Road roughness significantly impacts vehicle safety and dynamic responses. For nonlinear suspension systems, the nonlinear characteristics often make it challenging for estimators to identify the actual road roughness accurately. This paper proposes a hybrid road roughness identification algorithm based on nonlinear auto-regressive with exogenous inputs (NARX) and a process noise adaptive square root cubature Kalman filter (PASCKF) to address this issue. Driven by vehicle acceleration data, an NARX-based road roughness identification system is constructed to mitigate the model uncertainties. Furthermore, a hybrid strategy is proposed. On the one hand, the accurate road roughness estimated by the NARX is converted into process noise covariance, enhancing the estimator's accuracy and convergence rate. Another switching strategy is proposed to optimize the non-convergence issues of the PASCKF. Finally, simulation and actual vehicle experiment data demonstrate that this approach offers superior identification accuracy and adaptability compared to the standalone SCKF algorithm. An 8-week experiment was performed to investigate the influence on growth performance, plasma biochemistry, glucose metabolism and the insulin pathway of supplementation of dietary taurine to a high-carbohydrate diet for grass carp. In this study, fish were fed diets at one of two carbohydrate levels, 31·49 % (positive control) or 38·61 % (T00). The high-carbohydrate basal diet (T00), without taurine, was supplemented with 0·05 % (T05), 0·10 % (T10), 0·15 % (T15) or 0·20 % (T20) taurine, resulting in six isonitrogenous (30·37 %) and isolipidic (2·37 %) experimental diets. The experimental results showed that optimal taurine level improved significantly weight gain, specific growth rate (SGR), feed utilisation, reduced plasma total cholesterol levels, TAG and promoted insulin-like growth factor level. Glucokinase, pyruvate kinase and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase activities showed a quadratic function model with increasing dietary taurine level, while hexokinase, fatty acid synthetase activities exhibited a positive linear trend. Optimal taurine supplementation in high-carbohydrate diet upregulated insulin receptor (Ir), insulin receptor substrate (Irs1), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (pi3k), protein kinase B (akt1), glycogen synthase kinase 3 β (gs3kβ) mRNA level and downregulated insulin-like growth factor (igf-1), insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (igf-1R) and Fork head transcription factor 1 (foxo1) mRNA level. The above results suggested that optimal taurine level could improve growth performance, hepatic capacity for glycolipid metabolism and insulin sensitivity, thus enhancing the utilisation of carbohydrates in grass carp. A 56 day feeding trial was conducted to study effects of different carbohydrate‐to‐lipid (CHO.L−1) ratios on growth, serum biochemistry, intestinal digestion and hepatic metabolism of glucose and lipid in juvenile hybrid grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × ♂ E. lanceolatus). Results showed that moderate CHO.L−1 ratio resulted in better growth performance (p <.05). In serum, glucose, insulin and alanine aminotransferase were enhanced as CHO.L−1 ratios increased, whereas cholesterol was reduced (p <.05). Increased CHO.L−1 ratios resulted in raised activity of amylase and reduced activity of lipase in gut (p <.05). Gene expression related to glucose transporters improved (p <.05). Enzyme activity and gene expression involved in hepatic glycolysis improved in a limited manner, whereas enzyme activity and gene expression related to hepatic gluconeogenesis and lipolysis were inhibited in high CHO.L−1 ratio group. Enzyme activity of hepatic lipogenesis showed an elevated trend, including acetyl‐CoA carboxylase and fatty acid synthase (p <.05). In conclusion, different dietary CHO.L−1 ratios affected growth, serum biochemistry, intestinal digestion and hepatic metabolism of glucose and lipid in grouper. We propose and experimentally demonstrate a parallel ultra-fast random bit generation (RBG) scheme based on wideband chaotic microcomb, which utilizes a phase modulation and dispersive component broadening spectrum. The effective bandwidth of each comb tooth is increased by over 10-fold. Wavelet high-pass filtering (WHPF) is employed to make the probability density functions (PDFs) of the chaotic signal's amplitude unbiased, achieving high symmetry with a skewness coefficient |S| of 0.0026, and the RBG rate of a single channel reaches 200 Gbps. Furthermore, the autocorrelation properties of the random sequences from each comb tooth and the cross-correlation properties between different comb teeth are analyzed, confirming both true randomness and orthogonality. This scheme can simultaneously generate dozens of wideband chaotic combs in the wavelength range of 1500-1600 nm.
