Search

This study revisits supersymmetric (SUSY) hybrid inflation in light of CMB experiments and swampland conjectures. We first show that if one adds radiative, soft mass, and SUGRA corrections to the scalar potential, supersymmetric hybrid inflation is still consistent with Planck 2018 despite an impression that it does not. Usually, in SUSY hybrid inflation with minimal K\"ahler potential, the gauge symmetry breaking scale $M$ turns out to be ${\cal O}(10^{15})$ GeV, which causes proton decay rate problem. In this study, we present a new parameter space where the proton decay rate problem can be avoided by achieving $M$ of the order of $10^{16}$ GeV with $M_{S}^{2}<$0 and $am_{3/2}>$0. In this scenario, one requires a soft SUSY breaking scale $|M_{S}| \gtrsim 10^{6}$ GeV. Moreover, the tensor to scalar ratio $r$ is in the range $10^{-16}$ to $10^{-6}$, which is quite small. In this case, modified swampland hold, but it is difficult to satisfy trans-Planckian censorship conjecture. For this reason, we also consider non-minimal K\"ahler potential. We fixed spectral index $n_{S}=$0.9665 (central value) of Planck 2018 data and $M=2\times 10^{16}$ GeV and present our calculations. We show the canonical measure of primordial gravity waves $r$ for $M_{S}=$ 1 TeV, $m_{3/2}=$ 1 TeV, $\kappa_{S}<0$ for $\cal{N}=$1 and $\cal{N}=$2, ranges from $10^{-5}$ to $0.01$ which can be observed in Planck and next-generation experiments such as LiteBIRD, Simons Observatory, PRISM, PIXIE,CORE, CMB-S4 and CMB-HD experiments that are gearing up to measure it. In addition to it, we present the parametric space and benchmark points for a non-minimal case which is consistent with modified swampland and trans-Planckian censorship conjectures., Comment: 31 pages, 9 figures

We study the light right-handed slepton bulk regions for dark matter from the Generalized Minimal Supergravity (GmSUGRA) in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). In our comprehensive numerical studies, we show that $\mathcal{R_{\tilde{\phi}}}\gtrsim10\%$ is a conservative criteria to formulate bulk region, where $\mathcal{R_{\tilde{\phi}}}\equiv({m_{\tilde{\phi}}-m_{\tilde{\chi}_1^0}})/{m_{\tilde{\chi}_1^0}}$. For right-handed stau as the Next to the Lightest Supersymmetric Partcile (NLSP), we find a large viable parameter space, consistent with the current LHC constraints, Planck2018 dark matter relic density bounds, and direct bounds on neutralino-nucleons scattering cross-section that naturally supports the right-handed stau bulk regions for dark matter. In particular, the upper bounds on the masses of the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP) neutralino and right-handed stau are about 120.4 GeV and 138 GeV, respectively. This bulk region may be beyond the current LHC reach and could be probed at LUX-ZEPLIN, a next-generation dark matter direct detection experiment, the Future Circular Collider (FCC-ee) at CERN, and the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC). However, the scenario with the right-handed selectron as the NLSP is excluded by the LHC supersymmetry searches., Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures

Because there are a few typos in the supersymmetry breaking sfermion masses and trilinear soft term, regarding the current Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and dark matter searches, we revisit a three-family Pati-Salam model based on intersecting D6-branes in Type IIA string theory on a $\mathbf{T^6/(\Z_2\times \Z_2)}$ orientifold with a realistic phenomenology. We study the viable parameter space and discuss the spectrum consistent with the current LHC Supersymmetry searches along with the dark matter relic density bounds from the Planck 2018 data. For the gluinos and first two generations of sfermions, we observe that the gluino mass is in the range [2, 14] TeV, the squarks mass range is [2, 13] TeV and the sleptons mass is in the range [1, 5] TeV. We achieve the cold dark matter relic density consistent with 5$\sigma$ Planck 2018 bounds via A-funnel and coannihilation channels such as stop-neutralino, stau-neutralino, and chargino-neutralino. Except for a few chargino-neutralino coannihilation solutions, these solutions also satisfy current nucleon-neutralino spin-independent and spin-dependent scattering cross-sections and may be probed by future dark matter searches., Comment: 18 pages, 6 figures

The axino, the supersymmetric partner of axion, is a well-motivated warm/hot dark matter candidate, and provides a natural solution to the relic density problem for the bino-like neutralino if it is the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). With the Generalized Minimal Supergravity, we study such kind of the viable parameter space where the bino-like neutralino is the next-to-LSP (NLSP) and the axino is the LSP. In addition, we consider a scenario where the bino is a long-lived NLSP with the lifetime varying from $10^{-6}$s to $10^{-4}$s, and then propose a new signal searching scheme involving one displaced photon together with the large missing transverse momentum at the HL-LHC. The bino-like lightest neutralino lies under or around 100 GeV and is produced as a decay product of the right-handed sleptons.The relevant axion coupling $f_a$ can be probed up to $\mathcal{O}(10^9)$ GeV at 2$\sigma$ level for the right-handed slepton mass under 300 GeV and the lightest neutralino mass under 100 GeV., Comment: 9 pages, 5 figures

We revisit the bottom and $\tau$ Yukawa coupling unification in supersymmetric $4$-$2$-$2$ model and present for the first time the sbottom-neutralino co-annihilation scenario consistent with the bottom and $\tau$ Yukawa coupling unification. In addition, we show gluino-neutralino, stop-neutralino, stau-neutralino, chargino-neutralino, and A-resonance scenario and show that all such solutions are consistent with existing experimental collider constraints, Planck2018 dark matter relic density bounds as well as direct and indirect bounds on neutralino-nucleons scattering cross sections. We show that in sbottom-neutralino co-annihilation scenario, the sbottom mass is about 2 TeV whereas in the case of gluino-neutralino, stop-neutralino, the gluino mass can be between 1 TeV to 3 TeV and stop mass in the range of 1 TeV to 3.5 TeV. {Moreover, in the case of co-annihilation scenario, the stau and chargino masses can be as heavy as 3.5 TeV,} while the A-resonance solutions are in the range of 0.5 TeV to 3.5 TeV. We anticipate that some part of the parameter space will be accessible in the supersymmetry searches at LHC Run-3 and beyond., Comment: 17 pages, 9 figures

With the grand desert hypothesis, we have proposed to probe the supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories (GUTs) at the future proton-proton (pp) colliders and Hyper-Kamiokande experiment previously. In this paper, we study the supersymmetric GUTs with gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking in details. First, considering the dimension-six proton decay via heavy gauge boson exchange, we point out that we can probe the supersymmetric GUTs with GUT scale $M_{GUT}$ up to $1.778\times 10^{16}$ GeV at the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment. Second, for the supersymmetric GUTs with $M_{GUT} \ge 1.0\times 10^{16}$ GeV and $M_{GUT} \ge 1.2\times 10^{16}$ GeV, we show that the upper bounds on the universal gaugino mass are $7.2$ TeV and 3.5 TeV, respectively, and thus the corresponding upper bounds on gluino mass are 15 TeV and 8 TeV, respectively. Also, we shall study the masses for charginos, neutralinos, squarks, sleptons, and Higgs particles in details. In particular, the supersymmetric GUTs with $M_{GUT} \leq 1.2\times 10^{16}$ GeV can be probed at the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment, and the supersymmetric GUTs with $M_{GUT}\ge 1.2\times 10^{16}$ GeV can be probed at the future 100 TeV pp collider experiments such as the ${\rm FCC}_{\rm hh}$ and SppC via gluino searches. Thus, the supersymmetric GUTs with gravity mediation can be probed by the ${\rm FCC}_{\rm hh}$, SppC, and Hyper-Kamiokande experiments. In our previous study, we have shown that the supersymmetric GUTs with anomaly and gauge mediated supersymmetry breakings are well within the reaches of these experiments. Therefore, our proposal provides the concrete scientific goal for the ${\rm FCC}_{\rm hh}$, SppC, and Hyper-Kamiokande experiments: probing the supersymmetric GUTs., Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, 1 table

We employ the low energy Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) to explore the parameter space associated with $Z$-pole and Higgs-pole solutions. Such parameter spaces can not only saturate the cold dark matter relic density bound within 5$\sigma$ set by the Planck 2018, but also satisfy the other standard collider mass bounds and B-physics bounds. In particular, we show that the right-handed selectron can be light. Thus, we propose a search for the relatively heavier right-handed selectron at the future lepton colliders with the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=240$ GeV and integrated luminosity 3000 $\rm{fb^{-1}}$ via mono-photon channel: $e^{+}_{R} e^{-}_{R}\rightarrow {\tilde \chi_{1}^{0}(bino)}+{\tilde \chi_{1}^{0}(bino)}+{\gamma}$. We show that for the $Z$-pole case the right-handed selectron will be excluded up to 180 GeV and 210 GeV respectively at 3$\sigma$ and 2$\sigma$, while the right-handed selectron will be excluded up to 140 GeV and 180 GeV respectively at 3$\sigma$ and 2$\sigma$ in case of Higgs-pole., Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures

The Fermi-Lab Collaboration has announced the results for the measurement of muon anomalous magnetic moment. Combining with the previous results by the BNL experiment, we have $4.2 \sigma$ deviation from the Standard Model (SM), which strongly implies the new physics around 1 TeV. To explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment naturally, we analyze the corresponding five Feynman diagrams in the Supersymetric SMs (SSMs), and show that the Electroweak Supersymmetry (EWSUSY) is definitely needed. We realize the EWSUSY in the Minimal SSM (MSSM) with Genernalized Mininal Supergravity (GmSUGRA). We find large viable parameter space, which is consistent with all the current experimental constraints. In particular, the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP) neutralino can be at least as heavy as 550 GeV. Most of the viable parameter space can be probed at the future HL-LHC, while we do need the future HE-LHC to probe some viable parameter space. However, it might still be challenge if R-parity is violated., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures

We consider a class of SUSY models in which the MSSM gauge group is supplemented with a gauged $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry and a global $U(1)_{R}$ symmetry. This extension introduces only electrically neutral states, and the new SUSY partners effectively double the number of states in the neutralino sector that now includes a blino (from $B-L$) and singlino from a gauge singlet superfield. If the DM density is saturated by a LSP neutralino, the model yields quite a rich phenomenology depending on the DM composition. The LSP relic density constraint provides a lower bound on the stop and gluino masses of about 3 TeV and 4 TeV respectively, which is testable in the near future collider experiments such as HL-LHC. The chargino mass lies between 0.24 TeV and about 2.0 TeV, which can be tested based on the allowed decay channels. We also find $m_{\tilde{\tau}_{1}}\gtrsim 500$ GeV, and $m_{\tilde{e}},m_{\tilde{\mu}},m_{\tilde{\nu}^{S,P}} \gtrsim 1$ TeV. We identify chargino-neutralino coannihilation processes in the mass region $0.24 \,{\rm TeV} \lesssim m_{\tilde{\chi}_{1}^{0}}\approx m_{\tilde{\chi}_{1}^{\pm}}\lesssim 1.5$ TeV, and also coannihilation processes involving stau, selectron, smuon and sneutrinos for masses around 1 TeV. In addition, $A_{2}$ resonance solutions are found around 1 TeV, and $H_{2}$ and $H_{3}$ resonance solutions are also shown around 0.5 TeV and 1 TeV . Some of the $A_{2}$ resonance solutions with $\tan\beta \gtrsim 20$ may be tested by the $A/H\rightarrow \tau^{+}\tau^{-}$ LHC searches. While the relic density constraint excludes the bino-like DM, it is still possible to realize higgsino, singlino and blino-like DM for various mass scales. We show that all these solutions will be tested in future direct detection experiments such as LUX-Zeplin and Xenon-nT., Comment: 23 pages,4 figures

Gauge coupling unification in the Supersymmetric Standard Models strongly implies the Grand Unified Theories (GUTs). With the grand desert hypothesis, we show that the supersymmetric GUTs can be probed at the future proton-proton (pp) colliders and Hyper-Kamiokande experiment. For the GUTs with the GUT scale $M_{GUT} \le 1.0\times 10^{16}$ GeV, we can probe the dimension-six proton decay via heavy gauge boson exchange at the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment. The null results of the LHC searches have put strong bounds on new physics scenario such as supersymmetry (SUSY). With the latest values of top quark mass and strong coupling, we study the upper bounds on the sfermion masses in Split-SUSY from the observed Higgs boson mass and electroweak (EW) vacuum stability. To be consistent with the observed Higgs mass, we find that the largest value of supersymmetry breaking scales $M_{S}$ for $\tan\beta=2$ and $\tan\beta=4$ are $\mathcal{O} (10^{3}\, {\rm TeV})$ and $\mathcal{O} (10^{1.5}\, {\rm TeV})$ respectively, thus putting an upper bound on the sfermion masses around $10^{3}\, {\rm TeV}$. In addition, the Higgs quartic coupling becomes negative at much lower scale than the Standard Model (SM), and we extract the upper bound of $\mathcal{O}(10^{4}\, {\rm TeV})$ on the sfermion masses from EW vacuum stability. Therefore, we obtain the PeV-Scale Split-SUSY. The key point is the extra contributions to the Renormalization Group Equation (RGE) running from the couplings among Higgs boson, Higgsinos, and gauginos. We briefly comment on the lifetime of gluinos in our study and compare it with current LHC observations. Additionally, we comment on the prospects of discovery of prompt gluinos in a 100 TeV proton-propton collider., Comment: 14 pages, 3 figures

We consider a class of $b-\tau$ Yukawa unified Supersymmetric (SUSY) $SU(5)$ GUTs, in which the asymptotic gaugino $M_{1,2,3}$ masses are generated through a combination of gravity and mirage mediated supersymmetry breaking. Due to the contributions from mirage mediation, $M_{3}$ is always lighter than M_{1} and M_{2}, and consequently for the range of asymptotic masses considered, the gluino mass at low scale is bounded from above at about 4 TeV. We realize two different regions, one in which the MSSM $\mu-$term is less than about 3 TeV. This region yields a stop mass up to 5 TeV, and the stop mass is nearly degenerate with the LSP neutralino for mass around 0.8 to 1.7 TeV. A stau mass can be realized up to about 5 TeV, and the stau mass is approximately degenerate with the LSP neutralino for mass around 2 to 3 TeV. In addition, an A-funnel solution $m_{A}$ with mass $\sim 1.4-1.8$ TeV is realized. A second region, on the other hand, arises for gluino around 1.1 TeV. The $\mu-$term is rather large than 20 TeV, and the LSP neutralino is a bino-wino mixture. The gluino mass ($\sim 0.8-1.2$ TeV) is nearly degenerate with the LSP neutralino mass and hence, the gluino-neutralino coannihilation processes play a role in reducing the relic abundance of LSP neutralino down to ranges allowed by the current WMAP measurements. The two regions above can be distinguished through the direct detection experiments. The first region with relatively low $\mu$ values yields Higgsino-like DM, whose scattering on the nucleus typically has a large cross-section. We find that such solutions are still allowed by the current results from the LUX experiment, and they will be severely tested by the LUX-Zeplin experiment. The second region contains bino-wino DM whose scattering cross-section is relatively low. These solutions are harder to rule out in the foreseeable future., Comment: 19 pages, 9 figures, 1 table

We revisit a three-family Pati-Salam model with a realistic phenomenology from intersecting D6-branes in Type IIA string theory compactified on a $\mathbf{T}^6/(\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2)$ orientifold, and study its naturalness in view of the current LHC and dark matter searches. We discuss spectrum and phenomenological features of this scenario demanding fine tuning better than 1\%. This requirement restricts the lightest neutralino to have mass less than about 600 GeV. We observe that the viable parameter space is tightly constrained by the requirements of naturalness and consistency with the observed dark matter relic density, so that it is fully testable at current and future dark matter searches, unless a non-thermal production mechanism of dark matter is at work. We find that $Z$-resonance, $h$-resonance, $A$-funnel and light stau/stop-neutralino coannihilation solutions are consistent with current LHC and dark matter constraints while the "well-tempered" neutralino scenario is ruled out in our model. Moreover, we observe that only Bino, Higgsinos, right-handed staus and stops can have mass below 1 TeV., Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures, 1 table

We study natural supersymmetry in the Generalized Minimal Supergravity (GmSUGRA). For the parameter space with low energy electroweak fine-tuning measures less than 50, we are left with only the $Z$-pole, Higgs-pole and Higgsino LSP scenarios for dark matter (DM). We perform the focused scans for such parameter space and find that it satisfies various phenomenological constraints and is compatible with the current direct detection bound on neutralino DM reported by the LUX experiment. Such parameter space also has solutions with correct DM relic density besides the solutions with DM relic density smaller or larger than 5$\sigma$ WMAP9 bounds. We present five benchmark points as examples. In these benchmark points, gluino and the first two generations of squarks are heavier than 2 TeV, stop $\tilde t_{1,2}$ are in the mass range $[1,2]$ TeV, while sleptons are lighter than 1 TeV. Some part of the parameter space can explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment within 3$\sigma$ as well. We also perform the collider study of such solutions by implementing and comparing with relevant studies done by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. We find that the points with Higgsino dominant $\tilde{\chi}_2^0/\tilde{\chi_1}^\pm$ mass up to $300$ GeV are excluded in $Z$-pole scenario while for Higgs-pole scenario, the points with $\tilde{\chi}_2^0$ mass up to $460$ GeV are excluded. We also notice that the Higgsino LSP points in our present scans are beyond the reach of present LHC searches. Next, we show that for both the $Z$-pole and Higgs-pole scenarios, the points with electroweak fine-tuning measure around 20 do still survive., Comment: 22 pages, 5 figures

We discuss a class of models with gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking characterized by a non-unified messenger sector inducing non-standard gaugino mass ratios, as well as by additional contributions to the soft mass terms from a matter-messenger coupling. The well-known effect of this coupling is to generate A-terms at one-loop level, hence raising the Higgs mass without relying on super-heavy stops. At the same time, a hierarchy between Wino and gluino masses, as induced by the non-unified messenger fields, can greatly lower the radiative corrections to the Higgs soft mass term driven by the high-energy parameters, thus reducing the fine tuning. We search for models with low fine tuning within this scenario, and we discuss the spectrum, collider phenomenology, constraints, and prospects of the found solutions. We find that some setups are accessible or already excluded by searches at the Large Hadron Collider, and all our scenarios with a tuning better than about 2\% can be tested at the International Linear Collider., Comment: 19 pages, 6 figures, 1 table. v2: version accepted for publication in PRD

We study models of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking with messengers that do not belong to complete representations of grand-unified gauge groups. We show that certain setups characterized by heavy Wino can greatly improve the fine tuning with respect to models with unified messengers, such as minimal gauge mediation. The typical models with low tuning feature multi-TeV superparticles, with the exception of the Higgsinos and possibly Bino and right-handed sleptons. As a consequence, the absence of signals for supersymmetry at the LHC is trivially accommodated in our framework. On the other hand, testing these models will be challenging at the LHC. We finally show that the gravitino can be a consistent candidate for cold dark matter, provided a rather low reheating temperature, if a standard thermal history of the universe is assumed., Comment: 23 pages, 5 figures. v2: added references, minor modifications to the text; version accepted for publication in PRD

The ATLAS and CMS Collaborations of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have reported an excess of events in diphoton channel with invariant mass of about 750 GeV. With low energy supersymmetry breaking, we systematically consider the sgoldstino scalar $S$ as the new resonance, which is a linear combination of the CP-even scalar $s$ and CP-odd pseudoscalar $a$. Because we show that $s$ and $a$ can be degenerated or have large mass splitting, we consider two cases for all the following three scenarios: (1) Single resonance. $s$ is the 750 GeV resonance decays to a pair of 1 GeV pseudoscalar $a$. With suitable decay length, these two $a$ decay into collimated pair of photons which cannot be distinguished at the LHC and may appear as diphotons instead of four photons. (2) Twin resonances. $m_{s}\approx m_{a}$ with a mass difference of about 40 GeV and both $s$ and $a$ decay into diphoton pairs. For productions, we consider three scenarios: (I) vector boson fusion; (II) gluon gluon fusion; (III) $q{\bar q}$ pair production. In all these scenarios with two kinds of resonances, we find the parameter space that satisfies the diphoton production cross section from 3 to 13 ${\rm fb}$ and all the other experimental constraints. And we address the decay width as well. In particular, in the third scenario, we observe that the production cross section is small but the decay width of $s$ or $a$ can be from 40 to 60 GeV., Comment: 17 pages, 4 figures

We use the Higgs coupling and the muon anomalous magnetic moment measurements to constrain the parameter space of the natural supersymmetry (SUSY) in the Generalized Minimal Supergravity (GmSUGRA) model. We scan the parameter space of the GmSUGRA model with small electroweak fine-tuning measure ($\Delta_{\rm EW} \leq 100$). The parameter space after applying various sparticle mass bounds, Higgs mass bounds, B-physics bounds, the muon magnetic moment constraint, and the Higgs coupling constraint from measurements at HL-LHC, ILC, and CEPC, is shown in the planes of various interesting model parameters and sparticle masses. Our study indicates that the Higgs coupling and muon anomalous magnetic moment measurements can constrain the parameter space effectively. It is shown that $\Delta_{\rm EW}\sim$ 30, consistence with all constraints, and having supersymmetric contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment within 1$\sigma$ can be achieved. The precision of $k_b$ and $k_{\tau}$ measurements at CEPC can bound $m_A$ to be above 1.2 TeV and 1.1 TeV respectively. The combination of the Higgs coupling measurement and muon anomalous magnetic moment measurement constrain $\tilde{e}_R$ mass to be in the range from 0.6 TeV to 2 TeV. The range of both $\tilde{e}_L$ and $\tilde{\nu}_e$ masses is 0.4 TeV $\sim$ 1.2 TeV. In all cases, the $\tilde{\chi}_1^0$ mass needs to be small (mostly $\leq$ 400 GeV). The comparison of bounds in the $\tan\beta - m_A$ plane shows that the Higgs coupling measurement is complementary to the direct collider searches for heavy Higgs when constraining the natural SUSY. Recently, an excess of events in diphoton channel with invariant mass of about 750 GeV has been reported by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. Considering it as a tantalizing hint for new physics beyond the Standard Model (SM), we propose a simple extension of the SM with an additional doublet Higgs $H^{'}$ and a singlet $s$. We consider the neutral component $H^{\prime }_0$ of $H'$ as the 750 GeV resonance, and assume that $s$ is lighter than 2.6 GeV. In particular, $H^{\prime }_0$ can be produced at tree level via $q{\bar q}$ production, and decay into a pair of $s$ at tree level. And then $s$ can decay into a pair of collimated photons, which cannot be distinguished at the LHC. We show that the diphoton production cross section can be from 3 to 13 ${\rm fb}$, the decay width of $H^{\prime }_0$ can be from 30 to 60 GeV, and all the current experimental constraints including dijet constraint can be satisfied., Comment: 14 pages, 7 figures

We briefly review the super-natural supersymmetry (SUSY), which provides a most promising solution to the SUSY electroweak fine-tuning problem. In particular, we address its subtle issues as well. Unlike the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model (MSSM), the Next to MSSM (NMSSM) can be scale invariant and has no mass parameter in its Lagrangian before SUSY and gauge symmetry breakings. Therefore, the NMSSM is a perfect framework for super-natural SUSY. To give the SUSY breaking soft mass to the singlet, we consider the moduli and dilaton dominant SUSY breaking scenarios in M-theory on $S^1/Z_2$. In these scenarios, SUSY is broken by one and only one $F$-term of moduli or dilaton, and the SUSY breaking soft terms can be determined via the K\"ahler potential and superpotential from Calabi-Yau compactification of M-theory on $S^1/Z_2$. Thus, as predicted by super-natural SUSY, the SUSY electroweak fine-tuning measure is of unity order. In the moduli dominant SUSY breaking scenario, the right-handed sleptons are relatively light around 1 TeV, stau can be even as light as 580 GeV and degenerate with the lightest neutralino, chargino masses are larger than 1 TeV, the light stop masses are around 2 TeV or larger, the first two-generation squark masses are about 3 TeV or larger, and gluinos are heavier than squarks. In the dilaton dominant SUSY breaking scenario, the qualitative picture remain the same but we have heavier spectra as compared to moduli dominant SUSY breaking scenario. In addition to it, we have Higgs $H_{2}/A_{1}$-resonance solutions for dark matter (DM). In both scenarios, the minimal value of DM relic density is about 0.2. To obtain the observed DM relic density, we can consider the dilution effect from supercritical string cosmology or introduce the axino as the lightest supersymmetric particle., Comment: 35 pages, 12 figures and two tables

We point out that the electroweak fine-tuning problem in the supersymmetric Standard Models (SSMs) is mainly due to the high energy definition of the fine-tuning measure. We propose super-natural supersymmetry which has an order one high energy fine-tuning measure automatically. The key point is that all the mass parameters in the SSMs arise from a single supersymmetry breaking parameter. In this paper, we show that there is no supersymmetry electroweak fine-tuning problem explicitly in the Minimal SSM (MSSM) with no-scale supergravity and Giudice-Masiero (GM) mechanism. We demonstrate that the $Z$-boson mass, the supersymmteric Higgs mixing parameter $\mu$ at the unification scale, and the sparticle spectrum can be given as functions of the universal gaugino mass $M_{1/2}$. Because the light stau is the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in the no-scale MSSM, to preserve $R$ parity, we introduce a non-thermally generated axino as the LSP dark matter candidate. We estimate the lifetime of the light stau by calculating its 2-body and 3-body decays to the LSP axino for several values of axion decay constant $f_a$, and find that the light stau has a lifetime $\tau_{\tilde \tau_1}$ in $[10^{-4},100]$ s for an $f_a$ range $[10^{9},10^{12}]$ GeV. We show that our next to the LSP stau solutions are consistent with all the current experimental constraints, including the sparticle mass bounds, B-physics bounds, Higgs mass, cosmological bounds, and the bounds on long-lived charge particles at the LHC., Comment: 32 pages,10 figures and 1 table

We present a study of b-tau Yukawa unified supersymmetric SU(4)_c x SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R model (with mu > 0), which predicts the existence of gluino - neutralino and stop - neutralino coannihilation scenarios compatible with the desired relic LSP neutralino dark matter abundance and other collider constraints. The NLSP gluino or NLSP stop masses vary between 400 GeV to ~ 1 TeV. The NLSP gluinos will be accessible at the 14 TeV LHC, while we hope that the NSLP stop solutions will be probed in future LHC searches. We also identify regions of the parameter space in which the gluino and the lighter stop are closely degenerate in mass, interchangeably playing the role of NLSP and NNLSP. We also update a previous study of t-b-tau Yukawa unification and show that NLSP gluino of mass ~ 1 TeV, with a mass difference between the gluino and neutralino of less than 80 GeV, can be realized consistent with the current collider and astrophysical constraints. Considering the Generalized Minimal Supergravity Model (GmSUGRA) in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), we study the Electroweak Supersymmetry (EWSUSY), where the squarks and/or gluino are heavy around a few TeVs while the sleptons, sneutrinos, Bino, Winos, and/or Higgsinos are light within one TeV. We resolves the $(g_{\mu}-2)/2$ discrepancy for the muon anomalous magnetic moment in the Standard Model (SM) successfully and identifies a parameter space where such solutions also have the electroweak fine-tuning measures $\Delta_{EW}~16.5$ (6$\%$) and $\Delta_{EW}~25$ (4$\%$) without and with the WMAP bounds, respectively. We find that the allowed mass ranges consistent within 3$\sigma$ of the $g-2$ discrepancy for the lightest neutralino, charginos, stau, stau neutrinos, and first two-family sleptons are $[44,390]$ GeV, $[100,700]$ GeV, $[100,700]$, and $[52,700]$ GeV, respectively. Moreover, our solutions satisfy the latest bounds reported by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations on electroweakinos and sleptons. The colored sparticles such as light stop, gluinos, and the first two-generation squark masses have been found in the mass ranges of $[500, 3000]$ GeV,[1300, 4300] GeV, and $[1800, 4200]$ GeV, respectively. To obtain the observed dark matter relic density for the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP) neutralino, we have the bino-wino, LSP neutralino-stau, and LSP neutralino-tau sneutrinos coannihilation scenarios, and the resonance solutions such as $A$-pole, Higgs-pole, and $Z$-pole. We identify the higgsino-like LSP neutralino and display its spin-independent and spin-dependent cross sections with nucleons. We present a class of supersymmetric models in which symmetry considerations alone dictate the form of the soft SUSY breaking Lagrangian. We develop a class of minimal models, denoted as sMSSM -- for flavor symmetry-based minimal supersymmetric standard model, which respect a grand unified symmetry such as SO(10) and a non-Abelian flavor symmetry H which suppresses SUSY-induced flavor violation. Explicit examples are constructed with the flavor symmetry being gauged SU(2)_H and SO(3)_H with the three families transforming as 2 + 1 and 3 representations respectively. A simple solution is found in the case of SU(2)_H for suppressing the flavor violating D--terms based on an exchange symmetry. Explicit models based on SO(3)_H without the D--term problem are developed. In addition, models based on discrete non-Abelian flavor groups are presented which are automatically free from D--term issues. The permutation group S_3 with a 2 + 1 family assignment, as well as the tetrahedral group A_4 with a 3 assignment are studied. In all cases, a simple solution to the SUSY CP problem is found, based on spontaneous CP violation leading to a complex quark mixing matrix. We develop the phenomenology of the resulting sMSSM, which is controlled by seven soft SUSY breaking parameters for both the 2 + 1 assignment and the 3 assignment of fermion families. These models are special cases of the phenomenological MSSM (pMSSM), but with symmetry restrictions. We discuss the parameter space of sMSSM compatible with LHC searches, B physics constraints and dark matter relic abundance. Fine-tuning in these models is relatively mild, since all SUSY particles can have masses below about 3 TeV., Comment: 31 pages, 6 figures, 2 tables

With the Higgs boson mass around 125 GeV and the LHC supersymmetry search constraints, we revisit a three-family Pati-Salam model from intersecting D6-branes in Type IIA string theory on the $\mathbf{T^6/(\Z_2 \times \Z_2)}$ orientifold which has a realistic phenomenology. We systematically scan the parameter space for $\mu<0$ and $\mu>0$, and find that the gravitino mass is generically heavier than about 2 TeV for both cases due to the Higgs mass low bound 123 GeV. In particular, we identify a region of parameter space with the electroweak fine-tuning as small as $\Delta_{EW} \sim$ 24-32 (3-4$\%$). In the viable parameter space which is consistent with all the current constraints, the mass ranges for gluino, the first two-generation squarks and sleptons are respectively $[3, ~18]$ TeV, $[3, ~16]$ TeV, and $[2, ~7]$ TeV. For the third-generation sfermions, the light stop satisfying $5\sigma$ WMAP bounds via neutralino-stop coannihilation has mass from 0.5 to 1.2 TeV, and the light stau can be as light as 800 GeV. We also show various coannihilation and resonance scenarios through which the observed dark matter relic density is achieved. Interestingly, the certain portions of parameter space has excellent $t$-$b$-$\tau$ and $b$-$\tau$ Yukawa coupling unification. Three regions of parameter space are highlighted as well where the dominant component of the lightest neutralino is a bino, wino or higgsino. We discuss various scenarios in which such solutions may avoid recent astrophysical bounds in case if they satisfy or above observed relic density bounds. Prospects of finding higgsino-like neutralino in direct and indirect searches are also studied. We study the implications for bounds on the top quark pole mass m_t in models with low scale supersymmetry following the discovery of the Standard Model-like Higgs boson. In the minimal supersymmetric standard model, we find that m_t >= 164 GeV, if the light CP even Higgs boson mass m_h = 125 +-2 GeV. We also explore the top quark and Higgs boson masses in two classes of supersymmetric SO(10) models with t-b-tau Yukawa coupling unification at M_GUT. In particular, assuming SO(10) compatible non-universal gaugino masses, setting m_h = 125 GeV and requiring 5% or better Yukawa unification, we obtain the result 172 GeV <= m_t <= 175 GeV. Conversely, demanding 5% or better t-b-tau Yukawa unification and setting m_t=173.2 GeV, the Higgs boson mass is predicted to lie in the range 122 GeV <= m_h <= 126 GeV., Comment: 16 pages, 7 figures

The discovery of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has a great impact on the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM). In the context of the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) and its extension with non-universal masses for the MSSM Higgs doublets (NUHM2), sparticles with masses $ > 1$ TeV are necessary to reproduce the observed Higgs boson mass of 125-126 GeV. On the other hand, there appears to be a significant amount of discrepancy between the measured muon $g-2$ and the Standard Model prediction. A successful explanation of this discrepancy in the MSSM requires new contributions involving relatively light sparticles with masses $ < 1$ TeV. In this paper, we attempt to accommodate the two conflicting requirements in an SU(5) inspired extension of the CMSSM. We assign non-universal but flavor blind soft supersymmetry breaking masses to the scalar components in $\bar 5$ and 10 matter supermultiplets. The two MSSM Higgs doublets in the 5, $\bar5$ representations of SU(5) are also assigned unequal soft mass$^2$ at $M_{GUT}$. We identify parameter regions which can simultaneously accommodate the observed Higgs boson mass and the muon $g-2$ data, and which are compatible with other phenomenological constraints such as neutralino dark matter relic abundance and rare B-meson decays. Supersymmetric models with t-b-tau Yukawa coupling unification and unified gaugino masses at the GUT scale with mu >0 show a mild preference for light gluino masses \lesssim 500 GeV. This range of gluino mass is now essentially ruled out by LHC searches. We show that a heavier gluino mass ~ 0.5-3 TeV can also be compatible with excellent t-b-tau Yukawa coupling unification in supersymmetric models with non-universal Higgs masses (NUHM2). The gluino in such models is the lightest colored sparticle, while the squark sector displays an inverted mass hierarchy with m_{\tilde q} ~ 5-20 TeV. We present some LHC testable benchmark points for which the lightest Higgs boson mass ~ 125 GeV. We also discuss LHC signatures of Yukawa-unified models with heavier gluinos. We expect gluino pair production followed by decay to final states containing four b-jets plus four W-bosons plus missing E_T to occur at possibly observable rates at LHC.

Supersymmetric grand unified models based on the gauge group SU(5) often require in addition to gauge coupling unification, the unification of b-quark and $\tau$-lepton Yukawa couplings. We examine SU(5) SUSY GUT parameter space under the condition of $b-\tau$ Yukawa coupling unification using 2-loop MSSM RGEs including full 1-loop threshold effects. The Yukawa-unified solutions break down into two classes. Solutions with low tan\beta ~3-11 are characterized by gluino mass ~1-4 TeV and squark mass ~1-5 TeV. Many of these solutions would be beyond LHC reach, although they contain a light Higgs scalar with mass <123 GeV and so may be excluded should the LHC Higgs hint persist. The second class of solutions occurs at large tan\beta ~35-60, and are a subset of $t-b-\tau$ unified solutions. Constraining only $b-\tau$ unification to ~5% favors a rather light gluino with mass ~0.5-2 TeV, which should ultimately be accessible to LHC searches. While our $b-\tau$ unified solutions can be consistent with a picture of neutralino-only cold dark matter, invoking additional moduli or Peccei-Quinn superfields can allow for all of our Yukawa-unified solutions to be consistent with the measured dark matter abundance., Comment: 19 pages, 5 figures, 1 table, PDFLateX

We identify within the SU(5) framework the minimum number of soft supersymmetry breaking parameters which can yield a bottom squrak (sbottom) as the next to lightest supersymmetric particle. We focus in particular on the neutralino-sbottom coannihilation scenario which gives rise to the desired neutralino dark matter relic density. We find solutions in which the sbottom mass is greater than or of order 210 GeV, while the gluino and the first two family squarks are heavier than 1 TeV. We examine the low scale particle spectroscopy of an SO(10) (or equivalently SU(5)) inspired supersymmetric model with non-universal gaugino masses. The model assumes minimal supergravity and contains the same number of fundamental parameters as the constrained minimal supersymmetric model (CMSSM.) Realistic solutions compatible with dark matter and other applicable experimental constraints are shown to exist for both positive and negative signs of the MSSM parameter mu. We show that b-tau Yukawa unification can be successfully implemented in the constrained minimal supersymmetric model and it yields the stop co-annihilation scenario.The lightest supersymmetric particle is a bino-like dark matter neutralino, which is accompanied by a 10-20% heavier stop of mass ~ 100-330 GeV. We explore the Higgs and sparticle spectroscopy of supersymmetric SU(4)_c x SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R models in which the three MSSM gauge couplings and third family (t-b-tau) Yukawa couplings are all unified at M_GUT. This class of models can be obtained via compactification of a higher dimensional theory. Allowing for opposite sign gaugino masses and varying m_t within 1 sigma of its current central value yields a variety of gauge-Yukawa unification as well as WMAP compatible neutralino dark matter solutions. We show compatibility with all known experimental constraints of t-b-tau Yukawa coupling unification in supersymmetric SU(4)_c x SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R which has non-universal gaugino masses and the MSSM parameter mu < 0. In particular, the relic neutralino abundance satisfies the WMAP bounds and Delta (g-2)_mu is in good agreement with the observations. We identify benchmark points for the sparticle spectra which can be tested at the LHC, including those associated with gluino and stau coannihilation channels, mixed bino-Higgsino state and the A-funnel region. We investigate neutralino dark matter in supersymmetric flipped SU(5), focusing on candidates with masses of order 30 - 150 GeV and spin independent cross sections that are consistent with the most recent CDMS II results. We assume gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking and restrict the magnitude of the soft supersymmetry breaking mass parameters to 1 TeV or less.
