15. Experimental Study on Chemical–Mechanical Synergistic Preparation for Cemented Carbide Insert Cutting Edge.

Abstract

Typical edge defects in the edge region of a new cemented carbide insert without edge preparation include burrs, poor surface quality, micro-breakages, and irregularities along the edge. To address the problems in new cemented carbide inserts without edge preparations, a chemical–mechanical synergistic preparation (CMSP) method for the cemented carbide insert cutting edge was proposed. Firstly, the CMSP device for the insert cutting edge was constructed. Then, the polishing slurry of the CMSP for the insert cutting edge was optimized using the Taguchi method combined with a grey relation analysis and fuzzy inference. Finally, orthogonal experiments, the Taguchi method, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to investigate the effect of the polishing plate's rotational speed, swing angle, and input frequency of the controller on the edge preparation process, and the parameters were optimized. The results showed that the best parameter combination for the polishing slurry for the cemented carbide inserts was the mass concentration of the abrasive particle of 10 wt%, the mass concentration of the oxidant of 10 wt%, the mass concentration of the dispersant of 2 wt%, and the pH of 8. The CMSP process parameter combination for the linear edge had the polishing plate's rotational speed of 90 rpm, the swing angle of 6°, and the input frequency of the controller of 5000 Hz. The optimum CMSP process parameter combination for the circular edge had the polishing plate's rotational speed of 90 rpm, the swing angle of 6°, and the input frequency of the controller of 7000 Hz. The polishing plate's rotational speed had the most significant impact on the edge preparation process, followed by the swing angle, and the effect of the input frequency of the controller was the smallest. 34. Experimental Investigation on Chemical Mechanical Polishing of ZA27 Alloy Considering Galvanic Corrosion at Zn/Al Interface

Abstract

To improve the surface integrity of ZA27 alloy, a method of chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) considering the galvanic corrosion at the Zn/Al interface is proposed to treat the surface of ZA27 alloy. Firstly, the electrochemical experiment is carried out to study the influence of the pH, H2O2concentration, and glycine concentration on corrosion potential between zinc and aluminum. Then the Taguchi method integrated with grey relation analysis and fuzzy inference are used to optimize the CMP parameters of ZA27 alloy. Finally, the prediction model of the MRR and surface roughness Ra is established using the mathematical regression analysis method. The experimental results showed that the minimum zinc-aluminum corrosion potential difference is 14 mV when the pH is 10, H2O2concentration is 1 wt%, and glycine concentration is 0.4 wt%. The optimum CMP parameter is the polishing pressure of 34 kPa, the polishing plate’s rotational speed of 70 rpm, and the abrasive particle concentration of 15 wt%. After polishing with the optimum CMP parameter, the MRR is 242 nm min−1, and the surface roughness Ra is 13.91 nm. This study demonstrates that the CMP considering the galvanic corrosion at the Zn/Al interface is an effective method for treating ZA27 alloy surface.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to detect mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein (MLKL) expression in gastric cancer (GC) and to analyze its association with the prognosis of GC patients. Immunohistochemical staining, Western blotting, and quantitative reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction were performed to detect MLKL tissue expression in 117 GC patients. Clinicopathological characteristics and survival data were retrospectively analyzed to discover the clinical importance of MLKL expression. The chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between MLKL expression and the clinicopathological characteristics. Survival curves were plotted by using the Kaplan–Meier method and compared using the log-rank test. Survival data were evaluated using univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses. The expression of MLKL mRNA was significantly higher in adjacent normal samples than in the tumor tissues (P = 0.003). Abstract

Background: Pregabalin has been used as an adjunct for the management of acute pain in laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This meta-analysis aimed to illustrate the efficacy and safety of pregabalin for pain management following laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: In March 2017, a systematic computer-based search was conducted in PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and Google databases. Data on patients prepared for laparoscopic cholecystectomy in studies that compared pregabalin versus placebo were retrieved. The primary endpoints were the visual analog scale (VAS) score with rest or mobilization at 6, 12, and 24 hours and total morphine consumption. The secondary outcomes were the morphine-related complications (i.e., nausea, vomiting, dizziness, somnolence, headache, pruritus, urine retention, respiratory depression, and blurred vision). Continuous outcomes were expressed as the weighted mean difference (WMD) with a corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI), and discontinuous outcomes were expressed as a risk ratio (RR) with a corresponding 95% CI. Results: Twelve clinical studies with 938 patients (gabapentin group = 536, control group = 402) were ultimately included in the meta-analysis. Pregabalin was associated with reduced pain scores with rest at 6, 12, and 24 hours, which corresponded to a reduction of 11.27 points at 6 hours, 9.46 points at 12 hours, and 3.99 points at 24 hours on a 100-point VAS. Moreover, pregabalin was associated with reduced pain scores with mobilization at 6, 12, and 24 hours, which corresponded to a reduction of 8.74 points, 5.80 points and 6.37 points at 6, 12, and 24 hours, respectively, on a 110-point VAS. Furthermore, pregabalin reduced the occurrence of nausea and vomiting. There were no significant differences in the occurrence of respiratory depression, pruritus, dizziness, blurred vision, and headache. Conclusions: Pregabalin was efficacious in the reduction of postoperative pain, total morphine consumption, and morphine-related complications following laparoscopic cholecystectomy. In addition, a high dose of pregabalin was more effective than a low dose. The dose of pregabalin differed across the studies, and the heterogeneity was large. More studies are needed to verify the optimal dose of pregabalin in laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients.
