This study investigated the chemical composition and in vitro antibacterial and antioxidant activities of the essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation from the aerial parts ofLeonurus pseudomacranthusKitag for the first time. The chemical composition was studied by GC-FID and GC-MS. Forty-nine compounds accounting for 91.1% of the essential oil were identified. The major components were s clareol (34.8%), β- c aryophyllene (7.1%), p recocene (I) (6.3%) and α- m uurolene (5.3%). The antibacterial activity of the essential oil was assessed by the disc diffusion and microdilution methods. The essential oil showed excellent antibacterial activity againstBacillus subtilisandStaphylococcus aureuswith MIC values of 0.039 mg/mL and 0.156 mg/mL, respectively. Moreover, the antioxidant potential was evaluated by DPPH, ABTS and FRAP assays. The essential oil gave IC 50 values of 1.5 13 mg/mL, 0.1 52 mg/mL in DPPH and ABTS methods, and a Trolox equivalent concentration of 33.63 μmol Trolox × g -1 in FRAP method. The results indicated that the essential oil could be regarded as a promising product for pharmaceutical and food industry after more detailed study.

The essential oil (EO) from the aerial parts of Leontopodium leontopodioides (Willd.) Beauverd was obtained by hydrodistillation and analysed by GC–FID and GC–MS. Sixty-five compounds were identified which represent 96.2% of the total composition of the EO. The major components of the EO were palmitic acid (11.6%), n-pentadecanal (5.7%), linalool (3.8%), β-ionone (3.3%), hexahydrofarnesyl acetone (3.2%), bisabolone (3.2%) and β-caryophyllene (3.2%). The EO exhibited an excellent antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis according to the MIC values tested by micro-dilution method. It also exhibited a significant cytotoxicity against HepG2 and MCF-7 cell lines with the IC50 values of 67.44 and 70.49 μg/mL according to the MTT assay. However, the antioxidant activity test revealed that the EO exhibited a weak DPPH radical-scavenging activity. In conclusion, the EO of L. leontopodioides could be regarded as a bioactive natural product and deserves further study for its potential therapeutic effects.

The ageing of copper foils and Copper foils-surfaced in UV rays are studied by 3D Video, SEM, EDX, which shows that copper foils and Copper foils-surfaced are in different level of ageing; embossment and crack which are the most obvious aging characteristics found by SEM, obviously, the ageing velocity of copper foil -surfaced is higher; The sulfur is found in the powder-like material around the embossment on the surface of copper foils by EDX, which indicates that sulfur is involved in the process of aging.

Bel1, a transactivator of prototype foamy virus (PFV), plays pivotal roles in the replication of PFV. Previous studies have shown that Bel1 bears a nuclear localization signal (NLS), but its amino acid sequence remains unclear and the corresponding importins have not been identified. In this report, we inserted various fragments of Bel1 into an EGFP-GST fusion protein and investigated their subcellular localization by fluorescence microscopy. We found that the 215PRQKRPR221 fragment could direct nuclear localization, which accords with the consensus sequence K(K/R)X(K/R) of monopartite NLS. Point mutation experiments revealed that K218, R219, and R221 are essential for the nuclear localization of Bel1. The results of the GST-pulldown showed that the Bel1 fragment with residues 215-223, which bears the NLS, interacts with KPNA1, KPNA6, and KPNA7. This result suggests that KPNA1, KPNA6, and KPNA7 maybe involved in Bel1 nuclear translocation.

A new acetophenone derivative, 5-acetyl-2-(2-hydroxyisopropyl)-7-(3,3-dimethylallyl)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran, has been isolated from the whole plants of Senecio vulgaris. Its structure was established on the basis of spectroscopic methods.

A new eremophilane sesquiterpene was isolated from the roots of Senecio nemorensis. Its structure was established as 10alpha-hydroxy-6beta-propionyloxy-1-oxoeremophila-7(11),8-dieno-12,8-lactone on the basis of spectral analysis.

This paper presents a new online health diagnosis method of the mine hoister based on the multi-sensor information fusion and fuzzy sets. A calculating method of the mass function for this system based on the fuzzy set was given. The correlation coefficients are replaced by the membership function using the fuzzy theory. The mass functions are obtained according to the object types. This method is suitable for the online health diagnosis systems. By using the Dempster-Shafer (D-S) evidential theory, the information fusion is carried out. In the end, we used the above methods in the health diagnosis system of the mine hoister. The diagnosis result indicates that these methods can improve the accuracy and reliability of health diagnosis of the mine hoister effectively.
