This study was intended to assess the effect of intensive health care plus vitamin D administration on the growth, development, and nutritional status of young children. Totally, 131 young children who were admitted to Shiyan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were included and assigned via the random number table method at a ratio of 1 : 1 : 1 to receive either vitamin D administration (vitamin D group, n = 42), intensive health care (IHC) (IHC group, n = 44), or vitamin D administration plus intensive health care (combination group, n = 45). All children received a normal diet and routine care. After the intervention, all children showed robust improvement in their height, weight, neuropsychological development, and nutritional status, in which the combination therapy was associated with better outcomes in terms of physical development, neuropsychological development, and nutritional status, and a higher serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25-(OH)D3) level of the children versus monotherapy. Children receiving combined therapy had a significantly lower incidence of nutritional disorders than those receiving single therapy. Intensive health care plus vitamin D benefits the growth and development of young children and reduces the incidence of nutritional disorders in children.

Microwave absorption (MA) materials have been captured extensive attentions due to the serious electromagnetic (EM) pollution. Numerous interests focus on the MA performances of core-shell structural composites with magnetic constituents as cores and dielectric constituents as shells, which inevitably suppressed the magnetic coupling causing the decrease of magnetic loss to some extent. Herein, the core-shell structural carbon (C) microsphere/magnetic metal composites were fabricated through the combination of an electrostatic assembly approach and subsequent in-situ reduction reaction. The complex permittivity and permeability of core-shell C@magnetic metal composite system can be effective adjusted by the constituent and microstructure of shells. Thanks to the distinct magnetic coupling from the subtle designed structures and the promotion of the magnetic-dielectric synergy, the C@magnetic metal composite exhibited enhanced MA properties. The optimal reflection loss (RL) of C@Ni composite was -54.1 dB with a thickness of 3.4 mm, meanwhile the effective absorbing band could reach over 5.5 GHz at only a 1.8 mm thickness. Broad absorption bandwidth with RL below -10 dB could achieve 6.0 GHz and 6.7 GHz for C@Co and C@NiCo composites with a thin 2.1 mm thickness, respectively. Our exciting findings might lead a guide on the novel structure design for the functional core-shell structural composites used for microwave absorption.

The Baiyinnuo’er deposit in northern China is located in the south section of the Great Xing’an Range, and it is the largest skarn Zn–Pb deposit in the region. Skarn and Zn–Pb orebodies mainly occur between the different units of the Permian Huanggangliang Formation, or within the contact zone between the intrusive rocks and the marble. Although Baiyinnuo’er has been well investigated previously, the timing of the Zn–Pb mineralization is still controversial, largely due to the lack of appropriate ore or alteration minerals that could be directly used for isotopic dating. In this study, we report the results of Rb–Sr isotopic analysis for sphalerite and pyrite samples from the Baiyinnuo’er orebodies, which yielded two isochron ages of 137.4 ± 3.4 and 140.0 ± 7.8 Ma, respectively, constraining the Zn–Pb mineralization time of the deposit as the Early Cretaceous. The data are also consistent with the age of the granitoids in the mining area, indicating a potential genetic relationship between the Early Cretaceous magmatism and mineralization. Many other intrusion-related hydrothermal deposits (including the two typical skarns, Huanggang and Haobugao) in the southern Great Xing’an Range also share similar mineralization ages (i.e., 140–130 Ma). Together, these data suggest an Early Cretaceous mineralization event in this region, and this large-scale mineralization could be related to the regional tectonic regime transition from compression to extension as a result of the rollback of the subducted Paleo-Pacific plate. The initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios of the sphalerite and pyrite samples are 0.70569 and 0.70616, respectively, implying that the ore-forming material could have a significant contribution from the mantle components. The current study shows that sulfide Rb–Sr dating could be used in deciphering the timing of skarn deposit formation.

Enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) is a significant epigenetic regulator that plays a critical role in the development and progression of cancer. However, the multiomics features and immunological effects of EZH2 in pan-cancer remain unclear. Transcriptome and clinical raw data of pan-cancer samples were acquired from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases, and subsequent data analyses were conducted by using R software (version 4.1.0). Furthermore, numerous bioinformatics analysis databases also reapplied to comprehensively explore and elucidate the oncogenic mechanism and therapeutic potential of EZH2 from pan-cancer insight. Finally, quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemical assays were performed to verify the differential expression of EZH2 gene in various cancers at the mRNA and protein levels. EZH2 was widely expressed in multiple normal and tumor tissues, predominantly located in the nucleoplasm. Compared with matched normal tissues, EZH2 was aberrantly expressed in most cancers either at the mRNA or protein level, which might be caused by genetic mutations, DNA methylation, and protein phosphorylation. Additionally, EZH2 expression was correlated with clinical prognosis, and its up-regulation usually indicated poor survival outcomes in cancer patients. Subsequent analysis revealed that EZH2 could promote tumor immune evasion through T-cell dysfunction and T-cell exclusion. Furthermore, expression of EZH2 exhibited a strong correlation with several immunotherapy-associated responses (i.e., immune checkpoint molecules, tumor mutation burden (TMB), microsatellite instability (MSI), mismatch repair (MMR) status, and neoantigens), suggesting that EZH2 appeared to be a novel target for evaluating the therapeutic efficacy of immunotherapy.

Suppressing the dissolution and accelerating conversion kinetics of intermediate polysulfides are central to the practical usage of lithium−sulfur (Li–S) battery in a wide temperature range. Herein, an atomic engineering strategy is innovatively proposed to constructing a sulfur host consisting of chemical-anchoring zinc atomic cluster within double layer N-doped carbon matrix (ZnAC CM@CL) for addressing concerns. The as-prepared ZnAC CM@CL@S can deliver capacity as high as 1451 mAh g−1 at 0.2 C with electrolyte/sulfur ratio (E/S ratio) of 5.5 μL mg−1 and maintain 749 mAh g−1 after 1200 cycles (fading rate of 0.021% per cycle) at 5 C. Remarkably, the reversible capacity holds 627 mAh g−1 at 0.2 C at the −25 ℃. By a further combination analysis of electron holography (EH) and geometry phase analysis (GPA), the outstanding performance is revealed to be mainly traced to synergistic effect of the polarity N-doped multi-layer carbon matrix and internal periodical charge field induced by atomic strain, greatly enhancing the capability towards on the immobilization and conversion of intermediate polysulfides. More importantly, such an interplay also renders the strongly coupled cathode achieve a high area specific capacity of 8.71 mAh cm−2 even the area sulfur loading obtain to 7.34 mg cm−2. This atomic-level engineering strategy might shed light on the novel insights on the design of high performance for sulfur hosts.

It is very promising and challenging to construct a yolk-shell structure with highly efficient microwave absorption (MA) performance through a simple fabrication process. Here, a novel C/MnO@void@C (MCC) yolk-shell structure has been successfully synthesized by one-step calcination without additional processing. The as-obtained MCC composites with tunable crystallinity degrees and hollowness can be obtained by treatment at various temperatures. The MCC composites treated at 700 °C (MCC-700) show an impressive MA performance, and the optimal reflection loss of -53.2 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.4 GHz can be obtained. This excellent performance results from multiple balance mechanisms. First, the regulated permittivity of MCC-700 due to proper crystallinity and hollowness is beneficial for the balance between dielectric loss (tan δe) and impedance match (Zim). Second, the optimal balance between the increasing polarization range and decreasing polarization intensity can be achieved, which is favorable for the improvement of the MA performance. Third, the multicore yolk-shell structure of MCC-700 is conducive to multiple scattering and continuous energy dissipation. Thus, our new findings provide a rational way for the utilization of yolk-shell structural manganese-based materials.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been verified as ideal precursors for preparing highly effective microwave absorbers. However, it is still challenging to fabricate a thin, lightweight, and well-organized nanostructure with strong microwave absorption (MA) capability and wide absorption bandwidth. In this study, hollow cube dual-semiconductor Ln2O3/MnO/C (Ln = Nd, Gd, Er) nanocomposites, which are effective microwave absorbers, have been fabricated via one-step high-temperature carbonization of Ln-Mn-MOFs. The effect of band gap on the MA performance of various nanocomposites synthesized at the same carbonization temperature is investigated. Gd2O3/MnO/C-800 shows superior MA capacity with maximum reflection loss (RLmax) of -64.4 dB at 12.8 GHz and 1.86 mm-thickness. When the thickness is 1.44 mm, the RL value is obtained as -52.7 dB at 16.8 GHz, and at a low frequency of 4.36 GHz and thickness of 4.59 mm, the RL value reaches -56.4 dB. Further, the effect of temperature on the MA properties of Gd2O3/MnO/C is examined. The results reveal that Gd2O3/MnO/C-700 has an ultrahigh MA bandwidth of 6.6 GHz, covering the entire Ku bands at 2.09 mm-thickness. Overall, this work demonstrates a facile strategy to construct hollow, homogeneous ternary composites with outstanding MA performance.

Combining dielectric and magnetic components has been regarded as a promising way to develop functional materials with outstanding microwave absorption (MA) performance. However, it remains a tremendous challenge to assemble multi components into an integrated composite with suitable impedance matching via conventional wet chemical methods. Herein, ternary polypyrrole@Fe3O4/carbon nanotubes (PPy@Fe3O4/CNTs) microspheres with special hollow structure were successfully fabricated via a facile spray-dry method, which can realize rational assembly of magnetic and dielectric components. Hollow PPy@Fe3O4/CNTs spheres simultaneously avoid the agglomeration of magnetic particles while achieve the synergistic absorption. The maximum reflection loss of PPy@Fe3O4/CNTs absorber reached −51.8 dB at 8.8 GHz at the thickness of 2.38 mm. The relationship among components, structure and MA performance was also studied. As MA units, multi-component PPy@Fe3O4/CNTs microspheres effectively combine conductive polymer (PPy), strong magnetic Fe3O4 and high-conductivity CNTs. Thus, the composite gains the advantage of complementation of dielectric, magnetic and conductive loss. Meanwhile, reasonable assembling of different components constructs abundant interfaces which can enhance dielectric polarization and hence improve absorption capacity. The special structure optimizes the distribution of CNTs, helping the composites to achieve better impedance matching. Overall, this work introduces an excellent microwave absorber and gives a new thought of material design.

Surface magnetic configurations and electromagnetic responding behaviors can be efficiently modulated by controlling the growth of magnetic materials, which has always been a huge challenge. Here, an in situ orientation growth strategy is developed to build a micron scale Fe3O4–Fe3O4@C heterojunction via applying Kirkendall diffusion to the orientation growth process. Undergoing precipitation and phase transition process, the oriented Fe3O4 octahedron tightly rooted in anisotropy Fe3O4@C body, constructing various magnetic configurations and enhancing stray magnetic field intensity. As-synthesized magnetic-dielectric microspheres exhibited excellent energy conversion capacity toward electromagnetic wave, including strong reflection loss (RL: 40.8 dB, 2.0 mm) and ultra-wide absorption region (∼11.04 GHz, ∼69% of the tested frequency). Essentially, cross-space magnetic coupling enlarges the responding region beyond the material itself and strengthens electromagnetic wave disputation. Local charge density distribution around the grain boundary plays the key role in forming the enhanced interfacial polarization, which is characterized by the off-axis electronic holography. More importantly, the dynamic response mechanism was firstly observed under an applied magnetic field. Changing magnetic configurations induce the rearrangement of magnetic flux distribution, providing the internal magnetic feedback. Above-mentioned dielectric and magnetic properties of Fe3O4–Fe3O4@C composites make a breakthrough understanding toward the energy conversion mechanisms.

Large-scale gold mineralization during the Early Cretaceous is identified in the Jiaodong Peninsula of China. Sources of ore-forming fluids remain debated. We study the Qilishan gold deposit in the northwestern Jiaodong Peninsula with detailed mineralogical observation and in-situ sulfur isotope analyses, in order to reveal the gold occurrence and the origin of ore-forming fluids. The Qilishan gold deposit is mainly clastic altered rock-type in mineralization, and ore minerals are visible native gold, electrum, pyrite, chalcopyrite and galena, gangue minerals as quartz, sericite and calcite. The gold occurrence includes inclusion and intergranular types, formed within pyrites and chalcopyrites and along their fissures. In-situ sulfur isotope analysis of gold-bearing sulfides suggests that the Qilishan deposit is enriched in heavy sulfur, with δ34S values mainly from +8.0‰ to +12.0‰. δ34S values increase gradually with the fluid evolution from the early to late stages, which is interpreted to be related to the loss of sulfur via sulfide precipitation. The crystallization of sulfides from hydrothermal fluids may have triggered the instability of Au(HS)2, and finally led to gold precipitation. Combined with sulfur isotope compositions of other gold deposits (n=43) and wall-rocks in the Jiaodong Peninsula, it is proposed that the ore-forming fluids were probably not directly originated from metamorphic wall-rocks (e.g., Jiaodong Group). Moreover, the relatively long time interval rules out the possibility that the gold mineralization (ca. 120 Ma) was associated with granitic magma activities (mostly 160–150 Ma). Possible ore genesis scenario is that, long-term subduction of slabs (e.g., the Paleo-Pacific) with gold-enriched pyritic materials and crustal sedimentary rocks resulted in both high Au contents and positive δ34S values of sulfur in the lithospheric mantle below the North China Craton. Subsequently, devolatilization of the metasomatized mantle produced auriferous fluids that migrated upward along translithospheric fault systems, and gold finally precipitated in favorable structural positions, generating the world-class Jiaodong deposits in the Early Cretaceous.

Herein, a three-dimension hierarchical “nanotubes on microrods,” core–shell magnetic metal–carbon composite is rationally constructed for the first time via a fast metal–organic frameworks-based ligand exchange strategy followed by a carbonization treatment with melamine. Abundant magnetic CoFe nanoparticles are embedded within one-dimensional graphitized carbon/carbon nanotubes supported on micro-scale Mo2N rod (Mo2N@CoFe@C/CNT), constructing a special multi-dimension hierarchical MA material. Ligand exchange reaction is found to determine the formation of hierarchical magnetic-dielectric composite, which is assembled by dielectric Mo2N as core and spatially dispersed CoFe nanoparticles within C/CNTs as shell. Mo2N@CoFe@C/CNT composites exhibit superior MA performance with maximum reflection loss of − 53.5 dB at 2 mm thickness and show a broad effective absorption bandwidth of 5.0 GHz. The Mo2N@CoFe@C/CNT composites hold the following advantages: (1) hierarchical core–shell structure offers plentiful of heterojunction interfaces and triggers interfacial polarization, (2) unique electronic migration/hop paths in the graphitized C/CNTs and Mo2N rod facilitate conductive loss, (3) highly dispersed magnetic CoFe nanoparticles within “tubes on rods” matrix build multi-scale magnetic coupling network and reinforce magnetic response capability, confirmed by the off-axis electron holography. Recently it is a hot topic to make full use of high abundant Y element in Nd2Fe14B-type permanent magnets. In contrast to Pr and Nd elements, Y shows different metallurgical behaviors during preparation process. In this paper, we have explored the magnetic properties, microstructures and corrosion performance of Pr-Nd-Y-Fe-B magnets fabricated by spark plasma sintering (SPS) technique from the ribbons of nanocrystalline and amorphous precursors, respectively. The coercivity and maximum energy product were improved for the magnets prepared from amorphous precursor materials (denoted as SPS-A hereafter) compared with the magnets prepared from crystalline precursor materials (denoted as SPS-C hereafter). Magnetic properties of Jr = 0.79 T, Hci = 864 kA/m, and (BH)max = 102 kJ/m3 were obtained for SPS-A magnets. In contrast with SPS-C magnets, the magnetic properties of SPS-A magnets are not so sensitive to the preparation conditions, which is quite beneficial to the homogeneity of microstructure and enhancement of coercivity for large-scale production of the designated magnets. Aggregated (Pr,Nd,Y)-rich phase was found out in SPS-C magnets. Pr and Nd elements are rich at grain boundary while Y is distributed uniformly at main phase and grain boundary phase. The strip grains and equiaxed grains exist in SPS-C and SPS-A magnets, respectively. The enhanced magnetic properties for SPS-A magnets are accredited to the uniform distribution of rare-earth-rich phase and low demagnetization factor. It is revealed by electrochemical test and dipping test that the corrosion potential is more positive and the corrosion rate is slower for the SPS-A magnets in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution. The work is also expected to shed light on developing the nanocrystalline Pr-Nd-Y-Fe-B SPSed high-performance magnets in industry.

Skyrmions with topologically nontrivial spin textures are promising information carriers in next-generation ultralow power consumption and high-density spintronic devices. To promote their further development and utilization, the search for new room temperature skyrmion-hosting materials is crucial. Considering that most of the previous skyrmion-hosting materials are noncollinear magnets, here, the detection of the topological Hall effect (THE) and the discovery of skyrmions at room temperature are first reported in a centrosymmetric complex noncollinear ferromagnet NdMn2Ge2. Below 330 K, the compound can host stable Bloch-type skyrmions with about 75 nm diameter in a wide window of magnetic field and temperature, including zero magnetic field and room temperature. Moreover, the skyrmions can induce a giant topological Hall effect in a wide temperature range with a maximum value of -2.05 μΩ cm. These features make the compound attractive for both fundamental research and potential application in novel spintronic devices.

As a typical 2D (two dimensional) material, Ti3C2Tx, has been used as a promising microwave absorber (MA) because of its massive interface architecture, abundant natural defects, and chemical surface functional groups. However, its single dielectric-type loss and excessive high conductivity seriously restrict the further enhancement of MA performance. Herein, we first describe a simple spray-drying routine to reshape the 2D MXene into a confined and magnetized microsphere with tightly embedded Fe3O4 nanospheres (designated as M/F), contributing to the enhanced specific interfaces and strong dielectric polarization. These Fe3O4 magnetic units are highly dispersed into the dielectric Mxene framework, leading to the optimized impedance balance and electromagnetic coordination capability. This composite way effectively exceeds the conventionally physical mixing, simple loading, and local phase separation method. Meanwhile, strong magnetic loss capability with significantly improved magnetic flux line density is achieved from microscale MXene and nanoscale Fe3O4, confirming our 3D multiscale magnetic coupling network. Accordingly, the M/F composites hold distinct microwave absorption property with the strong reflection loss (-50.6 dB) and effective absorption bandwidth (4.67 GHz) at the thickness as thin as only 2 mm. Our encouraging strategy provides important designable implications for MXene-based functional materials and high-performance absorbers.

Fabricating microwave absorbers (MA) with strong attenuation capability and lightweight is still a challenge problem, which limit their further applications in our daily life. Herein, magnetic vortex core-shell Fe3O4@C nanorings (FNR-C) with excellent microwave absorption property have been successfully prepared by a facile strategy. Electron holography analysis is carried out to detect the magnetic vortex structure of FNR-C. Furthermore, the microwave absorption properties of these samples are investigated in terms of complex permittivity and permeability. The FNR-C exhibits a strong reflection loss value of −61.54 dB at 16.9 GHz with a thickness of 1.50 mm and a low filling ratio of 25%. It’s the first time to take magnetic vortex into discussion. The unexceptionable attenuation ability is mainly attributed to the eddy current loss enhanced by combination of confinement vortex and strain-driven vortex. Besides, thanks to the dielectric feature of carbon, the Fe3O4 core is beneficial for the impedance match. Our findings provide a guidance to the development of nanoferrite@carbon hybrid materials with excellent microwave absorption property from the perspective of magnetic vortex.

Objective. The aim is to evaluate the effects of routine health care combined with oral vitamin D on linear growth in 5-year-old children. Materials and Methods. The 5-year-old children who received routine health care in Shiyan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January 2019 to January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into the supplement group and the non-supplement group according to whether or not they received oral vitamin D, and reasons for not taking oral vitamin D and its influence on children’s linear growth were analyzed. Results. A total of 368 children were enrolled, including 228 children in the supplement group, accounting for 61.96%. The analysis of the influencing factors of vitamin D supplementation showed that the proportion of children with well-educated parents and living in cities and towns was higher (all P < 0.05 ). Comparing the general situation of children in the two groups, it was found that the height, weight, and head circumference of children in the supplement group were notably higher than those in the non-supplement group (all P < 0.05 ). At age 4 and 5, the height of the supplement group was significantly higher than that of the non-supplement group (all P < 0.001 ). Linear analysis showed that the relationship between height and age in the supplement group was Y (height, cm) = 10.07 × X (age, years) + 61.18, while that in the non-supplement group was Y (height, cm) = 8.296 × X (age, years) + 62.81, with significant difference (all P < 0.05 ). Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentration in the supplement group was significantly higher than that in the non-supplement group, and the proportion of children ≥75 nmol/L was evidently higher than that in the supplement group (all P < 0.05 ). In addition, the incidence of vitamin D-related hypercalcemia in the supplement group was significantly higher than that in the non-supplement group (all P < 0.05 ). Conclusion. There are still more children without vitamin D supplement, which is closely related to their parents’ education background and place of residence. Additionally, vitamin D supplementation can promote growth and improve 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels in children, but with the risk of related complications.

Background: As a caspase-independent type of cell death, necroptosis plays a significant role in the initiation, and progression of gastric cancer (GC). Numerous studies have confirmed that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are closely related to the prognosis of patients with GC. However, the relationship between necroptosis and lncRNAs in GC remains unclear.Methods: The molecular profiling data (RNA-sequencing and somatic mutation data) and clinical information of patients with stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) were retrieved from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to identify the necroptosis-related lncRNAs (NRLs). Subsequently, univariate Cox regression and LASSO-Cox regression were conducted to establish a 12-NRLs signature in the training set and validate it in the testing set. Finally, the prognostic power of the 12-NRLs signature was appraised via survival analysis, nomogram, Cox regression, clinicopathological characteristics correlation analysis, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Furthermore, correlations between the signature risk score (RS) and immune cell infiltration, immune checkpoint molecules, somatic gene mutations, and anticancer drug sensitivity were analyzed.Results: In the present study, a 12-NRLs signature comprising REPIN1-AS1, UBL7-AS1, LINC00460, LINC02773, CHROMR, LINC01094, FLNB-AS1, ITFG1-AS1, LASTR, PINK1-AS, LINC01638, and PVT1 was developed to improve the prognosis prediction of STAD patients. Unsupervised methods, including principal component analysis and t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding, confirmed the capability of the present signature to separate samples with RS. Kaplan-Meier and ROC curves revealed that the signature had an acceptable predictive potency in the TCGA training and testing sets. Cox regression and stratified survival analysis indicated that the 12-NRLs signature were risk factors independent of various clinical parameters. Additionally, immune cell infiltration, immune checkpoint molecules, somatic gene mutations, and half-inhibitory concentration differed significantly among different risk subtypes, which implied that the signature could assess the clinical efficacy of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.Conclusion: This 12-NRLs risk signature may help assess the prognosis and molecular features of patients with STAD and improve treatment modalities, thus can be further applied clinically.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and safety of temporary ileostomy via median specimen extraction site in the lower abdomen. Methods: Twenty-two patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection for rectal cancer and needed temporary ileostomy were prospectively enrolled. Temporary ileostomy was placed on the median specimen extraction site of the lower abdomen. Intraoperative and postoperative conditions, stoma-related complications and ileostomy reversal surgery were observed. d. Results: Among the 22 patients, there were 14 female patients and 8 male patients: the average age was 56 ±14 years; the average body mass index was 22.0 ±3.4 kg/m2; the average tumour size was 4.4 ±2.2 cm; the average distance between the tumour and the dentate line was 5.9 ±2.3 cm; the average time of laparoscopic low anterior resection was 221 ±56 minutes; the average blood loss was 168 ±91 ml; and the average postoperative hospital stay was 9.9 ±3.9 days. The average ileostomy reversal surgery time was 72 ±15 minutes, the average blood loss was 50 ±27 ml, and the average postoperative hospital stay was 5.9 ±1.0 days. Stoma-related complications occurred in 5 patients, of which one was treated by emergency surgery. Conclusion: In laparoscopic low anterior resection, patients with temporary ileostomy via the median specimen extraction site did not have serious complications that required surgical intervention during hospitalization, and there was no mortality during the perioperative period. It is safe and feasible to perform temporary ileostomies via the median specimen extraction site in the lower abdomen, but for permanent ileostomies, the median site in the lower abdomen should be carefully selected as the ileostomy site.

The advancement of electromagnetic (EM) protection technology promotes the urgent demand for the structural design of electromagnetic functional materials. Here, tadpole-like Fe@SiO2 @C-Ni (FSCN) composites with magnetic core-shell and nonspherical hollow architectures through multiple hydrolysis-polymerization reactions are reported. The Fe core and well-distributed Ni nanoparticles greatly promote the magnetic properties of FSCN and construct a multiscale magnetic coupling network. Meanwhile, the multishell composites consisting of carbon shell with Ni decorated possess an abundance of heterogeneous interfaces, generating effective interfacial polarization and relaxation. The hollow feature and the coordination of magnetic and dielectric capacities offer an optimized impedance balance, providing a fundament for the microwaves propagating into the absorber. Owing to the attractive effects resulted from the deliberate tadpole-like structure design, the FSCN composites ensure an effective EM energy conversion at the high-frequency region, which obtain the strongest reflection loss value of -45.2 dB and the extremely broad effective absorption bandwidth of 13.1 GHz. This work provides an important solution for magnetic-dielectric nanostructure design for microwave absorption and energy conversion materials.

Developing electromagnetic absorption materials with a strong absorption ability and wide absorption bandwidth has attracted widespread attention in the field of electromagnetic shielding, but it still remains a great challenge. Herein, we successfully developed 2D hierarchically laminated Fe3O4@nanoporous carbon (NPC)@rGO magnetic/dielectric nanocomposites as high-performance microwave absorbers through a facile microwave-assisted approach. The rational design of the composition (Fe3O4, NPC and rGO) and the hierarchical microstructure provided the nanocomposite with a micro-scale 3D magnetic coupling network, a hierarchical dielectric carbon network and good impedance matching, which were identified by the off-axis electronic holography and electromagnetic characterization. As expected, the Fe3O4@NPC@rGO composites achieved a strong reflection loss of −72.6 dB, a matching thickness of 2.0 mm and a broad bandwidth of 5.5 GHz. Such excellent achievements encourage the development of hierarchical magnetic EMA absorbers and provide remarkable inspiration for designing high-performance microwave absorbers.

The Sulige gas field is a typical low-pressure low-permeability tight sandstone gas reservoir. The reservoir has poor seepage capacity, strong heterogeneity, high mineralization of formation water and extremely scarce water resources on the site. These unfavorable factors have brought great difficulties to the on-site mining process. Now, a nano-composite green environmental protection slick water fracturing fluid system CQFR can be quickly dissolved because of the larger specific surface area, and the small molecular size makes the damage to the reservoir less than 5%, and the average drag reduction effect can reach more than 73%. It can quickly and well dissolve and maintain performance under high salinity conditions and fracturing flowback fluids. It responds well to the complex reservoir conditions on the construction site and makes the flowback fluid recyable, which greatly reduces the consumption of water resources on the construction site and effectively improves the construction efficiency and economic benefits.

Hollow structures have attracted great attention based on the advantage to accommodate volume expansion. However, template removal usually results in structure destruction. Herein, dandelion-like Mn/Ni co-doped CoO/C hollow microspheres (CMNC-10h) are synthesized via an Ostwald ripening process without templates. The high-angle annular dark field mapping images at the atomic level indicate the successful doping of Mn and Ni into CoO. Via an annular bright field image, oxygen vacancies induced by doping can be clearly observed. The residual two electrons in the oxygen vacancy site are highly delocalized, as confirmed by density functional theory calculations, effectively improving electrical conductivity. According to electron holography analysis, the dielectric polarization field in superficial regions of primary nanoparticles can facilitate insertion of Li+ ions into nanoparticles and thus enhance electrochemical kinetics. Combining those advantages, CMNC-10h demonstrates a high capacity of 1126 mAh g-1 at 1 A g-1 after 1000 cycles as anode material for a lithium-ion battery. Additionally, based on the strong adsorption toward polysulfide, the porous structure to accommodate sulfer/polysulfide, and the effects of oxygen vacancies to immobilize and catalyze polysulfide, CMNC-10h-S as cathode material for a lithium-sulfur battery also displays a high capacity of 642 mAh g-1 after 500 cycles at 1 C.

Nanocrystalline Ce–Fe–B based rare earth permanent magnets are prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS) method using grounded ribbons as raw material. The phase compositions, microstructure, magnetic properties, intergranular magnetic interactions, recoil loops, and corrosion resistance of the magnets are investigated systemically. The relationship among sintering processes, microstructures, and magnetic characteristics are discussed in depth by mainly using transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS) techniques. It is demonstrated that the sintering temperature has a significant influence on the average grain size and width of coarse grain areas. The optimized magnetic properties of remanent magnetization $J_{r}= 0.37$ T, coercivity $H_{\mathrm {ci}} = 227$ kA/m, and maximum energy product $(BH)_{\mathrm {max}}= 16$ kJ/m3 are obtained at 650 °C under 50 MPa for 2 min. Their exchanging coupling interactions are quite weak compared with those of the counterpart alloys. The exchanged decoupled of soft magnetic materials and inhomogeneous magnetic anisotropy result in open and steep recoil loops. The electrochemical experiment results display that the corrosion resistance of the magnets is improved by sintering at high temperature. This paper plays a role in guiding the future research and development of nanocrystalline Ce–Fe–B based permanent magnetic materials.

Ce-Fe-B spark plasma sintered (SPSed) magnets prepared with different ratio of alloys of Ce-Fe-B and Pr-Nd-Fe-B by dual alloy method are investigated in this paper. As expected, the remanent magnetization Jr, coercivity Hci and maximum energy product (BH)max of SPSed magnets increase obviously with increasing weight percentage of Pr-Nd-Fe-B alloy. The magnetic properties of Jr = 0.71 T, Hci = 915 kA/m, (BH)max = 72 kJ/m3 are obtained for the SPSed magnets with 80 wt% Pr-Nd-Fe-B alloy. There are three Curie temperatures in this type magnet, which implies the coexistence of three hard magnetic phases. The second Curie temperature depends on the Pr-Nd-Fe-B content. With increasing Pr-Nd-Fe-B alloy content, the volume fraction and width of coarse grain zone decrease. It is shown by the microstructure analysis that the rare earth elements diffuse during sintering process resulting in the formation of Pr-Nd-Ce-Fe-B hard magnetic phase. The intergranular exchange coupling strength is enhanced with increasing Pr-Nd-Fe-B content. The present research may be a potential reference for further research and development of this type Ce-containing nanocrystalline permanent magnetic materials.

In this paper Hf doped (Nd0.8Ce0.2)13Fe82−xB5Hfx (x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0) ribbons were fabricated by melt-spinning technique, and their microstructure, magnetic properties and coercivity mechanism have been investigated methodically. It is found that the coercivity of (Nd0.8Ce0.2)13Fe82−xB5Hfx ribbons is enhanced for 0 ≤ x ≤ 2.0 at.% while the remanence decreases slightly. The optimal comprehensive magnetic properties Jr = 7.5 kG, Hcj = 12.7 kOe, and (BH)max = 12.3 MGOe, are obtained at x = 1.0 at.%. The grain size decreased with the addition of Hf and more uniform microstructure evolved. The coercivity mechanism of the (Nd0.8Ce0.2)13Fe82−xB5Hfx (x = 0–3.0) ribbons is found to be the pinning mechanism based on the systematic investigations and analysis. The synchronization of the grain refinement and the pinning effect lead to the improvement of magnetic properties.
