phase transitions, and quantify the degree of scrambling in terms of the number of eigenstates that participate in the encoding of the initial symmetry-breaking information. While the energy of the final state remains unaltered in an adiabatic protocol, the relative phases among eigenstates are scrambled, and so is the symmetry-breaking information. We show that a potential information retrieval, following a time-reversed protocol, is hindered by small perturbations, as indicated by a vanishingly small Loschmidt echo and out-of-time-ordered correlators. Encapsulated atomic hydrogen in polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) cages is a promising candidate for spin‐based quantum technologies. Key parameters such as spin relaxation times and magnetic interactions with surrounding electron and nuclear spins can be typically probed with advanced electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) methods. Here we present a detailed pulsed EPR study of the species H@Si8O12R8 with R=CH3, namely encapsulated atomic hydrogen in the octamethyl POSS derivative. The temperature dependence of the spin‐lattice relaxation rate 1/T1 ${{T}_{1}}$ is analyzed in terms of a Raman process with a Debye temperature of θD=145 ${{\theta }_{{\rm D}}=145}$ K and a thermally activated process with Ea=794K ${{E}_{a}=794\hskip0.17em\hskip0.17em{\rm K}}$ (552 cm−1), whereas, the phase memory time TM ${T_{\rm{M}} }$ shows the typical shortening behaviour at T<150 ${T \char60 150}$ K observed for all methyl‐containing derivatives. The hyperfine coupling of the cage 29 ${^{29} }$ Si nuclei is measured by hyperfine sublevel correlation (HYSCORE) spectroscopy and is found to fulfil the so‐called "matching condition" at the low‐field EPR transition. We develop the theory for the Stark fluorescence (SF) of molecular aggregates by taking into account the mixing of the excited states [including the states with charge-transfer (CT) characters]. We use the sum-over-state approach and modified rotating wave approximation to describe interactions of the static and optical fields with the permanent and transition dipoles of the excited states. The SF spectral profiles are calculated using the standard and modified Redfield theories for the emission lineshapes. The resulting expression allows an interpretation of the SF response based on the calculation of only one-exciton states (i.e., the calculation of two-exciton states is not needed). The shape and amplitude of the SF spectrum can exhibit dramatic changes in the presence of the CT states, especially when the CT state is mixed with the red-most emitting exciton levels. In this case, the SF responses are much more sensitive to the exciton-CT mixing as compared with the usual Stark absorption. The limitation of the proposed theory is related to the simplified nature of the Redfield picture, which neglects the dynamic localization within the mixed exciton-CT configuration. We present an additive-manufactured microwave cavity for a Ramsey-type, double resonance, compact cold-atom clock. Atoms can be laser cooled inside the cavity using a grating magneto-optic trap with the cavity providing an excellent TE011-like mode while maintaining sufficient optical access for atomic detection. The cavity features a low Q-factor of 360 which conveniently reduces the cavity pulling of the future clock. Despite the potential porosity of the additive-manufacturing process, we demonstrate that the cavity is well-suited for vacuum. A preliminary clock setup using cold atoms allows for measuring the Zeeman spectrum and Rabi oscillations in the cavity which enables us to infer excellent field uniformity and homogeneity, respectively, across the volume accessed by the cold atoms. The homogeneity of the microwave magnetic field is essential in controlling a large volume of ensemble spins, for example, in the case of sensitive magnetometry with nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond. This is particularly important for pulsed measurement, where the fidelity of control pulses plays a crucial role in its sensitivity. So far, several magnetic field-forming systems have been proposed, but no detailed comparison has been made. Here, we numerically study the homogeneity of five different systems, including a planar antenna, a dielectric resonator, a cylindrical inductor, a barrel-shaped coil, and a nested barrel-shaped coil. The results of the simulation allowed us to optimize the design parameters of the barrel-shaped field-forming system, which led to significantly improved magnetic field uniformity. To measure this effect, we experimentally compared the homogeneity of a field-forming system having a barrel shape with that of a planar field-forming system by measuring Rabi oscillations of an ensemble of NV centers with them. Cavity electromagnonic system, which simultaneously consists of cavities for photons, magnons (quanta of spin waves), and acoustic phonons, provides an exciting platform to achieve coherent energy transduction among different physical systems down to single quantum level. Here we report a dynamical phase-field model that allows simulating the coupled dynamics of the electromagnetic waves, magnetization, and strain in 3D multiphase systems. As examples of application, we computationally demonstrate the excitation of hybrid magnon-photon modes (magnon polaritons), Floquet-induced magnonic Aulter-Townes splitting, dynamical energy exchange (Rabi oscillation) and relative phase control (Ramsey interference) between the two magnon polariton modes. The simulation results are consistent with analytical calculations based on Floquet Hamiltonian theory. Simulations are also performed to design a cavity electro-magno-mechanical system that enables the triple phonon-magnon-photon resonance, where the resonant excitation of a chiral, fundamental (n = 1) transverse acoustic phonon mode by magnon polaritons is demonstrated. With the capability to predict coupling strength, dissipation rates, and temporal evolution of photon/magnon/phonon mode profiles using fundamental materials parameters as the inputs, the present dynamical phase-field model represents a valuable computational tool to guide the fabrication of the cavity electromagnonic system and the design of operating conditions for applications in quantum sensing, transduction, and communication. The paper simulates systems in which two types of spin waves can occur, propagating in opposite directions. To achieve this, the quantum slow-wave approximation is employed, allowing for the determination of the probability distribution of occupied states in a quantum two-particle system subjected to perturbations, commonly referred to as Rabi oscillations. This model is specifically applied to a configuration of parallel nanowires exposed to an external electromagnetic wave within the microwave range. Optical solitons are controlled and modified in a four level N-type atomic medium under the effect of cross Kerr nonlinearity. Significant control over optical solitons are reported with variation of driving fields and system parameters. The single and mixed types optical solitons are controlled for the first time with strength of applied driving fields in the medium. Single dark and bright optical solitons are achieved by fixing Rabi frequencies, detuning and phase of applied driving fields. The multi-peakon and periodic type optical solitons are also modified with strength of applied driving fields. Further more the mixed-types of optical solitons including dark-peakon, breather-periodic, multi-peakon-breather and multi-peakon-breather-periodic types optical solitons are investigated with the variation of control fields Rabi frequencies, detunings and decay rates. In this study, based on the theory developed in Paper I, we explore the combined effects of molecular fluorescence and excitation energy transfer in a minimal model—a pair of single-vibration-mode chromophores coupled to surface plasmon polaritons. For the chromophores with zero Huang–Rhys factors and strong couplings to surface plasmon polaritons, we find that the frequencies of Rabi oscillations (the strengths of strong light–matter couplings) are associated with the initial excitation conditions. On the other hand, for the chromophores weakly coupled to surface plasmon polaritons, our numerical calculations together with analytical analysis elaborate on the conditions for the superradiant and subradiant decay behaviors. Moreover, we show that the modified decay rate constants can be explicitly expressed in terms of generalized spectral densities (or dyadic Green's functions), revealing a relationship between photonic environments and the collective effects such as superradiance and subradiance. For the chromophores with nonzero Huang–Rhys factors and strong coupling to surface plasmon polaritons, the effects of molecular vibrations emerge. We demonstrate that the low-frequency vibrational modes do not affect the excited state population dynamics, while the high-frequency vibrational modes can modify either the period of Rabi oscillation (Franck–Condon Rabi oscillation) or the amplitude of excited state population. Our study shows that the collective effects, including superradiance and subradiance, can be controlled via dielectric environments and initial excitation conditions, providing new insights into polariton chemistry and the design of quantum optical devices. Achieving fast gates and long coherence times for superconducting qubits presents challenges, typically requiring either a stronger coupling of the drive line or an excessively strong microwave signal to the qubit. To address this, we introduce on-chip filters of the qubit drive exhibiting a stopband at the qubit frequency, thus enabling long coherence times and strong coupling at the subharmonic frequency, facilitating fast single-qubit gates, and reduced thermal load. The filters exhibit an extrinsic relaxation time of a few seconds while enabling sub-10-ns gates with subharmonic control. Here we show up to 200-fold improvement in the measured relaxation time at the stopband. Furthermore, we implement subharmonic driving of Rabi oscillations with a π pulse duration of 12 ns. Our demonstration of on-chip filters and efficient subharmonic driving in a two-dimensional quantum processor paves the way for a scalable qubit architecture with reduced thermal load and noise from the control line. Qubit development demands two conflicting requirements: good isolation from the environment and yet a strong coupling with control drive lines. This work addresses this issue, by implementing an on-chip filter that decouples a superconducting qubit from resonant modes of the environments, while achieving strong coupling with low-frequency modes. de Broglie gravitational waves represent a classical realization of a form of dynamics that was proposed by de Broglie at the beginning of the last century. They are oscillations of spacetime with an effective mass, which is responsible for longitudinal effects that are absent in standard gravitational waves. In this article we study the influence of this gravitational field on a two-level atom in a semiclassical way. We will work out a gauge independent expression of the effective potential describing such interaction and we will use it to compute the transition amplitude between two quantum states. For a two-level hydrogen atom we will find an example of gravitational qubit, meaning that the quantum system exhibits periodic transitions between the states (Rabi oscillations) in analogy to the case of electromagnetic interaction. Trapped bosonic atoms can be cooled down to temperatures where the atomic cloud experiences Bose–Einstein condensation. Almost all atoms in a dilute gaseous system can be Bose-condensed, which implies that this system is in a coherent state. The coherent atomic system enjoys many properties typical of coherent optical systems. It is possible to generate different condensate coherent modes similarly to the generation of optical modes. Several effects can be observed, such as interference patterns, interference current, Rabi oscillations, harmonic generation, parametric conversion, Ramsey fringes, mode locking, dynamic transition between Rabi and Josephson regimes, and atomic squeezing. The distinct spin, optical, and coherence characteristics of solid-state spin defects in semiconductors have positioned them as potential qubits for quantum technologies. Both bulk and two-dimensional materials, with varying structural properties, can serve as crystalline hosts for color centers. In this study, we conduct a comparative analysis of the spin–optical, electron–nuclear, and relaxation properties of nitrogen-bound vacancy defects using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and electron–nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) techniques. We examine key parameters of the spin Hamiltonian for the nitrogen vacancy ( N V − ) center in 4H-SiC: D = 1.3 GHz, Azz = 1.1 MHz, and CQ = 2.53 MHz, as well as for the boron vacancy ( V B − ) in hBN: D = 3.6 GHz, Azz = 85 MHz, and CQ = 2.11 MHz, and their dependence on the material matrix. The spin–spin relaxation times T2 ( N V − center: 50 µs and V B − : 15 µs) are influenced by the local nuclear environment and spin diffusion while Rabi oscillation damping times depend on crystal size and the spatial distribution of microwave excitation. The ENDOR absorption width varies significantly among color centers due to differences in crystal structures. These findings underscore the importance of selecting an appropriate material platform for developing quantum registers based on high-spin color centers in quantum information systems. We provide a simple method that enables readily acquired experimental data to be used to predict whether or not a candidate molecular material may exhibit strong coupling. Specifically, we explore the relationship between the hybrid molecular/photonic (polaritonic) states and the bulk optical response of the molecular material. For a given material, this approach enables a prediction of the maximum extent of strong coupling (vacuum Rabi splitting), irrespective of the nature of the confined light field. We provide formulae for the upper limit of the splitting in terms of the molar absorption coefficient, the attenuation coefficient, the extinction coefficient (imaginary part of the refractive index) and the absorbance. Long coherence times at room temperature make the NV center a promising candidate for quantum sensors and quantum computers. The necessary coherent control of the electron spin triplet in the ground state requires microwave π pulses in the nanosecond range, obtained from the Rabi oscillation of the mS spin states of the magnetic resonances of the NV centers. Laboratory equipment has a high temporal resolution for these measurements but is expensive and, therefore, uninteresting for fields such as education. In this work, we present measurement electronics for NV centers that are optimized for microcontrollers. It is shown that the Rabi frequency is linear to the output of the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and is used to adapt the time length π of the electron spin flip, to the limited pulse width resolution of the microcontroller. This was achieved by breaking down the most relevant functions of conventional laboratory devices and replacing them with commercially available integrated components. The dependence of the structure and stability of strongly asymmetric stationary states of a superradiant laser with a slightly asymmetric low-Q Fabry–Perot cavity on its length, reflection factors of mirrors, and pumping level is studied. The states are related to a self-consistent inhomogeneous half-wavelength population inversion grating. The possibility of the existence of two dynamic phase transitions from a stationary (monochromatic) state of this type to a nonstationary one is established: (1) a dissipative superradiant transition to a regime with a quasi-continuous lasing spectrum (in a weakly asymmetric cavity) and (2) a self-modulation transition to a regime with a discrete lasing spectrum. It is shown that the latter can be caused by excitation of both polariton and electromagnetic laser modes due to resonant Rabi oscillations of active centers with a sufficiently long phase relaxation time. Single‐molecule optoelectronics offers opportunities for advancing integrated photonics and electronics, which also serves as a tool to elucidate the underlying mechanism of light‐matter interaction. Plasmonics, which plays pivotal role in the interaction of photons and matter, have became an emerging area. A comprehensive understanding of the plasmonic excitation and modulation mechanisms within single‐molecule junctions (SMJs) lays the foundation for optoelectronic devices. Consequently, this review primarily concentrates on illuminating the fundamental principles of plasmonics within SMJs, delving into their research methods and modulation factors of plasmon‐exciton. Moreover, we underscore the interaction phenomena within SMJs, including the enhancement of molecular fluorescence by plasmonics, Fano resonance and Rabi splitting caused by the interaction of plasmon‐exciton. Finally, by emphasizing the potential applications of plasmonics within SMJs, such as their roles in optical tweezers, single‐photon sources, super‐resolution imaging, and chemical reactions, we elucidate the future prospects and current challenges in this domain. One of the most effective ways to advance the performance of quantum computers and quantum sensors is to increase the number of qubits or quantum resources in the system. A major technical challenge that must be solved to realize this goal for trapped-ion systems is scaling the delivery of optical signals to many individual ions. In this paper we demonstrate an approach employing waveguides and multi-mode interferometer splitters to optically address multiple 171Yb+ ions in a surface trap by delivering all wavelengths required for full qubit control. Measurements of hyperfine spectra and Rabi flopping were performed on the E2 clock transition, using integrated waveguides for delivering the light needed for Doppler cooling, state preparation, coherent operations, and detection. We describe the use of splitters to address multiple ions using a single optical input per wavelength and use them to demonstrate simultaneous Rabi flopping on two different transitions occurring at distinct trap sites. This work represents an important step towards the realization of scalable integrated photonics for atomic clocks and trapped-ion quantum information systems. A promising strategy for scaling trapped-ion-based quantum technologies is to use fully integrated optical waveguides to deliver light to numerous ions at multiple sites. A model designed to mimic the implications of the collective optical response of molecular ensembles in optical cavities on molecular vibronic dynamics is investigated. Strong molecule–radiation field coupling is often reached when a large number N of molecules respond collectively to the radiation field. In electronic strong coupling, molecular nuclear dynamics following polariton excitation reflects (a) the timescale separation between the fast electronic and photonic dynamics and the slow nuclear motion on one hand and (b) the interplay between the collective nature of the molecule–field coupling and the local nature of the molecules nuclear response on the other. The first implies that the electronic excitation takes place, in the spirit of the Born approximation, at an approximately fixed nuclear configuration. The second can be rephrased as the intriguing question of whether the collective nature of optical excitation leads to collective nuclear motion following polariton formation resulting in so-called polaron decoupled dynamics. We address this issue by studying the dynamical properties of a simplified Holstein–Tavis–Cummings-type model, in which boson modes representing molecular vibrations are replaced by two-level systems, while the boson frequency and the vibronic coupling are represented by the coupling between these levels (that induces Rabi oscillations between them) and electronic state dependence of this coupling. We investigate the short-time behavior of this model following polariton excitation as well as its response to CW driving and its density of states spectrum. We find that, while some aspects of the dynamical behavior appear to adhere to the polaron decoupling picture, the observed dynamics mostly reflect the local nature of the nuclear configuration of the electronic polariton rather than this picture. The modified radiative and non-radiative states due to the weak coupling of an emitter with other resonant objects (Purcell effect) can be recast as a quantum interference of the paths of the photon that define the classical scattering and absorption by the object. When the coupling is stronger, additional paths representing the Rabi oscillations or the possible re-absorption of the photon from the excited object, by the emitter at the ground-state, have to be included in the quantum interference. The effect of these additional Rabi paths of the photon on the radiative states and the efficiency of spontaneous emission can be approximated using a simple one-loop correction to the weak-coupling approximation. This effect is especially evident in the anomalous enhancements of emission due to extremely small non-scattering (or almost fully absorbing) metal nanoparticles less than 10 nm in dimensions approximately. Extending these corrections to a collective model of spontaneous emission that includes multiple emitters and such very small metal nanoparticles coupled to each other, the large contribution of Rabi paths to radiative decay in such bulk materials is elucidated. Vibrational strong coupling provides a convenient way to modify the energy of molecular vibrations and to explore the control of chemical reactivity. In this work, we theoretically report the various vibrational anharmonicities that modulate the dynamics of optomechanically coupled W(CO)6-cavity. The optomechanical free-space cavity consists of movable photonic crystal membrane, which creates photonic bound states to interact with the molecular vibration. This coupled system is used for realizing strong optomechanical dispersive or dissipative type coupling, which provides a platform to explore the new regimes of optomechanical interaction. The addition of different strong coupling and mechanical (nuclear) anharmonicities to the optical cavity establishes a modified splitting dynamics in the absorption spectrum and shows that the ground-state bleach of coupled W(CO)6-cavity has a broad, multisigned spectral response. The time evolution of the polarization of a rubidium atom spin ensemble driven by a resonant radio-frequency (RF) magnetic field is analyzed based on the rate equation. A simple optical pumping experimental system is constructed and the time response of the rubidium atomic ensemble is demonstrated by recording the transmitted intensity of pumping light. In the steady-state response, the polarization difference between the optical pumping steady state and the magnetic resonance steady state depends on the optical pumping power and RF magnetic intensity. We can obtain the optimal power value corresponding to the maximum polarization difference. In terms of transient response, where the intensity of RF magnetic field is too weak to observe Rabi oscillations, two decay processes between magnetic resonance and optical pumping steady states are monitored. The decay time from magnetic resonance steady state to optical pumping steady state depends on the optical pumping rate and the spin relaxation rate. The decay time from optical pumping steady state to magnetic resonance steady state depends on the optical pumping rate, the RF driving rate, and the spin relaxation rate. The scale factor of pumping rate to pumping power is obtained, in addition to that of RF driving rate to the RF magnetic field. In this paper, by applying generalized density-matrix equations, we explore the ultrafast dynamics of photo-generated electron–hole pairs in the system composed of electromagnetically coupled GaAs/AlGaAs quantum dots and reveal the physics mechanism behind laser-controlled nonlinear-optical response of electron–hole pairs. For the single-dot system, we present numerical results to show the transient dependence of carrier occupations and induced quantum coherence of electron–hole pairs in the presence of either a single or double laser pulses, as well as for a step turning-on of the laser field. For a dipole-radiation coupled double-dot system, we study numerically the time dependence of both intradot and interdot self-consistent depolarization fields within and between two dots, respectively. Meanwhile, we further demonstrate the significance of phase matching between induced depolarization fields and incident-laser pulse in order to maximize the stimulated transitions of electron–hole pairs and ensure non-quenched Rabi oscillations in each quantum dot. The employed theoretical model and the associated numerical analysis method are expected to facilitate designing and developing artificial quantum molecules composed of arbitrarily dielectric-embedded quantum dots with non-local quantum interactions and entanglement, as well as optically manipulating electron states of artificial quantum molecules. This study introduces a method for reconstructing vector microwave magnetic fields using a single nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in locally strong effective fields with two different orientations in diamond, without the previously required external magnetic field. Due to the varying orientations of the effective fields, NV centers exhibit two distinct sets of switchable ground states. The resonant Rabi oscillations of an NV center in these two distinct states were utilized to reconstruct vector microwave magnetic fields. Remarkably, this technique achieves an angular resolution of 0.02 mrad / Hz . Overcoming the limitations inherent in previous practices of using NV ensembles, this breakthrough has the potential to substantially enhance both the spatial resolution and the sensitivity of microwave magnetic field imaging, a meaningful development for various scientific and technological applications. Very short chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) pulses are beneficial in cardiac continuous wave (cw) CEST MRI, especially in small animals because of their rapid heartbeat; however, they result in signal modulations caused by Rabi oscillations. Therefore, we implemented two different filter techniques, DOwnsampling by SEparation of CEST spectrum into two parts (DOSE) and time domain (TD)‐based filtering, to correct for these signal corruptions, allowing a reliable quantification of glucose‐weighted CEST (glucoCEST) MRI contrast. In our study, cw CEST measurements were performed on a 9.4‐T small animal BioSpec system using CEST pulses in the range of 10 to 200 ms. Experimental dependencies of Rabi oscillations on key MRI parameters were validated by Bloch–McConnell (BM) simulations. Filter efficiency was explored in a glucose concentration series as well as in the myocardium of healthy mice (n = 8), and glucoCEST contrast was subsequently quantified. The experimental results showed that the impact of Rabi oscillations on CEST spectra increased with decreasing CEST pulse length, optimized B0 homogeneity, and shorter T2 relaxation time, in accordance with results from BM simulations. Both investigated filter techniques reduced these signal modulations significantly, with DOSE filtering preserving the amplitude and TD filtering the spectral information of CEST data more accurately. Upon filter application, a significant decrease in glucoCEST contrast in the myocardium of healthy mice was observed after glucose infusion (pTD = 0.0079, pDOSE = 0.0044). To conclude, this study offers comprehensive experimental insights into Rabi oscillations within CEST MRI data along with methodological considerations that could be further advanced into a robust and precise cardiac cw CEST protocol by integrating DOSE and TD filtering into the standard CEST analysis pipeline. Quantum-state manipulation through coherent interaction with a radiation field is a fundamental process with broad implications in quantum optics and quantum information processing. However, current quantum control methods are limited by their operation at Rabi frequencies below the gigahertz range, which restricts their applicability to systems with long coherence times. To overcome this limitation, alternative approaches utilizing ultrafast driving lasers have garnered great interest. In this work, we demonstrate two-photon Rabi oscillations in the excited states of argon operating at terahertz frequencies driven by ultrafast laser pulses. Leveraging quantum-path interferometry, we are able to measure and manipulate both the amplitudes and phases of the transition dipoles by exploiting the intensity and polarization state of the driving laser. This precise control enables femtosecond population transfer and coherent accumulation of geometric phase. Our findings provide valuable insights into the all-optical manipulation of extreme-ultraviolet radiations and demonstrate the possibility of ultrafast quantum control through interferometric multiphoton transitions. Quantum control with coherent radiation fields typically operate at Rabi frequencies below the GHz, limiting the applicability of this scheme to systems with long coherence times. Solid state single-photon sources with high brightness and long coherence time are promising qubit candidates for modern quantum technology. To prevent decoherence processes and preserve the integrity of the qubits, decoupling the emitters from their surrounding environment is essential. To this end, interfacing single photon emitters (SPEs) with high-finesse cavities is required, especially in the strong coupling regime, when the interaction between emitters can be mediated by cavity fields. However, achieving strong coupling at elevated temperatures is challenging due to competing incoherent processes. Here, we address this long-standing problem by using a quantum system, which comprises a class of SPEs in hexagonal boron nitride and a dielectric cavity based on bound states in the continuum (BIC). We experimentally demonstrate, at room temperature, strong coupling of the system with a large Rabi splitting of ~4 meV thanks to the combination of the narrow linewidth and large oscillator strength of the emitters and the efficient photon trapping of the BIC cavity. Our findings unveil opportunities to advance the fundamental understanding of quantum dynamical system in strong coupling regime and to realise scalable quantum devices capable of operating at room temperature. We demonstrate control and readout of a superconducting artificial atom based on a transmon qubit using a compact lumped-element resonator. The resonator consists of a parallel-plate capacitor with a wire geometric inductor. The footprint of the resonators is about 200 × 200 μm2, which is similar to the standard transmon size and one or two orders of magnitude more compact in the occupied area compared to coplanar waveguide resonators. We observe coherent Rabi oscillations and obtain time-domain properties of the transmon. With the aim of creating Cu(II) spin qubits in a rigid metal–organic framework (MOF), this work demonstrates a doping of 5 %, 2 %, 1 %, and 0.1 % mol of Cu(II) ions into a perovskite‐type MOF [CH6N3][ZnII(HCOO)3]. The presence of dopant Cu(II) sites are confirmed with anisotropic g‐factors (gx=2.07, gy=2.12, and gz=2.44) in the S=1/2 system by experimentally and theoretically. Magnetic dynamics indicate the occurrence of a slow magnetic relaxation via the direct and Raman processes under an applied field, with a relaxation time (τ) of 3.5 ms (5 % Cu), 9.2 ms (2 % Cu), and 15 ms (1 % Cu) at 1.8 K. Furthermore, pulse‐ESR spectroscopy reveals spin qubit properties with a spin‐spin relaxation (phase memory) time (T2) of 0.21 μs (2 %Cu), 0.39 μs (1 %Cu), and 3.0 μs (0.1 %Cu) at 10 K as well as Rabi oscillation between MS=±1/2 spin sublevels. T2 above microsecond is achieved for the first time in the Cu(II)‐doped MOFs. It can be observed at submicrosecond around 50 K. These spin relaxations are very sensitive to the magnetic dipole interactions relating with cross‐relaxation between the Cu(II) sites and can be tuned by adjusting the dopant concentration. Due to the excellent accuracy, the optical lattice clock (OLC) has not only achieved impressive results in frequency measurement but also gradually plays an important role in quantum precision measurement. In this paper, we propose a scheme for measuring gravity at the sub-millimeter scale extracted from the Rabi spectrum based on Super-Bloch oscillations of atoms in the OLC. Our proposal can be realized on the existing OLC platform without significant change. Under realistic existing experimental parameters of 87 S r OLC, we determine the optimal experimental conditions and obtain a sensitivity of 5 μ Gal / Hz in the quantum projection noise limit, which is 50 times better than the previous method at the sub-millimeter scale under the same consideration. Another advantage of our proposal is that it is insensitive to the noise of the lattice laser, which contributes to the major uncertainty of the previous measurement (PRA 86, 033615). Quantum tunneling is the phenomenon that makes superconducting circuits "quantum". Recently, there has been a renewed interest in using quantum tunneling in phase space of a Kerr parametric oscillator as a resource for quantum information processing. Here, we report a direct observation of quantum interference induced by such tunneling and its dynamics in a planar superconducting circuit through Wigner tomography. We experimentally elucidate all essential properties of this quantum interference, such as mapping from Fock states to cat states, a temporal oscillation due to the pump detuning, as well as its characteristic Rabi oscillations and Ramsey fringes. Finally, we perform gate operations as manipulations of the observed quantum interference. Our findings lay the groundwork for further studies on quantum properties of superconducting Kerr parametric oscillators and their use in quantum information technologies. D. A giant electric field on a subwavelength scale is highly beneficial for boosting the light–matter interaction. In this paper, we investigated a hybrid structure consisting of a hemispheric dimer array and a gold film and realized resonant mode coupling of the surface lattice resonance (SLR) and surface plasmon polariton (SPP). Mode coupling is demonstrated by observing anti-crossing in reflection spectra, which corresponds to Rabi splitting. Although the resonance coupling does not enter the strong coupling regime, an improved quality factor (Q~350) and stronger electric field enhancement in the gap region of the dimer (i.e., hot spot) in our hybrid structure are obtained compared to those of the single dimer or dimer array only. Remarkably, the magnitude of electric field enhancement over 500 can be accessible. Such high field enhancement makes our hybridized structure a versatile platform for the realization of ultra-sensitive biosensing, low-threshold nanolasing, low-power nonlinear optical devices, etc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Rabi oscillations express a phenomenon of periodic conversion between two wave states in a coupled system. The finding of Rabi oscillation has led to important applications in many different disciplines. Despite great progress, it is still unknown whether the Rabi oscillating state can be excited in the framework of the higher-order vector vortex regime. Here, we demonstrate in theory that the higher-order vector vortex light beams can be Rabi oscillating during evolution in an optical coupling system. This new classical oscillating state of light is characterized by a topologically shaped wavefront and coupled with spatially varying polarization. The vector vortex state exhibits a harmonic oscillatory property in the resonant and nonresonant conditions but differs greatly in Rabi oscillating frequencies. During Rabi oscillation, the complex state maintains its topology and intensity profile, while its intrinsic polarization pattern varies adiabatically in a periodic manner. We present an interpretation of the Rabi oscillation of the higher-order wave states in terms of the coupled-mode theory. Furthermore, we reveal a symmetry-protected transition between two Rabi oscillating modes, driven by a slowly varying phase mismatch. This Rabi transition has not been reported in either quantum mechanics or any other physical setting. This work advances the research of Rabi oscillation into the higher-order regime, and it may lead to novel applications in classical and quantum optics.

Strong coupling between photons and excitons gives rise to Rabi splitting and hybridized states. These exhibit spectral anticrossing behavior and ultrafast energy exchange, demonstrating remarkable nanophotonic properties and offering exciting application possibilities. Herein, we propose a metasurface based on dimeric MoTe2 nanodisks for flexible control of the strong coupling between quasi-bound states in the continuum (QBIC) and excitons in the near-infrared region. It was found that introducing a gap perturbation transforms the BIC into a QBIC with a stable resonance wavelength, and the gap width can be used to customize its Q-factor. We confirmed that the upper limit of the Q-factor for achieving strong coupling is 500 in this QBIC metasurface system. It is noted that the wavelength of the QBIC mode and exciton peak are stable, so the coupling strength can be easily adjusted using the disturbance parameters. Moreover, significant Rabi splitting and typical anticrossing behavior were observed when the thickness and radius of the dimeric MoTe2 nanodisks were varied. The Rabi splitting value was 170 meV for f 0 = 1.0. This work provides a useful solution for strong coupling in the near-infrared region, which may pave the way toward tunable near-infrared exciton polariton devices with high compatibility. We have investigated the room temperature spin coherence properties of the axial NVkk center in 4H–SiC by pulsed high-frequency electron spin resonance and electron-nuclear double resonance techniques. Our results show a remarkable phase coherence time (TCoherence) of 25.3 μs at room temperature for ensembles of NV centers. We demonstrate precise control over NV defect spins through Rabi oscillations, which exhibit a linear response to microwave power. Additionally, the demonstrated room temperature readout of the intrinsic 14N nuclear spin (I = 1) underscores its potential as a robust nuclear spin memory resource, further positioning NV defects in 4H–SiC as an advanced platform for implementing cutting-edge quantum technologies in semiconductor systems. High-dimensional entanglement offers promising perspectives in quantum information science. Characterizing the dynamics of entanglement in high-dimensional state spaces is a necessary prerequisite towards practical quantum information processing. Here, we study the entanglement dynamics of two three-level giant atoms coupling to a one-dimensional waveguide. Our results imply that the entanglement evolution is enhanced by a large accumulated phase for the time delay with small values, while for the large time delay, the entanglement is robust to the change of the accumulated phase. With regard to the effect of the Rabi frequency and atoms' detuning, the entanglement evolution takes a controversial behavior for initial entangled states coupling to the waveguide or to the classical field. Single molecules trapped in the solid state at liquid helium temperatures are promising quantum emitters for the development of quantum technologies owing to their remarkable photostability and their lifetime-limited optical coherence time of the order of 10 ns. The coherent preparation of their electronic state requires resonant excitation with a Rabi period much shorter than their optical coherence time. Sculpting the optical excitation with sharp edges and a high on–off intensity ratio (∼3 × 105) from a single-frequency laser beam, we demonstrate sub-nanosecond drive of a single dibenzanthanthrene molecule embedded in a naphthalene matrix at 3.2 K, over more than 17 Rabi periods. With pulses tailored for a half-Rabi period, the electronic excited state is prepared with fidelity as high as 0.97. Using single-molecule Ramsey spectroscopy, we prove up to 5 K that the optical coherence lifetime remains at its fundamental upper limit set by twice the excited-state lifetime, making single molecules suitable for quantum bit manipulations under standard cryogen-free cooling technologies. The preparation of correlated multiphoton sources is an important research topic in quantum optics and quantum information science. Here, two‐mode correlated multiphoton bundle emission in a nondegenerate multiphoton Jaynes–Cummings model, which is comprised of a two‐level system coupled with two cavity modes is studied. The two‐level system is driven by a near‐resonant strong laser such that the Mollow regime dominates the physical processes in this system. Under certain resonance conditions, a perfect super‐Rabi oscillation between the zero‐photon state |0⟩a|0⟩b$|0\rangle _{a}|0\rangle _{b}$ and the (n+m$n+m$)‐photon state |n⟩a|m⟩b$|n\rangle _{a}|m\rangle _{b}$ of the two cavity modes can take place. Induced by the photon decay, the two‐mode correlated multiphoton bundle emission occurs in this system. More importantly, the results show that there is an antibunching effect between the strongly‐correlated photon bundles, so that the system behaves as an antibunched (n+m$n+m$)‐photon source. We investigate the response bandwidth of a superheterodyne Rydberg receiver at a room-temperature vapor cell, and present an architecture of multi-channel lasers excitation to increase the response bandwidth and keep sensitivity, simultaneously. Two microwave fields, denoted as a local oscillator (LO) E LO and a signal field E SIG , couple two Rydberg states transition of | 52 D 5 / 2 〉 → | 53 P 3 / 2 〉 . In the presence of the LO field, the frequency difference between two fields can be read out as an intermediate frequency (IF) signal using Rydberg electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) spectroscopy. The bandwidth of the Rydberg receiver is obtained by measuring the output power of IF signal versus the frequency difference between two fields. The bandwidth dependence on the Rabi frequency of excitation lasers is presented, which shows the bandwidth decrease with the probe Rabi frequency, while it is quadratic dependence on the coupling Rabi frequency. Meanwhile, we investigate the effect of probe laser waist on the bandwidth, showing that the bandwidth is inversely proportional to the laser waist. We achieve a maximum response bandwidth of the receiver about 6.8 MHz. Finally, we design an architecture of multi-channel lasers excitation for increasing the response and keeping the sensitivity, simultaneously. In this paper, we investigated the quantum correlation of nano-electro-optomechanical system enhanced by an optical parametric amplifier (OPA) and Coulomb-type interaction. In particular, we consider a hybrid system consisting of a cavity and two charged mechanical oscillators with an OPA, where the optical cavity mode is coupled with a charged mechanical oscillator via radiation pressure, and the two charged mechanical oscillators are coupled through a Coulomb interaction. We use logarithmic negativity to quantify quantum entanglement, and quantum discord to measure the quantumness correlation between the two mechanical oscillators. We characterize quantum steering using the steerability between the two mechanical oscillators. Our results show that the presence of OPA and strong Coulomb coupling enhances the quantum correlations between the two mechanical oscillators. In addition, Coulomb interactions are more prominent in quantum correlations. Besides, in the presence of OPA, the maximum amount of quantum entanglement, quantum steering, and quantum discord were achieved between the two mechanical oscillators is greater than in the absence of OPA. Moreover, a proper phase choice of the optical field driving the OPA enhances quantum correlations under suitable conditions. We obtain quantum entanglement confines quantum steering and quantum discord beyond entanglement. Furthermore, quantum entanglement, quantum steering, and quantum discord decrease rapidly with increasing temperature as a result of decoherence. In addition, quantum discord persists at higher temperature values, although the quantum entanglement between the systems also vanishes completely. Our proposed scheme enhances quantum correlation and proves robust against fluctuations in the bath environment. Dimethylammonium magnesium formate, [ ( C H 3 ) 2 N H 2 ][Mg(HCOO)3] or DMAMgF, is a model used to study high temperature hybrid perovskite-like dielectrics. This compound displays an order–disorder phase transition at about 260 K. Using multifrequency electron spin resonance in continuous wave and pulsed modes, we herein present the quantum dynamics of the Mn2+ ion probe in DMAMgF. In the high temperature paraelectric phase, we observe a large distribution of the zero field splitting that is attributed to the high local disorder and further supported by density functional theory computations. In the low temperature ferroelastic phase, a single structure phase is detected and shown to contain two magnetic structures. The complex electron paramagnetic resonance signals were identified by means of the Rabi oscillation method combined with the crystal field kernel density estimation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
