Abstract

Refractory materials are an important pillar for the stable development of the high-temperature industry. A large amount of waste refractories needs to be further disposed of every year, so it is of great significance to carry out research on the recycling of used refractories. In this work, lightweight composite aggregate was prepared by using discarded Al2O3-ZrO2-C refractories as the main raw material, and the performance of the prepared lightweight aggregate was improved by adjusting the calcination temperature and introducing light calcined magnesia additives. The results showed that the cold compressive strength and thermal shock resistance of the lightweight aggregates were significantly improved with increasing calcination temperature. Moreover, the introduction of light calcined magnesia can effectively improve the apparent porosity, cold compressive strength, and thermal shock resistance of the prepared lightweight aggregates at the calcination temperature of 1400 °C. Consequently, this work provides a useful reference for the resource utilization of used refractories, while the prepared lightweight aggregates are expected to be applied in the field of high-temperature insulation. Abstract

In the present study, we deal with the space–time fractional KdV–MKdV equation and the space–time fractional Konopelchenko–Dubrovsky equation in the sense of the conformable fractional derivative. By means of the extend (G′G)\left(\tfrac{G^{\prime} }{G}\right)-expansion method, many exact solutions are obtained, which include hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions and rational solutions. The results show that the extend (G′G)\left(\tfrac{G^{\prime} }{G}\right)-expansion method is an efficient technique for solving nonlinear fractional partial equations. We also provide some graphical representations to demonstrate the physical features of the obtained solutions.

Abstract

Tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite (TTG) gneiss represents a significant portion of the Archean continental crust. Understanding the origin and compositional changes of TTG gneiss is crucial for unraveling the evolution of continental crust and the onset of global plate tectonics on Earth. The formation of Archean TTG gneiss has been attributed to partial melting of hydrous basalts, although the specific geodynamic setting remains uncertain. In this study, we focus on the ~2.7 Ga Sushui TTG gneiss from the Zhongtiao Mountains. To investigate the genesis of the Sushui TTG gneiss, we selected metabasites from the southern margin of the North China Craton (NCC) as the source rocks for quantitative forward modeling simulations of TTG magmas. Our findings show that the formation conditions of the ~2.7 Ga Sushui TTG gneiss in the Zhongtiao Mountains are consistent with a temperature gradient of 900°C/GPa and a 25%–30% degree of hydrous melting. The results indicate that the formation of the Sushui TTG gneiss occurred in a warm subduction environment, suggesting that plate tectonics might have been initiated through warm subduction mechanisms in the NCC at ~2.7 Ga. Abstract

Introduction: Recently, deep learning based methods have become an important approach to the accurate analysis of medical images. Methods and Materials: This paper provides a comprehensive survey of the most important deep learning based methods that have been developed for medical image processing. A number of important contributions made in the last five years are summarized and surveyed. Results: Specifically, deep learning-based algorithms developed for image segmentation, image classification, registration, object detection and other important problems are reviewed. Conclusion: In addition, an overview of challenges that currently exist in the field and potential directions for future research is provided at the end of the survey.
